(Zhu Zhu pet is fun) 『I got this for my niece. She loves it and so does her dog. It really is very cute and pretty durable since the dog often runs away with it. It looks like it is going to be this years "hot toy" for Christmas. If you can find one, I would recommend grabbing it up.』

(Cute, but get boaring after a day or two) 『I was lucky enough to find these at Walmart right before my 2 year olds birthday. I got two hamsters and the little hamster house and the wheel. They are cute and all three of my kids, ages 7 to 2, played with them non-stop for about two days after that they sat on the bedroom floor, totally forgotten. There is nothing really special about them. They just do the same thing and make the same sounds over and over. The wheel never really worked well. They would run into it and get stuck and after adjusting them they would run somewhat for a second before getting stuck again. These toys are fine for eight dollars but don't spend any more than that they are not worth it. Also, be warned, if you have a child like my two year old daughter, who likes to hug all her toys, this will get caught in her hair. This happened to my daughter, it was pretty easy to get out becasue I was next to her when it happened and turned it off quickly but it could have been bad. After that whenever I would ask her if she wanted to play with it she would say "No, he bite me!"』

The hamster is cute, and she still plays with that (on the hard wood floor - doesn't run well at all on carpet). However, I also bought her this funhouse along with the garage (worst piece) and the wheel. When you put it all together (which is not easy), the toy is huge. I don't really have the room for a big piece of plastic toy of this size, but I was willing to get it for her because it is all she wanted. Big mistake, you can't move it once you get it together or it falls to pieces. Sometimes the pieces just come apart. The garage never worked, and the wheel ramp never fit together correctly. This toy is such a waste of money. Holiday shoppers are getting scammed this year! Thank goodness I did not pay these ridiculous prices for this toy. I bought mine at Toys 'r us before I even knew it was going to be a big deal. To sum up - the hamsters are cute, but the rest is big, plastic junk that has now been under my daughters bed since the day after she got it (5 weeks ago) and has not seen daylight again.』

She had a hamster (not Zhu Zhu) toy that she just loved, but it only rolled around in it's ball, and this seemed like a big step up from that. The problem came when we went to find and buy it. No one had any! They were listed on several big toy carriers websites, but were always sold out. I finally found it, alot more expensive than the other websites, but alas, availible. Obviously raising the price since they are so popular. But, I only wish now I had bought more hamsters, and more of the sets. Because apparently they are the toy of 2009, and you can't find them anywhere!! This would be the perfect gift for Christmas, and even though they cost a bit more, the cost was equal to the enjoyment and totally worth paying. I even had a good time with it. All the different noises it makes depending on where it is in the "maze" is so neat. Sometimes it gets a little "stuck" so you have to move it a bit, but I think if you have more of the pieces it would work better. I just think the different play sets you can buy should've had the hamster included. Some of them are pretty expensive for what you get. But again, my daughter loves it. We keep the iphone handy so we can look up words on [...] when we get in a spot where nothing seems to work. Most of the time that doesn't happen, unless my teenage son picks a word.. like aged. Anyway.. we love this game and highly recommend it! We are going to see if it works to put two decks together and double the people (10) at Christmas time. Will be interesting to see how crazy it gets with my grown daughters and my son-in-laws. As far as educational value, I've even learned words. The set is composed of the figures, as well as the Gate Card and Special Ability Card. My daughter has numerous Battle Packs, traps, Bakugan Deka, the arena, the launcher and Bakugan Gauntlet (in addition to the Bakugan DS game).
The toy comes in the box as separate figures and step by step instructions are necessary to aassemble the Maximus Dragonoid. Assembly took about 20 minutes, the first time. Instructions are only graphical drawings and not too easy to follow. Once assembled the figure is not as big as I had anticipated on the packaging. Personally, i was not impressed but my 9 year loves it. She likes the ability to use the traps when playing the Bakugan with her other Bakugan Figures.
As for an action set, I question the durability with non-game play (ie as standalone action figures) - given the spring loaded mechanisms and delicate small parts. I do not recommend this for households with children under 5 given the high choking potential. This set is more ideal for kids aged 7 and above - depending upon how gingerly or harsh your child plays with his or her toys.
For the price, this toy is a touch overpriced and I recommend waiting for a price drop by at least $5 to $10. However, the the unique nature of a modular toy, this set is amazing. I recommend this for the Ultimate Bakugan Fan and not for the casual gamer.
Despite its limitations, it is still a very good toy.』

Get In On the Bakugan Craze For those who are unfamiliar, Bakugan is an inventive strategy game based on the popular anime TV series, "Bakugan: Battle Brawlers." It pits a variety of "Bakugan warriors" against each other for points. The Bakugan themselves are magnetic, spring-loaded marbles that -- when exposed to a metal "gate card" -- burst open to reveal a fearsome warrior.
The mission of the Bakugan strategy game is to capture the opponent's metal gate cards. This is achieved by rolling your Bakugan warriors onto these cards and doing battle with defending enemy Bakugan. The game involves a surprising amount of strategy, and features various tactical cards and trap pieces that help protect your Bakugan warriors.
Room for the Imagination This game combines skill (aiming your Bakugan) with strategy (placement of the cards). Players also enjoy the way the warriors pop open on the magnetic cards -- although sometimes they do it even when they don't land on the cards. These pieces can be combined together to form the massive Maxus Dragonoid monster. The transformation process is a bit complicated, but the set includes clear instructions that make assembly easy.
