My 5 year old daughter got this from Santa and her favorite feature is that she can change the bezel color from blue to yellow to pink. My favorite features are the "toe button" that speaks the time and the time-telling games that come with it - you can start with very basic games (eg. round numbers like 3 o'clock) and then gradually increase difficulty (eg. 3:30, then 3:15, then 3:20, then 3:23). A little pricey but you get a lot of features. Kind of funky and modern-looking. Doesn't take up too much space on the dresser top. Overall a decent value.』

(Perfect for my two kids) 『I got each of kids one of these clocks and purposely put an alarm on the older child (4) and DID not put one on the younger child (almost 3). For my oldest the alarm is working beautifully! He looks forward to getting up, comes in our room and says the clock is green, it's wake up time. And he love touching the feet to hear what time it is and matching it up with the way the minute hand moves around and around. I think he figured out how to turn off the alarm but thankfully he isn't jumping back in bed. The only problem is that his next move is to wake up his sister (who we don't want to wake up that early) and then come jump in our bed instead of starting with his routine. I rated this product a 5 star because it accomplishes exactly what it told you it would. If they could figure out a way to allow you to record a personal message like "Good Morning, Don't wake your sister up and got immediately to the potty" this would be the best clock ever made. But I guess those last two requests are just my issues...(smile) Definitely get this clock, you'll love it.』
(Brilliant concept, defective product) 『This clock's concept is excellent. We set it so that the light turns green at 7am, so our child has a visual cue to know when it's okay to get out of bed in the morning (instead of the middle of the night). It worked beautifully for about 60 days. Now it is defective. In the middle of the night it will start saying "the alarm is on! the alarm is off!" or the alarm bell will start ringing randomly. We tried replacing the batteries, plugging and unplugging it, etc. Nothing helped. Unfortunately we bought it elsewhere and could only return it for store credit since it was 60+ days past purchase. This was very frustrating. I might buy another one from Amazon and hope that the first one was defective, because the concept it so good.』

(Good Little Sand Table) 『This is a good table. It was very simple to put together. We got a 50lb. bag of play sand for $3.97 at Home Depot. So far we are just using the 4 toys it comes with, and a couple play mobils. My daughter and her friend are not quite 2 1/2 and they enjoy this table well enough. The trouble with it is that they want to carry the sand around and make sand piles all over the back yard. At the rate it's been going there will not be much sand left to play with soon. (Sturdy, fun and multifunctional) 『This was my 1 year old son's b'day present. I looked at several models and chose this table based on its size and price.
Set up took about 5 minutes, including the time it took to open the sand and pour it in. The table is very sturdy and deep enough to let the shovels and pails really dig in there. The lid is held by elastic ties on 2 sides of the table. It is not waterproof but I have found that whatever little water does wind up in the table only aids the kids in packing the sand in their toys. Also, the table version here is much better than the sand boxes that lie on the floor if you plan to use it on a deck. When you go to sweep off the sand that has spilled it gets under the ladybug/turtle sand boxes and is impossible to get out. And it traps moisture between the bottom of the floor and the deck which could, in time, warp the wood. We are putting our old sand table (the turtle floor-bound version) in the yard sale next year.
This could be used for a variety of applications: sand table, water table, rice/bean table, and we are coming back to purchase another for the kids to use indoors as a playdoh table so I don't have to peel playdoh out of the carpets anymore. My 4 and 6 year olds love it and would play with it all day.

Like others who have reviewed it, we found it is really not appropriate for use as a dresser, but the two storage shelves of the unit are great for a lot of his toys, books, and has also become his hiding place where he "disappears" from Mommy and Daddy, then bursts out with "Here I Am!"... a game he loves.
The unit is fully assembled in the shipping box, and only requires sticker placement.
As for durability and design, we have not seen the problems others have mentioned. The doors fit perfectly; open and close appropriately. The shelves are strong and as mentioned earlier, fully support my son's 35lbs weight, though that certainly was not intentioned by the manufacturer.
The top is also strong but is not a flat surface (Looks like wide tire tread or pickup toolbox), so placing anything that requires careful balance (like some lamps) may not be the best idea.
Overall, we are extremely pleased with the unit, and more importantly, my son LOVES it. (We are purchasing the matching toy storage box, also available on Amazon).
Highly recommended if your child is a "Cars / Lightning McQueen" fanatic like ours is!』

We needed a taller stool for her to wash her hands as we are finally having success in potty training but the previous stool we had was way too short. This definitely makes hand washing easier. We keep this in the bathroom and do not move it from room toroom. Incidentally, my 16 mo old loves to get up on it when her older sister is going potty and make faces in the mirror. While I would not be comfortable with the little one getting on and off the stool w/o me in the room, while I'm there, it's fine. There is a bit of a gap in that the stool isnot flush with the cabinet under the sink. I don't see it as a huge problem but I would have preferred the back to be straighter instead of slanted. Even with two adorable "antihelpers" I put this together in about 10 minutes. Bottom line, I would recommend this if you need a taller stool.』

Figured it was time to get a higher stepstool (we have the baby bjorn stool to help her climb into and out of bed, but needed a higher one for the bathroom sink and kitchen counter where she likes to help "cook" also). I was trying to choose between this one and a similar one with the storage option but figured that since we will be moving it back and forth (the bathroom is small, and stool would sometimes be used in the kitchen as well) the storage would work against us in weighing the thing down. additionally, this stool is 2 inches higher than the storage stool and every little bit counts as my little girl is a tad on the short side. We've been using the stool for over a month now and she loves it. she will carry it from its location by the wall to the sink and climb up to wash her hands (using a small bucket to catch the water since she still can't reach the faucet). and it's also encouraged her to use the potty since she can climb up on it by herself (with the shorter step near the toilet). all in all, I'm very happy with this stool and glad that I went with this option. For the kitchen, I'll probably buy a second stool as it's a pain to carry back and forth in the apartment.』
(Ridiculous) 『I'm shocked that a company like KidKraft that makes so many children's products would create something so silly. This step stool is just dangerous! The gap between the stool and whatever furniture you are placing it against is big enough to get a little foot caught. It is also a little steep and uncomfortable and the picture looks like you'd be able to lift the top step for storage, but it's just wasted space. I sent it back as soon as I put it together and tried it out. It's also very heavy, which I guess can be a safety feature to avoid toppling, but because of the gap it actually just made it more dangerous if it tipped over.』
(Gives your kid a safe step up!) 『We have high sinks, faucets that don't extend very far out, and a child who is only barely at 50th percentile for height (just turned 2 at time of purchase). As we looked to encourage her to wash her hands (initially, just for general cleaniless, but later more frequently with potty training), I had a hard time finding a stool that was high enough her her to step up onto easily AND that would get her high enough to actually wash her hands. This stool is the solution!!
We first saw the floor model in a store but they had none in stock. We later bought online but for about $22-25. We have two - one in the kitchen, and one in a bathroom. The stool is heavy (read: sturdy, not going anywhere while your kid is going up/down), but was easy to assemble (arrives packaged flat). The stool is *not* a spacesaver, but given the drawbacks that other stools posed and the intended user, that was not our primary focus. We looked at more complex, expensive models (tower-like) that are interesting conceptually but much too large for our home (and also $80-100). We already own a couple of inexpensive step-stools, including one that it technically for children, but none of them went up high enough. One reviewer pointed out that these stools don't run up flush with walls, counters, etc. but have not found that problematic. I saw another model at IKEA ("Bekvam") that I think goes up plenty high, but it wasn't available at the time that we needed it, and when I actually saw it in person, I found that the distance from lower to higher step was really too great.
Initially we assisted our child in going up and down. One of our sinks is a pedastel and so we are very careful around that one. In the kitchen, with the counter to lean on, less supervision is needed, and now she can go down backwards by herself as well. We use it for handwashing, and now to do other things on the kitchen counter with her.
Stool availability seems to be an issue. I have tried to purchase four times (once in store, twice online in 2008, and now once in 2009, for another home) and each time they were out. Don't let that deter you - these are worth it!
