(Best buds I've used!) 『I usually stay away from buds because they are always uncomfortable or they just fall right out. These have an odd shape that sorta "pops" into your ear and doesn't come out, it comes with other sizes but I stuck with the small ones. The sound quality sounds extremely clear and "bassy" paired with my Cowon S9 and even got complemented on the awesome bass it produced. Another thing I like is that they are almost noise canceling I guess that because of the rubber material part you put in your ear. Anyway these are the best especially for the price, I have no complaints and neither should you!』

The clanking spoons, annoying people talking on the phone, etc. cannot be heard. I cannot even hear the clickety clack of my own keyboard when typing. The first pair lasted about two years and had a softer silicone type cable that stretched and got caught on anything when it rubbed against, well, anything, and finally lead to their demise (the wire broke). I was a little surprised to find it had a dial for the volume control and also a dial for radio tuning. A bit old school for the digital world we live in today. You can't just tune it to 102.7 or whatever station number you are looking for. You have to move the dial a little this way or that to find the station you want. It does have an input to hook up your mp3 but again the sound quality is still horrible. I expected more from Sony.』
(CD Function Died After Six Months) 『This radio/CD player would have been great except for one thing: the CD player quit after six months. After that, you could not choose to be awakened by music on a CD. When a product fails like that, it just isn't worth your trouble to send it off for repairs. These products need to work the first time and last for at least a few years. Six months is too short a time for a major feature to go out. Definitely not recommended.』

The squidgy silicon caps are incredibly comfortable for most of us, but it is quite understandable that they simply don't work for others. Luckily, they're cheap enough (for most of us) that it is worthwhile to purchase a pair to check out the comfort and fit.
But what I was especially pleased by was the packaging.
Earbuds wear out--at least for me, they do. I sometimes put 'em in a pocket and that wears out the connection right next to the plug, so I'm happy if they last six months. I just purchased to inexpensive pairs of earbuds here, these JBuds Hi-Fi Noise-Reducing Ear Buds (Black) and some Sony MDR-ED21LP Fontopia In-The-Ear Headphones.
The JBuds came in a small zip-lock bag with a single piece of folded paperboard packaging. (Their text: "JLab believes in being eco-friendly. This minimalistic packaging reduces waste.") Small enough that Amazon shipped it in a bubble-wrap envelope.
The Sonys, in contrast, are in a hard blister pack--not quite as nasty as the impossible-to-cut plastic, but of the same ilk. The plastic is glued to paperboard backing, so the latter cannot be cleanly separated for recycling. Inside is more packaging paperboard and some inserts, as well as an astonishingly superfluous vinyl drawstring carrying case for the earbuds. I've already got two or three of those sitting in a drawer somewhere; I've never met anyone that takes off their earbuds and stows them in one of these things. I'd be quite interested to hear if anyone does--if you do, add a comment to my review. But I'm pretty sure that Sony is just being mindlessly wasteful, which isn't much of a surprise.
But what really galled was that Sony's packaging was big enough that Amazon couldn't use a bubblepack envelope, and so shipped in a box, which was almost as big as a shoebox and mostly wasted space full of packaging material. Why Amazon couldn't combine the two packages I don't know, but Sony is still on the hook here for their sins.
It helps that the JBuds are one-third cheaper than the Sonys, but both seem to change prices intermittently.
So: if you're just grabbing a pair of work-a-day earbuds and all else turned out to be pretty much equal, go for the JBuds. The company is more sensible about their packaging and deserves the business.』

In regards to getting it to work. At first it didn't work for me. I plugged it in, installed the software and it said something about not finding a photoviewer. I thought, what the frick it is connected. So I figured like everyone else it doesn't work. But after it charged and I plugged it back in I noticed the little menu on the photoviewer itself with two options: Charge and Update. It needs to be in USB Update mode. Then XP finds it and it works like a charm! I think when you first get it it goes right into charge mode. The little manual says it needs to be charged first.
It is a drag that you can't just drag photos onto it (sorry about that) and you have to use their software. But there is good reason. The viewer display size is different from what my camera takes so the entire picture does not show in the photoviewer display. There are editing features (limited) in the software so that you can select part of the picture that will fit in the photoviewer display. There is also a rotate feature.
For the limited software and sizing issue I rate it a 2, for its size and what it does for $11 I give a 5. So overall I think it is worth 4 stars.

For me, this most often translates to "when I'm driving". And if I'm going to be using it in the car, it has to be VERY simple so that operating it doesn't take my eyes or my mind off the road. The set up on this recorder really fits the bill for me. I never have to fumble around to find the record button; in fact, after using it in the house for half an hour the day I received it, I never even have to look. I just reach over, press, talk. Yay!
I use this recorder most often on my way to work to help me organize ideas for meetings, to remind myself of appointments I want to set up or phone calls I need to make. If I'm in the midst of a creative project at the office, I've also used the recorder to "talk out" specific wording for a brochure or ad. If it's a big project, I might even lay the recorder next to me in bed, in case I have a Really Good Idea just before I fall asleep. (Oh, come on! You know that's when the most marvelous concept or the perfect word or phrase comes to you!) :-)
To sum up: Easy to learn, simple to use; good price; recommended.

However, after using this device for only 2 short months, I played the tape back one day only to find that the sound was completely garbled and distorted. We evaluated our HP-NC1s as a utility crew used jackhammers on the street outside our listening room. Because you can bypass the Noisebuster technology with a switch, it was easy for us to compare the noise-canceled signal to the standard sound. While Noisebuster didn't entirely eliminate the jackhammer's rat-a-tat-tat, it did significantly reduce the sound so that we could listen to quiet music, such as soft jazz and classical.
As for the sound of the headphones themselves, the midrange is clear, but the HP-NC1s are a little sluggish overall, with no deep bass or extended high frequencies. In fairness to the HP-NC1s, noise-canceling headsets often sound restricted in the frequency extremes, as it can be tricky for the noise-canceling devices to differentiate between noise and music. The fit of these headphones is also a little snug for our taste, but you can loosen them a bit by gently bending the headset.
We have heard comparably priced, non-noise-canceling headphones that sound better than Maxell's HP-NC1. However, better sound doesn't matter much if you're having a hard time hearing the music in a noisy environment. At this price, these headphones are a bargain.

When i got this armband for my 120gb, 6gb ipod, it was difficult to slip the ipod in and you couldn't operate the wheel through the plastic. i literally "put a sock in it." i took an adult tube sock, rolled it as tight as i could, put it in the slot where the ipod normally goes in the armband, i really had to get that sock it in there, it took a lot of smooshing, but i got it in, let sit for a couple of days, i did 2 days. i pulled the sock out, put the ipod in, and it slipped in much easier, it's still tight enough so it won't fall out, and i can operate the wheel through the plastic. if you are patient, you too, with the help of a sock, can make this armband a bit more user friendly!!!』
