I did not show her how to use the white board, due to the smart advise of another review about accidently getting marker on the carpet by turning it over to use the other side without completely cleaning the white board. The chalkboard side needs a wet towel in order for it to get cleaned. The dry erase board will not come completely clean and we have only used the pen provided.
