(My children have had nightmares...)

『Okay, so I bought this last year assuming my kids would really enjoy it. "Frankie" started to freak them out after a couple of days. Two of my girls 6&9 had nightmares! Even in the spring they wanted to know if Frankie was in the attic. lol I heard similar stories from a friend. Good luck.』

『This is our daughter's very first Christmas and her elf will indeed appear on Thanksgiving Day. Since she is too young to understand we are going to take pictures each morning of her elf in a new location so we can make a book to show her over the years!

The book tells all about the elves and how important they are to Santa. Your child's elf arrives on Thanksgiving and stays until Christmas Eve (when Santa arrives and the elf goes home with him). Each night the elf flies back to Santa to report on your child's behavior ~ the good and the not so good ;) By the time the children awake the next morning the elf has returned! They will have a blast finding their elf in a new location each morning.

There is only one rule: Children cannot touch the elf or it may lose its magic. The elf also can't talk, but rest assured - he (or she!) hears every word. Their elf not only informs Santa of their behavior, but their hopes and dreams too.

I also love the fact that the book has a Christian element to it as it refers to children saying their prayers each night. Don't wait! Start this Christmas tradition this year and start making memories that will last a lifetime.』

Every morning when he gets up, the first thing he wants to do is see where our elf has moved to. Very cute book and overall idea. 『Movie was a huge disappointment...as are apparently the toys. Where's the swinging nut sack that played such a crucial role in the movie? And I'm sure Optimus Prime's talking figure uses as many profanities as he did in the movie. Why does Hollywood have to ruin every good childhood memory I have and create bad ones for our children!?...(grumble grumble, stupid Michaely Bay)』

『Wow. those are some cool construction vehicles. But wait, the vehicles don't transform individually? and that big ugly thing is Devastator? Are you for real, Michael Bay? If Michael Bay hates the original story and characters so much, maybe he should just walk away and let someone else do it.

Please do yourself a favor. Buy Transformers:The Movie from 1985. watch it. then go on ebay and pick up the real Devastator. The Transformers - The Movie (20th Anniversary Special Edition)』

『I bought this as a birthday present for my nephew (10 years old), and he absolutely loves Devastator. I can't blame him, either. Everything about Devastor is solid: Construction of the toys, the sound samples (in robot mode), the posibility and playablity of each vehicle, both on their own and when combined together. There's enough room in the mouth (which will open wide when pushing/holding down a button) to stuff smaller autobots in there to meet their maker.

The only knocks against Devastator are the lack of paint details and Mixmaster - the cement mixer. In truck mode, he does not stop making noise. There's some sort of motion/light/vibration sensor on him. A simple touch will send him into a frenzy of noises that gets old fast. Be prepared to set aside about 15 minutes or so removing Devastator from all of those dreaded twist-ties, also.

Overall, a bang up job by Hasbro. Just about anyone with an interest in Transformers will love this monstrosity!』

You can press a button on the toys' chest and it talks, but the one I bought has a tendency to talk when ever it feels like it! (which is hilarious!!!) The price was average but I'd pay it again!

(For the Ultimate Bakugan Fan)

『This is a 7piece toy comprised of 6 Bakugan Traps and 1 Bakugan Figure. The set is composed of the figures, as well as the Gate Card and Special Ability Card. My daughter has numerous Battle Packs, traps, Bakugan Deka, the arena, the launcher and Bakugan Gauntlet (in addition to the Bakugan DS game).

The toy comes in the box as separate figures and step by step instructions are necessary to aassemble the Maximus Dragonoid. Assembly took about 20 minutes, the first time. Instructions are only graphical drawings and not too easy to follow. Once assembled the figure is not as big as I had anticipated on the packaging. Personally, i was not impressed but my 9 year loves it. She likes the ability to use the traps when playing the Bakugan with her other Bakugan Figures.

As for an action set, I question the durability with non-game play (ie as standalone action figures) - given the spring loaded mechanisms and delicate small parts. I do not recommend this for households with children under 5 given the high choking potential. This set is more ideal for kids aged 7 and above - depending upon how gingerly or harsh your child plays with his or her toys.

For the price, this toy is a touch overpriced and I recommend waiting for a price drop by at least $5 to $10. However, the the unique nature of a modular toy, this set is amazing. I recommend this for the Ultimate Bakugan Fan and not for the casual gamer.

Despite its limitations, it is still a very good toy.』

『You can play w/ the individual characters but the main 'Maxus Dragonoid' cannot be played with since doesn't go together worth a hoot which is the reason my son wanted the toy. Pieces don't fit quite right. So not worth the money. He is 8. We had fun trying to but it together but wish it was worth the effort.』

『hi my son recieved this on his birthday. On his way to the party one of the springs came out of one of the traps. This was an important part on the whole Maxus Draganoid. Since he threw away the inside packaging I can't return it. We payed $50 for about 10 minutes of gentle play and you can't buy the one we need at the store. So I don't know if you have any solutions for me or If I can even buy the one that broke to once again complete the set.

Get In On the Bakugan Craze
For those who are unfamiliar, Bakugan is an inventive strategy game based on the popular anime TV series, "Bakugan: Battle Brawlers." It pits a variety of "Bakugan warriors" against each other for points. The Bakugan themselves are magnetic, spring-loaded marbles that -- when exposed to a metal "gate card" -- burst open to reveal a fearsome warrior.

The mission of the Bakugan strategy game is to capture the opponent's metal gate cards. This is achieved by rolling your Bakugan warriors onto these cards and doing battle with defending enemy Bakugan. The game involves a surprising amount of strategy, and features various tactical cards and trap pieces that help protect your Bakugan warriors.

Room for the Imagination
This game combines skill (aiming your Bakugan) with strategy (placement of the cards). Players also enjoy the way the warriors pop open on the magnetic cards -- although sometimes they do it even when they don't land on the cards. Players unfamiliar with the TV show, may feel a little lost at first in the world of Bakugan. But with the help of the colorful, animated Bakugan Web site, they will get what the game is about and how to play.

Even without the official strategy game, Bakugan toys are enjoyable and can be played with like regular action figures. Fans of the show will like role-playing as one of the various characters, such as the fiery 12-year-old leader "Dan" or the wise "Marucho."

Maxus Dragonoid Expands Your Bakugan Collection
This particular set contains one Bakugan warrior (named Neo Dragonoid) and six Bakugan traps (Grakas Hound, Dark Hound, Grafias, Brachium, Spitarm and SpyderFencer.) These pieces can be combined together to form the massive Maxus Dragonoid monster. The transformation process is a bit complicated, but the set includes clear instructions that make assembly easy. The assembled Dragonoid is a unique toy, although a bit unwieldy -- if not positioned correctly, he will easily fall down.

Each of the seven Bakugan that compose Dragonoid can be used individually in the strategy game. Avid players will be happy to know that this set also includes a special ability card, which will come in handy when you're devising a strategy to topple your enemy. Just keep in mind that, in order to play Bakugan properly, you'll need several other Bakugan marbles/cards that are not included in this package. Kids who are new to Bakugan might be better off with one of the various starter packs.

Your Own Transformers Experience
Staying true to the movie, Devastator is massive, standing well over a foot in height and dwarfing most other Transformers toys. He is a solid, heavy, and well-built toy. Pulling a lever on his chest causes his mouth (called the Vortex Grinder) to light up with bright, neon-green LED lights. The lever also triggers battle sounds and quotes taken straight from the movie.

Devastator isn't the most flexible toy around. Because of his size, he can be a bit cumbersome to play with. However, his elbows and knees are articulated, which makes him easier to position and balance. He also has realistic details, which gives him value as a collector's replica.

Devastator consists of six smaller construction vehicles: the Constructicons. These detailed vehicles are painted in earthy colors suited for their rough construction jobs. Together, the Constructicons form a complete construction team. There is a bulldozer, a dump truck, an excavator, a scoop loader, a mixer and a crawler crane. They prove to be very maneuverable on a hard surface, able to make hairpin turns easily. However, it should be noted that, unlike their film counterparts, these vehicles do not transform into robots individually.

An Enjoyable, Challenging Assembly
Devastator might be one of the biggest transformers around, but it's also one of the most difficult to put together. Parents should be aware that the Devastator requires some degree of finesse to assemble -- and in some cases, strength. Some of the snapping parts are especially tricky to connect together, and prove difficult to pry apart. The toy is labeled as a Level 4 conversion, so younger children will have difficulty converting the toy by themselves. It took our tester (an experienced Transformer player) nearly 15 minutes to figure everything out. Still, putting the toy together should provide a constructive challenge for older kids.
