One of the biggest reasons of success in the Final Fantasy series was the music, and this game Final Fantasy 6 (FF3 in USA) has above and beyond the greatest soundtrack out of all of them. None of these are Midis, they are all the original music themselves. A great buy.』
(A Great Set of Music) 『The music was very beautifully written, making it easy to become part of the music at times. The love themes are very heartfelt and perhaps the most touching of them was Aria Di Mezzo Carattere on Disk 2. I found certain songs such as Techno de Chocobo to be a little rough on the ears, but it is the only techno song in the entiire set(also on disk 2). The music is entirely instrumental, therefore sometimes a bit lengthy and othertimes fairly short. The longest song is the ending theme(counted at 21 minutes, 35 seconds. It is a blend of all the music in the entire set, but still good if one enjoys instrumental movements. Overall, a great set. I'd recommned it.』
(It Really is the Best Final Fantasy Soundtrack) 『Even in the year 2006, Nobuo Uematsu's score to Final Fantasy VI is regarded by fans as his best music score to the Final Fantasy series. Forget that Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX and X are out there, fans are still coming to the FFVI soundtrack and listening to it as if it's modern day music. Is it say... Beethoven's 9th Symphony? Indeed, it is not, but as far as video games go, Final Fantasy VI has a music soundtrack that is worthy of praise and fame.
Final Fantasy VI was a game on the Super Nintendo. Originally released int he states as Final Fantasy III, gamers were imediately blown away by its memorable characters and storyline along with it's complex, insane, kill-for-sport main villian, Kefka. Final Fantasy VI has a large cult following. Long time Final Fantasy fans regard Final Fantasy VI as the best one in the series (a shock to those who keep blabbering Final Fantasy VII is the best). Yet what really compliments Final Fantasy VI and Nobuo Uematsu is the soundtrack to the game. Composed for the Super Nintendo, you won't hear anything quite as good as what you'll hear on a playstation (the Super Nintendo simply wasn't capbale of such), but you'll still find a few goods songs that not only make you feel good and remember the game, but that you'll want to listen to for the sake of listening to them. You don't have to be a Final Fantasy fan to enjoy the music, just a music lover.
There are plenty of memorable tracks. From Kefka's theme all the way on down to the classic ending prelude that's played in just about every Final Fantasy game. However, of all of Final Fantasy VI's tracks, the best of the lot is without a doubt the opera smash Aria Di Mezzo Carattere. The music of Aria Di Mezzo Carattere is often remembered as the music to the opera scene, spotted by many Final Fantasy fans to be one of the most memorable moments in Final Fantasy history (perhaps even video game history itself). This track quickly makes you forget that you are listening to the music of a Super Nintendo game, and you'll think you really are listening to Symphony.
I will agree with those who say that the Final Fantasy VI soundtrack is the best. Remember, this is a soundtrack for a game on the dated Super Nintendo, and it still sounds good, even in this day and age. This is Nobuo Uematsu's crowning achievement in Final Fantasy!』
(Could be the best) 『This soundtrack is probably my favorite right next to FF7. To me it's hard to tell which one is better. They are both my fav at the time of their release. FFVI is the best SNES release and FF7 is the best PS release. Both have just extremely beautiful music. If you like Final Fantasy you will absolutely love the soundtracks. GET IT NOW!!!』
(How could anyone *not* say it's the best?) 『There is a group of fans that absolutely worship this score and I must admit that I am one of them. If I were to be stranded on a desert island with nothing but five soundtracks that I could choose, this would most definitely be one. Nobuo Uematsu transcended all that seemed possible and created a score of boundless and adventurous spirit that has yet to be topped in the videogame music world.
The Final Fantasy series has certainly had its recent ups and downs, but without a doubt in my mind, the sixth installment is the pinnacle of FF music, and indeed game music thus far. Years ago, when I was in fifth grade, the unforgettable Final Fantasy IV was released, which was my first true introduction into the wonders of game music. It wasn't until a couple of years later that I played part six. While IV impressed me by its almost orchestral sound system (at least I thought so at the time), VI completely blew me away with its incredible traditional arrangements and its knack for unhampered thematic progression.
This leads me to acknowledge this soundtrack's best feature: I've yet to hear one soundtrack from a videogame or a movie that contains so many memorable themes. There are so many great melodies rolled into one neat little package that it makes it nearly impossible to pick out a favorite. There are a couple throwaway tracks, but who cares? There's so much great stuff here that the bad is completely overshadowed and ultimately overlooked. I will admit that this is much darker than its predecessors, but I believe that this is simply a direct turn into musical maturity. The previous FF scores may have been lighthearted, and therefore fun to listen to, but one can hardly make any argument that they were "matureE though I hold them dear to my heart as well. This particular score fits the game like a glove and enhances its emotional impact at least tenfold, yet it still contains a bit of that humorous Uematsu charm that we all know and love. And it is still lighthearted compared to FFVII that was to follow.
The basis for this soundtrack is generally carried by the Wagnerian technique of leitmotif, or character theme, which you may or may not know, was also the basis for John WilliamsEStar Wars scores. Though Wagner pioneered this technique, Nobuo, in my opinion, maximizes it to the fullest extent, surpassing Wagner entirely. There is a theme for every character and many of these receive a secondary arrangement such as "Coin SongEfor Edgar and Sabin and "Forever RachelEforLocke. Many of these character themes sound traditional, and then there are some that take other routes. "ShadowE for example, sounds as if it came straight out of an Ennio Morriconne spaghetti western soundtrack. While not easy to pick out a favorite, I can say what I don't like. I never cared for the Ghestal/Empire theme that is used in several militaristic tracks, and I've always found Strago's theme to be particularly annoying. Overall though, the character themes form a set of thoroughly entertaining and endearing melodies. More great tracks include the second overworld theme "Searching for Friends,Ewhich is similar to Terra's overworld theme but seems a bit more thoughtful and stirring. "Devil's LabEis certainly a fun listen, and "The Fierce BattleEsounds absolutely ferocious - I believe it to be the second best battle theme in the series right after "Dancing MadEon thesame CD!
One cannot write a review for FFVI OST without mentioning the immortal opera sequence. This also sounds as if Wagner inspired it, as it nearly matches his style. I've never been one to care for opera, but no one can deny that this is just incredible. Once the intro hits the forefront, you are immediately drawn in by its raw power, and the cinematic sequences that follow are just incredible. The best track in the opera sequence is probably the famous "Aria Di Mezzo CarattereEversion of CelesEtheme, which is one of the most praised tracks in FF history.
If you're looking for the perfect score, then you won't find it here because if it's perfection you're searching for, you're never going to be satisfied. There is no such thing as perfect! If I really have to demand it, then the one thing that irks me the most about the soundtrack actually has little to do with the composition itself, but rather the CD release. I just wish that the ending theme had been split into two tracks. It seems kind of ridiculous to stick all twenty-one minutes into one track when it contains two very separate compositions. Even so, I really shouldn't complain, considering I believe this to be the second greatest piece of music ever composed, just behind the "PrestoEmovement from Beethoven's ninth symphony. My personal favorite section is the *hugely* bombastic arrangement of Setzer's theme which kicks off as the end credits begin to roll. Combined with the ingenious "Dancing MadEthat comes just prior, I'd say the two conclusive tracks of Final Fantasy VImake for the most enthralling forty solid minutes of music *ever*, and I don't see how it's possible to not view it as such.
As a whole, this, my favorite game soundtrack, makes a timelessly inspiring listen, leaving its own niche in the souls of those who hear it. I recommend it wholeheartedly. Honestly, I don't know how anyone could think that any other game soundtrack out there today could top it. The future may hold a soundtrack that I like better, but until then, Final Fantasy VI Original Sound Version will be the game score by which I judge all others.

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (My Son Loves This) 『This was a birthday present for my son. He said the cd is good and has enjoyed listening to it. Thanks for the sale and service...it was excellent.』
(this movie ROCKS!) 『i'm not an anime fan and i don't play video games, but this movie ROCKS!』
(One word: AMAZING.) 『Back in 2005, FF7AC was released in Japan, and was a video hit. I saw the movie last December and thought it was amazing, then I bought it on DVD in April 2006. The musical score... AMAZING. As you can see, It blends in classical with hardcore/ heavy metal (You've gotta love the "hardcore" version of ONE WINGED ANGEL.)
This summer, I bought the score soundtrack at Animethon. I was pleased! It has every song used in the film, and the songs sound better by themselves.
BEST TRACKS (in no order): Advent: One Winged Angel J.E.N.O.V.A Those Who Fight Those Who Fight Further Beyond the Wasteland Divinity I&II
WORST TRACKS (in no order) That's a tough descision, but I will say:
For The Reunion (remember in an above paragraph I says the tracks sound better by themselves? This one for some reason sounds better in the movie.) Sign (Dunno, but must be it's repetitiveness.) Forever Walking Alone The Chase of The Highway
HONORABLE MENTIONS: Battle In The Forgotten City Calling
So I reccomend you buy this, no matter what it takes.』
(Advent Children Soundtrack) 『This is my favourite soundtrack ever!!! It has (in my opinion) all of Nobuo Uematsu's greatest works in it, though it's gone the heavy-metal way. There are some songs like Encounter, Materia and Savior which are quite trippy, and ones like Water and Cloud Smiles which are soft. The One Winged Angel is a great one to listen to, and it had different lyrics from the others. It is the most heavy-metal out of all of them, and has an exremely strong beat to it, with electric guitars and drums all the way through it. If you are a Final Fantasy fan, love FFVII:AC, or just like different rock music, this is definitely for you!』
(Advent adventure) 『The Final Fantasy series is reknowned for having great music, and "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" is no exception. Composer Nobuo Uematsu does some of his best work for this game, bringing together a mix of ethereal classical and pulse-racing hard rock.
The album opens with a delicate string melody, which slowly blossoms out into a full-on symphonic sound. Imagine the musical rendition of a magnificent sunrise over the mountains, and you have an idea of what "Opening" sounds like.
The music turns slightly ominous, trips through a delicate piano solo, dabbles in new-agey piano pop, and even explodes into a frenetic, gypsyish tune in "Beyond the Wasteland." Then the action starts. About halfway through the entire album, we get to "Battle of the Forbidden City," a taut rock number (backed by angelic voices and strings, but still!).
From there on, through most of the second disc, it's an even mixture of delicate classical and symphonic rock. And Uematsu throws in some sputtery techno and new agey stuff as well. The whole thing climaxes with "Advent: One-Winged Angel," a dramatic track that sounds like a musical battle of sorts, and is backed by eerie voices singing "Sephiroth... Sephiroth..."
Then it's back to the more peaceful stuff. The battle is over, the story ends, and the soundtrack concludes with some fragile, hopeful little songs. (And a techno song that seems out of place, right at the very end. "Calling" just somehow doesn't fit the finale)
"Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" is one of those soundtracks that can be enjoyed even if you haven't played the games. But fans of the games (and the "Advent Children" movie) will probably be transported by the music -- you can almost see the scenes play out as the album goes on.
Uematsu has a talent for blending genres: hard rock, classical and a dash of techno. There are blasts of harsh guitar and synth, but then the music can instantly switch over to swelling strings and soft melodies. And of course, the piano-based songs like the bittersweet "Tifa's Theme" or the shimmering "Aerith's Theme," which seem to capture the characters' personalities. Many songs have a choir of angelic-sounding vocalists.
Unlike many composers, Uematsu is equally adept at both rock and neo-classical. But the most impressive aspect of the music is that it's so evocative. Some music is for battles, and some is for slow, meditative scenes, and listeners can almost feel the emotions in those scenes.
Even if you've never played "Final Fantasy" games, the soundtrack of "Advent Children" is an outstanding mix of styles and feelings. A must-listen.』

Imagine this..you're on one of the most powerful aircraft carriers of present day and you get whooshed back in time to just before the attack on Pearl Harbor. I won't spoil it for future viewers, I'll just say I really enjoyed it! Kirk Douglas and Michael Sheen are excellent and add their own quirks to the film. A must see. What would you do??』
(Great Sci Fi) 『This has traditionally been on of my favorites. An older film this boasts a very good cast and a what if scenario, if history could be changed. If you like military films and Sci Fi you may well enjoy this film.』
(One for a remake) 『The Final Countdown has always been one of my favourite what if movies. I purchased it on Blue Ray and was surprised at how well it turned out. Most of the time when they take an older movie like this and put them on BR and you watch them on a large screen TV 50 inches or better it is still like watching a VHS tape on a big screen. The BR Copy I bought was like a VHS upgrade to DVD. By no means as clear as BR should be but much much better than I expected to get. Hats off to the remastering team that did the work on these disks. BR and DVD.
Lastly. Would it not be cool for a good director and production team to remake this movie. And not ruin it with PC garbage or turning it in to a global warming commercial, or turning it in to a liberal anti war propaganda reel. Wouldn't it be cool if it was done right with today's effects?

(Modern Classic) 『This movie has always been a favorite of mine. The special effects were good enough for the time and still do not take away from a very entertaining movie. The Blu-ray clarity has added a wonderful aspect to all the flight operations. This movie was made the cooperation of the Navy and everything is actual footage and not computer generated. The F-14s and the Confererate Air Force Zeros performed amazing maneuvers together. The cast is first rate and made the movie work. As an added enjoyment, watch the interviews with the "Jolly Rogers". Naval Aviators always have something fun to say and don't worry about being politically correct.』 『With a tantalizing "what-if?" scenario and a respectable cast of Hollywood veterans,The Final Countdownplays like a grand-scale episode ofThe Twilight Zone. It's really no more than that, and time-travel movies have grown far more sophisticated since this popular 1980 release, but there's still some life remaining in the movie's basic premise: What if a modern-era Navy aircraft carrier--in this case the real-life nuclear-poweredU.S.S. Nimitz--was caught in an anomalous storm and thrust 40 years backwards in time to the eve of Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor? Will the ship's commander (Kirk Douglas) interfere with history? Will the visiting systems analyst (Martin Sheen) convince him not to? Will a rescued senator from 1941 (Charles Durning) play an unexpected role in the future of American politics? Veteran TV director Don Taylor doesn't do much with the ideas posed by this potentially intriguing plot; he seems more interested in satisfying aviation buffs with loving footage of F-14 "Jolly Roger" fighter jets, made possible by the Navy's generous cooperation. That makesThe Final Countdowna better Navy film than a full-fledged time-travel fantasy, but there's a nice little twist at the end, and the plot holes are easy to ignore. Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Meh.) 『Say what you will about modern horror and the extremities it goes to in making an audience cringe - at least it's doing SOMETHING right. The watered down horror era of the late 90s/early 00s is over. Whew.
All these movies were good for (Valentine, IKWYDLS, etc.) were jump scares and pretty people getting sliced and diced, even if you didn't really see much of it. It was horror for the NSync and Britney crowd. "OMG, LYKE, DON'T GO IN THERE AND STUFF!"
The more time passes, the more I realize I can't even enjoy these films for cheap nostalgia (class of '99 boeeeeey!). My generation got the shaft with the horror genre. I mostly watched stuff from the 70s and 80s back then anyway. Blockbuster Video was just a few blocks away.

(Read this review) 『Do you want to know how you're going to die?"Yes, I do..."No, you don't. The X-Files never reached greater heights of episode quality than on October 3, 1995, when it aired"Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose". Bruckman (played by the incomparable Peter Boyle) is a middle-aged balding bachelor who recognizes life for the meaningless, empty game it is...and never has a television character carried such wisdom in every word, every gesture, every glance... This episode alone should warrant buying the video set (the others are of high quality as well, especially"War of the Coprophages", though I doubt the other episodes will appeal much to people who haven't followed the complicated mythology of the series). As another X-Files character once said,"Everything dies"- more than enough reason why the first episode in this set is a must--have.』
(Great box set from the best season (#3) of the X Files) 『This"wave"(5), along with 6, are the video representatives of the third season of the X Files. Since the X Files have set a standard of excellence that will most likely NEVER by equalled in television again, discussion of the merits of this or that particular episode/season should be qualified; in other words, even the BAD episodes (there aren't many) have something of interest in them. That being said, I feel that season three is the best overall season to date; although only 12 episodes have been chosen (as with the other seasons), they easily could have rounded up another 8 of similiar quality ( e.g. OUBLIETTE, GROTESQUE, SYZYGY,THE LIST,etc). The mythology 2-parters from the 3rd season are the absolute best to date. Newcomers to the X Files will be blown away by the production values these shows exhibit. Also included are writer Darrin Morgan's masterpieces, self-mocking,quirky and strangely moving. I can't recommend these episodes highly enough; it's a very rare phenomenon indeed when high art is extremely popular. The X Files IS such a phenomenon.』
(The wave which originally got me hooked to the X-Files...) 『My sister was home from college for a few weeks, and she had to see the X-Files when it came on Fridays (think it was still on Fridays back then at least). Well, we watched the 2 parter (Nisei&731) and I continued to watch it but not as consistently as now. The Blessing Way was also a great season premiere, Paper Clip was well written, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose is one of my favorites, and War of the Coprophages is a quite interesting episode (kinda makes me sick in my stomach, lol). Great wave! Not as good as 6 or 7 but very close!』 『Volume 5: "The Blessing Way/Paper Clip," "Nisei/731," and "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose/War of the Coprophages."』

(The Best One.) 『Released in 1984, "The Final Chapter" (aka Part 4) was arguably the darkest and scariest of the Jason Voorhees slasher atrocities. *Many fans like Part 2 better, finding it more creepy. Whatever. It's a toss up, imo.
STORY: Picking up where Part 3 ended.... Presumed dead when found in a barn, the huge masked killer is carted away to a hospital morgue. Pity two employees there that night. Jason escapes and walks back towards his stomping grounds, Crystal Lake, and he murders anyone he sees on his way back home.
The Jarvis Family of three lives near the lake and the son Tommy (played by Corey Feldman) is an amateur maker of horror masks. (A shame that doesn't figure in better with the plot).
Six teenagers come to a nearby house for a weekend party, and among them is Jimbo (played by Crispin Glover, son of Bond villain Bruce Glover) and Crispin's dance scene is hilarious! The other guy who turns off the rock record, interrupting that funny dance, well, for that he deserves to die ...and he does.
Tommy and his big sister Trish take on Jason when the horror hits too close to home.
Note: There is nudity and f words.
- Oh, and JASON RUNS!
Reasonably, this film rates as an 8. Whereas the creative kill effects are a 10.

(Review for the DVD) 『FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER DVD
***** Out of 5
In recent years DVD releases have started to get really lame; so called SE DVDs is anything, but that. Even Blu-ray releases aren't always so excellent either. Of all the DVDs and Blu-ray's I own most of the weakest releases are always from Paramount and their releases of the Friday the 13th movies are terrible. With the Deluxe Edition DVDs and Blu-ray releases, Paramount has slightly made up for their horrible releases of the series. But The Final Chapter was an excellent release and quite honestly one of my favorite DVDs that I own.
AUDIO COMMENTARY- Joseph Zito, Barney Cohen, Joel Goodman Solid track, which is the standard commentary track, but it is informative and a good listen, but the 2nd audio track was better; but like I said this was a good track.
AUDIO COMMENTARY- Adam Green&Joe Lynch Adam Green is of course the writer/director of Hatchet and Joe Lynch the director of Wrong Turn 2 and these two are truly a blast to listen to. Like all of us they are fans of the movie and it's just a blast listening to these guys talk about the movie; they have fun with the movie and have a few jokes about the movie, but not in an insulting way. Like I said, like all of us Green and Lynch are fans and it's sort of like hanging out with a couple of friends and watching the movie. I wasn't sure if I liked the idea of a fan commentary, but it turned out to be possibly the best part of the disc. Both Green and Lynch are horror geeks and it's so much fun listening to them go on about the movie.
LOST TALES FROM CAMP BLOOD PART IV 6:19 Directed by Andrew Ceperley and like the others I found this enjoyable; while it's nothing amazing, it is fun for the most part. This may not be the strongest feature on the disc, but makes for a decent filler.
SLASHED SCENES 15:17 This is a collection of alternate footage that features extra gore, but you can see the cast and crew so it's not the typical alternate footage. There is also no audio, since the track was lost, but director Joseph Zito provides commentary on it. This was an excellent feature and this alone makes the disc more than worth a purchase.
JASONS UNLUCKY DAY: 25-YEARS AFTER FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER- 11:02 This features interviews with many members of the cast and crew and while it's pretty much the same stuff we've heard in the past it's still a very solid feature.
THE LOST ENDING 3:19 Like Slashed Scenes there is no audio, but commentary is provided by Joseph Zito and Kimberly Beck; despite no audio there are subtitles provided. This was really great to finally see; I'm not sure if it would have worked in the film itself. But once again this disc provides the goods.
THE CRYSTAL LAKE MASSACRE REVISITED PART 1 18:05 This is a really fun feature, which is a spoof on the series; it centers on people who live around Crystal Lake and they discuss the legend of Jason; this feature is rather silly, but it's also very funny; keep a watch for the names horror fans and Friday fans should pick up on them; Director Stuart Gordon appears as Shelly' father; Shelly of course being from Friday the 13th Part 3. This one is just silly fun and another excellent feature. This was directed by Daniel Farrands the writer of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.
JIMMY'S DEAD DANCE MOVES 2:06 Commentary is provided by Joseph Zito and once again we have another winner; this was a really fun feature and I'm sure fans of this movie will love it.
THEATRICAL TRALIER 1:54 No need to explain this.
TRANSFER All the prior releases of The Final Chapter were quite poor with a lot of grain and dirt; to be honest the past DVD releases were slightly better than a re-mastered VHS and at times the quality was no better than a VHS. To be honest the only reason to buy the DVD is for the Widescreen; if not for that the DVD wasn't an upgrade over the VHS for the most part.
Of all the DVD release for the Friday the 13th movies The Final Chapter was the worst transfer. Forget the features for a moment the picture quality alone is worth the price of the disc. This transfer is far better than the lousy releases in the past; while there is still obviously some grain and dirt this transfer looks amazing and far sharper than the prior releases.
The colors are sharp and the movie looks brand new. This DVD was re-mastered in High Definition and it just looks amazing. Sometimes these movies are too cleaned up and they lose their low budget charm, but that doesn't happen here. But the picture is sharp and spot on; the past releases were horrible, but this DVD is top notch.
The scene where Jason kills Doug was horrible in the original release; the POV shots are so grainy and it just simply looked horrible and plus the light was turned off, but yet it was still bright in the room. That problem is gone on this transfer. The original release the picture quality was terrible, but this new DVD gets it all right and the movie looks amazing and brings a new layer to the movie;
AUDIO
The new 5.1 Surround sound was alright; to be honest on this release and the Blu-ray releases for the first 3 I have preferred the original Mono track. The 5.1 sounds great in terms of music, but I wasn't too fond of the dialogue. It didn't sound bad or anything, but I didn't really like it all that much. Again it sounds good, but I preferred the original Mono track.
FINAL WORDS ON THE DISC I'm sure many will wait for a Blu-ray release, but the DVD is very worthy. Due to the age of the film and the Blu-ray will be taken from the same source when the Blu-ray does come out it really won't look that much better and odds are the extras will be the same. But if anyone is hesitant on picking this up due to Paramount's track record I can faithfully say Paramount did right this time; this is one of the few releases that is worthy of being called a Special Edition (or in this case Deluxe Edition). The only thing really missing is the TV scenes that were included on the Crystal Lake to Manhattan set. But it's really not a big deal. This disc is jam packed with solid extras and has a great transfer and is highly worth the upgrade.』
(Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (Deluxe Edition)) 『This DVD is an essential buy for any FT13 fan simply just for the cut scenes on it.
There is almost 20 minutes of deleted scenes and effects test footage in the DVD - and the previously lost ending. This is what the FT13 box set should of had on it.』
(A Surprisingly Better Entry in the "Friday the 13th" Series) 『After going 3D, Jason Voorhees returned for what was supposed to be a final killing spree. Tom Savini, the makeup master who created the original look of Jason, returned for this film reportedly so he could actually kill his famed creation. With a new director, Joseph Zito, at the helm we also get a new cast with two familiar faces surprisingly (Crispin Glover and Corey Feldman in case you were wondering).
The movie begins with a blissfully short, 3-minute recap of the first three films. Then, keeping in mind that Jason took an axe to the head at the finale of the previous film, we see police and emergency personnel at work gathering the bodies of victims from the last film. Jason's apparently lifeless body is taken to the morgue, but it doesn't take long for Jason to rise again.
As usual, a group of kids drive out to a house where you know Jason will eventually find them. Next-door to said house is Tommy Jarvis' (Feldman) house. Tommy is a young boy who is remarkably good at making masks, which is basically a ploy for Savini to unveil some of his creations.
One of the most impressive things about The Final Chapter is how much time is spent on character development. There's the usual amount of bloodshed; but the writers allow the audience to meet characters and get to know them a lot more than we're used to. They're far from being 3-dimensional, but there is depth there that hasn't previously existed.
With that, The Final Chapter still doesn't bring anything new to the series, but it's more stylish than previous entries. It does however have one of the most hilariously bad death scenes I've seen in one of these films ("Oh my God, he's killing me! He's killing me!").
Looking past that flaw, Savini did a really terrific job on the makeup. Jason unmasked looks more frightening than he ever has before. Not very realistic, but the entire concept of Jason isn't very realistic so we can ignore that.
Yes, it's flawed; yes, it's familiar. But The Final Chapter has enough going for it that I can call it the best of the first four movies.

(ROSWELL) 『I liked this show when it was on TV. My kids and I would take time out to watch it as a family. It is good to fantasize a little bit every once in awhile.』
(Good series) 『This movie is one of old habbits. My girlfriend used to watch it once and she had not watched all of the series. For a while she've been asking for it, and when I found it on amazon.com I rappidly purchased it. Nice series, good quality, it is also working in Turkey. (I suppose it will work in the other non-us countries.)』
(love this series!) 『i love this series! such a shame that it ended. this one i had to send back twice to get one with a decent box.. what is up with amazon and the destruction of roswell's boxes? anyway, i have no complaints other than that. the content of the series itself is really good and i like it a lot.』
(A Lot of Heart) 『"Roswell" has a lot to prove to me in its third season. I was utterly unimpressed with Season One, but still entertained enough to give the show another chance. And when I saw the second season, I was blown away by the increase in quality. However, I was let down by the finale of the second season, which felt like a contrived way to get rid of a character that fans didn't like (Tess). So going into this season, the third and final, I had high hopes that show-runners Jason Katims and Ronald D. Moore would bounce back with another great season.
And they did. Against all odds, even. Creative decisions were made that I couldn't have imagined would work for the better, but in the end, they did. While the core of the first season was the romance between Max and Liz (played by Jason Behr and Shiri Appleby, the two weakest members of the cast) and the second season focused on the sci-fi aspect, the third creates a sort of balance between those two aspects. By this time, both Liz and Max have developed as characters and Behr and Appleby have drastically matured as actors. Both of these factors come together, finally making the Liz/Max pairing a believable relationship.
Another decision that I couldn't have imagined working was the introduction of Jesse Ramirez (played by Adam Rodriguez) as a member of the main cast. At first, I was weary, and then when Isabel and Jesse got married six episodes into the season, I was still iffy about it but also blown away by the ballsiness of that decision. In the end, it certainly was worth it, thanks in part to Adam Rodriguez's brilliant performance. However, some of the decisions didn't work as well. For the first half of the season, Max had a drastic wardrobe change, which reeked of the crew trying desperately to make us believe that Max was troubled and tormented. Instead of actually selling that aspect of his character in a story, they threw a leather jacket on him, tousled his hair, and put a bit of eye-liner on him to make his eyes look sunken. Also, there was an episode where Michael "goes bad" which felt very contrived to me. To work up to such a dramatic shift in a character (even if it's just for one episode), it has to be earned, and I felt that it wasn't earned in this case.
Overall, the risks taken by the "Roswell" team in the final season paid off. It's not as good as the second season, but it's still way better than the first. Here is a list of episodes that I thought stood out the most.
5. Michael, the Guys, and the Great Snapple-Caper: Very funny Michael-centric episode. 4. Four Aliens and a Baby: Tess comes back, the fit hits the shan, and the character assassination of Tess in the second season is partly made up for. 3. A Tale of Two Parties: Explores character very nicely, centering on the relationships between aliens and humans who we don't normally see interact that much in regular episodes 2. Graduation: A fitting finale. The season was cut by a few episodes, so it's amazing to see what the writers did in such a short period of time. Tearjerker. 1. Panacea: Roswell at its dangerous best. Emotions are high as the characters we've come to care dearly about are thrown into mortal danger.
All in all, this season was really about maturity. All of the actors improved drastically in this season, and though those who have stood out still stand out the most (William Saddler as Jim Valenti, Nick Wechsler as Kyle Valenti, Majandra Delfino as Maria DeLuca, and Brendan Fehr as Michael Guerin), Shiri Appleby and Jason Behr really start to show their acting chops in this season as well. The characters take on new directions, some good and some not-so-much, but the heart of the show is always there. And--get ready for this review to end on a cheesy, but true, note--the heart has always been what makes "Roswell" a good show. A show that I certainly won't forget.
8/10』 『Studio: Tcfhe Release Date: 08/22/2006 Run time: 792 minutes』 『The sci-fi-themed teen dramaRoswellbegins its third and final season with Max (Jason Behr) and Liz (Shiri Appleby) back together and taking a desperate chance to find Max's son. After the many cosmic concepts of the previous season, the series dialed back the mythology to focus on the more--excuse the expression--humanaspects of the characters.Roswellwas often described asDawson's CreekmeetsThe X-Files, and accordingly Isabel (Katherine Heigl) finds romance with a lawyer (Adam Rodriguez), but struggles both with her mixed feelings about revealing her alien identity and with the aftermath of the tragedy in season 2. (The romance is later spoofed in aBewitched-style episode.) At the same time, Max and Michael (Brendan Fehr) travel to Los Angeles in search of an alien bounty hunter that might be able to help them find Max's son. (They also findRoswellexecutive producer Jonathan Frakes making a guest appearance as himself.) Michael takes a night job that at first is played for laughs (in "Michael, the Gang, and the Great Snapple Caper"), then takes on threatening implications in a rousing two-parter that eventually leaves all parties not too much different from how they started. Michael also struggles in his relationship with Maria (Majandra Delfino), first when he makes new friends and later when she meets a figure from her past (Clayne Crawford) who revives a longtime music dream that might lead to bigger things. All the while, the alien trio faces the constant struggle of keeping their identities secret, even as the net seems to be tightening around them. When a key character returns in the series' penultimate episode, both the aliens and the humans they love face a critical decision.
TheDawson's Creekcomparison is also valid in an undesirable way: many of the background songs that characterized the series have been replaced for DVD due to licensing expenses. Newcomers to the series, of course, probably won't notice. Four episodes have commentary tracks, two by Frakes, who has some interesting information but leaves dead air and introduces characters we already know. Better are the tracks by executive producer/writer Ronald D. Moore on theBewitchedspoof and by creator Jason Katims on the series finale. Other features are a 13-minute summary of the season and Shiri Appleby's appearance on Japanese TV to publicize the DVD release of the first season in 2004.--David Horiuchi

His facial expression is so expressive, you just want to carry him around with you wherever you go, otherwise he'll look so sad! lol! My only concern was the way the item was shipped. It was shipped in a simple bubble envelope and it was rather nerveracking opening it. I was afraid if I were to use scissors to open it, that I would cut the item, and if I were to just tear the bubble mailer open by hand, I was afraid that I was going to tear the fabric on it in half as well. So maybe a bigger envelope or a box would have been more practical. But other than that, great service, amazing product!』
(happy) 『this to is pretty good for the simple fact if your a final fantasy fan it looks likes like the frontal hairpiece is glooded on but overall a goo toy.』

(AHHHH could be better) 『ok so heres the thing his shoulder thing came off his sword arm threatens to pop off and he has a hard time holding his sword other then those things hes GREAT』
(Cloud 9!) 『This is a great figure, and one I was happy to add to my collection!
The detailing, from his facial expression, to the shades of his hair, to the FFAC costume is extremely good. And then the sword, of course.
Like others, I too am a little disappointed in the fact that the (very cool) sword is too heavy-or his arm is too weak-for him to hold it correctly. I often display it propped in both hands to compensate.
But that is a mild, "I wish," and doesn't make me regret owning the figure in the least. It's a must have for FF fans!』
(Great) 『When I got Cloud out of the box I was happy the detail was very good b/c I was kinda afraid they would miss something and make him not look right.Fans of Final Fantasy will love having this. Never really intended to play with it just pose him against Sephiroth. My problem came when as I had read his left arm is kinda weak so you are limited to the amount of poses with the sword. I put him on the display it came with and when I change his pose on his legs he pops off the display.I am sure with work I can correct this.
Overall fans will enjoy this and maybe kids. Originally I bought to play with my kids but its too nice to do that.』
(This is the figure to buy if you want a Cloud Figure) 『What a wonderful figure; his clothes are really great; straight out of the movie. Some say his arm isn't strong enough to hold the giant sword so I took mine out of the display case, and posed him with his arm up, and the sword in front but up over his head and it is holding. Some remark about the articulation points showing on his arm. Well they show because what he wears in the movie has his arm showing so to be true to Cloud they made him exactly like the movie hence the pose able arm showing too. I would never play with my figure and in no way would my 5 grandchildren, but it would be sturdy enough for children to play with. This figure is perfect to represent my Final Fantasy VII game as I have one with his bike to represent the movie characters.』 『Imported from Japan! (Final Fantasy XI) 『The book was shipped in a timely fashion, and in very good condition. I am pleased with the product and would be willing to buy from the seeler again.』
(Excellent for begginers) 『A great choice for begginers, though most of the game itself is self-taught and making friends always helps to move things along... Excellent purchase for me.』
(Use the Internet Instead) 『For one of my favorite games, I really don't like to bash it like this. However, this guide was, and is even moreso now 3 years later, pathetic. Back in the day, it was decent, but the lack of maps, real strategy for quests and the exclusion of things including skill caps for crafting really killed this. Not to mention there are only strategies listed for missions until you reach Rank 5. There's still 5 more levels to be reached afterwards.
To add insult to injury, there's nothing on any of the expansions, and at the time of this guide's release, Rise of the Zilart had already been released, yet there was no mention of the Zilart missions here. While it's understandable there wasn't anything for Chains, Treasures, or Wings, they still could've included something for this, let alone continuing the trend of releasing new volumes of the guide quarterly to keep players up to speed, but alas.
There is no mention of Dynamis, Beseiged or Sky, as well as guides for Level Limit Breaks.
I've come to love Brady Games and, while I do get some help out of this guide, I would much rather use a website like Killing Ifrit, Allakhazam, or FFXIclopedia.
***3 stars for occsional usefulness***』

YES the game is updated beyond this version, YES the information is inaccurate, but this guide has saved me tons of trouble, time, and effort for BASIC beginner information such as LVLs of Magic, Armor, Weapons, and Weapon Skills. As with "the other two books, this was well written and J. Gregory Keys did a great job inserting his vision Bester's life into the B5 universe. No plot spoilers from me, the story is set after most of the events found in the B5 TV series. There are a lot of references to characters in the series that really play no direct part in the books other than as tie ins for the story line. There is also a lot more of Garibaldi seen in this book and I think Keys did an excellent job of capturing his personality for the story. The overall plot is believable, as set in the B5 universe (and for SciFi).
This was a good conclusion to the series and I don't feel like there were any loose ends left at the end.
Recommended for fans of B5! Just a quick note about the other two books in the series, they also mention events and people that appear in the B5 TV series so anyone new to the story will find it hard to relate to some of the references.』
(Excellent work of G. Keyes) 『Not only the story was faithful to the TV series, but the psychology of the characters was so well represented and respected that I could see Walter Koenig in my mind as I read the lines in this book. The sarcasm and superiority Bester speaks with during the TV show that Walter represented so impressively well, can be found in each and every line of these dialogues. That also goes for Mr. Garibaldi, but being Bester such a complex character, it caught my attention immediately that I could picture Walter as in B5 when I read the book. I'm not a big fan of books and reading, but there's no other choice for those of us who cannot live without B5. Please dont hesitate to get this book, you're gonna love it.』
(Stayed up too late, Had to know the end) 『This third book about the psi corps is very good because it ties up all the little threads that were in the first 2. Plus it made a monster into a man and you could see the truth of the winners writing history. History would have been very different if Bestor had won. I took a star away from this one because there are still some technical writing errors.』
(The Fate of Bester) 『Three two prior books in this collection have been outstanding.
This book is no different. It is excellent work, the only thing that may dissapoint you is the continuation from the previous books. The first two books cover the beginning of the resistance and the birth and experience of Alfred Bester.
The third book starts after the Psi-Corps Civil war when Alfred is on the run. A major story-line has been skipped, but not to worry though, there are a few references to the war in this book.』
(An Excellent Portrayal of Bester - an Excellent Book) 『Alfred Bester, played by Walter Koenig, was one of the best "bad guys" on the TV show. His flat sense of humor showed a darker side to him - a side that we became quite familiar with during his forays onto the station. Yet there was always a sense of tenderness underneath the character, a glimpse of someone whose heart wasn't blackened by the hatred he felt for those who aimed to hurt him. This book explores that side of Mr. Bester. The side that wanted to come out from the dark recesses of his soul, and smile at the simple beauty of life. Mr. Bester is eighty-two at this point in his life, on the run from his nemesis Mr. Garibaldi, and beginning to feel tired at the prospect or repeating his hiding cycles for too much longer. Yes, Mr. Garibaldi is still trying to catch up with Mr. Bester - to visit his endless thirst for vengeance for what Bester had done to him in order to have Sheridan betrayed. The story attacks the plot, initially, from the vantage point of both of these individuals. Towards the end, a police inspector is added to the mix of vantage points - to help play a good old-fashioned morale to the plot. An excellent read and the best of the Babylon 5 novels that I have read to this point.』 『 For Alfred Bester, "the Corps was mother, the Corps was father." But now, his Corps was doomed . . .
Under the ruthless command of Alfred Bester, Psi Corps's reign of terror reached unspeakable new heights--and touched off a civil war among the telepaths. Corps minions fought renegade defectors--a new resistance movement determined to overthrow Bester's monstrous regime. But the tide was destined to turn . . .
Interstellar Alliance President John Sheridan intervenes to stop the bloodshed as a new Psi Corps rises from the ashes. Its first mission: to hunt down and neutralize war criminals, individuals such as Bester himself. Once feared across the galaxy, the dreaded hunter becomes the fleeing prey--with Michael Garibaldi in hot pursuit.
Underground and on the run, Bester builds a new life on the ruins of his secret, sinister past. But as the forces of justice--and vengeance--close in, he must confront the hell he created, choose between surrender or survival at any cost, and prepare to make his final stand . . .
There is nothing as dangerous as a predator who has been cornered and has nothing left to lose.
The stunning finale to the new epic trilogy that uncovers the secret history of the Psi Corps. 』

(Fun and interesting, but not perfect) 『Ring of Fates for the DS is a solid title, but not flawless. The game provides a visual experience that surpasses many DS titles, however this is both a pro and a con for the game. Although the graphics are intriguing at times, those moments are overshadowed by the jagged polygons that make up the characters' bodies. For me, this isn't too much of an issue. Moving on, the game itself is enjoyable. Gameplay is fairly simple but I didn't find it too childish or basic. The occasional attempts at older-crowd humor, such as when the main character claims he is almost "adulterous", didn't amuse me. Playing the game can be a little tricky; I haven't quite figured out how to juggle the stylus while also using the buttons on both sides of the DS. I'm hesitant to touch the screen in-game with my finger, but that might be the best method. The game in itself is not difficult, however. In fact, navigating through the puzzles on the various maps requires more thought and focus than any battling I've faced in the game. The battles are fun, though. It's almost a relief to whack at a boss, running circles around it, without the pressure of fearing an immediate character death. Ultimately, Ring of Fates is a relatively simple game with a decent story. For casual gamers or those who prefer games that aren't too complex yet enjoy a storyline, this is a solid choice.』

Also, the book has WAAAY too many pages. (2) There is hardly any tutorial at all, even before you found out that the book explained how to move. I died at the very first enemy. Lame... (3) Lack of Healing items for HP and MP. There is hardly any HP healing items and HP healing depends on MP which you don't have any healing items for either. And messing with the codes uses up MP (which you need to heal yourself with). There are so many times which I died simply because there was no way to heal myself and monsters respawn too fast and have too much HP. (4) It is not obvious how much HP and MP you have left. The leafy vines that represent them are too vague. You have to click many times on the book in order to find out how close you are to dying. (5) Getting lost in endless screens of similar maps. There is no clear direction on where you need to go and most of the time, you are wandering aimlessly on maps with monsters waiting to kill you. (6) Codes were a novelty at first, but after the first hour or so, it gets annoying when you run out of space to put them. And messing around with them costs MP which you don't have. (7) Puzzles are annoying after a while. How many times do I have to hit switches? (Even in the sword training room, I had to hit switches. What has sword training got to do with switches?) At least for Zelda, the switches are placed in strategic spots. For this, it is just hit this switch and hit that switch...over and over again.
Overall, I found this game to be tedious. I wanted to stop playing after about 4 hours. Which was a pity, as it was generally the sort of game I would have liked. Give it a go if you are really free, but I would recommend renting it first.』
(Avalon Code) 『I love playing it. I do it for enjoyment and relaxing, but it's also challenging.』
(Not bad, although flawed) 『Most of the complaints you'll hear about this game are valid. The Book of Prophecy, while certainly a great concept, becomes tedious when you have to look through hundreds of pages to find a single code. The game spends a good chunk of its first part teaching you to use it, making for one extremely long, drawn-out tutorial that still manages to miss certain things, like how to use codes to hit colored switches. The lack of hit points means you'll die a lot, although you barely lose anything when you die, making it little more than an annoyance. The writing is a bit stilted and lacking; early in the game, a woman traps you in her basement, and after you escape, if you return to talk to her... nothing happens. Your character just ignores the whole attempted imprisonment thing. While each small area has its own map, the lack of a larger map to unify them makes navigation difficult. The fact that there are little things hidden in the maps, like plants or small creatures, is a nice addition, but searching for those little tidbits can be infuriating.
These are all relatively flaws, and they chip away at what would otherwise be an excellent game. Avalon Code's ability to mess with the fabric of reality, while not as cool as it sounds, really comes into force when customizing weapons, items, and enemies. Yes, that's right; if your enemy has too many hitpoints, chances are he has a Stone or Iron code you can remove to make him weaker. Also, the Book of Prophecy is used to give almost everything backstory and flavor text, making the game feel really open and alive in your hands. The level of control you have, given the limits of the medium, is pretty cool. I'd say I had more fun exploring, filling up the book, and messing with codes to create new items than I did with the game's actual plot. Rather than rehashing or retreading old ground, Avalon Code presents this as its core concept, and comes out the stronger for it.
Avalon Code is a good game, although bogged down by minor issues that keep it from being a great game. Hopefully, these could be fixed in a sequel someday, but until then, this is a nice little gem of a game that I'd say is worth picking up.』
(Tedious bosses ruined the game for me!) 『I thought this would be a fun game but after playing the game, it sucked...hard. I know a game has to be challenging sometimes but there is a difference between challenging and tedious. The Second boss was the FINAL straw. He was aggravating, it doesn't make any sense to make a boss that can't be beaten. It doesn't make sense for me to spend 10 minutes on ONE boss just to beat him. Some games have bosses that can be beaten 6 times. I also HATED the point system. It doesn't also help that the makers didn't have info on how many points it takes for a boss to be beaten. The boss also would jump in the air and you don't know where he would fly, he always flys towards the character and kills her. That was when I had given up on the game.
This game was not user friendly at all.』
(Creative idea, but it has its frustrating points) 『I picked up Avalon Code after trying a short demo version. The idea of playing around with the "codes", being able to choose the gender of your character, and naturally getting a boy/girlfriend, all sounded appealing. Overall, I found Avalon Code to be an addicting, enjoyable game. There's always something new to discover, and I've played through several times already, both as a girl and a boy. The graphics are very well done, and I love all of the characters' and monsters' designs. The cutscenes,if you get as attached to the characters as I did, are very emotional. Avalon Code combines my two favorite kinds of games, puzzles and RPGs, into one! The most frustrating aspect of the game is, as others have mentioned, finding the codes. I would also suggest carefully reading the instruction manual before hand, and getting hints from your Spirit guide as often as possible.』 『Is a dream an alternate reality? Is it reality itself? The Story From out of nowhere as you look around and all you see a crimson sky. You stand high atop a tower looking down upon a world consumed by flames. An old man beside you opens his mouth and speaks:
“Time has expired for this world, but the records of this book shall create the next...”
Suddenly your eyes snap open and you jump out of bed, covered in sweat, but not necessarily surprised. It was only a dream, but unfortunately an all too familiar and frightening dream that you’ve been having quite often lately. Dazed, your sleep-filled eyes wander about the room as they always do when you wake, but something is different this time. There is a book atop the desk, a book full of blank pages. But this no empty tome. It seems that a spirit of sorts named "Rempo" is bound to this book and as you are drawn closer it enlightens you on the nature of the book you behold. It is known as the "Book of Prophecy" and upon the insistence of the spirit, you leave on a journey to to fill its pages and in the process make an impact on the world, the likes of which you never could have foreseen.Gameplay The connection between your dream as the main character and the book you are shown by Rempo is that the world has been slated for destruction, but only temporarily. The powers that be intend to recreate what they destroy, but require a blueprint for this, which is the purpose of the book. It is your job to seek out all the things that are to be recreated and note them in the book. But nothing is so straightforward in an RPG. There are forces in the world that would keep you from your appointed task. You must foil them by using the book itself.Although the Book of Prophecy does serve as a storage device, it is much more than that. It is player's main tool, having a part in almost every aspect of the game. It takes a comprehensive snapshot of whatever it comes in contact with. This can be things as different and disconnected as a blade of grass and a sword. But as this is happens players will see that nothing is quite what it appears. All items are made up of a collection of attributes, many of which go unnoticed in their natural state. Once broken done into their separate pieces and laid out in the book, not unlike LEGO in the hands of a child or genes under the microscope of a scientist, these can recombined as the player sees fit to alter the strengths and weakness of enemies, solve puzzles, etc. Another added gameplay element that players will enjoy relates to the gender of the playable hero/heroine they choose. Although the beginning scenarios faced by either will be very similar, their end points may be quite different, allowing for hours of extra game time and replayability.Key Game Features:

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Ok, but...) 『I wanted to like this game. I love the FF franchise, so I pre-ordered this game sight unseen. I figured that the games would be decent at the very least. Now after playing it, I wish I'd waited&gotten a previously used copy.
So here's the good&bad of the game, starting with the good. The style is beautiful. I really liked the character designs&the storyline is pretty decent. I liked that I could create my own character&I liked that there were preset names for any additional party members I made. (I could still make up my own names, though.) There's lots of levels&there's also some chances to get some exp for your players.
Now the bad. No pause function. Yep, that's right. For some bizarre strange reason, Square Enix decided to make a portable game that has NO PAUSE FUNCTION. This ended badly for me on many occasions where I had to put down my game to do necessary errands or whatever- I had to pretty much either pray that I was at a place where I wouldn't get attacked or I had to just turn the game off&restart it later. Oh, and that brings me to another bad point of the game. Save points. You have to go to a specific thing in order to get it to save&there's no such thing as a quick save- if you have to walk away from the game, you have to restart from the last save point. Gee, how nice of Square to not only make a game that can't be paused, but we don't even have to capability to do a quick save&at least pick up where we last left off. That really irritated me because that meant a lot of going over the same steps over&over again. What's the use of having this as a portable game if the game forces you to pretty much sit for hours&hope that you aren't interrupted? (Sheesh, I could've just gotten the wii version with all of this hassle.) While I could've dealt with the no pause thing, the infrequent save points just irked me. I mean, whenever you go into a new dungeon you are unable to save your game until you get to the point just before the big boss. If it was a non-portable system I wouldn't have as much of a problem just leaving it up for a few hours until I could get back to it. But on a portable system? It's a major irritation.
The other bad thing is that the game play is clunky. I know I'm not the most skilled player, but the controls were just clumsy. And that's not even counting my AI players getting in the way. I'd go to pick up something&guess what? My teammate would ever so helpfully block my way, causing me to pick them up rather than the item. Or if I was lucky, the item would land on their head&it meant that I'd have to continuously pick my teammate up&throw them across the room until the item fell off of them. (Ok, so I could've switched over to them&had them pick up the item, but at that point I was so irritated with them that I just wanted to sling them across the room a few times.) Then you've got buttons for several same things- at several points in the game I tried to push blocks&things, only to then have my character jump on top of them. (The button is the same for both.) When I wanted to jump on said blocks, I'd end up pushing them. It was just FRUSTRATING. This isn't even including the times my teammates liked to jump off of cliffs or jump on/into dangerous areas. I'd say that it was like babysitting a pack of 3 year olds, but even toddlers know to stay out of burning hot lava¬ to jump on top of a bunch of stationary spikes.
Now when the game isn't irritating the living heck out of me, it wasn't a bad game. It's fun enough to play when it's not ticking you off. Unfortunately it just seems to do that a lot. A heck of a lot. So much so that I thought I'd have more fun taking a hammer to the cartridge. (I didn't, but the temptation was there.)
I really wanted to like this game, but I just got too irritated by it. If you can get a previously played copy of this game, go for it. It's worth playing through once, but it's not worth paying full price for. (If you can get it from a friend, that's the best way of doing it!) I had originally wanted to give this a 3, but after some reflecting I just can't. It wasn't that much fun&there's been far better put out in the FF franchise. 』
(Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time) 『Bought this game for my daughter. She seems to really like it. She is able to play it online with her brother which is kind of cool. The only complaint I hear from them is the game lags a little when online. Otherwise she really likes it.』
(Great game) 『As someone who primarily played this on single player mode, I didn't find the game to be as bad as other people described! I could see how this game would be a little easier to play if you had multiple people accompanying you, but I had no problem doing the puzzles by myself. The AI was a little annoying at times, but I only wanted my extra party members to primarily fend off annoying enemies, and for that purpose they were fine. While some of the controls were a little difficult, I found that this didn't detract from the game experience as a whole at all. The story itself was slightly cutesy, but seeing that it's a Square Enix game for a Nintendo system, that didn't surprise me. The graphics were really great on the DS, and the voice acting was decent (which is rare for many video games). I thought the game itself flowed really well and the dungeons were at just the right level of difficulty. I also really appreciated the quests you could go on and how many options there were for weapons, armor, and accessories. My only complaint was that the game was too short! Before I knew it, I had beaten the game and I felt like I deserved a few more dungeons or a few more enemies to beat down. Though the New Game+ is always a great feature, I wish the game itself lasted a bit longer.』
(Quite Underrated!) 『First and foremost, Echoes of Time is made for multiplayer. If you don't have any friends with a DS, or if you do not have an internet connection, I cannot and shall not recommend getting this game. Just don't do it.
Over the course of a few hours my friend and I cleared the first five dungeons in this game, and with each puzzle and each bout came potent satisfaction and enjoyment. It's easy to get caught up in the hitches of a game like Echoes of Time, but too often do reviewers lose perspective. I cannot think of a more enjoyable multiplayer title for this platform, and it's quite a shame that this game has gotten a such bad rap. I would never deny that Echoes of Time has its share of hang-ups, but the only issue I've truly been bothered by are the framerate dips, which do arise in too many situations. But what I urge you, the reader, to keep in mind, is why you enjoy playing video games in the first place. If you like hack n' slash games, the Crystal Chronicles franchise, or simply have friends who you play DS with, you are sure to have a blast with Echoes of Time. It controls well (I very strongly disagree with the reviewer who stated otherwise), and the gameplay is efficiently balanced between puzzle solving, platforming, and combat. You can team up with other players locally or online, either of which is infinitely superior to playing by yourself. The AI, as I'm sure you've already read, is abysmal. It's better to avoid the issue all together and play with another person.
