Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A very enjoyable and lovely soundtrack) 『I have come across final fantasy piano soundtracks just a few years ago and I enjoy them very much. As a piano player, I only used to practice classical music but since I have bought these I have expanded my repertoire. They are very lovely to hear and enjoyable to practice. Each time I play them I develop more and more attachments towards the characters and appreciate the people who made them possible.』
(Easy on the ears) 『I love Final Fantasy...and I probably love the music even more. This particular selection of arrangements is a little hit and miss though. Some tunes, like Aerith's Theme and the Main Theme, are quite magical. Others sadly, just don't really work as piano music e.g. Bombing Mission and J-E-N-O-V-A. The piano collections do get better.....FFVIII and FFX are just wonderful. But for the purposes of completing the collection, you could do worse than pick up FFVII while your at it!』
(Track Listing) 『Here's the track listing.
1.Tifa's Theme 2.FFVII Main Theme 3. Cinco De Chocobo 4. Ahead on Our Way 5. Those Who Fight 6. Valley of the Fallen Star 7. The Golden Saucer 8. Farm Boy 9. Rufus' Welcoming Ceremony 10. J-E-N-O-V-A 11. Aerith's Theme 12. One-Winged Angel 13. Descendent of Shinobi 』
(Pure remake heaven) 『This is one excellent CD. From the remake of the overworld music, to the Cosmo Canyon, to the surprisingly well done remake of One Winged Angel, if you are a fan of any of the Final Fantasy piano collections this is NOT one to miss.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (worthless, thought i'd see horror not porn) 『this movie wasn't scary at all, except seeing how old the women look just 5 years out of college. there was one 'reunion' shot where there were some like 60 year old women, luckily they didn't show their breasts. plus, enough with the strangulation, horror movies don't have stranglers dressed like ninjas. i actually checked this out from the library and found myself wondering who does the movie selection for them. i probably would have liked it if i'd seen it on skinemax when i was like 15.』
(sequel = necessary) 『i heard they were coming out with the sequel soon which will be titled, "Oral Examination." supposed to be even better than the first!』
(probably the worst movie i ever seen in years) 『this movie is totall junk, bad act, bad plot, bad actress, even the nude and sex scenes are annoying. this tile should go directly go tho garbage can. keep your money and stay away from this crap.』
(What a DUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not waste your time!) 『This must be one of the worst movies this yr-poorly acted, terrible plot, lousy actors, and very perdictable. I admit I rented this movie to see some shots of Kari Wuhrer but I did not see any-just 5 other babes who could not act at all-this looked like a movie made by Playboy productions-plenty of bare breasted chicks but no substance. What was Kari Wuhrer doing in this flop? At least she can act somewhat but in this one she seemed way above the rest of the cast because even her below par performance was far better than anyone else. In addition there were no shots of her in this movie which added to the disappointment--don't try this movie-you will be very disappointed if you are a Kari Wuhrer fan-the fox did not show it at all----』
(FLUNKED WITH A CAPITAL F) 『Disjointed....predictable..derivative. Those are just a few of the adjectives I attach to this sub-par slasher flick. The director had these five"babes"so to speak, so he had to make sure they each got their nude scene accompanied by lounge lizard music. They caress their bodies, play with their boobies and do all kinds of stupid things, just to show off their anatomical gifts. It's so poorly done that it's not the least bit titillating, pardon the pun. Add to this that not one of the ladies can act (Debbie Rochon is as usual repulsive in her attempts). Kari Wuhrer and Brent Huff as the cops should be ashamed of themselves for participating in this quickie. The plot is as predictable as they come and the extra twists at the end are only good for snickers. If slasher films continue to degenerate into pablum like this clunker, the genre should be retired. R.I.P.』 『A secluded tropical hideaway becomes a serial killer's site for revenge when four beautiful girls arrive for their five-year college reunion of sorority sisters and succumb to gruesome murders, one by one. Now, it is up to two local police detectives to track down the killer before the next victim is killed, and they must figure out what dark secret ties the victims together.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (final fantasy) 『if you see that i gave it only a 4 stars, it's because i feel it's just a next step up. remember vhs to dvd.
don't get me wrong i love the movie, but when you have a home collection with more then 1,000 dvd, and now you have to replace them with blu-ray. and it has taken me about 12 yrs to collect. i just hope they don't come out with another format, then i have to start all over again lol.』
(Convoluted story with an ambiguous ending) 『This is a very dark animated film, in which a remnant of humans are fighting aliens - and each other - to survive. On the one hand, you have a band of idealists, who believe that the Earth has a spirit that can be used to fight the invaders (whose true nature remains a mystery). They seek spirit essences of some sort, which when united might save humanity. On the other hand, there are militarists who see no reason to believe any of this; their ultimate weapon threatens to destroy the Earth's spirit, Gaia.
From this somewhat promising premise, the story becomes both a confusing shootout (it is unclear if the enemy aliens die and how to fight them) and a political struggle that becomes extremely deadly. At least for me, I could not quite forget that I was watching something made up - I never suspended my disbelief and gave myself over to it. The risks and ambitions just get bigger and bigger, the scenarios more outlandish and desperate and ultimate. By the end, it had nearly completely lost me.
One thing that is good, in my view, is that the outcome remains unexplained and ambiguous. The viewer is not told what happened and what it means, which is nice in that it leaves a lot to the imagination, which is the mark of all quality sci-fi. However, I found the characters boringly two-dimensional and the plot unoriginal, in spite of the good special effects. I assume that the product shoudl stand on its own, as I am not a gamer, and for me it barely did.
I would not recommend this except to those who like this world because of their familiarity with the game or because they want a simple adventure. It is not for hard sci-fi fans.』
(CGI Animation Done Right!) 『Long before James Cameron started pimping his Avatar epic, Square Pictures pioneered the world's first full-length photorealistic CGI animated movie. This was based on the hit video game franchise of the same name, although the movie took a more sci-fi approach as apposed to the more high fantasy that most of the earlier games.
Taking place on a post-apocalyptic Earth(that's right, not Ivalice!)in the mid-21st Century, Aki Ross is a scientist who is trying to collect eight seperate spirits, which when combined will create an energy field that will rid the planet of an alien force. The invaders are creatures referred to as Phantoms, which are ghostlike monsters that literally suck the souls out of people. This happened after a meteor crashed on Earth decades earlier, and the Phantoms spread throughout the world and killed off most of the humans. The survivors live in specially shielded cities, who have built a giant oribiting cannon to blast the alien meteorite and save the planet. But Sid, the scientist who created the special Phantom-proof shields, realizes that this might cause the aliens' spirit to take over the Earth's spirit known as Gaia, which would destroy all life. Sid along with Aki are enlisted the help of the special military squad of Deep Eyes, the commander of which is Aki's old boyfriend, Gray. They try to find the remaining spirits, however the vengeful General Hein is plotting to destroy the Phantoms at any cost.
The Spirits Within was the precursor to several other computer animated films that attempted to have the characters(human or otherwise)appear as real as possible, such as Beowulf, Kaena: The Prophecy, Resident Evil: Degeneration, and Negadon. The animation was virtually years ahead of its time, which might have worked towards its disadvantage as some people were possibly just not ready for that kind of advancement in cinema. Granted, it might seem pretty common by today's standards, but when this came out in 2001 it was groundbreaking, and even busts the chops of some of the more recent digital animation.
Of course the biggest gripe most people had was that it had very little to do with any of the actual Final Fantasy games. Most fans of the series expected guys with gravity-defying hair riding on Chocobos and swinging colossally huge swords around. However, the movie offered a compelling sci-fi/action/drama which managed to incorporate most of the better attributes that the games had, mainly brilliant character development and a compelling plot. It truly is an exceptionally great film, and worth a second look for those who are willing to see past the fanboy hatred.』
(MAGNIFICENT AND BREATH-TAKING 9.5 OUT OF 10) 『It's a shame that this film didn't do as well as it should have. It didn't do very well in terms of critical response (44% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and a 49 out of 100 on Metacritic), it was a box office bomb to the point of where Square Enix kicked the film's director and producer Hironobu Sakaguchi (The creator of the Final Fantasy game franchise) to the curb, and some people have been popping up who proclaim it to be "the worst video game movie ever!" Surprisingly, one of the biggest defenders of the film was film critic Roger Ebert who I hate greatly for a number of reasons. Roger Ebert handed the film a 3.5 out of 4-star rating and didn't believe people would understand the film. I believe Square Enix reacted a little too quickly to fire the creator of Final Fantasy, which I believe was a big mistake. And to those of you who think this is the worst video game film ever, clearly you've never sat through an Uwe Boll travesty, have you? Not to mention, most scores on different sites that I've researched, beg to differ on such a proclamation. I loved this film, it was an amazing cinematic accomplishment in terms of CGI and sci-fi action films. It may not have the most original storyline, but it does pull you in to a certain extent. WHAT IT'S ABOUT: Year: 2065, thirty-four years previously, a mysterious alien forced called Phantoms invaded the Earth and destroyed most of the life on Earth by stealing the spirits of their victims. Now the planet is overrun with the Phantoms. Dr. Aki Ross is a woman struggling with a Phantom parasite inside of her body and suffers from strange dreams she cannot explain. She goes around the planet trying to find eight spirits which, when all eight are collected, will destroy the Phantoms. With the help of the Deep Eyes Squadron and her mentor, Dr. Sid they search the planet to find the seventh and the most important eight spirit. But they face troubles with the military, and the military unknowingly is about to destroy Gaia (Earth's spirit) and let the planet become overrun with the Phantoms. Now Aki and the team must stop this from happening and destroy the Phantoms at their source. MUSIC: This music is simply amazing. It fit the mood well and was extremely well-written and composed. I have absolutely no gripes with this area at all, the music is stunning to put it bluntly. ACTION: This film a feast for the eye. The CGI is staggering and beautiful in every way... and this film came out eight years ago! Nothing competes with this film's CGI, not even Pixar films! The action scenes are wonderful and totally awesome in every regard. The film starts off slow, but then the film goes off with a bang and doesn't stop till the end. It gets the blood and adrenaline pumping and refuses to let go. This is how a Star Wars animated flick should be, not the disastrous Star Wars: The Clone Wars (Widescreen Edition) (Let's just try and pretend that never happened). Quite simply, this sci-fi flick is kickass. ACTING: Although not all these actors are recognizable, their performances are really good, even though there are some moments of questionable dialogue. This film may not have the most compelling characters, but they do their job well and they do move the storyline along quite well. Overall, this area is really good. OVERALL: If you love sci-fi flicks, CGI films, or just love awesome films in general, you must see this film because it will blow you away in just about every way. THE GOOD: Stunning CGI animation, awesome action scenes, good acting, and great music. THE BAD: The storyline doesn't quite live up to the potential and there are moments of awkward dialogue.』
(Definitely a gamers' movie) 『Beautiful colors and brilliant animation with excellent voicings.
That's it. That's about all you can say about this rewarmed pot-boiler. Hackneyed plot, nonexistent character development, unsatisfying conclusion.
This is a film that will appeal to gamers and fans of anime. Everyone else can find better use for their ticket money.』 『Earth is a desolate wasteland inFinal Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Humanity has been decimated by an invasion of Phantoms, insubstantial aliens that extract and devour the spirits of living things. The few remaining humans have retreated to a handful of cities that are protected by massive bio-energy shields. The beautiful Dr. Aki Ross (voiced by Ming-Na) and her mentor Dr. Sid (Donald Sutherland) have discovered that the energy signatures of eight key Earth spirits can cancel out and destroy the Phantoms. With the help of Captain Edwards (Alec Baldwin) and his band of marines, they must scour the globe for the last two remaining spirits before General Hein (James Woods) manipulates the refugee government into attacking the aliens with an orbital laser that may also destroy the Earth.
Hironobu Sakaguchi's film is taken from the popularFinal Fantasyvideo game franchise, which is particularly well suited to film adaptation with its series of original stories, but the movie features entirely new characters and settings. And likeToy StoryandShrek,Final Fantasy: The Spirits Withinis completely computer generated. Unlike those cartoon comedies, though,The Spirits Withinis a serious science fiction drama with astonishingly human digital actors. Aki, the female lead, appeared in a full-page spread inMaximmagazine's Hot 100 list--and was indistinguishable from the real-life models. The setting and conflict make for incredible action, but it's the larger issues, character interaction, and human elements that really make the movie shine. The Spirits Withinis not simply a science fiction movie, in the same way thatCrouching Tiger, Hidden Dragonis not simply a kung fu flick. The result is a fantastic summer movie with better action and more emotion thanPearl Harbor, and actors more lifelike than those in that other video game movie,Tomb Raider.--Mike Fehlauer』

The main charactor is played by Jennifer Morrison (STIR OF ECHOS) and she has an idea of making a horror movie about a serial killer who's murders are based on Urban Legends . . . but someone is killing off her cast and crew. In this movie nobody is safe and everybody is a suspect. This is an above average slasher movie with a reasonably good cast. The only problem I had with this movie was that, with the exception of the first death (which was also the best and the only gory in one in the movie), I hadn't actually heard of any of the "urban legends" before. This didnt't really spoil the movie but I just thought I'd warn people in case you were dissapointed by this. As well as horror this movie also managed some humour which I usually like in a horror movie. The DVD has:>Directors Commentary>Making-of and Behind-the-Scenes Featurette>Theatrical Trailer>Deleted Scenes Overall an enjoyable movie which I recommend for fans of horror.』
(A Perfect Sequel) 『i loved this movie it is the entry in the urban legend series i love every single urban legend so much i recommended this movie highly!』
(Urban Legend 2) 『The scene on the bathtub alone makes the movie worth a look. The lead is great (Jennifer Morrison, from 'House M.D.'); cinematography and music are also appropriate. Not very original and the killer's revelation at the end is kinda dumb, though. Still, worthy sequel. Too bad UL3 (Bloody Mary) was awful beyound words and has nothing to do with either UL or UL2.』
(Good, But Definitetly Far From Great!!) 『I was excited to see "Urban Legends: Final Cut" because I remember seeing a commercial for it on television, yet never remembering its name. I found it here on Amazon, and I remembered instantly the commercial.
Okay. The storyline was good, but it was pretty badly played out. I mean, the deaths were good, but started to deteriorate throughout the entire movie. The first death was incredible, but then it just got boring and unoriginal.
The acting was good, I thought, and the killer was VERY mysterious and VERY creepy and original. I don't think a killer actually SCARED me before, but the costume in this movie was actually very mysterious and kind of freaky.
It was cool to see some of the most infamous urban legends played out in this movie, like the "people can lick too" story. No wonder the movie is called Urban Legends!!
Overall, this was an okay movie, which was good, but it was cheesy and very unoriginal and kind of boring at some parts. But it is definitely worth a try!』
(A Very Good Sequel) 『This movie is an excellent follow-up to the original "Urban Legend".
The story centers around several film production students who attend the prestigious Alpine University film school; called "the best film school in the world" by one of the school's professors. Travis, the school's top student, has just turned in a sub-par thesis film for which he receives a low grade. Amy Mayfield (JenniferMorrison) has decided to do her thesis film about a fictional campus serial killer who kills his victims by using urban legends. She brings her idea before her film professor and he seems to think that its an excellent idea. Both Amy and Travis are vying for the all-important Hitchcock film award, which carries a $15,000 prize and a virtual guarantee of a Hollywood film career.
Amy begins working on her project, and all seems to be going well initially until, mysteriously, students begin to turn up missing and, eventually, dead. The students have been killed by using urban legends, just as Amy has in her film. Additionally, Travis has killed himself in despair over his low grade, but someone stole Travis' original film and took credit for themselves.
Meanwhile, Trevor, Travis' twin brother, has come to Alpine to help solve Travis' death. Trevor doesn't believe that Travis killed himself, so, with Amy's help, the two begin searching for answers. Meanwhile, more students have been killed by the serial killer. Will Travis and Amy solve the murders before the killer reaches them?
This is a surprisingly good movie. The plot is excellent and it keeps you guessing right up to the end as to who the killer is. There are several suspects revealed throughout the film, but the killer's identity isn't revealed until the end. It was fun for me trying to figure out who the killer was. Of course, no horror movie would be complete without blood and guts, and this movie has plenty of both.
I recommend this movie very highly. No one is safe and everyone is a suspect. The story is well-conceived and the viewer will be kept guessing until the shocking conclusion.』 『WhileUrban Legends: Final Cutis not nearly as terrifying or inventive as some of its predecessors, the film does offer up a fairly suspenseful whodunit that fans of the teen horror genre will likely appreciate. Amy Mayfield, the film's heroine (played by fresh-faced Jennifer Morrison), is the daughter of an Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker trying to make a name for herself at Alpine University, "the greatest film school that ever existed." Along with several other students she is competing for the coveted Hitchcock award, which virtually guarantees the winner a successful career in Hollywood. When the film school's resident genius and likely winner of the award is found dead, suspicions arise. As other film students are killed off one by one, everyone becomes a suspect. Would someone kill to win the prestigious award?
While striving to be Hitchcockian in theme (as evidenced by its multiple references to the director himself), the film never quite moves beyond cliché. Many scenes are a little too reminiscent of other popular teen horror flicks likeScream(the anonymous masked killer, though not nearly as frightening),The Blair Witch Project(Amy is chased through desolate woods by her stalker), andFriday the 13th(Amy hides from the killer in a lake setting eerily similar to the one where Jason died so many years ago). These elements seem just a little worn out. Morrison gives a serviceable performance, and Loretta Devine, from the originalUrban Legend, adds humor as a Foxy Brown-worshiping security guard. The film manages to keep you guessing until its conclusion, and a sequence set in an abandoned amusement park is truly creepy. But ultimatelyUrban Legends: Final Cutlacks the originality to make a name for itself among the many films of its genre.--Mindy Ruehmann』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Phase 6 of "Final Fantasy", a nice collection of anime.) 『I had to purchase the next phase to keep my collection going. Artwork getting better.』
(Interesting beginning, get more interesting moving forward, disappointing ending) 『I have been a Final Fantasy fan since version 1 of the game came out for the NES. I played through all the other FF games and loved each and one of them. Just because they are amazing developing games, it does not mean that they would do well developing movies or anime.
I got the movies through Netflix so I can watch them with my kids when I get home from work and relax. In the beginning of the story, it gave some scenes of war and destruction. The startoff was slow and have some mysteries like who is the adult woman hanging around with the two kids and who is the man with tha ma gun that always seems to show up when they are in trouble. It is very interesting to see what kind of summon comes out of the ma gun on pretty much every single episode, but the summoning takes like 10 minutes. Most of the creatures seems to be from FF7.
As the series go on, it reveal more information about some of the main characters. Toward the end, the plot is revealed but yet the end is disappointing because the watchers are wondered "what happened". It is like going to a roller coaster ride where right toward the end, it just stop and everybody get off.
I originally got the first DVD from the Block Buster bargain bin, and that should have been a flag that this is not really that good. Watch it if you have time to kill, otherwise you might be better off watching other anime like Full Metal Alchemists, Kenshin, etc.
』
(The Final Fatasy Games Maybe Great Bud Sadly This Anime Isn't) 『I bought this set during the X-mas sale online and for $20 dollars I felt it was an o.k. price but after seeing the series through I feel I'm now going to sale this to a movie store. I know the series focused mostly on the two children trying to find their parents but I also thought there would either be some cameos from characters of the games are have some references to the game worlds, sadly there was neither and the animation while not horrible wasn't anything to be proud of either. The voice actors for the Japanese cast did do a great job for their character roles sadly the dubbed English voice cast while not the worst of the lot leave a lot to be desired. Also again with some anime you just don't really feel any empathy for most of these characters, if one was killed or hurt so what? The storyline itself isn't to bad and if you've never played the games and are looking for a unique anime here's a decent one, but if you have played the game and are looking for some kid of reference to the games or game characters you'll be sadly disappointed. So at the end is this series worth getting will that's up to the person themselves, if you're looking for a fantasy anime with magical battles this might pique your interest, but if you're a longtime Fina Fantasy gamer you most likely want to just pass this series over....』
(Found It) 『I had been looking for this disc every where. I couldn't find it on any of the more famous anime vendor websites, nor could I find it in any of my local anime stores. I can't believe that I was able to find this Disc on amazon.com. I happened upon it by chance while searching for other Final Fantasy products and now this will be the first place I look if I ever need a DVD.』
(Don't look for the Game Series in this series...) 『I understand what people have been saying about it not being what they expected. Expectations greatly influence how we perceive products to be. However, this series is incredible. Though it is sometimes cheesy, it manages to have just that right amount to make it wonderful. The music is great, and the characters hilarious. There is not much in common with the FF game series, but when you take this as a separate whole, it doesn't matter. This series is fun, entertaining, appropriate for all ages, and great, as long as you aren't expecting another "Advent Children" out of this.』 『Studio: Adv Films Release Date: 08/23/2005 Run time: 625 minutes』 『Twelve-year-old twins Ai and Yu Hayakawa take a mysterious subway to Wonderland to look for their missing scientist-parents. The first episodes are cluttered with characters who appear briefly then vanish. Although Ai, Yu, and Lisa do a lot of traveling, the series doesn't really go anywhere: the filmmakers seem more interested in showcasing the elaborate CG effects at their disposal than in coherent storytelling. The effects are very flashy, but they never meld satisfactorily with the drawn animation. SPOILER - My favorite stupid plot error; Hey we need weapons so they buy machetes, then kill four cops in full SWAT gear but don't bother to take any of their weapons. Earlier Gil Bellows character knocks a cop out and steals his full uniform, including gun and it goes missing as soon as he gets back in the exterminator's van.』
(More "Bugs" Than Microsoft Vista!) 『A combination of "V", Alien, Soylent Green, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (I'm sure I missed a couple!)just shows that there is nothing new in Hollywood. The acting is...well, okey. However, the main character (Gil Bellows) is just plain sloooow. I think if it were me, I would get a little more excited! Still, all in all, a worthy flick to watch on a slow day.』
(Not bad....) 『This movie is definitely for Sci-fi fans. It is more on the subdued side as opposed to the high octane type, like 'Alien'. However, it is a good story. Fairly formula type: the earth is being invaded by bugs using human skins to blend in in order to get a substance to help their 'race' survive. Humans are expendable. I gave this four stars because it could have easily been shorter. Coming in close to 4 hours with a low key plot... you really have to like this genre to sit through it. But I do like this genre, still think it could have been shorter though. Definitely a family type, low key, not much in the way of violence or strong language or sexual situations. Worth a watch.』
(Daryl Hannah and a host of unknowns...) 『A surprisingly good film, Final Days of Planet Earth brings to the screen the story of an unlikely group of people that have banded together in an effort to uncover a plot that could spell the end of human civilization, as we know it. An archaeologist leads a motley crew of a band who all share something in common: they've all been chosen to become hosts or fertilizer in the service of some very desperate and rather anxious alien life forms... Daryl Hannah being the only well known of the actors disappoints with her performance which seems forced and unnatural, while the rest of the cast carry out their performances pretty well (though nothing great) and establish likable characters. Although it was a pleasure to see the lovely Daryl Hannah again, good acting on her part and a bit of exposure would have been just right... The film doesn't start off that strong, but instead picks up about 20 minutes into the movie. Moreover, in the beginning it's too abstract and difficult to follow, but most of it falls into place soon enough. One thing we're never told is how and why Commander Phillips has such an effect on the baddies... In short, the setting, the music and the acting are pretty good, the action/special effects are just average, the plot is interesting, while the dialogues are rather poor. In a nutshell, it's probably not a movie you would want to add to your collection, but it will provide for an evening's entertainment, and that's about it. 3.5 Stars 』
(Half good (not half bad)) 『I rarely buy a movie I haven't seen, but I bought this thinking that with Daryl Hannah for decoration and Gil Bellows as the lead, it had to be worth $4.99. At the end of part I was thinking "Hey, not bad!", but part II was terrible acting and poor plotting. What finally made it "bad" for me was the "aliens in disguise" business. At first they seemed to be using mind control, but by the end we see Hannah's character jump out of her rubber suit, instantly becoming several sizes too big to have ever been inside the suit. Bellows looked really silly holding Hannah's empty "human suit" and staring up at the giant monster. sigh. At least he didn't actually have sex with her (but he came close!).
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (wouldn't buy from them again!) 『this seller has been on ebay and that is where i bought this outfit. i am a small girl and i bought the smallest size, which i should have had 3inches left on the waist...but there size chart was way off so instead it was a few inches too short, so i told them that and they wanted me to pay for shipping both ways! and i had to tell them NO, it's not my fault your size chart is wrong! i should have had more inches than be short (the top fit just fine but the bottom was way off), luckily i got them to pay shipping for the item to come back to me in the exchange. i had to order two sizes bigger, and still the bottom skirt was too short and i could barely fit into and the top was freaking HUGE! luckily i know how to alter stuff and was able to fix that. but the bottom skirt was horrible, it fit so wrong and hung so wrong. very poorly made. i wish that i could have left negitive feedback on ebay but cuz of their new policy i wasn't able to. very poorly made and measurements are sooo WRONG! so beware! only buy this as a base, be prepared to fix it! to make it better!』 『COMPLETE Yuna Gun Mage Costume Cosplay from Final Fantasy X-2!

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Cool Stuff, Wrong Character) 『Sorry, while this little collection seems neat it is very misleading. The products in the box are actually belonging to Cloud Strife and Vincent Valentine's set. The sword and what looks to be a pin belonging to Cloud, the necklace and I believe the ring as well belonging to Vincent Valentine from Dirge of Cerberus. If you like the items you see, go for it. But if you only want them because you think they're linked to Sephiroth, then make sure not to buy this hoax.』 『Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Sephiroth Ring, Necklace, Pin&Blade Box Set』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Be very careful with his arms!) 『It's a beautiful figure; extremely detailed (all his tiny buckles and zippers are even painted). He comes with interchangeable hands, so you can pose him with his sword, as well as a black stand. His clothing is probably the best part, as it is really accurate to the film with even wrinkled detailing on his pants.
There is only one negative aspect of this figure that is contrary to what other reviewers have said: he is fragile.
The sword is very flimsy and should be handled with care. But the worst part is his arms. They, upon appearance, seem like they bend at the elbow, THEY DON'T. I am always very careful with my figures, to the point that people laugh at how delicately I treat them...yet his arm snapped off. Not at the shoulder; this was a clean break in the plastic at the elbow. I just got him, and trying to move his arm (which seemed posable), I broke it off with hardly any pressure. Fortunately a little super glue and it can't be seen at all. But for a few minutes there, I was quite devastated. Just don't mess with him too much and he should be alright.
I don't know if it was just mine, but anyway, something to keep in mind. He probably wouldn't be a good gift for a child if an adult can accidentally break him when trying to be gentle....
I still gave the product five stars, because it is so well done. It's difficult to find action figures that really stand up to the characters they were made after, and this one does.』
(A Great Gift) 『I already owned Kadaj...and he is truely a wonderful model to display and photograph. He has a great deal of durability and such wonderful details that just couldn't be left alone. He makes an ideal gift for friends and family who are big fans of Final Fantasy VII who may own some other models from the series, and since he poses so well there is little to say against giving him to model lovers too. When I received this package, however, the box inside was slightly damaged. The model inside is intact and no parts are dislodged. The items was well priced and the postage cost was reasonable, although protecting the product could have been better.』
(Perfect!) 『Kadaj is a flawless, beautiful, woderfully crafted action figure. His out-fit is done exactally as seen in the movie; Sword sheith and all! His left arm does pop off, but it goes back in easily (the fact it comes off is to prevent severe breakage). Kadaj can be posed easily, and has WAY more that 20 points of articulation. As for the face, it is just like the movie one and the hair is perfect!』 『The leader of the Sephiroth Remnants, and main antagonist of the FFAC movie, KADAJ has been resurrected from the Lifestream and into your collection. He stands proudly in his soft material coat and trademark double katana called Souba.』

In that time I have read some great books, some good books, some not so good and a few that were downright bad. This has to be one of the worst books I have ever had the misfortune to purchase. In fact,I would have to say it is in the top 5 worst books of all time. It is the literary equivalent of "Plan Nine from Outer Space. If I could give it minus stars I would. If it were possible I would demand a refund of the purchase price, plus another $50.00 for the waste of my time and energy. Twice I put this book down and then went back to it in the hopes that it would improve. Much to my dismay it only got worse. About half-way through I finally gave up. Despite what some of the reviewers would have you believe, this is junk, pure and simple. Please, don't waste your money on this piece of trash, buy a couple of comic books instead. At least they have pretty pictures in them.』
(The only book I have ever disliked so much that I destroyed it!) 『The Apocalypse Reader was such a colossal disappoint that it has become the only book that I destroyed because I disliked it so much. The book's thirty four stories of doomsday and the end of the world could be shortened to thirty be removing the one/two page "flash" stories that are so short they don't really contribute anything. The author even boasts in his introduction that at least one these aforementioned stories was originally published as a poem. That in and of itself would not disqualify a story but gives the reader of this review a better idea how short some of these stories were. Don't get me wrong, there were a few rays of hope from this collection, namely "These Zombies Are Not A Metaphor", but the good stories are so few and far between as to not redeem the book in any way. The book lacks any order or introduction to the individual stories leading to a confused reading of a random order thought appropriate only by the author of the collection. Save your money and watch an old zombie movie instead, you'll be happier.』
(Acid trip) 『Am on my seventh story in this compilation and, had I ever used acid in my youth, I would think I was having flashbacks. Apocalypse sories? Highly debateable! Strange and disconcerting - absolutely. My advice - skip this one!』
(Some gems but many stories are too vague) 『Of the 34 stories in this collection I can honestly say that only 9 of them really impressed me. Another 4 just completely confused me while the rest I could take or leave. Those that impressed me had characters that grabbed me from the start as well as a reason revealed for why things were ended. In some stories I couldn't even tell if there was any type of apocalypse or not going on. The creepiest was Jared Hohl's "Fraise Menthe, et Poivre 1978" while the most thought provoking was Brian Evenson's "An Accounting". Since so few of the stories impressed me I had to give it only an average rating as a collection.』
(Fun and smart) 『Justin Taylor has put together a wide-ranging, mind-bogglingly excellent anthology about one of my favorite subjects. Every piece inspires. I couldn't recommend it more highly.』 『

(Big waste of time and money.) 『This was the most boring book I have ever tried to read. Magic gets explained over and over in almost every chapter. The author described everything in so much detail, the whole plot is lost. I couldn't even finish this thing, about half-way into it I realized I didn't care about any of the characters and already knew everything that was going to happen. Don't waste your money on this crappy excuse for fantasy.』
(Sorry, but I couldn't finish it.) 『I liked the first couple books of this series, but by the time I got to this one, I'd had enough. This felt like a romance novel with fantasy trappings more than a fantasy novel to me. Blech.
It was rushed, stilted, and didn't engage me in the least, which is sad -- the concepts of the world are pretty decent.
Fortunately, I had the latest Guy Gavriel Kay novel awaiting me, so I dumped this one about 2/3 of the way through.』
(A Few Slips, But Not A Bad Tumble) 『McKenna's series-ender is enjoyable but not outstanding. Prominently billed as "the fifth and final tale of Einarinn," there are signs throughout The Assassin's Edge that the author was basically ready to move on. Conversely, the book seems to be as much a foreshadowing of further Einarinn tales as a conclusion to the current saga.
Gambler and thief Livak, who opened the series and established much of its tone, also closes it out as first-person narrator in Edge. She and lover Ryshad have spent a quiet winter setting up housekeeping in Kellarin, where Ryshad serves as advisor to young Sieur Temar D'Alsennin and generally makes himself indispensable. Now, spring planting and construction activities are turning Livak's thoughts toward what kind of future the still-struggling colony might offer someone with her rather unconventional skills and interests. She has a few ideas, and they definitely don't include making a career of keeping house. Before she can put her plans in motion, however, a new crisis besets the colony: piracy.
Kellarin's survival depends on a regular exchange of goods and supplies with the Empire. Occupying a mid-ocean island base, pirate leader Muredarch has blocked that vital flow of trade. Wiping out the base to remove the block is easier said than done. Temar won't risk Kellarin's independence by asking any of the Empire's noble Houses for aid, and Archmage Planir decides that Hadrumal's wizards should sit this one out. With help from Livak's old mercenary friends and a few independent-minded Hadrumalians, the colony mounts its own small but determined campaign.
During a preliminary sortie, the Kellarins learn that Muredarch's success is due in part to Elietimm magic. His secret backer is the same vicious Ice Islander who's been plaguing the Empire and Kellarin for more than two years. Not a threat the colonists can counter by force, but a hand-picked assassination team just might do the trick.
This book seems rushed compared to the first four; it could easily have been spun into at least one more installment if McKenna had given it her usual treatment. Edge spends less time than its predecessors on vibrant place and character sketches; reader opinion may split over whether that's good or bad, but it's certainly noticeable. Pacing and plotting are also less carefully managed than in earlier books, twin weaknesses apparent in both the big picture and the little details: the foundation for, or follow-through of, storyline elements is often inadequate. Finally, there are too many secondary narrative voices without enough overall continuity.
On the plus side, the physical action in Edge is vigorous and creative. Magic is back in all three flavors: the colonists' ancient Artifice, its Elietimm variant, and the newer magecraft of Hadrumal. McKenna's decision to avoid a too-pat ending is typical of the fresh fantasy perspective that's helped make the series so entertaining. The Assassin's Edge could have been better, but a writer of McKenna's wit and talent can afford a few slips without coming anywhere near a bad tumble.』
(The Final Assault) 『The Assassin's Edge is the fifth novel in the Tales of Einarinn series, following The Warrior's Bond. In the previous volume, the Emperor has averted a growing conflict among the Houses over trade with Kellarin, opening such trade to all Houses. Moreover, he has foiled Tor Bezaemar's efforts to hamper the restoral of the magically dormant settlers of Kellarin. Furthermore, he has recognized Temar D'Alsennin as Sieur of his House with Kellarin as his domain and has designated other surviving nobles in Kellarin as cadet branches of House D'Alsennin.
While the Emperor's decisions do not please everybody, D'Alsennin has gained the most from them and Tor Bezaemar has profited very little if any. D'Olbriot lost its monopoly, but still has very good relations with D'Alsennin. Sieur D'Olbriot, however, has released Ryshad from his service, citing conflicting loyalties, yet bestowed a generous parting gift in gold coin and promised an excellent recommendation.
In this novel, Ryshad and Livak have sailed to Kellarin and joined the colony. Ryshad is acting as steward to the Sieur D'Alsennin and Livak has been keeping busy with various activities. She is thinking of becoming a wine merchant, using her contacts in Tormalin and elsewhere to ship the merchandise to her.
Unfortunately, shipping has become a problem. When the first ship of the season fails to appear on time, the settlers are worried. But when Guinalle receives a sending from Parrail indicating that his ship has been captured, the Kellarin leadership soon looks for the problem and discovers that pirates on Suthyfer are intercepting ships coming to Kellarin. An expedition is formed to clear the islands of pirates and release the captives.
In this story, the expedition leadership finds that the pirates have magical assistance from Elietimm adepts. Once again, Ryshad, Livak and their friends are facing the hostile magic of the Ice Islanders. They decide that it is time to confront these enemies on their own soil.
This is the final volume in the Tales of Einarinn series. However, this world has room for other stories, past or future, and such would surely delight the readership. Let us hope that the author hasn't totally abandoned this world.
Highly recommended for McKenna fans and for anyone else who enjoys tales of various forms of magics in conflict, as well some desperate blade work.

『The Unknown Terror
After a long winter spent in the Kellarin colony, the crafty and beautiful Livak is anxious to move on. Now an opportunity is on the horizon. The reclamation of a lost southern settlement is in the offing, but those involved, Livak included, must await the spring arrival of the first ship from the mainland -- an event that will never take place. Unbeknownst to all, the vital trading route to Tormalin is no longer secure. A dire new threat to the colony's survival has arisen. A final battle of strength, cunning and courage challenges Livak and her devoted swordsman-lover Ryshad, one that will force them to take up arms to confront a merciless, many-faceted evil.

(FFT: WoL Strategy Guide) 『I bought this to help me get into the game. Mostly I have used the character building section to whet my appetite. I haven't used it for "reading ahead" to see what the next story battle is, but I have gone back to see what I could have done better. Early on, before I got the book, I was getting frustrated but learning some of what the authors believe to be good skillsets has been very useful. Sure, you can find the information on the Internet, but stats are so much easier to see in a table format.
Recommended if this is one of your first SRPGs.』
(FFT Guidebook: good and worth it) 『Well it covers everything you need in the game, and not just the basic walkthrough of each mission. It gives some really good tips on jobs and skills, some combinations I haven't used before that are really good. Also it covers all the secret missions and how to beat them and also how to get all the secret characters, and it's no big secret Balthier from FF XII is one of the guys you get.
The book gives an in depth chart on all the missions, all the maps, all the items/weapons/armour you can get. And also guide for the Deep Dungeon (one for the hardcore with time to spare) to tackle.
Aside from it being a great guide... you will be happy to know the artwork is great too. Not like some guidebooks that are so fnctional I may as well read it from gamefaqs.com... this one is lovely. As you can see from the cover, you get a few bits of eye candy. And on a small note, the pages aren't fragile thin as they are plastic coated/filmed.』
(It's a whole new game with this Bradygames Strategy Guide) 『I played this game quite a while ago, and when it came out again on PSP, I decided to grab this strategy guide for the second time around. With in-depth how-to and covering all the side quests and jobs, I clocked in 70+ hours of game play, as compared to my original 40 hours when I played without the game. This guide gives out no spoilers, but shows you how to get the most out of FFT. This really helped me get all side characters&showed how to get my characters up to speed with "job placement". Bradygames never lets me down, and in this instance it really improved the game. I'm passing this on to my other gamer friends and would recommend these strategy guides to any Final Fantasy fan.』
(An excellent guide) 『I recently purchased FFT: the war of the lions for my PSP, and decided to get the guide to have the set.
The guide has everything you need to get going, and keeps it up to the end, even helping you out on the new Ad Hoc additions to the game. I'd like to point out that i do own the original PS1 version, and it's guide, also, and there is no doubt the SE and Bradygames have decided to keep up the top notch work for this title and guide.
The ONLY glaring difference is the PS1 guide had a star method of suggesting the best job abilities. The PSP guide only suggest what works best for each job. Not a big difference, imho, because after playing a while, you should be able to discern which abilities help the most.
All in all, an enjoyable guide to have if you need a nudge in the right direction.』 『

The game is fantastic. The world is beautifully created. Sitting on a hill in the Batilla Downs region watching the sun come up, and it is different everyday, maintains a certain amount of beauty.
I joined a wonderful Linkshell (guild) on my 4th day in game. The people are friendly and helpful. and I cannot imagine have joined anyone else.
It it a hard game. You will be able to breeze through the first 20 lvls or so of your career. Then once you get to 30 you have the option of starting advanced jobs. Summoners, Paladins, Ninjas, Samurais, Dark Knights(my favorite). And the game lets you have a sub job. And when you have a sub job you can use all its combat and noncombat abilities. Very cool.
The cutscenes for the storyline are beautiful, the NMs (notorious monsters) and tough to kill, some require an Alliance of 18 people.
There is only one thing that I can think of that could be slightly improved upon, and that is leveling solo. It is possible, just no where near as fast as in a party.

(A great MMO that has it's chops) 『First off, I want to say that this is an ONLINE MASSIVELY ONLINE ROLE PLAYING GAME, which means it incurs a monthly fee. This is the main complaint I hear from people. Yet, the ironic thing is the price is the same as WoW.
Beyond that, this game is great for those who like hardcore MMO's. There are monsters that will kill you in one hit. Even then, when you are strong enough to kill that monster, you get a HUGE sense of accomplishment, which is why I must recommend it.』
(PC better than Xbox) 『I've been playing this game over 4 years and have logged over 365 days play time.. Yes, average of 6hrs a day. I have 3 systems, PC, PS2 and Xbox360. I bought the Xbox to run this game only. I was hoping for a higher quality image compared to the PS2, but it isn't. This could be due to the flat screen TV I have, but that is not my main problem. I've been running my Xbox for about 5 months now, 24/7. The problem with this system is the disc is required to be in the tray and it constantly spins, unlike the PS2 version and PC that play from the hard drives. My Xbox now has a hard time reading the disc and I have to smack it a few times to get it to read. (maybe due to dust build up?) It has also locked up a few times duringbattle and required a restart (over heating maybe?). I disconnected the Xbox system this weekend and plan to shutdown my 3rd account. Some quick notes for new players/people interested: 1. PC is much better quality than other systems. 2. This game is HUGE. Even with the amount of time I've played, I've only experienced less than 50% of the thing to do/places to go. This is mainly because I'm stationed overseas in a Japan timezone. (Hard to join large groups of english speaking people to do large scale events). 3. You will need a PC/Internet access in order to look up information on quests/missions/monsters/gear/guides, ect.. Otherwise you will have a hard, boring time trying to figure stuff out and/or trying to locate items or places. 4. If you don't have the time to play a couple days a week, don't bother. This game is on-line only, you can't pause it or hit the "save" button. 5. Be prepared to kill hundreds/thousands of low level monsters to make money off the items they drop so you can buy gear/spells/food/ect.. You can do this while "looking for party" to level up. 6. There are a total of 20 jobs you can chose from, but you only start out with 6 available (I think 6). You can start unlocking other jobs when you meet the level requirement of 30 (lev 75 is max) and perform the required quest. Some other RPG games lock you in as 1 main job from what I understand.

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Oldie but goodie.) 『The game is still going on. Its a fun time sink. People get serious about the game, their money, their armor.
What I've found is a lot of ex-con's hang out in this game (not joking). I have no idea what the attraction is. Maybe it is all the crude language, or the ability to con others out of their stuff and sell it to others. Yes, there are college kids playing and a few casual players, but mostly the gamers here and unemployed, unmotivated and predatorial.
You have to go online to play and could play alone online, but to get the most out of what the game offers you need the help of others.
Children should not be allowed to play this game.』
(Words Of Warning) 『No one seems to be mentioning the major problem I have with this game. So I guess I will.
I bought this game when it first came out two or three years ago. Spent 50 bucks on it at EbGames. I was so excited, I started downloading right away. After 4 or 5 solid hours (at least), I finally got to start playing.
It's a good game, don't get me wrong, but being only 15 and not wanting to plunk down a week of my allowance a month for a game I could only play for an hour or so at a time (it was on the family computer, plus I had school work). I thought, "Well I'll probably play it again someday." So I deleted my account, so my mom's card wouldn't be charged anymore and I wouldn't have to fork over the money to play each month.
Fast forward 2 years. I have my own computer and my own credit card, so I break the game out again. I have more time, I'm out of school, not yet in college. So what the hell? I'll give it another shot. But first, I read the first few pages of the hefty 144 page instruction booklet.
On page 11, I believe, these words are written under the section "CAUTION! About Your Member Information": "Your member information is retained on the server for three months after your access to PlayOnline is disabled. ... After this three-month period has elapsed, you can no longer use your previous account information. You must create a new account to use PlayOnline again. Please note that this means you must purchase A NEW COPY of the software from a retailer and reregister for PlayOnline".
Maybe you skimmed over that part, so I'll say it again. "YOU MUST PURCHASE A NEW COPY OF THE SOFTWARE FROM A RETAILER".
This means that if you, for any reason, have to unsubscribe from PlayOnline for a while (say you're not playing the game and you don't want to pay for something you're not going to use for a while), you have to shell out the bucks to buy the game again!
I read this and I thought, "Huh. What a bunch of BS." I tried installing it anyway, and wouldn't you know it? My registration codes that worked 2 or 3 years ago do not work now. I can't sell it, the registration codes don't work and I don't want to pawn off my bogus copy. (ANOTHER WARNING: Nobody buy this game used! It might not work for this exact reason!). I paid fifty dollars for the game and those registration code and now the only thing the game is good for now is as a paper weight. And you know how useless those are.
If I were to buy this game again, I'd have to pay about half the price I paid for a game that I already did buy AND I have to play at least every three months. I don't know about anybody else, but I got through game phases. I play a lot of games for a few months, then I stop for a while, then I get back into it.
For me, I'm not sure if I want to waste anymore money and time on this one. Which is a shame, because it's not a bad game.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE COMMITMENT TO BUY THIS. Weigh the PROs and CONs before purchasing. Make sure it's worth it.
If you can handle it, more power to you.』
(Bag... of ...) 『I had, unfortunately, very high expectations of this game. I mean, Final Fantasy... MMORPG? Whoa! The best of two worlds collide!
Unfortunately, the result of the collision is a horrid mess. Square smashed this game out of the park graphically, and the sounds effects and music are decent too. Unfortunately as well, that's where the positives stop.
- The UI is awful and unintuitive. - Play control is ruthlessly cumbersome. - Players are (mostly) unhelpful to new players. - Race/Class combination is pretty boring. Each race has a "best" class and most people go that route. - Did I mention play control is horrible? - The combat system is, also, unintuitive. I *highly* recommend playing a melee character as a first. Any casting class will be killed over, and over, and over. And apparently this is just blindly accepted. - The chat system is pesky. - Oh yeah... the play control? Don't even get me started on it.
Now, the reason I weighed Play Control so heavily is because, in ANY MMORPG, you're going to spend a LOT of time traveling around. A *lot*. That, mixed with the horrible UI and combat system just make for a very frustrating experience. If you want a game with any sort of substance? Do yourself a favor and check out World of Warcraft. Or even Dark Age of Camelot.』
(short and sweet...don't waste your money) 『I can't begin to describe how boring this game was. After sitting at home for 3 hours for all the install and updates I finally was able to play. I couldn't believe how dumb the controls were on the XBOX controller. We have microphones...and if you play games like call of duty 2 you can talk to different people, but not in this game. You have to scroll through a picture of a keyboard on the screen...it takes 1 minute to write your name. Just don't get it if you are not into games that have a really really deep storyline...100's of foreign names for everything, lots of walking and way too many controls. I played FF9 and absolutely loved it. Can't say that about this one. I am pretty bitter about spending the money on this game. Hope this review was helpful. I read a lot of positive reviews on this site and I am assuming those ones are from people who really are into intense, never-ending role playing games.』
