(Nice lens for the price) 『I have a couple of Cameras now capable of "superzoom" functioning. A panasonic fz18, an Olympus e-510 with 70-300mm lens, and a Canon T1i with this 55-250mm lens. This lens is very good DSLR zoom lens when the price is also considered, with it just above 200 bucks now. It doesn't have the heft of the Oly 70-300mm and the build quality feels a tad bit less, but the images it produces are as good when combined with the T1i as I can get with my Olympus set-up. I didn't notice it being noisy and felt the IS system really did a good job at 250mm. As I do most of my shooting handheld I strongly recommend anything with an IS system either in the body or lens over lens without, especially when zooming. I won't have even considered the Canon 70-300mm entry level lens that lacks this. Build seems a bit better then then shorter kit lens that comes with the Rebels, and between the two I far prefer this one. I think for most Rebel users this would be the logical second lens to move to after the kit one and for the price is worth it. (for bang for your buck it is very hard to beat the panasonic fz series of superzooms but that is for another review)』

Here are some examples,,,
We went on a week long cruise and I had no computer access but I could recharge with this because there were electrical outlets everywhere.
I was shooting a wedding reception for a friend and forgot to recharge before leaving but by the time the wedding was over I grabbed my fully charged unit where I plugged it into the church wall behind a table and I was ready to shoot the full reception without losing any power.
We went to Myrtle Beach and stayed in a friend's condo. No computer there to recharge but I just popped in my camcorder at night before going to sleep and it was always ready to shoot in the morning.
I have even found outlets at the airport (near soda fountains and vending machines) in a pinch.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that my camera runs out of juice easily, it is, instead, that the cameras owner forgets to recharge it as often as I should.
Negatives: Wish this was made so I could just stick my spare battery pack into it rather than having to plug the actual camcorder into it but I suppose most don't have spare battery packs so that is no big deal. However it would be nice if it somehow left open the option to do both so that I could keep shooting while it charges

(Probably works OK in cameras but not for ReadyBoost) 『I bought three of these to use in my digital cameras and three computers for ReadyBoost. When I initially installed them in the computers, Win 7 Home Premium recognized them and offered to let me use 4GB for ReadyBoost (apparently that's the max Win 7 allows). They worked for a day, then Win 7 quit using them for ReadyBoost and told me that they did not pass the speed test. I reformatted them in NFTS (from FAT32) and retested them but still no luck. I ordered one 4GB Extreme Class 10 SDHC to try. If it works, I may order a couple more for the other PCs and will just use these cards for my cameras.
Update: The 4 GB Extreme Class 10 SDHC works like a champ with ReadyBoost and my HP Laptop.』

(Doesn't work with Rock Band 2 for Wii) 『I bought this item so I could download additional songs for Rock Band 2 for my Wii (the Wii has a really small hard drive so you need external storage if you want more than a couple songs). The Wii itself recognizes that the SD card is present and I can move game saves/channels to it etc.; but then when I start Rock Band I get a message that says something like "The device in the SD card slot cannot be used. SD card mode has been disabled.". I was told this might have something to do with the "HC" part (high content?) and that I should have just gotten a regular SD card.
This is a very specific complaint, I am sure the card would work fine if you just wanted to use it with a camera/computer etc.』
