(Sexy case. Good quality material. Good protection.)

『My girlfriend loves this case. It fits her Dell Mini 9v Hackintosh perfectly.

Upon receiving it, I was surprised by the quality of material and construction. The colors - even though basic black and white - are very bold and rich.

Overall I was expecting something far inferior and was delighted to give my girlfriend a gift that will last.

It has about an 1/8 or 1/16 in memory foam on either side - just enough to protect it, but not too much to make it bulky.

『We are happy with the monitor for the most part, but it was extremely disappointing to us when we realized that it not only doesn't have a remote control, but does not support one. That is almost a show stopper for us. We are currently struggling with purchasing a receiver, so we can hook up our PC and our DVR audio, and at least control the volume remotely, but we are not going to be able to power the monitor on or off with a remote control. Adding salt to the wound, there is no way, at least that we have found, to switch between video inputs (VGA to Component, for instance). That means that we have to physically get up and walk over to push the button on the confusing front panel interface. Wow, did I really give this three stars? I must be in a good mood.』

『This is my first large screen monitor that I just bought from Amazon. There are many ports that users can use and its speakers are loud enough for my room. It is good for gamers that you can adjust the light easily when they play in the dark place, but I am disappointed when I bought it, the price dropped $40. (Nothing But Love For The Asus VK266H)

『A little over a month ago, I received this Asus VK266H monitor from Amazon with some apprehension. Having used only CRT monitors in the past, I was concerned that an LCD monitor might not measure up to the crisp clarity of my current 21" CRT. Secondly, due to some reviews, I was concerned about the possibility of dead or stuck pixels. My final concern was light bleeding or color shifts from the bottom or top of the LCD screen. ALL of these fears were allayed with the arrival of the VK266H. Firstly, going from a 21" CRT to a 26" LCD monitor (25.5" viewable) was truly a positive shock. I'm also glad I was convinced to acquire the VK266H's 1920 X 1200 viewing aspect ratio rather than a 1080 monitor. I was also pleased the monitor sported a DVI connection port (VGA is also included) as the DVI connection is far sharper than VGA (all cables and adapters for both connection ports are included: Way-To-Go Asus!). After making my DVI connection and turning on my computer I was absolutely floored by the quality of the display. This is a beautiful display. Listen, I do a lot of work in Photoshop and my photos have never looked better than on this display. Calibration was an absolute snap using the calibration tools already provided by Apple in Leopard 10.5.x System Preferences>Displays>Color>Calibrate. I have a dual-boot system (Leopard-Vista) so no problem running the included Web Cam which has software only for Windows. Who would have thought one could purchase this kind of quality for under $300.00? The closest competitor for this size display costs literally hundreds of dollars more. If you're in the market for a large-screen LCD monitor you owe it to YOURSELF to at least check out Asus! As you may have surmised by now, I've got nothing but love for the Asus VK266H! 『This Monitor is a good buy. You will need to get used to the very akward control set up though.
The manual does a poor job of showing how this goofy control system works.

A remote would be helpful but is not available.

That said, all other aspects of this unit are excellent.

I use it for computer via VGA and Blu-ray movies etc. via HDMI. It also sports Component and DVI inputs
and includes basic monitor type sound quality with small rear facing speakers.

I use an outboard sound system and don't use the included 2 MP web cam yet.

Picture quality is superb and control over aspect ratios and color, brightness, contrast etc. is first
rate (once you learn by trial and error how to access these adjustments).

I had never heard of ASUS but "ships from and sold by Amazon" when I bought mine, gave me confidence
to try this priced right product. I'm very glad I did!』

『I bought this a year ago. It has windows mobile 6 on it. A great PDA but the support from ASUS stinks. I can find NO info or help for this PDA when I web search. About a month ago (and it's only been a year) my battery started having problems. After several phone calls and finally getting a live voice, I was sent to a website to order a battery. What came was the wrong part. I can not get a live voice to find out what to do and keep getting sent (via touch tone phone) back to a website. So I sent an e-mail with info (including order number) and was told it could be 48 hours for a reply. That was over a week ago and I still haven't heard. I'm going to send it back with a letter. Tempted to ask for a refund but I need a new battery and have NO idea where to get one. Any suggestions. I will NOT recommend this product to anyone even though it does everything I want it to. They need BETTER support. Carol who is a little more than FRUSTRATED』

『Not as user friendly as the Palms but every Palm I've had just caused me problems. I agree with the other reviewer it is not the easiest to use as MP3 player or listening to Audible recorded books. It is difficult to set up unless you go to Microsoft and read and download the knowledge base they have for Mobile 5. I still do not know how I sync the thing since it always shows a not connected message every time I try. There are only a few tweaks needed to get this handheld working very good, instead of just so-so. However this said....if I had to choose between a palm and the MyPal 626....I would go with the Asus.』

『I have p6t delux as well as this one. Rampage seems allowing me to OC a little bit more than p6t, if any meaningful speed, and of course it uses more expensive heatsinks and better looking and lightening. However, the temperatures of NB and SB in p6t are just mildly warm even OC i7 920 to 4.0GHz. There are no temp. probes for NB and SB in p6t. But I could touch it. In Rampage, both temp. were raised to>60c after 20 minutes benmark run and stayed there even after benchmark. I double-checked by touching it. They were very hot indeed. Called ASUS support. He wanted me to flush the BIOS, if still hot, return it. I did what he said. after reprogramming the bIOS, Overhit in NB and SB was still the same. So I returned it.

The MB was working but would not last long, if you overlooked some temperature reading.』

『I actually don't own this board. I own another ASUS board. But this is relevant.

ASUS tech support is ASTOUNDING. The best I have ever used by far. They answer quickly-- I've never held for more then 3-5 minutes-- and when they do, oh boy. They hire people with real, serious tech training. They listen carefully and know problem causes by heart-- they're not using an automated troubleshooting system. They suggest a solution and then wait on the line while you try it, so you don't have to go to the trouble of calling back. They don't retreat after 2 minutes to telling you that come component X is no good and you need a new one, like so many tech lines. I've been using the same MOBO (A Striker Extreme) for three years, and their support is to thank for that. Additionally, they can help the tech-unsavvy and the tech-savvy in different ways. I'm pretty in-tuned, and when the tech I spoke to realized this he told me to grab a multi-meter and start poking around, which prevented us from having to test hunches in indirect ways, saving a lot of time.

I'm posting here (and on a few other asus board reviews) because I want people to know how awesome their support is and buy their stuff for that reason. I want the top guys at ASUS to see that this business model (spend more on keeping customers happy, make more on repeat sales) can succeed in a market where it is so rare. We need to show corporations that we respond well to being treated well, and maybe one day amazing tech support will be the standard.

I'm serious: I will never own a main-board other than an ASUS as long as they keep this level of customer respect.

(Great MOBO, some design Flaws)

『First of all, let me start by saying this mobo is great, I was able to OC an i7 950, which is supposed to be locked, well, not with this MOBO, by playing with the voltage I've been able to OC my CPU, no problem.
Now, about he design flaws: very tight, not much space which limits how much freedom you have to install components, one being a decent sound card, the Intel Chip heat sink gets in the way of full size sound cards, so you are forced to keep the PCe sound card that comes with the mother board, don't get me wrong, the card is decent, but it lacks all the features the Fatality Extreme has, I wanted to have a full size card with a front control panel, but with this MOBO that's pretty much dead in the water. Kinda ruins the whole concept of "customizing" your own system.

I also agree with some reviewers about the space between vid cards, I just ordered a second BFG GTX285 and will update later on to let you know how much air flow the cards and the rest of the MOBO get once the two cards are in place, which are huge. My main concern is temperature, with such a limited amount of space, it might be difficult to circulate air through the unit.

For anybody in the market, I suggest you get the Cooler master HAF full tower, this might solve some heat issues, or at least help a bit.

Asus, you guys are the bomb, but this time I just can't understand how this design flaw was not noticed.

UPDATE: I have now two GTX285s on SLI, the space between them is minimal, the top card gets hotter than the bottom one about 4c or 5c, so what I did was, install an extra fan to blow some air directly into the cards, problem solved. Now temps. run low even on SLI.

About the sound card issue, I decided to install a full size card, because the one included with the MOBO does NOT support Dolby at all, so I was getting OK sound, even with stereo headsets. All I had to do was bend some of the chipset heat sink's pins. I have now a Creative Fatality Pro edition with Dolby Digital Live and all the goodies. BTW, the included sound card has creative's software, but a different version that's simply horrible.』
