『I've had zero problems with this coffee maker. I love the thermus and it's a big plus that the coffee never tastes burned and stays warm for a long time. Coffee tastes excellent as well. Great machine, worth the money!』

『Positive- Makes a good cup of coffee. As long as you put the plastic plug in the hole in the top, it stays hot for hours.
Negative-After brewing the screw on lid is difficult to loosen. Need a paper towel or napkin to grap edge to open. The #4 filters don't fit great..you must fold a little. If you forget to put the plastic disk / with plug, it cools faster&when you pour it comes out the spout&thru the hole in the top.
All&all, worth the price&the annoyances are livable.』

『We were a little skeptical. There are so many crap coffee pots out there. I know, as we have gone through 4 of them in the last 8 years. Some may say we got our money out in two years, but our first Braun coffee pot lasted 15 of the 23 years that my wife and I have been married. We think and hope we've found it. So far we love this pot.

We have never had a Thermal Carafe design and were skeptical about how long the coffee would stay hot. Just like the other reviews tell you, brew it, and it stays hot for hours. Now once you pour, you let air in and the time it stays hot starts to diminish. Just cools faster that's all, it's not like it goes stone cold.

We have noticed a taste improvement as the coffee doesn't sit under a heat plate cooking the flavor out. Plus since the carafe is portable we take it out beside the pool in the mornings. Very nice not having to go back inside for a refill. Besides, that heat plate idea should have gone out with the 80's right? Let's see...energy wasteful, fire hazard potential, burns the coffee as it cooks, duh!!! Even if you have half a brain, you should be able to follow this logic. And even if you don't trust the crazy name (or maybe you find the name to be iconic with classic eastern European engineering or something)...whatever. The thermal carafe rocks!!

Be careful that you empty out the previous day's coffee or it will overflow, duh right? Well you can't see through the pot, so that common mistake has happened a couple of times. what a mess.

Though not a complaint, but that swing arm design for the sprayer for the hot water onto the grounds is a bit annoying. I wonder if that thing will stand the test of time. I'm trying to be careful.

Otherwise, buying this pot is a good investment for the price, and BTW I don't work for the company. I'm simply a Telecom Guy that likes a good reliable cup of coffee for a fair price, and though I can't pronounce the name Zojirushi, it does everything as promised.

PS - Stay away from those high priced coffee makers. That's just people with more money than sense. I wish they would spend it helping people or the planet rather than encouraging such wasteful behavior. Oh well, off my soap box and back to my solar panel project.

The line is hard for her to see, she's in her 80's. I'm considerably younger and it is a bit hard to see. Other than that she likes it.』
『Yes, it will have a steaming hot pot of coffee ready and waiting when you wake up, and the insulated stainless steel carafe will keep it hot for a long time. You can also grab a cup during the brew process if you like. Easy to operate and easy on the eye, this might just be the coffeemaker you've been waiting for.』
『Lots of folks dislike the burnt flavor that coffee gets when it sits in a glass pot over a heating element. To avoid this, coffee shops often brew right into large thermal pots to keep the coffee warm without it becoming overcooked. The Zojirushi Fresh Brew does that, too, but in home-sized batches. It looks great, too, with a glossy black body and stainless steel carafe and brew basket.

To brew, lift the lid and swing the water outlet spout to one side while the filter is being loaded; the spout will return to its proper position when the lid is closed. A small red ball in the water gauge makes it extra simple to read. And an electronic clock module also serves as a timer that will start the brewer at a specified time. The carafe's lid is designed to be on during brewing, with a small cap to help keep the heat in after it's ready. The Fresh Brew also has a pause-and-serve function that stops the flow for 30 seconds while a cup of coffee is served.

To clean the brewer unit, use a solution of white vinegar and water, following the instructions in the accompanying booklet. The unit is not immersible. The exterior can be wiped with a damp soft rag; do not use abrasives or scouring pads. The filter reservoir is removable; clean with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. The coffee brewer measures 15 by 12 by 9 inches (includes carafe handle when unit is completely assembled), and it uses #4 cone-shaped disposable paper filters. 『I have to give the Presto 8 qt stainless steel pressure cooker five stars. I can't find anything wrong with it. I thought maybe the removeable gasket might be a problem fitting back in but it's very easy. At first I wasn't sure of how to line up the lid for easy closing but once I got the knack, it went smoothly. I am so happy with the whole process of cooking quickly and getting delicious results. A whole pot of Minestroni soup in less than half hour and it tastes as if it was slow cooked all day. I'm tempted to order an even bigger pressure cooker, with the economy the way it is I might want to make gallons of soup.』

I loved it and was used to cooking with an electronic pressure cooker. I was not happy with all the longer it lasted. I used it for less than 4 years when the heating element went on it. So because of electronic cookers not having a great warranty and being so expensive I decided to try this product. I am very happy with it. It does a really nice job and I don't have to babysit it like I thought I would. The pressure regulator does not rock back and forth. I would definately recommend this product.』

So just use the first CD as a coaster on your wood coffee table and move on to the next CD. The first cd seems like someone raided the cheapest sample beats volume 34 in the sale bin. It should be a single cd. You might get the second cd cheaper by buying the songs one at a time from iTunes or some other store ?

『I am one of those tiesto trance follower and have been since 2000. To this day I still go back and pop in some magik cd's or the early ISOS's. Some to this day get the job done as I work out and if he were to barely release some of those titles they would still be hits right now. This man was born with a special ear for trance producing rythms. I swear when my wife gets pregnant I will be relaxing my kid with these special tunes on ISOS ASIA by placing a stereo next to her belly. LOL Hell be raving in there. But yes these hits on this cd especially CD 2 you can still listen to it yrs from now and still be in love with his stuff. Im still in love with ISOS 4&5 Latin America and LAX. 『I went out and purchased this CD after listening to many of the tracks on Tiesto's weekly free podcast. I am a BIG fan of Tiesto and I make it a point to go see him when his tours come to town (can't wait for the Kaleidoscope Tour to make its way here). When I listened to the tracks on the CD, however, I was very disappointed. First of all, each track seems to start the same way - a monotonous drum beat that repeats itself for at least minute and a half before any melodies begin. Second, the tracks seem to play out much more slowly than I remembered them in the podcasts. All in all, I regret purchasing this CD and I have never listened to the tracks since. I am sticking with the podcasts instead.』

『I recently bought 10 surfing videos to get through my 8 months in Iowa before I can go back to Mazatlan. I think I did well on some of them in no small part to Surfer Magazine's list and Amazon reviews. My favorites are September Sessions and Thicker Than Water; a tossup, really. Buy them both and save the shipping. I've about decided that any film involving Jack Johnson and/or the Malloys is a no-brainer; get it. What you have is some of the best surfers in the world on a Menatwais boat trip, free from the pressures of contests, getting some of the best waves in the world and YOU, are invited along. These are guys who seem to get along well having a whole lot of fun. Brad Gerlach is a stitch - just non-stop funny and yeah, he surf for good brah. You can see a younger version of Kelly Slater and Shane Dorian with hair, Slater spitting some water out at the camera looking like a young Marlon Brandon and, of course, surfing insanely well; Dorian snapping his backside hacks with a robot-like precision; Rob Machado just so fluid and stylish, seemingly able to turn on the afterburner whenever he wants some more speed. But, hey, I'm not trying to critique the surfers it's just that you can't help but get into it. A massive plus for me is the extremely well-chosen music. I've become a fan of Jack Johnson's music as well as his cinematography. He's difficult to categorize but I think of what Michael Franks might have done if he'd been surfing in Hawai'i instead of chilling out in Rio back in the day. Another thing I like is the bonus commentary from Kelly, Jack, Brad, and Rob. I could watch this for days. As an added feel-good, the filmmakers are donating all proceeds from the sale of the film to SurfAid, a truly worthwhile organization helping the residents of Sumatra and the Mentawais with medical aid.』

『This is all you need for any one device to the extent that it is rated for universal voltage of 100-240V AC.

Most existing laptops and other electronics are this way these days but some older devices may come with a 110/240V switch so make sure that you check before you plug your device into the foreign outlet, especially if you do it into the outlet of 'higher' voltage as it happens to be the case in Europe.

On this adapter's features:

- Works as a plug converter on both sides.
- Supports both 2-prong and 3-prong US plugs.
- It is NOT a voltage converter. If your device is not rated for 240V chances are it WILL be destroyed so be careful.
- Do not expect any frills such as surge protection. After all, it's a cheap, simple adapter that does only thing well and nothing else.

I have three cordless drills that I'm constantly using, all equipped with either Craftsman or Ryobi quick change couplers. The drills in this set only fit the coupler that comes with the set. If you try to use them in the other brands, the drills fall out.
It's nice to have the quick change ability when working with these drills and drivers, and if you don't already have one of these sets it works great.』

『Terrific shots of vast Mongolian steppes and nature (been to Mongolia many times and it does an absolutely magnificent job of capturing the essence of Mongolian wilderness). Good story, decent acting but the lead is too cute and does not convey the huge presence that Khan was actually porported to have. Battle scenes are disappointing to a certain extent as it lacks the epic sweep of large budget flicks - mostly closeups with blood splatters (but wouldn't consider it excessively gory). The final battle is a letdown actually (won't give away the details but suffice to say that it doesn't live up to the buildup). If it's true that this is a first of a planned trilogy than it's definitely worth getting. If it's not than it's a good way to get a primer into the Khan legend but don't expect a GREAT movie. Anyway, for only $10 for blue ray, it's a cheap deal.』

『i bought this movie for blue ray on the cheap ( $9!) and i definatly recomand buying it as cheap as possible because there are absolotly no extras, i mean not even a ducomentary or deleted scene or anything which most blue rays ususally have. that was my only fault with this. but omg the deep story, the graphics, the fantastic environments, and badass fight scenes are breathtaking. i know this movie wasnt really historically accurate and it only focused on Changis Khan's good deeds rather than his wild, ruthless, and bloody tyranny, but somehow i like this version better. i cant wait to see how the rest of the 2 movies turn out.

Pros: Great story, watching this on Blue Ray show how great looking the graphics and enviornments are, good acting, ENTERTAINING!

『The cinematography in this movie is worth the price alone. I have to admit i did not know much about Genghis Kahn. All i knew about him was a mauradering murder. Well this movie shows a different side of him. Not sure if this is really how he was or just what director wants to portray him. Shows the upbringing of this man and how he became Genghis Kahn. Really intresting. The movie was made for 20 million but looked like a big budget movie. Worth the purchase.』

『surprisingly, this was a very good movie.I had never heard of it until I was surfing through a list of blu ray movies and came upon it. I decided to see a trailer to see what it was about and afterwards gave the movie a chance. I'm not a big fan of subtitle movies but watching this movie was worth it. Yes it is packed with action,fighting, blood and death but it is also about one man who never quits no matter how many times he is beaten down by everything around him. He still forgives and does what he has to for the respect, honor and loyalty of his people and his one true love.』

(The Rise of Khan)

『Despite scenes of gross, grisly gouging (heads smashed, sharpened objects poked into and through people, and almost as much digital blood flying as in "300"), this is actually a rather charming and affecting film. Really. The focus is on the people and their relationships, with the battles secondary. (But don't worry -- if you like seeing humans converted to hamburger, you won't be disappointed.)

The producers know what sells -- the actor playing Temudgin is Jeff-Bridges cute, and the actress playing Borte (his bride) is beautiful, without looking as if she just steppe-d (ar, ar) off the runway. But this is no Hollywood biopic (qv, "The Conqueror"). Both the acting and direction are understated, and there are only a few Scenes Of Great Portent. Some questions are left unanswered -- such as how the wolf releases Temudgin's slave shackles and how he repeatedly escapes from his captors. But the story of Ghengis Khan is as much legend as fact, so it's not /that/ important. The film ends as Temudgin is made khan of all the Mongols, leaving room for a sequel. ("The Wrath of Khan"?)

The cinematography is outstanding, with lots of wide shots of magnificent landscapes, dotted with tiny human figures. However, in some scenes the highlights are flat and burned out. This seemed more like a technical or transfer problem, than a deliberate aesthetic choice by the director. It detracts only slightly.

This Blu-ray disk is so inexpensive, it's virtually an impulse purchase. Give in.』

(A world of pure imagination)

『The mother Lisa has the most poignant line in "Ponyo," saying the equivalent of "When you find yourself surrounded by magic and wonder, you don't try and understand it you just enjoy it."

To me, that is the theme and lesson of "Ponyo" ("Gake no Ue no Ponyou" or "Ponyo on the Cliffs"). After dabbling in darker themes and more adult-orientated fare like Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, Miyazaki has returned to the lighter, simpler themes of the magic and mystery of childhood as found in his groundbreaking My Neighbor Totoro. One can always tell the target audience for a Miyazaki film by the age of the main character: "Spirited Away" was made for 10-year olds, "Princess Mononoke" was made for teenagers. The lead characters in "Ponyo" are 5 years old.

Like "My Neighbor Totoro," "Ponyo" is a film based on a childlike sense of joy and imagination. There is no need for a "villain" or some arbitrary conflict or threat for the children to overcome. Like Satsuki and Mei, Sosuke and Ponyo are pure at heart, and open to exploring the wonders around them. They feel their emotions without cynicism or thought, instead living in the moment and experiencing its joys, sorrows and fears.

Which is not to say there is no depth here. In "Ponyo," Miyazaki has blended two unlikely sources; Richard Wagner's pounding opera Die Walkure from Der Ring Des Nibelungen and Hans Christian Anderson's melancholy fairy tale The Little Mermaid. The essential set-up comes from "Die Walkure," where the god Wotan holds the goddess Freia captive, and is also the possessor of the Rhinegold Ring which grants vast magical powers so long as one gives up all possibility of love. As a nod to this, the name Ponyo is giving by her father is Brünnhilde, one of the Valkyrie who feels the power of the Ring and must make the choice between love and paradise. This story is skillfully blended with Anderson's "Little Mermaid," about a sea creature who must win the love of a human or be reduced to soulless sea foam.

Miyazaki essentially presents two movies. The front film is basic, colorful and easy to understand for children. The animation in "Ponyo" is some of the best that I have ever seen, with Miyazaki personally drawing much of the underwater and ocean scenes, utilizing the influence of classic Japanese ukiyo-e pictures. Miyazaki has said that "Ponyo" is his most technically complicated film, using more unique images than any previous film.

The second, deeper story is something that can only be assembled from fragments and snatches of conversation. For example, the wizard Fujimoto, Ponyo's father, was a human being who fell in love with the ocean goddess Gran Mammare, and struggled for centuries to burn away his humanity and become consort and protector for the entity he loved. More than anyone, he understands the sacrifices and struggles awaiting Ponyo when she loves someone not of her world. These story/sub-story elements are one of the things I love so much about Japanese film, where more expectations are put on the audience to read between the lines and to give thought to the unspoken as well as the spoken

I am not sure how much of this deeper story survived the translation into English, as I watched the film in Japanese. There are some nuances that probably went missing, and I am curious as to how some of the scenes were handled, such as when Lisa sings Sosuke a part of the theme song to "My Neighbor Totoro" to cheer him up when his father is not home. Some other things, such as the significance of tunnels in Japanese folklore (considered the realm of female Mountain Gods who are prone to jealousy, it is assumed that the tunnel would not take kindly to a water deity passing through. However, outside the tunnel is a statue of Jizo, the protector of children, which sends a visual clue to the audience that Sosuke and Ponyo are going to be alright.) also might pass unnoticed or appear confusing to Western audiences, although every Japanese person would inately understand this without needing to be told.

Miyazaki proved in "Ponyo" that he is still the greatest director of animated films alive. I am so thrilled to have seen this movie, and I know I will watch it again and again.

『The Japanese version with english subtitles is better than the English version. I believe it's a personal preference, but just feel that something is lost in translation. So I would recommend this version to anyone, who doesn't mind subtitles.』

(Absolutely Delightful, Endearing Anime Film By Miyazaki Hayao)

『Among my favorite anime films are Hayao Miyazaki`s "Princess Mononoke" and "Spirited Away" (won Best Animated film); those two films are truly masterworks of animation accompanied by a very intricate storyline. "Howl's Moving Castle" was good but I thought it was a bit of a mixed bag. Miyazaki's eighth film for Japanese animation company "Studio Ghibli", "PONYO On The Cliff" (full title) has been imported by Disney to U.S. shores on a limited theatrical run. The way to approach any of Miyazaki's films is to temper your expectations; although honestly, hearing about another Miyazaki film is just so delightful that any Miyazaki fan would become excited. "Ponyo" is more a family-friendly film that uses the traditional hand drawn animation instead of CGI. This has been promoted as Miyazaki's last film.

Sosuke (voiced by Doi Hiroki) is a young boy who lives with his young mom Lisa (voiced by Yamaguchi Tomoko) in a small house on a cliff that overlooks a small port in Japan (Based on Seto Island) One day, he encounters a magical sea sprite/goldfish that he found on the beach who he names "Ponyo". Taking the magical creature to wherever he goes, the two have such a good bonding because of a certain cured meat called "ham'. But as soon as the two become close, Fujimoto (Tokoro Joji) a former human who has rejected the surface world who has become a sea sorcerer who collects magical elixirs is hot on Ponyo's trail. He takes Ponyo back (who he calls Brunhilde) back to the depths, but Ponyo now desires to become human and to be with Sosuke; a desire so strong that she breaks out of Fujimoto's undersea lair that causes the his elixirs to be unleashed on an unsuspecting world that causes a major storm that threatens the island. Fujimoto seeks out the aid of Ponyo's mother, a water element dubbed as the Mother of the Sea (voiced by Yuki Amami) to try and put things back to normal before the sea engulfs the surface...

Written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, "Ponyo" is a film with a very simple premise that borrows some elements from "The Little Mermaid". As with Miyazaki's past films, the film has strong messages about ecology and environmentalism that focuses on the well-being of the world's oceans. The opening scene with all the pollution, debris and garbage in the ocean makes a very strong commentary, these sequences give justification as to why Fujimoto would leave the life of a surface dweller. Fujimoto has taken it upon himself to try to repair the damage this has caused, but all appears to be fruitless as the oceans are damaged faster than he could anticipate. Some of the environmental messages may appear too heavy-handed but Miyazaki is a master of fantasy-storytelling and he manages to overcome the film's flaws.

The film's central focus falls on the friendship between Sosuke and Ponyo. Sosuke exhibits this optimistic innocence that is just so full of life. Ponyo as the sea sprite is just so cute and adorable. I admit to a certain extent, that the film does take its time getting to its goals. However, the first half is also full of charm, warmth and endearing scenes that would please any viewer of any age. Once Ponyo reverts to a human however, the film gets into gear as the viewer is treated to an animated visual marvel that is quite refreshing to see in these days dominated by CGI animation. Seeing a colorful, great visual achievement using traditional cell animation is so cool to look at, Miyazaki still proves that one doesn't need CGI to deliver a good animated film. Miyazaki has the eye to deliver something truly fantastic as well as bizarre and outrageous; Miyazaki intentionally made the drawings to resemble the use of crayons and pencils to make them superbly reflective of a child's imagination. The animation work is truly charming that retains the look of a kid's coloring book given life and motion. The animation work by Katsuma Kondo is excellent for the film's tone.

Child actors Nara Yuria and Doi Hiroki do magnificent work as Ponyo and Sosuke. I will NOT give credit to the English voice cast by Disney at all, since I saw this in its original form. Anime is meant to be seen in Japanese, English dubbed work is often abysmal. Nara Yuria is magnificent as Ponyo. Her voice portrayal fits the infantile charm and wit exhibited by her animated counterpart. She sounds so cute and adorable on some scenes, it comes as no surprise that Doi Hiroki would fall for the magical sea sprite turned human. Tomoko Yamaguchi is also awesome as Sosuke's mom. Tomoko is a model and I could just feel her `vibe' as her youthful, energetic young woman. I was a little confused as to why Sosuke kept on referring to her as Lisa instead of mom, but perhaps this is just a reflection on the more modern Japanese family. Comedian Joji Tokoro is great as Fujimoto. His character is full of weird potential but sadly, Miyazaki doesn't really flesh his character out more thoroughly. I would have loved to see more of the relationships between Sosuke and his father as well as more of Fujimoto's background. Everything did feel like they had to take a back seat in favor of the visuals. I also would have liked more undersea world detail as rendered by Miyazaki.

In this world, Ponyo represents the oceans and Sosuke represents the surface world. There are some parallels to the friendship between the two to the relationship between Fujimoto and the Mother of the Sea. Miyazaki seems to be giving the viewer that for the world to succeed, man and his environment need to work in unison. Man needs to respect and love his environment for what it is, and not change anything for his own selfish motives. Love, sincerity and compassion are needed to save the planet.

Miyazaki Hayao's "Ponyo" is a little light in the dramatic areas and ends up better as an adventure `exploration' film than an actual undersea journey. The film does suffer a bit within the limits it imposed on itself, Miyazaki's talent still shines through and I hope that this isn`t his last film. Miyazaki has crafted another modern fairy tale that can be appreciated by the young and old alike. It is a timeless story of friendship, love and adventure that exhibit's an endearing warmth that cannot be soon forgotten.

Highly Recommended!! [3½+ Stars]

The region-3 Asian import has a great anamorphic picture and 2.0 Japanese/English dubbed track. It also has a DTS Japanese track that is recommended. The English Subtitles are removable and good. I am not sure what is circulating in amazon.

『Despite scenes of gross, grisly gouging (heads smashed, sharpened objects poked into and through people, and almost as much digital blood flying as in "300"), this is actually a rather charming and affecting film. Really. The focus is on the people and their relationships, with the battles secondary. (But don't worry -- if you like seeing humans converted to hamburger, you won't be disappointed.)

The producers know what sells -- the actor playing Temudgin is Jeff-Bridges cute, and the actress playing Borte (his bride) is beautiful, without looking as if she just steppe-d (ar, ar) off the runway. But this is no Hollywood biopic (qv, "The Conqueror"). Both the acting and direction are understated, and there are only a few Scenes Of Great Portent. Some questions are left unanswered -- such as how the wolf releases Temudgin's slave shackles and how he repeatedly escapes from his captors. But the story of Ghengis Khan is as much legend as fact, so it's not /that/ important. The film ends as Temudgin is made khan of all the Mongols, leaving room for a sequel. ("The Wrath of Khan"?)

The cinematography is outstanding, with lots of wide shots of magnificent landscapes, dotted with tiny human figures. However, in some scenes the highlights are flat and burned out. This seemed more like a technical or transfer problem, than a deliberate aesthetic choice by the director. It detracts only slightly.

This Blu-ray disk is so inexpensive, it's virtually an impulse purchase. Give in.』

『I only need my rice cooker to cook rice so I do not care about all the other functionalities.
With that said, this cooker gives me perfectly cooked rice. Every grain is consistent in (good) quality unlike some other cheaper cookers. The coating is truely non-stick and clean up is extremely easy. The interface is easy to use and the overall construction is very solid.
Size-wise this cooker is perfect for small households. The 5 cups size is better than 3 cups for single households because the 3 cup ones cannot really handle it when you have one or two guests over. Highly recommended.』

『This rice cooker is great. It makes great rice both white and brown. I was also pleasantly surprised at how well it makes hard boiled eggs. They turn out a lot better than boiling them in water. I punch a pin hole on the end of each egg before steaming them in the machine and the hard boiled eggs come out just like in a restaurant, if not better. You also do not have to do 8 at a time, just steam them for a few less minutes.』

『I do eat a bit of rice but am more prone to keeping to brown rice. I had an old cheap rice cooker that basically turned on, cooked, and went to keep warm...no other settings. It also made quite a bit of starchy mess.

I have just made my first cup of rice in the Sanyo. The brown rice turned out great..a bit of crunch, soft, and not sticky at all. The cooker itself was a breeze to clean and nothing stuck to the cooker. I honestly was not too sure about buying a rice cooker for $100 plus but I am glad I did!

Next up is steaming.

BTW - included with this is a little recipe book..it seems pretty good.

(This dvd player is not worth the money)

『I bought this dvd player about 6 mos ago and it died. First the remote went out and you can't even manually fast forward or rewind without the remote. That was a headache all in itself having to put the dvd player on pause every time we left the room. My 7 year old sometimes like to rewind to see something again and now he frustrated that he can't do it. Now the dvd player is saying "no disk" when there is clearly a disk in there. I would suggest spending your hard earned money on a good dvd player.』

(Plays Discs From Around The World)

『I wanted a inexpensive DVD with criteria of: an all region player with progressive scan. After looking at several, I decided on the Coby DVD-224. Avaliable in 2 colors black: DVD-224BLK&silver DVD-224SLR, this unit is small, inexpensive and plays discs from around the world! I had previously owned a bottom of the line ($19.99 + tax) Coby DVD player. It had been kept in an RV. It had been dropped, beat up, scratched and shown plenty of abuse, yet played without fail each and every time(matter as a fact I still own it and it is STILL working). This unit does exactly what it says it will do. Hook up and set up is a breeze if, you read the manual and set up chart completely. If you look at all the reviews, most negatives are from individuals who didn't read the manual and can't figure how how to make the unit and/or remote function properly. Yet this no one's fault but their own, they want to blame the player?!

This unit plays discs from The UK, Germany, France, Korea and South America that I know of, I have no reason to expect it would not play other of any and all regions. Though the manual said closed caption was available in 5 languages, the unit I received actually has 8 languages and comes with set up in 32 different languages. Box contains all cables needed for hook up, the multi-function remote and even the remote batteries as well. Just plug it in, hook up the cables, complete set it up and enjoy.

I gave this unit 4 stars overall. The only reason it doesn't rate 5 stars overall is the fact that the unit and remote are cheaply made. In the light of day, they look as such. Cosmetics rate a 4, functions rate a 5, reliability rates a 5, overall satisfaction is a 4.5 to 4.75. I find no reason to believe that anyone who is the least bit tech savvy or, can read AND comprehend instructions would not be happy with this unit.』

I used to have a inexpensive Cyberhome DVD player that could handle both but unfortunately this one won't. I've tried to find out how to unlock it for multi region use but none of the methods I've found work. I think they are out of date. Also it seems very noisy when it's spinning. I guess you get what you pay for and I should pay closer attention to the specifications. Having looked back at them now it doesn't actually say it is multi region. Oh well lesson learnt, I hope!!』

『I bought this 1250 watt oven to replace 1000 watt panasonic model that was 14 years old. It still worked, but had taken some abuse. This new oven was much larger. It's huge inside. It has the same rotating circlet under a heavy glass tray inside. This unit is much lighter than the smaller unit it replaced. It is unusually light for it's size.

Features new to me :

Single button reheat: Stick in your old covered plate and press it, then start. It monitors the steam released by the food, and cooks it hot and done every time. Maybe a hair hotter than my tastes, but probably exactly as hot as it should be really. I use a hot pad to remove the plate and it's fine. I was sceptical about this but it really works.

Inverter : It says it was supposed to even the heat distribution, and it actually does. I've never seen a microwave heat food like that. You know, you put a piece of chicken, corn and stuffing on a plate, the chicken is radioactive, the stuffing is done and the corn is cold. It is much better than that. Not totally perfect but a lot better than I have ever managed without adding food incrementally.

For the price (about what I paid 14 years ago for a panasonic oven) I think this is a good bargain. It comes in a big box too, so getting it shipped free saved a lot of hassle.』

『I have used these electrical adapters in a country (South Korea) which uses the 220v as the AC standard. These worked perfectly when I used the USA standard 120v plugs (two thin "l" shaped prongs).

No adapter, including this one, will convert electricity (electric converters will). That means if your electrical machine can't handle the native AC voltage, you should NOT use these adapters. You can check the range of electrical voltage your electrical machine can handle by checking its voltage range typically written somewhere on the device. Most consumer electronic devices can handle from 110v to 240v and that covers the voltage range of practically every nation on earth. In summary, chances are very good that your consumer electronic device will work with the AC voltage of the country you are residing. But you probably would want to check the device.

Please note, these should be used in countries that use 220v-240v (most of Europe). Not all countries use the two rounded prongs of this adapter. The input of this adapter can handle all forms of plugs, including the US 120v (both 2 and 3 prongs).

If you plan to travel to different parts of the world, then I recommend you purchase variable AC adapter plugs which can handle different voltage and plug types. They cost more, but they are worth the money. But if you need an AC adapter specifically for countries that use AC 220v-240v, then these should meet your needs nicely.

My only issue with these is they are little big (but not too big) and can sometimes be cumbersome. So they get 4 stars.』

『We use these puzzles in our homeschool geography study. What a fun way to become familiar with continents and countries. Each month, we study a different continent. In addition to maps, colors, books and all that goes with it, these puzzles add some great fun to our class. The kids would put it together each day and race to see if they could beat their time from the day before. The loved it! As they get more familiar with the countries and where they go, the time gets faster! The children asked us to buy them all because they liked them so much!!』

(Phenomenal Puzzle)

『We received this GeoPuzzle yesterday and have completed it with our two year old son four times. He loves it and is already naming the countries.

We do the puzzle with a globe and the puzzle box nearby. We point to a country on the box and ask him what it is, or say what it is ourselves) and ask if he can find it. The bright colors make the pieces easy to find. ("Can you find a green country called Pakistan?") He always finds the piece and holds it up triumphantly. Then we put the piece in together and sometimes show him where the same country is on the globe. He has a wonderful time.

An older child, or even an adult, would have a great time working on this puzzle alone. I find that I'm getting a much better grasp of geography by playing with this.

The quality is excellent. The colors are vivid and the pieces seem as though they will withstand a great deal of abuse.

We're having so much fun with this puzzle that we're going to buy the rest of the GeoPuzzle collection. This is a fantastic way to play and learn political geography at the same time.』

『This is a great idea that is poorly executed. Because the pieces are shaped like the countries, they do not stay together the way a regular jigsaw puzzle does. This becomes very tedious for both child and adult--the puzzle comes apart every time you touch it to put in a new piece. In addition, the pieces are pretty thin--not as thick and sturdy as they should be for the price.

Very educational--it is just not very user-friendly. You will need a lot of patience with this puzzle ( and all the Geo Puzzle map puzzles).』

『I bought this puzzle and several others in the same series to help teach my daughter geography. She's only 2 and she loves putting them together as a family. She's helped put them together so many times now, she knows where most of the countries go and can say the names of many of them. My only complaint is that they are cardboard instead of wooden like her puzzle of the U.S., but I haven't been able to find any companies that make wooden puzzles of continents other than North America. Great educational tool!』

『We first got Europe, which we liked a lot. There is enough chance that it plays different enough each time to keep your interest.
The colors are not very distinct for someone will poor vision like me. I put initials for the colors on the cards with a black marker to solve that problem.
We bought USA next. It didn't seem as challenging. Maybe just because it was more familiar. When we played with USA and Europe side-by-side it was much funner.
Then we bought Asia. We only played it once by itself. Now we almost always play with all 3 together. To make it a little tricker, we include the St. Lawrance seaway and the Great Lakes as part of the Atlantic Ocean. We also make it 20 days instead of 10 days. With that many to link together your strategy has to be very dynamic.
We are looking forward to buying Africa, but I don't know how we will fit them all on the table. We hope they come out with one that includes Central&South America (maybe an "10 Days in the Americas").』

『It is really hard to find a surge protector that works on foreign electricity. I travel to countries where the power is often "dirty" so I'm loathe to charge my camera, etc. without one of these.

Not only does this one work everywhere, but it also has two plugs: American and European round two prong, which works in some other countries, e.g., India, in places where they have new style outlets.

This does NOT mean that it will fit all outlets globally, which is what the reviewer who wanted to use it in Australia was really complaining about - for that, you need an adapter.』

『I live in the United States, and I was hoping to use this for travel to Australia. Because it says you can use the product in Australia. So I bought one of these with the thought that it will let me plug in my computer in Australia outlets, or any other outlets I might have.

That is NOT the case. It appears that it will allow you to plug in almost any other country's outlets into it, but the only prongs on this device are for the US or some rounded plugs. I'm not sure where the rounded plugs go to, but it's not Australia or the UK. There's also a tab at the top that says "UK" on it, but I've pushed, pulled and messed with it, and I have not been able to get any results from it.

It does work US-to-US as a surge protected. I've got it to work for my iPod, no problem. But, if you're like me, you're not buying this device because it works in the US, you're buying it to work outside the US. Also, if you know what the rounded plugs are for, I'd certainly appreciate any input on what they're good for.』

This "alternate" design has loose prongs that move about - not exactly a good attribute for an elctrical connector - and the body of it looks as if it could fall apart any moment. 『We've had our Z machine for just over a week. Prior to our Z, we had never owned a bread machine, nor were we bread bakers. Now, we're making a loaf a day! We love it! We've made several types using the recipes provided and also found a couple on the internet that were fast favorites. We read hundreds of reviews from various sites before deciding on the Zojiruishi. It was a little more expensive, but worth every penny. By reading the various reviews we also learned valuable "breadmaking" tips. Add vital wheat gluten to get a higher loaf. Adjusting the amount of yeast and water temperature will also give great results. We use the lighter crust setting for a softer, lighter loaf no matter what type we are making. We have not had a bad loaf yet. The blades are easy to remove once the bread has baked and clean-up is a breeze. This has turned into a family event! Lots of fun deciding which to try next and the kids love measuring and adding the extra's. We were also pleased with the versatility in not only making great loaves of bread and doughs, but also jams, cakes and even a meatloaf! (I will update once we've tried the jam recipes.) The timer setting is wonderful - waking up to the aroma of fresh baked bread is sure to put a smile on your face and start your day off right!

『This little machine is quite the performer and Zojirushi does a great job of explaining how to use it.

It's quiet and efficient. It's loaded with features that make it so much nicer than my old Breadman.

For example, it preheats the ingredients to ensure proper rising of the bread. It also keeps the bread on warm after baking to prevent sogginess. Also the paddles are designed in such a way as to reduce the probability of becoming embedded in the bread.

Plus the bread is so dang GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

『I went from not knowing if I even needed a Bread machine to not wanting to live without it! This is a very easy to use, robust machine that pops out great bread after bread. It is not small, so think about counter and cabinet space, but because the loaf is horizontal, it is not as tall as some of the others. The bread is kneaded with 2 pedals, so the loafs are nice and evenly shaped, especially when you are making sourdough loafs involving a sponge. There is the availability of 3 custom cycles to totally customize based on your own recipes, but the pre-programmed cycles cover a large variety of applications. The machine is very easy to clean and handle. I recently read that the King Arthur Flour folks use this machine exclusively in their test kitchen. I can certainly understand why.』

『We have an older type bread maker that is about 20 years old. Makes a better boat anchor that it does a bread maker. We saw this and decided to buy it even though it was very pricey. We are not sorry for spending what we did because this is an incredible machine. We bake an average of three loaves a week and other than not being real happy about the crust selection on the whole wheat setting this machine is better than 5 stars. The dual paddles and the rectangular loaf is a dream come true. This is as close to perfect as you can get in a bread machine. The meat loaf, jam and cake settings blow me away too. Clean up is a breeze. This is not our first Zojirushi product and anything they make that I have purchased has been excellent in manufacture and use. You can not go wrong with this machine.』

『We have been using our Zojirushi bread maker for several years. Currently we make about a loaf a day. We have not purchased commercial bread in months.
Sometimes the loafs are not perfect. Who cares the bread is great and as we grind our own wheat it is very nutritious.
You get used to the holes on the bottom and they are a non-issue. We give loaves to our friends and neighbors and they love it.
If things do not work as expected there are suggestions in the manual to resolve possible problems.
Our experience is that as long as there is water, flour, and yeast the bread will turn out. It may be misshapen or not taste quite right (this happens when you forget the salt) but it is always good.』
