I was not aware(being older and not so smart as the young folks) that it would come from someone else if I ordered it. So knowing that my granddaughter would love the toy I placed the order. Much to my surprise the day or two before it came in, Walmart got a shipment and I was able to get it there. I left the order alone so she got two. Very much to my surprise the one I ordered cost about 4 or 5 times what the one at Walmart cost. I feel that I was taken advantage of and I probable will not order from this place again. I think it is terrible that they would put the price up as high as they did. Guess I learned a good lesson that I should do my research before I jump in and buy the first thing I see. Hope they enjoy my money that I shelled out for this toy. I think they should be ashamed for the price gouging they did.』

(DON"T BUY THIS! It's cool. For a while. But then...) 『The good part is this is a cool night-light type gadget and my son has really enjoyed it that way. The problems with it are two-fold. The first is the battery issue, which many people have commented on. I eventually got rechargeables. The second is durability. For something that just hangs on the dang wall, the fact that it conks out like it does is ridiculous. Our first moon lasted a few months before the lights just quit working altogether. I took it apart and tried to repair it myself, but there were no obvious bad connections. Oh well, these things happen, so I replaced it. Well, the replacement lasted a lot longer, but it has just stopped working as well. This is INSANE! It's a set of lights with an electronic timer! It hangs on the wall! It doesn't get tossed around or dropped on the floor or carried in your pocket! Why should it EVER break? Or the remote. I have a remote keyless entry on my car, and that gets lugged around in my pocket, tossed on the table, etc., and it works fine after (at this point) seven years. I can only presume that the guts of this device are some of the shoddiest and cheapest imaginable. It's too bad, because its a neat idea, and as I said my son likes it a lot. But I'm not throwing more money away at this point.』

(Awesome Product!) 『PLAIN AND SIMPLE Ok lets leave my personal opinion out of this for a minute and just base this on facts. This moon performs as stated. It is textured and wit the craters and looks realistic enough (close enough for my 14yr old and under children, lets be honest how REAL do you really expect it to be!). No where on the box does it call it a TOY moon. Anybody can look at it and read the decription you would know your not going to just place this in your childs hands to 'play' with. Also YES in some settings it goes through some batteries faster, SO either only use it occasionally or buy rechargables if that bothers you. Which is more environmentally sound anyways, to the people that say this is a disposable product based on that one fact. ALSO YES the remtote is small and will be easily lost hence the fact this products age limit is 6 and up. If you think the remote will get lost by your child/ren YOU the adult should stay in possession of it. OR you can do what we have done with both of ours and get little strips of velcro and that takes care of that.
Now for my opinion. I LOVE this product we have one in the boys room 4&8, its been there for about 2 years and NO PROBLEMS. Yes we use it almost every night and take it down just to recharge the batteries, which takes just a few hours during the day, for a few months worth of use. We just recently saw this same exact product on clearance at Target ($12.98) and immediatly grabbed it for my daughters room 7&14. They used to beg to sleep in the boys room just to see the moon. They would 'camp out' in there and have had some great times together. So now the girls are happy evey night but they still ask to have 'camp outs' to have that special time with their brothers and I think thats awesome.
If you use this just as a night light or to facilitate your childrens natural curiosity and creativity, either way its a 5 star product. If I ever see these again at such a great price I will be buying more for when my kids move into their own rooms or as gifts, but it such a great product with realistically a decent price I would pay $20 if I had to.』

It has to be put together by an adult for sure, and you will be putting it together a lot because it falls apart constantly. Annoying to get the lid on when the pet is already moving, and the zhu zhu falls over constantly. We're happy w/ our pets and w/ the car but not this ball! I think I may take a previous posters advice of supergluing the ball so it won't fall apart....』

Don't get my wrong, I know this is a simplistic, overpriced toy. To be fair, the various components (once prices went back to normal) are comparable to what you'd pay for a real hamster toy.
If you've read my other reviews, or Zhu Zhu reviews, you'll understand, I don't expect much. My little hamsters get "trapped" in the adventure wheel constantly (can't get back down tube) but I still can forgive it.
This adventure ball is something else though. I've tried the stabilizer every way possible, and it just is an expensive paper weight. To be fair, it says it doesn't work on carpets (p.s. carpets??? really???)...considering my Zhu Zhu pet doesn't do well on my carpet, I was hoping this would make up for it. It does not.
Many of the accessories are amusing and pleasing, this one having tried it in a variety of environments and ways, is a huge let down.
The ONE plus, is the mini ball that comes packaged with it, my hamster loves playing with it in her playhouse. But the adventure ball itself...no go...if I was completely accurate, I'd rate it 1.5 stars.』

It hooks up to the main "house" and the pets scramble up the ramp and then down the spiral.My daughter loves to watch the pets go up and then down the ramps. A "must have" for your Zhu Zhu pets!』
(hamster just can't climb that ramp!) 『I got my daughter the funhouse set that came with Patches for Christmas. The connector on one side of the tunnel never sits right and comes apart easily. She just got this ramp/slide accessory last night and the ramp is made of 3 connecting pieces. The connectors for the ramp, like the funhouse, also don't quite snap securely into place resulting in 2 problems. First, as with the funhouse, a slight bump and the ramp falls apart. Second, because the connection is not tight, the hamster sometimes stalls over the bumps and spaces. Still, even when the connections are tight (when I first fix it) this accessory is really disappointing because the hamster just can't climb the ramp without a little help from my daughter. For the amount these toys cost, I expect better quality.』
(The ramp is cute!) 『This is our second favorite add on accessory to the zhu-zhu fun house! It is a lot of fun to see the zhu-zhus go up the ramp, come down and keep on going! It is also very sturdy - we havent had to do any modifications on the ramp b/c it is built pretty good.. stays together, doesnt come apart or anything.
Someone mentioned that they had problems with the zhu-zhus getting stuck in the ramp.. let them go! They get "stuck" all the time, its on purpose..! Often times they'll get to the very top, stick their nose out and make little sounds for about 10 seconds or so, and come right back down the ramp and try it again! Its kinda cute.. it does this often - it'll stop going up the ramp for a few seconds, and either continue on or go sliding right on back down. We have never had any problems with the zhu-zhu becoming permanently stuck (well, unless you count two of the zhu-zhus trying to go up the ramp at the same time, then yeah.. these things dont share very good, do they?!)
Anyways, excellent add on accessory, I do recommend it!』

(Zhu Zhu hamster wheel is good fun!) 『I purchased this hamster wheel for Zhu Zhu pets for my daughter's hamsters. It was easy to assemble and add on to the main "house." It is a lot of fun to watch the hamsters run into the tunnel and then run in the wheel. The only thing I find is that some of the hamsters (my daughter has Num Num, Mr. Squiggles, and Pipsqueak) fall over when in the wheel and must be "righted" before they can continue. After a while the hamsters sometimes do find their way out of the wheel and back into the tunnel that connects to the main house. With multiple hamsters sometimes Pipsqueak will be in the wheel and Mr. Squiggles will enter the tunnel causing a bit of a problem in the wheel which must be attended to before both hamsters fall over. My daughter really enjoys watching the pets run in the wheel and it doesn't take up much space. Overall it's great fun!』

(My Favorite Annoyance of the Zhu Zhu World...) 『Due to my lifelong love of all things animal (including stuffed animals) I ended up giving the Zhu Zhu pets and a few of the accessory sets a try.
To start, I will say that you should DEFINITELY invest in some of the accessories if you get the Zhu Zhu pet, otherwise, hamster alone is kind of a boring experience.
As for this accessory specifically...my experience has been mixed (as you might guess from the review title.) One of my favorite "sounds" (and to watch) having owned rats&mice, was the wheel. Although some have reported problems with the wheel rotating properly, my wheel spins fantastically.
That said, though not everyone has had this problem, I find that most times my hamster will get "stuck" on the wheel, unable to go back through the tunnel. This is the only accessory (I own several) where the tunnel is an issue. So as much as I love the wheel, it can be irritating at times.』
