Got this to replace our threadbare grill cover. Was pleasantly surprised at the high-quality of the product, especially considering the reasonable price! Large fits perfectly over our grill (we have the kind where the grill is in the center and there's a "shelf" on each side). You won't regret buying this cover!!! HIGHLY recommend.
This is a great cover and fits a Weber Genesis grill perfect. It is nice and thick and doesn't blow off in the wind.

I picked up this CD because Charm City Devils is opening Crüefest II this year and I wanted to hear the new band that was picked for the opening spot.

Let me tell you, I was NOT dissapointed. I put this CD in my car Tuesday and haven't taken it out. From the title track "Let's Rock n Roll" to the final track "Burn Baby Burn" this CD rocks, and at times, ROCKS HARD!

Many people are comparing Charm City Devils to AC/DC. If you like AC/DC then pick this up. I have all AC/DC's albums, and in my humble opinion, I think Charm City Devils has a more updated sound, and at times, a heavier sound. Being compared to AC/DC is a compliment for any band, but if you aren't a fan of AC/DC, don't let that stop you from getting this. The vocals are awesome, the musicmanship is amazing... Charm City Devils is going to be the suprise hit of Crüefest II, I promise!

In a year, when all your friends start asking you if you've ever heard of Charm City Devils, be the one that says "Where have you been?" Don't let this one pass you by!

These young women have the most fantastic voices ever. Anyone of any age would love their music.
I have not heard anything I could not heartily endorse from the Celtic Woman and this is no exception. Sung with great feeling and intensity and great accompaniment.
Magnificent blending of voices and simple but beautiful staging. Easy on both the ears and the eyes! Very relaxing and inspirational to hear such artistry. A generous number of selections and worth every
cent I paid for it.
Like I've said in other Celtic Woman reviews....this is an outstanding CD and DVD of their singing at a castle in Ireland. The music will soothe your soul, make you clap and shout, and give you a WONDERFUL music experience. I listen to them every night....what a group!!!
I first saw Celtic Woman on TV (channel 13) and fell in love with their style of music. The women who sing on this CD have fabulous voices and the instrumental accompaniment is outstanding. Beautiful and relaxing! Highly recommend it!
Second only to Riverdance as an international Irish showbiz phenomenon, previous installments of this Platinum-selling extravaganza have become beloved PBS standards. The original buxom quartet of female singers, Lisa, Maev, Orla, and Chloe, have duly been joined by Hayley and are, as usual, backed by a full symphony orchestra and choir, plus enough traditional instruments (the house fiddler, Mairead, is a powerhouse) to keep things legit. The material ranges from folkloric ("Dúlaman" is best known from Clannad's legendary rendering), to a standard from another Celtic nation ("Caledonia," Dougie McLean's love letter to his native Scotland), to classical lite (Handel's poignant "Laschia Ch'io Pianga"), to movie hits ("Somewhere Over The Rainbow" in a delicately lovely, acappella, close-harmony treatment), to homegrown New Age (Enya's "Newgrange"). Most tracks are produced to turn, presented in the aural equivalent of Technicolor or day-glo, in which colors pop while diverging ever so slightly from nature. In short, although the album offers fresh material, it covers old ground -- but this is exactly what the act's target audience expects and desires. Fans of acoustic folk would likely find the prevailing aesthetic a touch garish, but fans of Sarah Brightman and Il Divo will be diverted and thrilled. Early Childhood Classics is another great music CD from Hap Palmer. It has been a wonderful addition to our children's music collection. We bought this CD for our 2 year old but the whole family enjoys listening to it just as much as she does. The music is catchy and upbeat with easy to sing lyrics. Our 5 year old quickly memorized all the songs and sings them constantly. She knows the lyrics well enough that she can sing through the instrumental versions without a pause. We all have our favorites: our two year old loves "I'm a Little Teapot;" our five year old loves, "Old Mac Donald;" my husband and I like, "I'm Glad I'm Me;" and we all have had many laughs with "One Two, Buckle My Shoe." It is just a really fun CD and definitely one of our favorites!
He is so easy to listen to over and over and over as kids like to. My kids sing along and enjoy his versions.
Great change from other kids CDs. This one is really fun to listen to, and doesn't make your ears bleed. Have been a Hap Palmer fan since I was his target market, and now it is fun to see my little girl enjoying it too. Only disappointment was the word change in the Elephant, but I had already taught my daughter the original lyrics. LOL.
Love Hap Palmer. Bought this one to replace a lost one. My 22 month old&5 year old both love it. They listen to it continually&never seem to tire of it. It's been requested a bit too much as I have found Hap singing in my head more than once!
Due to being a preschool teacher I am very fimilar with Hap Palmer songs and have enjoyed doing them with all the young children. Because I have a few of his CD's, this one just adds a little more variation to the classics which makes it fun for the special little people in my life, my grandchildren.

This release rids itself of tiresome attempts to turn performances of simple songs like "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" into minor personal masterpieces and instead injects its de rigueur dose of creativity directly into familiar lyrics. For instance, while there's the usual cow and pig on Old MacDonald's farm, we're also introduced to Henrietta's House, where there's a cat, Zebediah's zoo with its tiger, and the puppy in Pamelina's pet shop. Here is a joyful collection of all time favorite activity songs for young children. Hap Palmer's unique renditions preserve the charm and simplicity of traditional songs while adding new, original lyrics and melodies to extend and enrich the familiar classics.

The simplicity and repetition of these songs guarantee active participation by encouraging children to sing and move with the music. While having fun and participating actively, children develop motor and musical skills and learn about animals, counting, identification of body parts, and phonics. I locked myself out of my van again today and I thought GREAT! I'M SAVED!! I have my key safe...not so fast! I retrieved the keysafe, dialed in my combination...and the dumb thing wouldn't open. As I said this is a number I can't forget...it wasn't an error on my part. I eventually had to break the silly thing to get my key out and get into the car...so it isn't as secure as you might think, it was quite easy to break as it is plastic, I was able to get the one side open enough and just gave a twist and was able to get my key out. It was a great idea...but not if the combination lock stops working.
It's small and very discrete with it's magnetic backing that can be mounted very easily. The combo lock is easy to open/close. If you are looking for a secure hide-a-key this serves that purpose. I would recommend it.
This locking key case is precisely what I was looking for. It is very well designed, and very well built. The magnet that retains the key case in a secreted spot, is extremely strong. So if you hide it somewhere on your car, there would be little, or no, chance of losing it.

If you need a reliable. easy to hide, key case, this is the one I would recommend to anmyone.
I've bought 3 of these boxes and they are a great idea. However, after a few weeks the door jams and I can't open or close it.
Depending on where you're leaving this Key Case, it may not suit your needs. This is simply used to store a key, just in case I lock myself out.

- Lock
The combination lock is handy, especially since it's programmable and it has the sliding cover. This keeps dirt and grime from clogging the dials.

- Magnet
The magnet is VERY STRONG! Whether you're hanging the case vertically or upside down, rest assured that this item will stay in place. It comes with an extra piece of metal and the backside is adhesive. So if your hiding place doesn't have anything metallic, you can stick the metal plate onto a non-metal surface. But I have to reiterate how strong the magnet is...I feel like the magnet is so strong that wherever you affix the metal plate, I don't think the adhesive will last too long before the magnet rips it off! You can try it...but you might want to consider using some glue after your super duty magnet rips the plate right off the adhesive!

- Plastic
Yes, the key case is made out of plastic. No, I haven't tried to break it with my bare hands...but since it IS made out of plastic, I can see that it wouldn't be a very hard task. Other reviews have said that they can pull it open with their own bare hands. Bravo. If a dude's going to break into my car/house, please use the key instead of jimmying my lock, breaking my window or kicking down my door. It will cost less to replace my lock...shoot, maybe I can even sell my old lock!

This item is not for the super paranoid. If you're afraid of transients or people with malicious intent to get a hold of your key, this item is not for you. GE states that the combination lock is an "extra level of deterrence." Take that with a grain of salt. If you're the least bit worried about having your key out of your own control, I don't think this item is for you. Try one of the more durable keyboxes made for the super paranoid and professional real estate agents.

I own several of these key lock boxes. They work fine even with the foam in the way. I just rip the foam out. It should be big enough to fit a credit card with a some cash&key for my children to carry out to trips and stuff.
Otherwise, a good product with plenty of uses.
The combo box seems to be 'strong' and secure, obviously though someone could break it open, but it seems to stay put and I know the key will still be in there.

The smaller one though lacks any kind of secure, positive closure. Just a cheezy plastic clip/latch and a strip of elastic inside. I dont feel too confident that my key will still be in this box when I need it. Its less secure than my old metal box or even the hook and loop ones I saw the other day at a large mass-merchandiser.

Both compartments (the locking stor-a-key&the normal stor-a-key case) are way too small for my 8 cm car key (2001 VW Passat). It will not even fit the smaller valet key (the one w/o the remote unlock button), which looks similar to the key depicted in the item picure. No amount of cramming it in will force the compartment to close; I estimate a 7.5 cm car key would fit. This will work with a house key, but then again, so would hiding your house key under a doormat (especially b/c it's made of plastic that can be broken). I chose this device because it has the magnet to attach to my car, and it is completely useless for that purpose b/c it is WAY too small for any modern car key. BOOOOOO!
The 2 key cases in this set are very basic and frankly a little disappointing. The non-locking case seems like it could open by itself since it does not really close all that securely. The locking case could esily be smashed open with a small rock or any tool so it really is only going to keep a child from getting access to the key.
I have a tendency of locking myself out of the house and the last time I had my 9 month-old son with me. That was it! I needed to leave a key outside but didn't want to do the "under the rock" thing. I just didn't feel comfortable. This system is great! You can set your code and leave it anywhere. The only problem I had was it has a foam filler inside and if you push the key all the way in, it's very difficult to get the key out. My husband used a flat-head screwdriver and scraped out the filler and it's been fine since. I definitely recommend it!

works extremely well. nice close cut. spend the few dollars more and get this model. fits in you hand nicely and is quiet.
My old Wahl beard trimmer died after many years of extraordinary service. I loved it and simply wanted to replace it. This one looked similar, and it allowed for the use of rechargeable batteries - a plus. This was nothing like its predecessor. It was really loud and rough, with ill-fitting and incomprehensible attachments. To top it all off, it did not do an even job, so the trim looked poor. I sent it back. Amazon was great, but I won't buy a Groomsnan again. I'm wondering about Wahl in general -- has all their stuff gone downhill?
It's a pretty well built and overall usable trimmer, but the attachments are kind of a pain to use. There are two types it comes with:

1) There are several "fixed length" attachments which are easy to use, but aren't labeled and all look very similar.

2) There is an adjustable attachment which changes between lengths 1-5, but it is a pain to get on the trimmer and I feel like I'm going to break the thing when I change the lengths.

Once you get the desired attachment on, it's smooth sailing. I lost the charger for mine and think I'm going to spend the extra $10 on the Remington MB-300. That model also claims not to need oil on the blades. The Wahl comes with oil to use with it but if you forget to use it you will end up with rusty blades like I did.
I had trouble with this product from the very beginning. The extension broke off within a day and now the razor is unusable. It remains that way to this day.
Works good to keep my goatee neatly trimmed. Lots more attachments than I will ever use, but I suppose that is by design for the trimmer to fit all applications.

(A Classic Never Dies!)

The first time I tasted a Charms Blow Pop I was just a kid. I was hooked instantly. They are fruity, tangy and best of all, there's gum on the inside! It tastes so wonderful when you finally bite into the pop and you get that mix of gum and fruity hard candy. Delicious! This box was wonderful and very tasty, although I have to say that they put in way too many cherry pops. Those are my least favorite, and at the end, all I had left were a bunch of cherry pops. I ended up just giving the rest of them away at Halloween. That being said, the box was still great. It's nice to be able to eat a Blow Pop anytime you want!

I grew up in Denver during the 80's but spent my summers in Michigan, where I could bye single suckers for $.10 at the corner store. This is the first time I receive a product (jewelry) which looks exactly like the picture. It arrived quickly, nicely packaged and it looks great on my wrist!
Bought this bracelet as a xmas gift for my daughter. The gold tone was visibly wearing within the first 2 days she owned the product. She did not shower or sleep with the bracelet. After one week the bracelet looked horrible and my daughter no longer wears it. No response from seller.

It is really cute, a little on the small (and heavy!) side. After a day of normal wear, i did notice the silver tones underneath. I would not wear this as your every day jewelry. As an above review said, I would save up for the silver stuff. Maybe its supposed to look antiqued, who knows...
I own both the starter bracelet and necklace that I bought at the Juicy Couture store. Since it is only gold plated the gold color strips and chips away with normal wear leaving your bracelet looking cheap as it reveals the brass underneath. If you get anything with rinestones, the rinestones may fall out(mostly on the charms). I do like them, and everywhere I go people always compliment me on them, even if they don't know about Juicy. I would say, they are cute and you can buy them, but don't expect them too last too long. The very best Juicy Couture jewelry to buy is the sterling silver but the prices are significantly higher. For a charm that in gold plating costs 40, the same one in sterling silver can be 150! My sister just received a sterling necklace that costs about 300! So spending about 30 to 60 on the starter gold plated necklace and bracelet and charms, is not too bad(although the charms are more expensive, but the bracelet and necklace look really nice without them). The best things to buy at Juicy are the tracksuits, purses, and t-shirts. Be careful with jewelry and even some of their shoes. So in closing, I love everything at Juicy, you feel like a princess when you wear anything from there, just don't expect their lower end jewelry to last in the same state you bought it in for very long. Definitely don't wear in the shower, pool, things like that to extend the life of it. And if you can afford the sterling silver, (as they don't have solid gold) jewelry, then that would be your best bet. Hope this helps!:)

i love this movie for how bad it is. everything is over acted, but i love it. its so bad it s good!!! i love how over the top it is. and anyone who says its the worst movie ever should go watch movies made by ed wood. now those are some really bad movies.
I have about worn out my VHS copy of this movie so I purchased the DVD and the CD for the car. I watch it occasionaly just for the soundtrack.
Don't foget to crank up the Surround Sound when you pop this cult gem into your disc player! The director's cut is not the version you saw on local broadcast TV but you will be able to forgive the four explicatives uttered in the courtroom scene as you wipe the tears from laughing out loud from your eyes.

How John Waters assembled this stellar cast, plus the trials and tibulations of making the film are all covered in what is about the best bonus features I have yet to see.

Johnny Depp rules (need I say more?), Iggy Pop inspires, Tracie Lords smolders, Ricky Lake is adorable, and every cast and crew member put 1000% into this film with every bit of it showing up on the screen.

Every song is perfect and I dare you not to hit the back button to watch the scene again after the rendition of "Please Mr.Jailer"

Like the episodes, the captions seem to flipflop. I can't prove it, but I'd swear there are at least 2 captioners working on the set, and one's better than the other/s. Contrary to the item listing, the set IS, obviously, closed captioned. The captions are fair, overall--some deletions, and some music seems to be kind of forgotten at times.
Great movie to watch. I've watched all the episodes. You can't miss them. If you miss one episode, then you'll have to wait for the reruns. Its better to see it first.
This season of charmed was to die for the best year for the charmed ones what I loved about year seven was more magic more demon and it was 7 times the fun charmed is the best show ever but I didn't like the way amazon shipped out this season boxset it was so defective and what make me made is that the replacement that was shipped to me came out same way as well not so happy with amazon.

I am not a movie person, but this was one of my favorite movies when I was an older teen ager. It was one movie I saw more than once, and I am now delighted to have it in my home.

The opening music was a little dicey but the movie is fine.
With a Song In My Heart, touches the very core of the soul and heart. It has comedy, tragedy, tearful moments and miracles, all with love. This is a story I highly recommend to everyone. The actors are fantastic; the music is wonderful and enjoyable. I play it over and over.
I have been waiting for this one. The music is great and Susan Hayward never looked so beautiful. Her gowns could be worn on the red carpet today. What impressed me most is the extras the set had. They had John Burns her second
husband comment on his marriage with Jane and also the author of Jane's biography. The color was great. I also bought a second copy for my daughter so she wouldn't be taking mine. May I also mention when she sang "I walk alone" to the handsome Robert Wagner still makes me cry.
I love this movie.
Great show! Ms. Hayward was never lovelier, and anyone who hasn't heard Jane Froman sing is missing something in life. I'd been searching for the VCR tape awhile, and then here's the DVD. I thank the producers of this DVD; and thank Amazon for making it available. My only criticism of the DVD was the lack of any clips of Ms. Froman singing (or even speaking) in the Special Features.

I love this wallet (very cute&multi-functional as a wallet and purse - see all the above reviews raving about it), but be prepared to replace it in about 6 months. The material begins tearing away from the outer edges. After which point, it looks more ridiculous than chic. It also cannot accommodate a lot of cards, bills or any change.
I purchased this wallet about a year ago and it still looks like new. Both my mom and mother-in-law liked it so much that they each ordered one for themselves. The only drawback I could say is that it doesn't offer much space, but that, to me, is a plus. That was the reason my mother in law bought it...because her poor wallet had become a mess of stuff she didn't need and she couldn't find the important things. You carry exactly what you need and it is always easy to find.

I purchased this for my wife, who wears it almost daily. If you wear it in the house in winter, it allows you to turn the thermostat down, saving energy and money, while staying perfectly comfortable. Well-made, nice looking, light as a feather. Perfect for layering, too, as under a rain or wind jacket. This has for two months been her most-used article of clothing. Could easily pay for itself in the first month.

I received camelbak in perfect condition.
It came on time.
I'm happy with this purchase.
I have found this to be quite adequate for trail runs and shorter bike trips. I am small, and it fits perfectly. My only problem with it is that the capacity simply is not enough for longer rides. It is okay on the trail runs as I normally in a location I can refill, but when you are out on the highway in the middle of nowhere, you want a bit more liquid than this one holds. On the plus side though, it rides well and is extremely comfortable. I solved the problem by simply buying different capacity units to use for different events. This is a good product, but I am marking off one star simply because it does not hold as much as I thought it would. Probably more my fault that the product though, I must admit. I should have researched a bit better. That is one of the problems you have buying online without seeing the actual product.
I purchased this with the intent of doing 10 milers and half marathons in summertime Iraq, and its capacity is perfect. My aim was to have something to sip, to avoid that dry mouthed feeling, without much weight or inconvenience.

There is minimal bouncing, if the straps are adjusted well, and I hook the tube into the webbing on the opposite strap to keep it from bobbing around. The lack of a smoother way to take care of the tube is the only reason I can't give it five stars.

It rides very comfortably; I haven't had any issues with chafing, and often forget I'm wearing it (after the first 3-4 miles, once things settle down).

I wouldn't bother with a pack for shorter runs, but this won't be big enough for longer ones if you're a guzzler. I still want a full bottle of water when I finish running. Also on size, the zippered pocket is outstanding for carrying a couple of ID/credit cards and a key, plus perhaps some chapstick or other small item, but nothing much larger.

I had some sloshing issues that were taken care of when I realized extra air needed to be squeezed/sucked out before running.

In short: love it!

I love the fit of the Camelbak Charm and I have very little bounce when running, even when the bladder is empty. I regularly use it on my runs. Anything over 6 miles though and I have to fill it up at least once...especially in when running in the desert heat. This can be annoying, but I plan my runs around where I know I'll be able to refill. Unfortunately it doesn't have nearly enough storage. I put my key and cellphone in the zippered pocket and keep my gels in my shorts pockets as that's about the only things that will fit in the Charm.

The latest installment in this series has Rachel heading up to Michigan to help Jenks retrieve his son and help her save Nick, her ex-boyfriend, who has been captured by some were's who hired him to find them a very powerful artifact that he refused to give to them when he discovered what it could do.

The character development here continues to be impressive and the tension between Rachel and Ivy gets boosted when she begins to falter about the tightrope they seem to be walking about sharing blood and a deeper relationship with the potential for Rachel to become Ivy's scion.

Black magic seeps into Rachel's life as well as she is forced to use it to turn Jenks into human sized and allow herself to turn into a were. While we don't see any demons in this story the taint on her aura is a disruptive enough force in Rachel's life that she has to continuously work to convince herself that she is casting these curses for all the right reasons.

The plot here is solid and we continue to gain further insights into all the main characters. Jenks as a full sized being is pretty interesting but I have to admit that the repetitive commentary Rachel makes about how hot he is and how she needs to remember that he is a married Pixie was getting on my nerves after about the tenth comment. While I enjoyed the opportunity to see how he would operate as a full sized guy, I definitely prefer him in the four inch variety. He is simply a lot more fun in that size range.

I did enjoy the story here but I have to admit that Rachel's endless stressing out about virtually everything and feeling the need to detail those stresses on every page is getting old really quick. It seems that the author can't go more than a few paragraphs without reminding us about how tough Rachel has it when dealing with her personal life. Certainly there are plenty of things to stress her out and it is ongoing and every changing but to have her repeat, page after page, everything that is bothering her (and its the same stuff over and over) sort of made me want the story to just move on and come to a conclussion after a while.

I do definitely still like this series and have enjoyed it thus far. My criticisms are not major ones and I do look forward to discovering what comes next for Rachel and the gang.
This is my 4th Hollows audio book and I've enjoyed it as much as the first. The character depictions provide as much entertainment as the story line, sometimes more. It's tough to imagine a 6 foot pixie or an attractive, caring vampire, but there they are, unfolding, word by word, right in front of you. With tongue in cheek humor, not unlike Koontz's work, each of Kim Harrison's novels is just plain fun from beginning to end. I hope that she can keep it up forever.
Set in a modern world just a little bit different from our own, a world in which witches, vampires, werewolves and other supernatural beings live side by side with `normal' humans. Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan is a modern, single witch living in Cincinnati. She is a `runner' which means part detective, part bounty hunter part all round mouthy, pain in the butt to the forces of authority and stuffed shirts.

Rachel's room mates and business partners include Ivy, a vampire and Jenx, a pixie with 54 children. Between them they take on some of the best and worst problems in the Cincinnati underworld.

In the 4th book in the series Fist Full of Charms Rachel is called out of town to rescue Nick, her ex-boy friend, who has fallen foul of a pack of werewolves and needs rescuing. Traveling to northern Michigan with Jenx, magically changed to human size to back her, Rachel finds out that Nick has in fact stolen, then hidden, the werewolf equivalent of the `holy grail' with it they can start a war for world domination and they will do anything to get it back.

Harrison takes a risk by taking her characters out of their usual comfort range and it is a risk that pays off. While I usually like these books, there are times I find Rachel a little slow in seeing where the bad guy is heading and she tends to get caught up in too many sub plots. In Fist' Harrison feels comfortable enough to let the story go on its own power and the result is clean and straight forward without losing any of the richness of the telling.

The other nice thing about taking Rachel out of Cincinnati is that for once the story doesn't deal with the usual cast of bad apples: Cincinnati god-father, Trent Kalimak, and the demon Al, who otherwise make regular appearances in the books. While well written characters, it gets old fast when they show up in every tale.

Overall while I do like and recommend this series, Fist Full of Charms is the best so far. Breaking out of a mold before it sets she keeps her characters fresh and familiar at the same time, a heck of an accomplishment. In a well developed world Harrison flexes her muscles just a little and the result is...magical.

I'm really on the fence over this book. While I loved many things about it, there were some things I honestly couldn't care less about. I admit that I wasn't too keen on having Nick back in the story. I was actually happy to see him leave Cincinnati and out of Rachel's life. Unfortunately, that joy was short-lived. Now he's back turning everyone's life upside down. And not only is he content to risk his life - nooooo - he has to involve Jenk's son as well. I knew from book one that there was something off with the guy; this book proved my suspicions were right. So Rachel and Jenks partner up once again (yay!) to save Jax and Nick.

It was easy enough saving Jax, but it would take more than Rachel's regular charms to rescue Nick. Oh, if only this witch weren't so kind. Rachel does the unbelievable in spite of her friends' warnings. Now she's dabbling in black magic, trying to outwit Weres and maintaining her sanity amidst all the chaos surrounding her complicated life. As Jenks would probably say: 'Tink's undies Rachel, stay indoors for once!' Snuggle up with Kisten and leave Nick to rot.

Like the first three books, A FISTFUL OF CHARMS is packed full of surprises, action and thrills. Harrison introduces us to new characters guaranteed to put a tasty spin to future books. However, as much as I enjoyed meeting those belligerent wolves, parts of this book left me frustrated to the point that I found myself putting the book down to take a breather - I'd like to refer to them as those Nick moments. Frankly, I share Ivy and Jenk's sentiments that Rachel should have let the Weres fry Nick's backside. Then again I would get to those parts where I simply couldn't resist reading a few pages more eager for more information - those were the Jenks moments. I thought the best part of this book was how Jenks truly came to life. I felt like I was discovering a dear friend, learning about his fears and desires. It was a real and, at times, devastating revelation that I sometimes felt a lump in my throat worrying about Jenks and his brood. In case you haven't noticed, I really love Jenks.

I wish I could rate this book higher; however, the perpetual anguish that drifts off the pages does wear thin after a while. There were moments when I was literally groaning thinking how good it would make me feel if I could just shake the characters and tell them to get over it. I guess I was on a real high after reading the third book that to find myself quite detached half the time while reading this was quite disappointing. The three-star rating is certainly not an indication of Hamilton's writing; it is just in comparison to the preceding books, which I thought were better. I remain a fan of the series and can't wait to get my hands on the next books.
#4 in the Rachel Morgan "Hollows" paranormal mystery cum paranormal romance series. Why, why, WHY does every good paranormal series I read start out so great and slowly devolve into a pseudo-romance full of sexual tension, descriptions of clothing, hair, body parts and with a veritable smorgasbord of sexual choices for the heroine?

I really liked the first two of this series. The third one was okay, but I could see where it was headed, which is probably why I took so long to get to this one. It's happened to sooooo many series I started out raving about, though...it drives me insane!! The story, the real story of what is happening in this paranormal world between the vamps and Weres and Pixies and witches, etc. gets lost in all the sweating, mingling of scents, rapidly beating hearts, descriptions of washboard abs, sexy bottoms, leather clothing, exchanging of bodily fluids. Bah!

I finished this book two days ago but I can barely recall what it was about. And it's rather an irrelevant point since I won't be continuing the series anyway. I'm sad about it, because I really liked Rachel in the first couple books and I enjoy the author's writing style. I'm in no way, shape or form a prude, it's just that it feels like sex and sexual tension is so pervasive in so many books, often taking over the story line, and it's frustrating as all get out. I know the romance part is what a lot of people like about this genre, but personally if I want to read 'romance' I will pick up some good erotica instead of what passes for romance in most books.

Lots of good pictures to look at when planning your kitchen, but I did not find very many that screamed me. I guess I was hoping for finding a complete kitchen that I would like to try to replicate, but instead just found 2-3 small ideas to incorporate. Overall, well worth the value to add to my growing home improvement library.
We love this book's great ideas, since we are looking to restore our country farmhouse kitchen. It is nice that the pictures are all in 1 book, rather than a million magazines you have to save. Nice pictures and tips.
Over the years I've owned a lot of books and passed many of them onto friends - not caring if they ever make their way back to me. Country Living's 500 Kitchen Ideas however, is NOT one of the ones I lend freely.

Owning this book is better than having 1,000 back issues of the magazine on hand when you're looking for inspiration on design and decor of your kitchen. Furthermore all styles of country are well displayed within the pages - from downright rustic to up-country sophistication. There are some very unique designs as well as some pre-made styles (made beautiful by enhancing accents, accessories and elements).

If you love country kitchens, even if you just love country decor, this book is money well spent. Get one and start re-designing your own kitchen from the ideas gleaned within the pages.
Amazing idea book. Every page is a spectacular, interesting kitchen that is refreshingly original. What I love about this book is it includes working with what you already have. They picture these appliances that are those horrible 80's style BUT they somehow make it look good. It also includes kitchens of various sizes because let's face it if you have a 20x20 open floor plan kitchen it's easy to make it look good. They have everything in this book from clean white/stainless steel kitchens to crazy colored kitchens with 50's appliances. I stopped dog earring the pages after I realized I was doing it with every other page.
This book is exactly what I wanted. It has a lot of different ideas and plans. I am glad I purchased it.

I had never heard of the "Little Robots," but since my three year old son is obesessed with robots I decided to give it a try. It's a great video featuring several shorter cartoons. My son LOVES watching it and we have watched it over and over...
At last on DVD, the sensational British kids' TV show from Cosgrove- Hall, producers of Danger Mouse and Count Duckula. This DVD is copyrighted 2006 Fox, and a Little Robots movie made the rounds of a few theaters in early 2007. Based on the book by Mike Brownlow, the show centers around the antics of about ten robots, animated with the care we've come to associate with Nick Parks' Wallace and Gromit. Each episode is about ten minutes long. You only get four episodes on this DVD, which makes the DVD about 40 minutes long. That seems pricey, but this is one kids will watch over and over and adults will likely find themselves watching along. My DVD included an activity book(let), but I don't know if this is an introductory offer or will be in all copies of the DVD. A standout in the recent glut of animation, Little Robots raises the bar for both quality and creativity with adventures even the youngest can enjoy.

The DVD starts off with ads for other cartoons and animated shows, which is interesting to watch once, so you have to hit the menu button on the remote to get to the shows. I'd rather these ads were put in the special features section, as with movie trailers on films and Coming Attractions and New Releases on TV DVDs, so you could watch them if and when you liked. I promise I'd watch them-- once. Episodes include: Robot Race Day, The Hiccalots, The Sound of Music, and One Hundred.
My granddaughter loves this DVD. I got it for her for Christmas and she has just about worn it out!

"Lucas, me Quiera a Mi" is a very funny black gay comedy. It is almost pure camp with an outrageous cast of characters. Even though much of the film is cliché, it is still one of the funniest films I have seen in a long time. Three gay men are living together but can't seem to pay the rent so they decide it bring in a fourth roommate. The need for the roommate is immediate as their landlady is threatening to evict them but they are very particular about who this new roommate will be.
The guys set up an interviewing process and it is obvious that the only guy who can fill the bill is the last guy to come to talk to them--Lucas. When Lucas does not show up at a meeting later, the guys begin to worry. When they open the door to the apartment they see something that they did not expect. But what has happened to Lucas is partly due with the guys themselves.
The film is the definition of fluff. Naturally all three guys fall in love with Lucas and when this is realized, we flashback as each of the three gives his confession of love with Lucas who they found murdered in their flat. It later turns out that Lucas was the missing lover of one of two policewomen who come to investigate the crime. When the murder cannot be solved, the body had to be disposed of. This doesn't seem like much of a plot but when you meet the characters who represent every stereotype, you can't help laughing.

What an enjoyable comedy! The plot is so far-fetched, the acting so over-the-top, and the script chock full of delicious camp, that the movie is a joy to watch. Best friends, Dani, Toni and Carlos all fall head-over-heels in lust with their new roommate, jealousy comes between them. But Lucas isn't quite the nice guy they imagined, and when he's found murdered, the bizarre 'investigation' that follows implicates everyone as the possible killer...it just happens that Dani, Toni and Carlos are more concerned with proving who was Lucas' actual lover, rather than defending their innocence!

My one qualm is with the subtitle job: the translations for the dialog sometimes don't match what's being said. It catches the gist of the moment, but there are British-isms that might throw viewers on this side of the Atlantic. Folks who are fairly fluent in Spanish will have a better time switching off the subtitles and just enjoying the film.

By no means an Oscar winner or masterpiece, "Lucas Me Queria a Mi" is just good fun all around. Highly recommended for a night of chuckles with a delicious gay twist.

PERDONA BONITA, PERO LUCAS ME QUERIA A MI (roughly translated means ' Pardon me Duckie, but Lucas loves Me!) is a piece of fluff from Spain that is so over the top that it is almost Daliesque. Were it not for a fairly strong cast this little film could be mistaken for a low budget TV series type project.

Toni (Jordi Mollà), Dani (Roberto Correcher) and Carlos (Pepón Nieto) are three gays living together in a flat and find their rent is so past due that they are to be evicted unless they come up with some fast cash. Their flat has an extra room, they advertise for a tenant, interview an endless groups of hilariousmisfits and finally settle on the hunky Lucas (Alonso Caparrós) with whom all three fall in love! The scene flashes forward three months and when Lucas doesn't show up at the apartment the three begin to confess that each is enamored with and seeing Lucas secretly. When Lucas cannot be found atthe usual designated meeting places the three return to their flat to find Lucas murdered in his bed!

The police are called, the policewomen are bizarre beyond words and it is discovered that Lucas is the missing lover of one of the two women. In a very high camp setting each of the three roommates 'confesses' his own dalliance with the dead Lucas (this is done with flashbacks that paint Lucas in the imagined delusional image of each), various 'witnesses' contribute their views, and finally when the murder cannot be solved the entire group disposes of the corpse in an odd manner and the way in which the story ends is hilarious.

Some may be offended by the stereotypes that represent every character, but since each of the characters is campy and ludicrous no one type is damaged intentionally. The clichés are broad and the humor is pushed to extremes, but the little film bounces merrily along as the bit of fluff it is. The actors truly make it better than the writers/directors Dunia Ayaso and Félix Sabroso material. Grady Harp, May 05

This is a movie I had to make myself stay with for the first 20 minutes. I was rewarded with a nasty black comedy, some fine performances and a satisfying take on the worm-that-turns theme. Hugo (Hugo Metsers) and Goof (Roeland Fernhout) are two buddies in Amsterdam who pick up foreign backpackers, charm them, seduce them and then steal their money. They also rip out the women's picture pages from their passports as trophies, which they post in a sexual conquest shrine they have in the apartment they share. Hugo is the dominant one, cynical, cold-hearted and selfish. Goof goes along; he's a follower, a nice enough guy with an open grin and a fairly good heart. Then they meet Lara (Vlatka Simac), and the games really begin. She says she's Russian and draws such a picture of Siberia that Goof falls in love with her and wants to take her back there. She moves in with the two. Hugo doesn't like it, or her. Before long it's clear that Lara is playing games of her own...and it's unclear just who is being hustled.

Westdijk is a young Dutch director who gives this film all the fancy angles, fast cuts, flashes of black and white that fans of Run Lola Run and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels could wish for. The movie began working for me, finally, because of three things. First, the dawning realization that these two hustlers just may have met their match. Second, the performance of Vlatka Simac. She has big eyes, a calm face and manages to appear desirable and probably untrustworthy at the same time. Third, the performance of Roeland Fernhout. He really has a goofy, open smile. It's easy to like him even though what he does to the girls he and Hugo pick up is not very nice. When he falls for Lara, then realizes what the score really is, he pulls off a triple play which is funny and satisfying.

I wound up liking this movie, but it's one of those films, I think, that you need to give a chance to develop before making up your mind. The DVD picture and audio is fine. Although a good portion of the film is in Dutch with subtitles, much of the story also is in English, the common language Lara and Goof (and Hugo) can speak.

Robert Jan Westdijk's SIBERIA (Home Vision) is an edgy film about Dutch scam artists -- cavalier Hugo (Hugo Metsers) and his submissive sidekick Goof (Roeland Fernhout). They seduce and rob female backpackers visiting Amsterdam and then rip out the identity pages of their victims' passports as a souvenir in their private competition to collect IDs from around the world. They keep these mementos and the stolen loot in a cabinet shrine at Goof's place where they both live.

Things change quickly when they meet street smart Lara (Vlatka Simac), from Siberia. To Hugo's dismay, and against their self-proclaimed rules, Goof falls in love with Lara (who knows nothing of their crimes) and invites her to stay at their place. This creates problems with their ongoing scam. Soon, love sick Goof suggests to Hugo that the three use their ill-gotten gains for a trip to Siberia. Hugo says no, that he and Goof must continue their competition of seduction and robbery with the winner taking all the money. To say more would spoil this deliciously amoral and cynical story of greed, sex and deception. "Siberia" is a cold-hearted, funny and sometimes explicit film about a very twisted friendship.

Shot on location in Amsterdam, this great looking movie is artfully edited with time-lapse and grainy black and white moments. Junkie XL's urgent techno score reflects the amped images of the druggy city and the speedy, triangulating, twisty plot.

I've spent a lot of time with this movie, because I helped design the packaging. Even after the number of times I've watched it, I still enjoy it. Siberia is entertaining and interesting, not a movie you have to really think about to watch. It's definately something that 20-somethings will really enjoy, but that older audiences might find a little trite. It's a great flickto vege out too; total fluff.

Just as Hugo warns him not to, Goof falls for the enigmatic beauty and all hell breaks loose. Lara, as it turns out, is on to her would-be seducers--and can be just as cruel and clever. Robert Jan Westdijk's sophomore effort is an entertainingly mean spirited (and occasionally sexually explicit) romp set, likeRun Lola Run, to an energetic techno beat.--Kathleen C. Fennessy
