(I love my Boots, my Boots and me...) 『I'm breaking out of my comfort zone here (I usually ONLY review books, movies and music) to review a toy I recently purchased for my daughter (this is the fourth of potentially 5 reviews). My daughter (who is 2) is IN LOVE with Dora and Diego. She already has a few Dora dolls (not to mention a bedspread) but I just couldn't resist these little Ty dolls.
I actually really like the size. She can stuff all five of her dolls in her Dora Backpack and take them around the house with her. She loves to take Boots to bed with her (I don't advise young ones sleeping with Dora or Diego, beings that their hair is a bit of a choking hazard). My daughter already had a Boots doll that we got her when she saw `Dora Live', but the doll is about twice the size of this little Ty doll and is much harder. This Boots is a much softer and thus more lovable version of Boots, so I'm happy with it and she is too.
Yes, I gave it only four stars on durability since the ware and tear of a toddler can do some damage. Boots already is separating at the seams on his legs, so I had to get onto my little one for pulling at his legs. No, his legs are not falling off, but I can tell that they are getting weak. So, just watch your little ones to make sure they don't `love these little guys to death'.
If your kids love Dora (and especially that lovable little monkey, Boots) you can rest easy knowing that they will LOVE these dolls as well!
And a note to parents, these toys are NOT educational; but the show is VERY much so (my kids speaks Spanish! Like, OMG, I don't speak a word and she converses with me in Spanish at TWO YEARS OLD!!!).』

(Fun interactive toy) 『After you get past all the safety latches on the elmo live encore you will be amazed at how life like they have made elmo in comparison to some of the other versions(rock n roll elmo and limbo elmo come to mind). One thing that I consider negative is that his speaking/singing/instrumental voice is loud. For a toy that doesn't travel, and is meant to be watched, and poked it doesn't seem an appropriate volume. I would hate for someone to scream a short story at me. Second, his body is kind of hard plastic so he is not snuggable, I would have thought that they would have fixed that from the first version, but I guess they didn't have enough time to add some stuffing. A suggestion would be to add some clothes to him, maybe an infant coat, if you want to snuggle with him. Although his jokes aren't funny, the fact that he has crickets chirping and then laughs at himself is definitely funny. This toy is just entertaining, and it doesn't need to be anything else. I can't see anyone learning anything from it, maybe if he had interactive question answer that would be more helpful, but when they create that it probably wont be worth the price they want to charge. The mechanism is quieter than the first version, or else they just raised the volume on the speaker, but either way it is less noticeable. All in all I think it is a great toy if you can get it at a discount, not worth the original price. We purchased it for forty nine ninety nine, and I can live with that.』
(AN ELMO TOY ADULTS CAN LOVE) 『This is one amazing toy. I'm not sure of the exact height. I forgot to read that part, but my guess is 18 to 20 inches. So to little toddlers it will appear to be playmate size. The only reason I even know about this toy is because my 5 year old niece has one and I saw a demonstration. It is a very life-like animated entertainer. He tells stories, sings songs, sits on a provided stool, crosses his legs, mouth moves in sync with talking and singing. If you knock him over he'll say something like "Oops! Elmo fell down" and when you pick him up he says "You're my best friend". Build a little stage. Gather the little ones together. Elmo will provide a wonderful show. I think it takes about 10 minutes for Elmo to go through his whole routine. (My 3 Year Old Loves Dora) 『We got this toy as an airplance travel distraction, and my daughter thought it was the best thing in the world... Until she lost it during the trip. We bought it again for her 3rd birthday, and she is still playing with it. It is one of her favorite toys at the moment, along with the Diego and Boots dolls.
On second thought, I should have given Dora 5 star rating for educational value because it was very helpful during our trip to talk about maps and where we were going next. I love Dora, too!』

When I saw this set, though, I knew she had to have it! 6 months later, she still sleeps with them and gets them together to watch their show with her! I also made her a paper frog (Max's Froggy Friend) to put in his little overall pocket, and she got a real kick out of that! To be honest, I was expecting a larger toy. I'd say this is about the size of a Beanie Baby. The small size is the only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 stars. However, it is a perfect rendering of Olivia and I'm sure my daughter will love it. I spotted this toy when I was shopping at Justice and decided I wanted it. I couldn't buy anything that day, because we were just looking and seeing if Justice had some things we wanted for Christmas. The toy looked fun and easy to play with. It also looked about the perfect size for a younger child (3 to 5) to carry around with them and not lose it. The older children (6 to 10) will probably like the dressing up part. The toy is very cute and nice for even a baby a few months old to cuddle with in bed. As far as I know, most people will not be buying this toy for the holiday season, and this is the reason why. I and my sister decided that we wanted the tubes last Christmas. My parents, unlike most others, looked at the reveiws and searched online to know more about the toy. I did not get a tube that Christmas.
People have had horrible times with the My Meeba Tubes. They would say how their daughters were very excited about this toy and then it was too easy for them. Others say their younger children had a hard time. Also they say that the My Meeba toy inside is very cheap looking and boring for a child to play. This can be true. Because of this, My Meeba products are in great danger. But no worries this time, Holiday Shoppers! Mattel has come back with a better, improved My Meeba product that does not include a tube. These are more better My Meeba gifts and the toys, which most people did not like, are back and better made then before.

One never worked properly. The one we kept is ultra sensitive as another review states. If you barely touch any part, it will switch songs or features mid-song. Even our daughter looks at us as if to ask what's wrong with the toy. It also seems possessed as the toy goes off on its own often even when shut off. In the middle of the night it can be heard saying "blue ear". This is one of those toys as a parent that you wish were never in your house. The concept is great, but find another toy that has less glitches.』

The sensors in the paws are sooo sensitive that she would be playing with it while it was singing to her and then she'd bump a paw and it would start doing something else.
