(Dead out of the Box) 『I received the turntable today, but the unit will not operate. I've tried several outlets and even tested the outlets with other devices to ensure they were working outlets. I also checked the band around the motor to see if that was the issue, but the band was in place. I sent the seller an email and hope that the return process goes smoothly.』
(Nice for the price) 『This turn table for 84.00 subtract 30.00 for amazon discount sounds great software a little tricky but doable』
(Great Product!) 『I was expecting the usual problems with getting a new piece of hardware to work with my laptop/computer. Surprise, surprise this worked right out of the box. I just installed the software that came with the unit plugged in the stereo input and usb port and voila it worked like a charm. I can't recommend this highly enough. There was some minimal assembly of the turntable but nothing too difficult. I got mine at an excellent price and am extremely satisfied.

(I like it, but......) 『The system arrived quickly following the order. Everything was there. Installation was easy. Playing the vinyl record album and recording was also easy.
The problem I have is with the turntable. It is too fast. The music and audio is distorted at 33 1/3 speed. I cannot find a way to tweak the turntable speed to slow it down. I've checked everyhthing, read the manual, searched on line. Cannot find any means of slowing down the turntable.
I still have my old Pioneer PL12-D turntable and in side by side comparison, the difference in playback speed is very noticiable.

I'm no audiophile, but the ripped music sounds better to my ears than listening directly to LPs because of the noise reduction, and all the tonalities are there. This Sony turntable is a real bargain for a little over a hundred bucks.』
(nice unit, works as advertised) 『This unit worked as advertised. I am no computer genius so it took about an hour to figure it out. I was surprised at the amount of memory the saved recordings took up, about 5 times as much space as a CD song recording. I guess that is a compression thing.I went out and bought a larger capacity MP3, but no big deal! I am very satisfied with the final result !! Still couldn't get sound through my computer while recording. I had to hook the output RCA cables to my aux input jack on my boom-box, than I could hear while recording. I am guessing that is a Vista 64 bit problem !??』
(Excellent product) 『This turntable works great. I had a little trouble setting it up, but called the help line at Sony and they finished walking me through it. It's way more sound studio than I need, but I love it for the simpler functions that I need it for. Very impressed with the quality, and I don't impress easily.』
(Swap your records for CDs) 『We have been very pleased with the Sony turntable system. The program that comes with it allows us to clean most of the background hissing and noise out of our old records. Would recommend for the casual user, but for a real techno type, you may want something more expensive.

(Sony PS-LX300USB Turntable) 『My experience with this unit is disappointing thus far. I had confidence in the SONY name from prior experience however when I saw Made in China on the box I had reservations about trying it. My issues thus far are: After recording about 10 albums, the arm does not reset onto the post. Upon its travel down into the rest position, it abruptly moves toward the record and rests midway between the record and the post creating X number of minutes of static if you walk away while recording. However, the software makes it easy to clean off the static but I shouldn't have to do that.
I've taken very good care of my albums over the years, wiping with a Diskwasher D4 system prior to each play, and never touching the groved surface with bare fingers, etc. My old Technics turntable plays them without incident. Upon playback of songs from the SONY unit, I find random skips on some tracks that never had them before, perhaps due to the lack of a counter weight on the arm?
One of my first recorded albums had what sounded like electronic skipping throughout a few tracks however this may because of incorrect software settings.
Admittedly, I'm not an audiophile and need to read up on the nuiances of recording analog to digital and on the capabilities of the software that was supplied. My expectations of plug-n-play may have been too much for the price point.』 『Do you still have some classic vinyl? Would you like to transfer those albums to a PC...Walkman…or even an iPod? Using the USB connection, you can import all that music into your computer and create MP3 files to store on a PC or bring along with you on your favorite Portable player. The PS-LX300USB USB Turntable is also a full functional turntable that can connect to your current system and playback your vinyl albums using the internal amplifier for systems that may not have a “phono” input.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Can't believe how it sounds) 『Don't listen to those who say 'needle is no replaceable', because it exists. It's the atn 3600 l. Very easy to set up, plug, and easy to play. Sounds perfect. The only thing missing is an on off switch, but you can forgive that to the sony guys after you hear your first lp.

(sony turntable) 『easy to use- but was sent to me with a damaged stylus- still waitng for a replacement from icon electronics 』
(Quality control non-existent) 『Garbage. I've owned two of these models. The first lasted maybe four years and then the belt drive mechanism (I guess) went bad and the turntable speed increased slightly but obviously and records started playing too fast, especially at 45 rpm. Costs too much to have a problem like this diagnosed and fixed, so I wrote it off to bad luck (isn't Sony supposed to be reliable quality?) and bought a replacement. This second model hasn't even made it a year. The auto start-stop stylus feature -- which can't be overridden or ignored in favor of manual use -- went bad very quickly and now I can'tplay a record at all. I can't get the stylus to go to the record, lower, and stay put -- it keeps returning to the stop position every time it's activated. And you can't get around this function! Although I may see if I can simply disable the gears and then maybe I can play records by manually placing and returning the stylus. Like we used to do in the bad old days before they put unnecessary and poorly designed bells and whistles on turntables that would break and render the entire device useless!
I am also not pleased that by the second time I bought this model (2008) Sony had made it so the buyer has to assemble the stylus and belt drive mechanism. I've never been expected to put together my own turntable before using it! If you can't figure this out from the badly written instructions, you're out of luck. Caveat emptor!
I will not be buying this model again, or any other Sony turntable for that matter. 』
(First time Vinyl Record player owner and love it!) 『I have been very satisified with the quality of this product. I would recommend to any first time buyers.』
(Junk, do not bother) 『So yourself a favour and spend more. After using an ancient Dual turntable I inherited from my uncle I decided to replace it rather than repair it when it suddenly stopped working. I bought this Sony because I thought it would have to be better, being brand new. It's not. It's the worse turntable I have ever used. Old vinyl which never, ever skipped on my Dual skips on this pile of junk. New vinyl, which I buy still wrapped in cellophane skips also. Sure, some stuff plays, and the sound is decent, but that's not the point. I hate sitting there wondering if the next track will skip and I find myself sighing in relief if it doesn't.』 『You may be asking, M-^SWhat's a LP turntable doing here in this sectionM-^T? (Ion USB Turntable) 『Excellent product for saving your music to MP3 format from your old records (33'2, 45's,&even 78's). I Luv It! You just can't beat it! I Highly Recommended it! And the price is right! Brand New! Shipping was very reasonable.』
(USB turntable) 『I finally found a way to save all my old, and precious albums. There were a few kinks with iTunes, but once those were ironed out, the turntable worked fine. I've recorded 10 of my albums to CD already, and plan to do them all eventually. This was very reasonable and a great value for the investment.』
(Extremely Easy To Use) 『It took me about 15 minutes to set everything up and record my first track. After recording the first track, it took me about 3-5 minutes to "edit" the sound quality using Audacity. One of the nice features is the ability to use your own needles. The needle provided is not bad at all, though, I wanted to ensure as best sound quality as possible. My biggest gripe would probably be the editing software provided. Audacity is a free program, while good, it would have been nice to have something a little more substantial. All in all, a great product, extremely easy to use (as long as you can click a big red record button, lol), and for a hundred bucks, I don't think there's a better deal.』

Requiring no special drivers, the turntable comes with Audacity, a recording application that works with both PCs and Macs, as well a trial version of Bias Soundsoap 2 to clean and restore vinyl recordings. As an alternative, the turntable also works with any other software that supports USB audio input sound cards. Once connected, the turntable transfers both 33-1/3 rpm albums and 45 rpm singles to digital formats in mere minutes.
The iTTUSB also offers a few hardware extras, such as an adjustable anti-skating control for increased stereo balancing, an adjustable pitch control (+/- 8 percent), and support for high-speed vinyl recording. And thanks to the line-level outputs, you can connect to any home stereo with CD or auxiliary (AUX) inputs--no phono inputs required. The turntable comes with a cartridge and stylus, 45 adapter, and USB cable and is compatible with PCs running Windows 98, 2000, or XP and Macs running OS 9 or greater. All computers must also have at least one available USB 1.1 port.

Shure
Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (The affordable cartridge that could.) 『First off I am not or have ever been a Shure fan. The only time I ever bought anything with the "Shure" name was when I was broke after spending my money on other worthwhile audio equipment. Like after buying my first Thorens turntable and I had no money left for a cartridge. I would pick up a Shure to past the time until I could get 'mo money for something decent. In the case of the Thorens it was an Audio-Technica AT-125LC that cost more than half its price. The Thorens that is. I was in my early 20's and in heaven. A Thorens, the Audio-Technica, Polk Monitor 7's and a splendid Fisher 500-C tube receiver/amp. I get chills just thinking about it. And my girlfriend (future wife)wasn't bad either. Through the years I went through Stanton, the 681, Grado and a few more AT cartridges. I had recently purchased the AT-PL120 direct drive table and while the OEM cartridge was OK, and far better than any Shure I'd ever heard (I've never heard the V-15), I know I had to upgrade. My first thought was the AT-440ML but it was a little pricey. I went through my old issues of Stereophile and even Stereo Review and went on the net looking for something. The Shure M97xE got alot of good reviews and was even favorable compared to the 440ML. That caught my attention but I was't going to pay over a hundred dollars for a Shure. No way! But then I saw it on sale at J&R in NYC for about $60. I gave it a shot. Ladies, this cartridge is not bad. I hooked it up to my Music Hall phono preamp and to my Yamaha RX-V663 AV receiver ("I" before "E" except after "C"??)and while it took a while for it to burn, when it did, it started to open up and took me totally by surprise. The soundstage is not as wide as I would like, though it is relatively deep. And while the highs may not snap, crackle or pop, overall this is pretty nice. The bass is okay as is the mid-range and while individually no particular aspect stands out overall I'll hold up my purchase of the 440ML and see what else this baby will do after I brake it in some more. Highly recommended as an entry level audiophile type quality cartridge. If you've heard or have a Denon DL-160 a Blue Point Sumiko or the aforementioned AT-440MLa you might find the Shure a little drab and boring but for the money... If I knew then what I know now, I would have happily paid double the price. It's that good.』
(Over packaging) 『Good sound, good design(I love the stabilizer brush), but seriously over-packaged. The case is made out a 1/8 in. matte finish aluminum box, with aluminum hinged cover with "SHURE" stamped on it. I mean, really? a $15 box for a $60 product?』
(Gold for my money) 『Not much more that I can add than whats already been stated here. Out performs my previous Audio Technica cart by far. The difference was magical, and the price difference small. I love it!!!』
(Just buy it) 『I used to be an audiophile but I am ok now. I have been using my trusty Technics for some time again and a friend said, "Why do you have old technology for a cartridge?" Yes, you can pay more for a cartridge, but why would you? This 97 rocks. It tracks great and sounds better. Just buy it.』
(Audiophile Quality at fraction of cost) 『This is being used on a Technics 1200 in a sterio system with a 180 W/Ch ATI Amp, Marchand X-Over, NAD pre-amp and Dynaudio Speakers.
I previously had purchased the Audio Technica ATLP120 from Amazon and although a nice player for the money ($150) it lacked the sturdy and rugged construction I was looking for.
To be honest, however, the Audio Technica comes with a very nice cartridge and the difference in sound quality is negligible.
Bottom line. If you want a top quality audiophile grade cartridge for under $ 75 get this ! 』 『Standard mount / Elliptical stylus / Low mass / Tracking force: 0.75 to 1.5 grams / 20Hz - 22kHz frequency response』

Crosley
Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Better than anticipated) 『By no means am I an audiophile or a turntable expert, but I do love the warm sound of vinyl. This player (as many have stated), for the price, is great. I was initially hesitant to purchase a Crosley and thought I'd need to dish out $$$$ just to play my albums with a sound I'd love. Nope - this machine is amazing! It's obviously a cheaper machine, so you can't really abuse it, but it gets the job done. It totally impressed my fifty something mom and sixty something year old dad.』
(Great nostalgic record player!) 『This phonograph player does just what I intended it to do - play old LPs from the fifties and sixties! It produces a great sound that is true to the era and so much fun to hear again! The nostalia factor throws this product over the top! I highly recommend it for those who want to take a step back in time!』
(nice record player) 『Overall nice record player for price no problems so far, love it, can't stop listenin to those vinyls good description』
(It just stopped working.) 『I had it for 4 years, used it every once in awhile...tried to use it today and it wouldn't work. If I had lugged it around a lot, perhaps I could understand why it wouldn't work -- but it literally hasn't been moved in 4 years!』
(Excellent Trip Down Memory Lane) 『I remember when my dad bought his first CD player in the mid-80s, he told me that he thought the music he grew up with (Beatles, Stones, etc.) would never be released on CD. That's why he kept his old turntable and record collection around. Of course, as we all know now, it was rereleased digitally, so he re-bought all his old albums on CD.
Consequently, when I first started getting seriously into music, he had no more use for his old vinyl LPs, so he gave them to me. And I subsequently bought this turntable to play them on. The sound is decent (though not quite up to the standards of my previous record player), and I haven't had one record chewed through yet. The player is very simple to operate -- no set up, just plug and play. Some say it looks cheap, but I like its nostalgic look and feel. Some say it plays at a slightly different speed than it should, but this is barely (if at all) noticeable to me. So I think the bottom line is, I love this player.
This is my second Crosley turntable. My first was five years old when it wore out. I haven't had this current one for very long, but if my first experience is any indicator, I expect this one to last as well. With a collection of over 200 LPs and 70+ 45s, it is important to me to find a good, long-lasting turntable to enjoy my vinyl. I think this player serves its purpose as being a reliable and dependable way to relive the good old days. I will always trust the Crosley name with my memories.』 『The optimum use of a disc record of constant rotational speed occurs when the innermost recorded diameter is half of the outermost recorded diameter. But why worry yourself with the details. The Crosley Portable Suitcase Style Turntable plays all three speeds, 33 1/3, 45 and 75 RPM records. By the late fifties, stereo records reached a peak in the marketplace as hi-fi sound reproduction attained its largest audience to date. The portable turntable was introduced in the late 1950's and provided music lovers with a sense of independence, allowing them to easily cart their record player from one locale to another. The popularity of this unit was due in no small part to its portability, but also to its suitcase-styled finishing touches that became a Crosley hallmark. So whether you choose Ella Fitzgerald or Elvis, celebrate your vinyl in portable style.』 『Enjoy a whole new level of LP independence with the Crosley CR49 Traveler. Inspired by the original portable turntables of the late 1950s, the belt-drive unit is versatile enough to play all three common speeds--33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm--so you're not restricted to any one part of your vintage record collection. In addition, the table's tan-colored suitcase housing includes a pair of built-in, full-range stereo speakers, in effect turning the Traveler into a LP boombox (though without the battery power). The effortless portability makes this a great turntable for traveling, visiting friends, or simply enjoying albums in the garage, basement, or other secondary rooms. The case is stylish, too, with a vintage appearance that beautifully complements traditional furnishings. The Traveler even comes with an adjustable tone control, adding to its versatility, along with a diamond-stylus needle. So whether your tastes run to classic jazz or modern rock, savor your vinyl in style with the Crosley Traveler.
The Traveler measures 17 by 7 by 11 inches (W x H x D) and is backed by a 90-day warranty.

The unit worked smoothly and without any problems. The sound quality of the CD's was amazing, it was so much better than the tapes it was recorded from. The most important thing is to make sure you buy the correct CD's. Read the manual before you shop for them.
If you have records or cassette and want them on CD this is the product to buy.』
(Good results) 『Machine works well and is easy to operate. Instructions must be read carefully. When recording your Told to press record, however you must also press play to actually start the recording process. Also, the turntable produces poor quality. You get 100% better quality by pluggung in a remote turntable of good quality into the Aux jacks in the rear of the machine. I'm recording 33 rpm's that are over 50 years old and except for some scratches on some of the records, the reproduced quality of sound is excellent.』
(Invaluable) 『Having hoarded about 700 LPs and cassettes for decades, it's finally time to archive them and sell them on Amazon. My mom and stepdad bought a cheaper unit and they were less than thrilled with it, though it works for them; I'm more finicky with my music. TEAC to the rescue!
I have had no serious problems with this unit yet, having made 7 CDs from Abba thru Bachman-Turner Overdrive. My only real issue is that the turntable is pretty lightweight for the money; I miss the professional-grade heavy-duty record players of the past, but I guess I could lay out another few hundred for that.
Still, the recorder works quite well for my purpose, if you don't rely on the autotrack feature to start new tracks on your CDs; so far that's only worked well with a chrome Abba cassette. (LP surface noise tends to fool the sensor into thinking there's still something playing that shouldn't be broken into two tracks.)』
(Great Product!) 『The TEAC Turntable cassette CD recorder is awesome in it's capablility and usefulness. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to save the music on their old Lps, 45s and standards.

(Good For The Moeny) 『It is nice to be able to get the old LP's to CD. The only real problem I'm having is to get the auto-track to work. I end up with several songs on 1 track. It is really simple to operate. Maybe I need to try the manual mode. Although it is not so bad having many songs on one track if you want to record the whole LP anyway. Maybe I just need to play with it some more.
Please Note: I've tried to change the rating from 2 to 4 stars but I am not able to edit the rating for some reason. If the Amazon staff can figure that out, they can change it.』 『The Teac GF-450K7 is a one-piece tabletop stereo with a retro design. Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Love it!) 『This is a fantastic little turntable. My 25+ year old stereo finally bit the dust beyond repair; space is limited so I was looking for an inexpensive turntable to replace it. After reading the reviews, I decided to give this one a go. It's even better than I'd hoped for. It's smaller than I'd thought it would be, but opening it up to play LPs was no problem; the cover even went back on with minimal drama. For such little speakers, I wasn't expecting the sound to be as strong and clear. I've had no trouble with it after almost two months of constant use. I couldn't be happier.』
(Old sounds again...) 『Very pleased with this product. It is well made and we enjoy listening to our collection of records both, 33 and 45's that we have kept over the years. It is amazing how much we missed listening to these records.』

I only buy the highest quality and this definitely qualified.』

(Great little player!) 『You have to give Crosley credit for coming up with these cool gadgets for all of us who love vinyl. It doesn't come with a dust cover which is the only downside but otherwise it is a wonderful piece, for a great price, and I'm very happy to welcome it into my audio system.』
(Easy to convert LPs to MP3s) 『I am converting my old LPs to MP3 and found this product very easy to use! Start the software, start the recording, start the turntable, and the rest just happens!
The turntable itself is great. The start/stop button is almost instantaneous, and the anti-skate control helped with some scratched records I have.
Couple of notes on the software, though. You have to listen for the end of each track to click the "next track" button, so don't get distracted. It automatically imports the song into iTunes, but I use Windows Media Player, so I had to copy the songs into the WMP library. It automatically searches for the track title online with GraceNotes, even though it would be faster if I just typed them in myself. So the automation is easy, but you have to follow each of their steps even if you don't want to.
The MP3s come out sounding just like what I hear when playing the record, so you get what you hear! The Audacity software can help with the pops&clicks, but it's a time-consuming process.
All in all, great product! I get to listen to my old LPs on my MP3 player, which is what I wanted. 』
(TTUSB Table Good But Could Be Better) 『First off, out of the box I had trouble finding the cheap drive belt. They wrap it around the underside of the turntable. There is no cue lever so if you have nervous fingers like me you'll hear zip! However the machine comes with two large start stop buttons to stop the record while you enter track info into your ipod.
Here is the trick. You have to go into your computer and reset the hardware and sound settings to use the thing. Then you have to reset the computer back to its original settings when you are through. In my case restarting the computer resets everything if I get in trouble.
The good part is it goes right to the ipod screen and makes a file of what you have recorded, saving your precious records.
There is no dust cover so dont throw away the plastic bag it comes in. The tone arm clip has come loose on my table twice and I found the needle on the cheap platter cover so I guess that is not of the best quality. Order a spare needle.
However I purchased the blaze audio (blaze.com) lp transfer software a year ao. I had all sorts of problems with that. Recordings were too loud, and the auto track feature would record pops and clicks as part of a song so you would get a whole side instead of individual cuts. However that works differently and the sound was better. You plug your turntable into a preamp. From the preamp there is a little round box that a USB cable comes out of. This plugs into your computer.
Whatever way you choose it requires time to learn the procedure and more time to convert the records.

(Records to cd with ease) 『A great buy for the money. Unless the record is in awful condition, a lot of sound problem issues are dealt with well in the mp3 process. Gracenote, which comes with the product download, does a good job of locating old albums and tracks. The program download was easy, and I will start on my old cassettes soon on a similar device.』
(So far so good) 『I have had the product for a month and no problems so far. The assembly instructions are a bit of a pain. Assembling the arm is easy enough, but getting it balanced takes some effort - about 10 minutes. The rest assembles in minutes and can be done by a five year old. (Decent basic phonograph needle- nothing special) 『This is a decent, servicable needle, and the only such cartridge available, as far as I have been able to find.
It would be nice to have the option of a better product, but for the price this is serviceable at my level of audio sophistication. Audiophiles will opt for a system that includes better reproduction options, but the Teac unit that I use is basic and simple, and no such option exists.』 『Turntable Needles, 2 Pk』
