Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (THE BEST!!!) 『I love the design; it has a great grip and allows the wine to pass through easily. It also has a very convenient stand and makes a really cool noise when you pour the wine into it. I love this product and best of all it works great! I never thought it would make a difference but it really does! Its a great gift for all my friends who LOVE wine. I think it's a must have if you enjoy wine!』
(Awesome Design!) 『I love the way the Vin02 is so easy to hold, the other wine aerator I used was tough to grip, the Vino2 has these beautiful curves that allow we to hold, thus making it easy to pour through. This design and product looks like a work of art. Looks great and works well. 』
(Best Aerator Hands Down) 『We have been looking into aerators for the last week, after seeing what is on the market and reading the reviews in the wine magazines, we were extremely impressed with the VIno2. We purchased one and we agree 100% this is the best on the market. You can see how this can change the way your reds taste in seconds. The price and design are first rate, and the packaging alone is leeps and bounds above the rest. This product is awesome!』
(We love our Vino2) 『The Vino2 works perfect with young reds and is an awesome product. I highly recommend this product.
It opens up the wine's bouquet immediately like it has been poured by a sommelier decanting an entire bottle, but now by the glass!!!
I just bought 4 more at this great price for gifts.
This is a great deal for a great, great product.』
(Its about time) 『I love this product, I drink wine by the glass most of the time. The Vino2 makes it easy to decanter just the amount I want to drink. You can smell the wine breath right away it realy does open up the flavors of the wine. I leave it on the counter right next to my open bottle of wine because it looks so cool. I wish I had this in the 90's for all the great wine avalible. I highly reccommend the Vino2 for a gift.

The album was weak and he came off as another gimmick. Deliverance was a great album that proved me wrong and showed that Bubba Sparxxx was capable of giving his best backed up by Timbaland and Organized Noize production. This album here stinks. It has its moments with tight tracks like Represent, The Otherside feat Petey Pablo and Sleepy Brown(which sounds like a leftover from Deliverance) and Hey(A Little Gratitude). But these songs are offset by hot garbage tracks like Ms New Booty feat Ying Yang Twins(who thought that this collabo was a good idea?), As The Rims Spin, That Man feat Duddy Ken and Sleepy Brown, Claremount Lounge feat Killer Mike and Cool Breeze(AWFUL) and Wonderful. Bubba's intentions were good when he made Aint Life Grand feat Scar and Run Away feat Frankie J but his suprisingly weak bars kill the potential those tracks had. Heat It Up is better than Ms New Booty but its still forgettable. After hearing this album, Bubba Sparxxx career might be on thin ice. You dont follow up a brilliant album with a stinker unless you are intentionally trying to kill the momentum you gained by doing so. Deliverance was a clever and thoughtful album, The Charm is a contrived attempt at commercialism that falls flat on its face. Hopefully Bubba will break camp from Purple Ribbon because the direction they are taking him in will only lead to his downfall. Standouts: REPRESENT, THE OTHERSIDE AND HEY(A LITTLE GRATITUDE).』
(The third time IS the charm) 『As I said in my review for Bubba Sparxxx's previous album Deliverance, the problem he has is that people are all about his album when it first comes out, but then a month later he'd be lucky if it's still on the Billboard 200. The same fate came with his third album The Charm, which is a shame because it's his best offering yet.
This album has a slightly different sound because Timbaland only produces one song on here ("Hey!"), possibly because Bubba jumped ship from Blackground and instead released this album on Purple Ribbon. Speaking of that, the first time I heard "Claremont Lounge" (with Killer Mike and Cool Breeze) was on the Got Purp Vol. II compilation, and I'm still not too impressed by it. But other songs fare better, like "Heat It Up" and "Represent". And "Wonderful" is just that.
Sleepy Brown also drops by to lay down his usual breezy vocals on two back-to-back winners: "That Man" and "The Otherside". Everything else is great except that the music to "As the Rim Spins" is a little too, well, "nice" for a rap song (listen to it to understand what I mean); and sorry, but I never liked "Ms. Fat Booty". But it's still not too late to pick up The Charm.
Anthony Rupert』
(Great rap/hip hop with a southern flair!) 『Bubba is one of my favorite rappers&this CD was great. "Run Away" with Frankie J is a wonderful song.』
(bubba abandons his talent for $$$) 『Any true hiphop head has taken notice of bubba's lyrical skills on his first two albums, which he has essentially left behind on this strictly booty shake release. Now I can't say I blame him, it is after all a business, but in my opinion he is sacrificing his potential to have a long lasting artistic career, which looked so promising as he progressed from dark days to deliverance (and then took 30 steps backwards with this). I only hope he makes/made enough from this release to go back to making meaningful/thoughful tracks...such as warrant.』
(3-1/2 Stars -- It'll charm ya up for a lil bit) 『Well Bubba Sparxxx has managed to churn out some good stuff in the past, the problem was that it either had only good beats like on Dark Days, Bright Nights or good lyrics on his second album Deliverance. After not having not so good sells with the latter album he hopes the third times the "Charm" here.
Thankfullly with you don't get the usual guest heavy, 15+ track album that last over 70 minutes when artist release their third album. The album opens up nicely with Represent where Bubba talks about where he's from and all. Bubba manages to take you back to his good ole days from deliverance on "As The Rim Spins". The guest appearances that are on here are on key like Killer Mike and Cool Breeze's verses ("Claremont Lounge"). Frankie J does his thing singing on the chorus to "Run Away" and ditto Sleepy Brown on "The Otherside" with M.I.A. Peety Pablo teaming up with Bubba Sparxxx to drop some lines.
There are ups and downs with party joints produced by Mr. Collipark on "Ms. New Booty" which is ovverated especially since the music sounds exactly like David Banner's "Play", and the mellow laidback beat of "Heat It Up". Unlike others I was dissapointed with Timbalands production "Hey! (A Lil' Gratitude)" Also this album seems a little to popish and radio friendly compared with his past stuff. Sales wise this album is Bubba's best which would convince you to buy it but I suggest you check out Delivarance before trying to "charm" yourself.』 『This great music charm features a short staff with a treble clef and music notes. Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (An amazing collection, as expected.) 『I stumbled across Chanticleer in late 2005, while running a search for chorale music -- the album I found being Gregorian Chants -- and instantly fell in love with this wonderful group. I had known about countertenors for some time previously, but, as I had not yet witnessed the sound, was stunned to find that Chanticleer was composed entirely of males.
Their sound is wonderful; rarely do I catch them slipping in their harmonies, a quality that I primarily associate with Russian Orthodox Choirs, which I don't find often enough within the US-of-A. But being a stickler isn't bad; it's this way that I found, and stuck with Chanti.
The selections of music on this CD are wide, ranging from American Folk -- Shenandoah -- to Strauss' "Drei Männerchöre," and back to Irving Berlin and beyond. My personal favorite is the rendition of Allen Shearer's musical adaptation of "Nude Descending a Staircase," featuring X. J. Kennedy's text.
As a final note: for lovers of a good bass in choral music, this is certainly a CD to consider, as are all Chanticleer works, thanks to Mr. Eric Alatorre, facial ornamentation and all. He's certainly a warm, rich anchor for the group's sometimes ethereal sound.』
(Superb) 『The last work on this recording, "Jesus Met the Woman at the Well, is worth many times the price of this CD. Joseph Jennings' performance on this one riveting and the group really takes off. The entire album is great, but this piece is an absolute knockout.』
(A No Brainer!!!!!!!!!) 『This is a must have cd for any classical, choral,or jazz music fan. Chanticleer is world renowned for their abilty to branch out and do all kinds of different styles, and this cd shows off there incredible range and diveristy. This cd incompasses 20th Century classical, Rennisance, Romantic, Jazz, Spirital, and Folk music done with blend balance and style that each one of these genres calls for. It can take years for a group to do one off these genres well, let alone all. If you have never heard them this a a good cd to start with, and if you have heard them this is a great cd to add to your collection』
(A True Sampler) 『The purpose of a sampler is to showcase a variety of one's best work, and Chanticleer certainly does that on this disc. The Gabrieli Magnificat captures the spirit of San Marco, Venice, and then jazz and pop numbers are hilarious! A lesser known treasure is"I have had singing"."Jesus met the woman at the well"...as my grandfather used to say,"If that don't light your fire, your wood's wet."』
(This music is truly beautiful) 『No matter what your musical tastes are, you will enjoy this CD. Chanticleer sings songs with such a beauty and clarity, it makes one want to take up singing. I highly recommend all of Chanticleer's material.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Fresh, energetic) 『2 toe-tapping, fun songs: Things Are What You Make of Them, and the cover of Eve of Destruction. Bishop Allen Drive and the downbeat version of Things (at the end of the CD) are solid. Good enough to justify purchasing new. Go to the band's web site for best deal.』
(Throwing Furniture Off the Roof) 『"Charm School" is a delightfully silly set. It has bubbly charm of grape soda pop. It doesn't take itself seriously like on the wacky "Penitentiary Bound," "You be whatever you want to be&see whatever you think you see&take whatever you like for free&just like I've been saying every single day since I wore this suit..." "Bishop Allen Drive" is hilarious with its pop chorus and its stunningly bizarre story, "I don't know why, but she couldn't stand still; The radio was playing, it was time to kill; We were throwing furniture off the roof; We'd watch it shatter on the ground below singing la la la la..." "Things Are What You Make of Them" beats like the soundtrack to "The Tell-Tale Heart," "She said: Son, if you don't make a noise, God will never know you're there." "Empire City"&"Quarter to Three" are also diamonds. In Bishop Allen's hands, "Eve of Destruction" is remade in unique fashion. While not each track is memorable, there are so many wildly original classics that this is a disc not to be missed. Bravo!』
(Good enough to give chills, fun enough to sing forever) 『If you like The Shins, Modest Mouse, or even the better songs of the Rolling Stones, I can almost guarantee you will like this album. I heard a couple of their songs online, loved them instantly, got chills up and down my arms from their emotion and their innovation, and I ordered it immediately. This is instantly likeable music, music I knew I loved the moment I heard it. That bands like Bishop Allen aren't being hounded by every major label out there is baffling to me. This album features terrific female backing vocals, simple yet rocking and friendly songs, occasional drums by Microsoft Excel, witty lyrics, a terrific tribute/thank you song "Eve of Destruction" in which the band thanks all their friends on a day that might be their last. The album's also got funny liner notes, and one of the coolest songs I've ever heard, "Ghosts are Good Company," Buy "Charm School" now. Listen to the samples on Amazon, and then buy it immediately. And, if you like this, check out Soltero. Good music is out there, and waiting for you.』
(Justin, David Byrne wants his gesticulations back...) 『Ok, well Mr. Rice fully deserves any wild hand waving rights though because this is a great album. Another live-show-bought-the-album deal (the guy on the left of the album, Mr. Rudder, actually sold me it to me. Sorry amazon) the album has only continued to grow on me. I could go on about depth of lyrics, mature sound, etc., but I can't compete with a guy from Rolling Stone who probably has a degree in journalism and critical theory. Let's just say 'Charm School' is a good buy for anyone who can stand a little bit of fun and is in the midst of the mainstream doldrums. A little Atom and His Package, a little Modest Mouse (sorry), a little Hell's Kitchen, and a little art school band all grown up! Pixies beaten with an irony stick! I could go on! Fantastic stuff.』
(Absolutely Charming) 『I heard "Busted Heart" on the radio and was immediately intrigued. Checked out some of the mp3s they had on their web site and after listening to them twice, bought the album. I love it! It's in constant rotation and if I don't listen to it every few days, I crave it. Every song is great. particularly like Ghosts Are Good Company and the reprise of Things are what you make of them is gorgeous. great lyrics, fun sounds, pop with a little bit of a punk edge. If you like pop, you won't be disappointed.』 『Said Rolling Stone, in their 4-star review:
If Modest Mouse spent a year in a Chuck E. Cheese ball pit, they might emerge sounding like the delightful Brooklyn quartet Bishop Allen. That's not to say that these indie-poppers aren't a serious band. On their debut, Charm School, the foursome blend sharp, jangly guitars with catchy melodies and big choruses. Songwriters Justin Rice and Christian Rudder write cheeky lyrics and layer their tunes with handclaps ("Charm School") and singalongs ("Ghosts Are Good Company"). And the band's carefree attitude, along with their musicianship, make Charm School as addictive as it is playful. Add drummer Margaret Miller and bassist Bonnie Karin, and they enter indie elite. Karin's ethereal backing vocals complement Rice's perfectly -- propelling already memorable tracks into charmed harmonic bliss.』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Very Good, but Remain Calm, Please) 『For those who have read the other reviews, it will be needless to state that this is a fine movie. It is! You will be the richer for having experienced it. The opening sequences in particular--the sounds of the city, the unique journey of "Isn't It Romantic"--captivate the mind. But the enthusiastic praise heaped on it with obviously grateful and loving hands does a dis-service to new viewers, who will sit down in front of the show with expectations of something rather different than the show turns out to be. Unless your definition of "movie musical" is very different from that of most, this is not the greatest film musical ever; but it certainly is a refreshingly different one. Some of the songs are standards; others you won't remember five minutes later. Those interested in movie musicals look for exciting dance sequences--you won't find them here. Do we care a great deal about the characters? Nope. Lots of hilarity? No; but you will have a laugh or two. Scintillating lyrics? You won't know unless you have a libretto to look at, what with Chevalier's accent and MacDonald's operatic style of singing. And this ends up diminishing the integrity of the show, because the average member of the audience won't have heard some things he needed to know, things which came only from the lyrics (for instance, the very last image in the movie is a response to something trilled not very clearly an hour previously). The performances are solid, the sets wonderful, the music pleasant, the pace quick, the camera work beautiful, the scenes and characters varied, and so on... For what it is, it's faultless, and you will smile with contentment at the end. But it is sui generis--in a category by itself--and the audience member should come to it with meter set closer to "mild screwball comedy with songs" than to "one of the great movie musicals." Enjoy it! But don't think you're going to be getting "Show Boat" . . .』
(The best Lubitsch film which is not directed by Lubitsch!) 『If somebody wants to find out how popular music and moving images go together to become a great work of art - study this film! The bonus features are great, the transfer of the film itself seems to have caused some problems. Fast camera movements look a bit bumpy here. Certainly not on a 35mm print! Anyway - this DVD is one of the most important releases and worth its prize!』
(Not outdated at all!) 『This movie, old as it is, is not outdated at all! Enjoyed it very much. Only wish it have English subtiltes for those of us who are hard of hearing. Maurice Chevalier is wonderful! I wish they have more of his early novies on DVD. I rate this movie very high, it is that good!』
(Funny, charming -- and a stylistic breakthrough) 『So I'm watching "Dreamgirls" --- well, sort of watching; the screen is blurred by my tears of joy at the mere existence of such a dazzling achievement. And I'm thinking that it's ever so slightly familiar.
It's not the theme, though this is hardly the first film to show how original art is watered down so it can thrill a mass audience.
It's not the music, which starts as strong soul, transits through powerful R&B and ends up as a homogenized vehicle for a star who is, by now, just "passing" as a black woman.
Ah! It's the way the story is told, a quasi-operatic style in which dialogue segues into song --- and instead of talking to one another, characters sing their thoughts back and forth.
And then, because although I have trouble remembering last week, I'm strong on old movies, I got it: "Dreamgirls" is cousin to "Love Me Tonight," a 1932 musical by Rouben Mamoulian.
You may never have heard of this film. Blame that on television, which long ago turned away from late-night broadcasts of black-and-white classics. Had "Love Me Tonight" been on and had you seen the opening sequence, you would have been hooked --- it's that rare combination: great originality and total fun.
We're in Paris. Early morning, as the city awakes. A workman shows up with a pick and starts chipping away at the pavement. Another sweeps. A knife sharpener puts an edge on the first blade of the day. Two cobblers take seats outside their shop and hammer at heels. A woman beats a carpet.
It's pure rhythm --- street sound as melody. And it's just a little too much for young Maurice Chevalier, who shuts his window, finishes dressing and heads downstairs. But hey, he's Maurice Chevalier; as he walks down the street, he sings to his neighbors. And they sing back to him.
Time to get serious: Maurice is a tailor. A good one. And, he thinks, a lucky one --- he has just made 15 suits for Vicomte Gilbert de Vareze, the most fashionable man in Paris. His future is assured.
You know the punch line: The Vicomte is a penniless deadbeat who has stiffed every tradesman on the block. He lives off crumbs from his disapproving uncle, the Duke d'Artelines. So Maurice charges off to the Duke's chateau to extract payment.
On the way, he meets Jeannette MacDonald, and falls instantly in love. Once at the chateau, there is the inevitable confusion about Maurice's identity --- the last thing the Vicomte wants his uncle to know is that a tailor has come to collect a small fortune --- and Maurice gets the chance to try his charm on MacDonald, who it turns out, is a widow.
Not just any widow. A widow who feels she is, at 21, "wasting away." Her doctor, with an eye on her breasts, disagrees. His diagnosis: She's "being wasted."
Throughout, the dialogue is brisk and racy:
Jeanette: What are you doing now? Maurice: I'm thinking. I'm thinking of you without these clothes. Jeanette: Open your eyes at once! Maurice: Oh no, pardon, madam. With different clothes. Smart clothes.
No wonder the censors snipped some 15 minutes from the film.
The music is by Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart. It includes such classics as "Isn't It Romantic?" and is, as the opening sequence suggests, integral to the film. But let Mamoulian explain: "I decided to make the movie lyrical, thoroughly stylized: a film in which the whole action of actors, as well as the movement of camera and cutting was rhythmic. Then I got Rodgers and Hart to write the music....We finished the whole score before I began to work on the script. We did the whole thing to a metronome, because we couldn't carry an orchestra round with us."
Mistaken identity. Stars at their zenith. Classic songs. Double entendres galore. Even a happy ending: "Once upon a time there was a princess and a prince charming...who was not a prince but who was charming...and they lived happily ever after."
If you have any weakness for old movies, don't miss "Love Me Tonight."』
(A Landmark Musical) 『 Another perfect film is now readily available on DVD. This film is widely recognised as one of the best musicals ever. It combines a superb Rodgers and Hart score with the subtle sexy humour of Ernst Lubitsch and the visual flair which Rouben Mamoulian, the director, brought to so many of his films.
Maurice Chevalier plays a tailor who meets princess Jeanette MacDonald when he visits her castle to collect outstanding debts from Charlie Ruggles. Macdonald is a widow who keeps fainting not from "wasting away" as the doctor diagnoses, but "being wasted". Macdonald falls for Chevalier and after a few plot devices which will keep them apart because he is a commoner, they reunite to live happily ever after. If the story sounds like a fairy tale, it is but that does not detract from the enchantment of the piece.
Chevalier plays his usual charming self and Macdonald is sexy and funny in a way she rarely showed with Nelson Eddy. Myrna Loy is ravishing as her nymphomaniac cousin and this comes as a surprise to those who know her as the perfect wife. All of the supporting cast are memorable though Charlie Ruggles steals every scene in which he appears.
The score includes the incomparable "Mimi", "Lover" and "Isn't it Romantic". The commentary by Miles Kreuger is outstanding, avoiding mere biographical details and really giving us insight into the relevance of this film in 1932 and why it still stands up today. There is a lot of information about what was cut from the film when it was reissued, cuts which have been lost for ever at this date. The DVD print is excellent but there is quite a bit of background surface noise at times which can be distracting.』 『The best movie musical you've never heard of isLove Me Tonight, a deliciously clever 1932 Rodgers and Hart romp. The film opens with a tour de force, as the rhythmic sounds of a Paris morning morph into music and we meet a humble tailor (Maurice Chevalier) whose future looks bright. At least he thinks so. And then the great song "Isn't It Romantic?" kicks in, introduced by Chevalier but immediately handed off to client, cab driver, and a series of tune-carriers who finally bring the catchy melody to a dreamy princess (Jeannette MacDonald). It's probably the giddiest sequence in a very fun film, and "Isn't It Romantic?" would continue popping up in Paramount movies for years (Billy Wilder was especially partial to it). The humble tailor must travel to the princess's chateau to collect a bill from family playboy Charlie Ruggles, which puts Chevalier in pleasant proximity to MacDonald and saucy Myrna Loy. It also brings forth more Rodgers and Hart goodies: the classic "Lover" (a great romantic waltz played here as a lark), "Mimi," and the title song. Rouben Mamoulian directed, in the full stride of his early-sound creativity (this was just after hisDr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde), using a variety of effects that look positively New Wave. Chevalier and MacDonald are a delight together (by all means see them inThe Love ParadeandOne Hour with You, too), and Charlie Butterworth has some glorious moments as a prospective MacDonald suitor. (top notch) 『An overlooked film which is simply delightful. It is heart-warming, funny and also sad at times but altogether shouldn't be missed for those who want a film that is first rate. (Excellent movie!) 『This isn't so much a dance movie as it is a sweet lesson in life...about things not said, lived, done or rectified. Things that we could or would regret in the final review of our lives...in our last moments.
It confirmed in my life to leave nothing to tomorrow and take care of all things in my life today. I'm happier for it.
This probably isn't what you expected. The dancing was okay too.』
(Poignant, Charming and Quirky) 『 I rented this movie when it was a new release, one of those random rentals, the cover caught my eye and the story seemed like it could be charming. Wow. A tragic story of characters who ache and struggle and dream, it nearly broke my heart with the melancholy hopefulness. There are moments of sheer joy and humor which keep the film from becoming unbearable. John Goodman excels in this piece, but I can't stop there. Each character is three dimensional, no matter how small the role.
The general storyline involves Frank who is shuffling through life under a huge black cloud of depression. He witnesses a tragic accident and because he is human, he does the noble thing by stopping and staying with the lone occupant of the car while waiting for help. A story is told and unfolds throughout the entire movie. A story that is haunting and achingly beautiful. One that requires Frank to take the right fork in the road instead of the left.
We now own Ballroom Dancing and Charm School but I haven't watched it again, until tonight. My husband pulled it out of the cabinet and I protested because the sadness, the intensity of the film, I didn't want to cry. I guess that goes to show how much this movie clicked with me. And that is why I need to write a review. Life is beautiful, ugly, horrifying and wonderful. This is a movie that presents it poignantly -- life is frail but it needs to be lived. This film isn't a good fit for children.』 『When lonely hearts want to connect, is there any better way, really, than dancing?Marilyn Hotchkiss Ballroom Dancing&Charm Schoolis a sweet indie valentine to dance, and to the connection of lost, broken souls. The stellar cast is led by English Everyguy Robert Carlyle, a widower who believes he's fulfilling a dying man's last wish--to find a long-lost love--by showing up at a Thursday night dance class. Carlyle is by turns awkward, warm, sincere and bewildered, perfectly believable as a man awash in grief yet hoping to rejoin life. It turns out that dance class, led by the theatrical Mary Steenburgen, holds his lifeline. Other strong performances come from Marisa Tomei, Sean Astin, John Goodman, Ernie Hudson, David Paymer, Camryn Manheim and Sonia Braga, all of whom play people yearning for something, some one. Viewers may get distracted early in the film, seeing Carlyle in a dance venue and secretly hoping the soundtrack would queue up "You Sexy Thing," to get to see Carlyle reprise some of his fabulous shtick fromThe Full Monty. But it turns out Carlyle is just as winning performing the Lindy Hop or waltz. And, the film suggests, once the body moves and the soul is stirred--can love be far behind? The answer is: May I have the honor of this dance? Extras include the short 1990 film this feature was based on and an audio commentary.--A.T. (Awesome Hat!) 『This hat is of great quality and is going for much more than found on Amazon. It compliments my pirate wench costume perfectly. Note: you may need to bend it at the ends to get the same look but it is very pliable and sexy.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (So fun, easy and educational!) 『Yahtzee Jr. is a favorite game in our house. It's easy to play (5 and 3 year old children play) but it actually involves some thinking and skill so it's not boring for adults. Each round/game only takes about 10 minutes so it's a quick play, too. To make it educational besides the thought and strategy at each role, have the children count their points up at the end. The score board makes it super easy to practice adding and counting. I have my 5 year old add his points (5 Mickeys plus 2 Donalds...) and my 3 year old counts each square to get her point value. Great for early math skills and did I mention, it's fun!』 『Enjoy the classic fun of the Yahtzee game with these fun dice featuring all your favorite clubhouse characters. (Sea Monkeys are Cool! This Tank is a BUST.) 『I love Sea Monkeys. They are fun to watch grow. I've had the classic tall red tank and it was great. This tank is too squat and it makes it really hard to "air" them without the special tool that has to be bought separately. Maybe that was the plan....Anyway-I recommend the taller/thiner tank so it is easy to pour the water to "air" them. Be sure to follow ALL of the directions.』
(WHEN WILL THEY DIE?) 『It is Jan of 2009, and my daughter got these sea monkeys one year ago. I thought they would live a little while, if we were lucky, then die off. Well it is one year later and they are thriving.
What we do to keep them happy, healthy, and pregnant:
LIGHT: They are near a south facing window but most of the aquarium city is in the shade-on cloudy days I move them closer to the window. Letting the sun hit the edge of the city has allowed the algae to thrive.
FOOD/ALGEA: Since the sea monkeys eat algae, we have not had to feed them for the last 8 months. At first I could not get the algae to grow, so I scooped a tiny bit of algae from a puddle from a leaking hose outside, and dropped it into the city. Within a week algae began spreading through the city.
WATER/OXEGENATION: I allow the water to evaporate until the tops of the buildings are exposed, then I take the water bottle and SLOWLY pour in water from a height of one and a half feet up. I pour slowly so as not to disturb the sea monkeys too much, but I pour from high above so as to oxygenate the water as much as possible, I do this about once a week.
Cleaning: I scoop out any large floating blob of algae but I am terrified and guilt ridden that they may have eggs or babies in the blob. I hope not, but I need to keep the water as clear as possible as the sea monkeys really seem to enjoy the wide open spaces of water.
Good luck with your sea monkeys--I'll try to remember to edit this and add a date when my sea monkeys stop reproducing and die off. They really are so cute and graceful (even with the long strings of poop trailing them) that I will miss them when they are gone.』
(Welcome to the city of Death) 『The tank looks cool when you open the box but its got some problems. Many times, some sea-monkeys get stuck behind the buildings and other times they just die. You also have to change the water often because if you don't, the buildings will turn black.』
(Sea Monkey City Mini World) 『This is my second attempt at growing sea monkeys and so far it's been a huge success. Unlike my last sea monkey experience, this time the pamphlet included helpful tips about oxygenated the sea monkeys and keeping them in indirect sunlight. The result... at least a dozen growing sea monkeys!』 『For more than forty-five years, Sea-Monkeys swam happily in their world famous, scientifically designed Zoo-Quariums with the magnifying portals. Now...add the redesigned and laboratory approved Mini-World salty simian habitats. The main difference? Zoo-Quarium Sea-Monkeys are best viewed through the sides of the tanks while Mini-World inhabitants look best when viewed from above.
Your Sea-Monkeys will be happy frolicking and diving in their new home in the metropolis. The "In the City" Mini-World tank sports a brand-new, city-themed design. Guaranteed to live two years, your salty pets will love their enriched new habitats...and so will you.
Mini-World features: water purifier, instant live eggs, growth food, calibrated feeding spoon, specially designed pipette to help refresh the watery home, a trilingual (English, Spanish, French) User Guide, a Sea-Monkey Insurance Form with a 2-Year Guarantee, a scientifically designed and tested Mini-World tank, and the exclusive multi-magnifying lid that allows proper air exchange and optimized viewing. Additional Sea-Monkeys Mini-Worlds sold separately.』

I find this to be one of my most favorites. I've dabbled with it here and there, getting mixed results, but as an agnostic rather than say...a pagan maybe that's to be expected. What is really nice about the book is its simplicity in text. It doesn't scream "light 4 black candles, 2 blue candles on a full moon on this month" rather it gives simple instructions to allow anyone at anytime to do any of the things inside of it. The simple relaxed approach allows for a TON of different "spells" to fit inside, often up to three on one page. I bought this book a while back and lost it, so I repurchased it again. I like this newer version less, the beautiful illustrations inside have been taken out completely. This is a shame since they enhanced the beauty of the book.』
(Another Classic By Scott Cunningham) 『Scott Cunningham's Earth Power takes you back to the roots of Paganism-the Earth. He focuses on using what is already available within ourselves and nature to work wonders instead of purchasing a lot of ritual materials. Book contains over 100 spells and earth based rituals. Great book for those starting out in the craft or for those looking to get back to their Earthy roots.』
(Earth Power) 『This book didn't really jive with me. The writing was just way too simplistic. I guess I thought I'd get a book that was more in depth. This wasn't it.
I did end up giving this book away to someone who was looking for a copy. They were tight on cash, I wasn't looking to keep this book, so I passed it on to them.』
(AMAZING) 『Scott is amazing. This is one of his BEST pieces in my eyes. SO easy to follow. Short book. Just AMAZING』
(Simple, and to the point) 『I've liked all of Scott's books I've read. The simplicity of this one is refreshing. It's a great reminder that the most potent magick comes from oneself and Mother Earth. Complex rituals need not apply!』 『When you draw a heart in the sand, call on the four winds for assistance, or ask the rain to wash away a bad habit, you are practicing earth magic. (Not his best work...) 『Dunne is a fantastic and fun writer. This collection gets bogged down however. Many of the stories are dated and the updates are not recent. Many of the stories are reprinted in the far superior colleciton, Justice. Still, parts of this book, particularly the Gloria Vanderbilt story, stand out. If you like Dunne, I would start with Justice and move backwards. It is fun to read many of his stories do have something of a timeless quality. I was frustrated with parts of book which seemed dated and dull. Ahh..what do I know. Dunne is still great.』
(An All-Night Page Turner!) 『It's had been quite some time since I'd picked-up a book I couldn't put down, but this one ended the drought! It made me an instant Dominick Dunne fan and wishing that he'd continue the saga for the Bradley family in future novels. If you have ever been intrigued by the lifestyles of the rich and infamous, or the larger than life experiences of the Kennedy's, then click on the order button and prepare to curl up with this unforgettable story!』
(Addicted to the Pages) 『When I picked up Mr. Dunne's novel for my book collection of his amazing works, it was another week of neglecting my duties as a Mother to my starving children. Thank goodness for the microwave! I am a Vanity Fair subscriber and always will be due to Mr. Dunne's genius writing. Mrs. Litras.』
(Truly engaging read) 『I have enjoyed Dominick Dunne's novels (novels in disguise!), but this book has left me wishing I had been a Vanity Fair subscriber. I never realized what I had been missing, although I might have not read anything else in that magazine. I almost didn't order it, because I was disappointed with his previous work-The Way We Lived Then-which was exactly what he said it was, the recollections of a well-known name dropper, all names and not much content. However-this book is wonderful-and probably more so the recollections of a name dropper. Incredible true stories of the rich and famous, and maybe some not so famous, all intensely interesting. A number of the essays involve crime-beginning with his description of the trial of the man who killed his daughter, and including pieces on the Mendez brothers, O.J. Simpson, Claus Von Bulow, and more, told as only an"insider"could. Yet not all of the tales are crime related, so if you're looking for tabloid-style, tell all stories, this probably isn't the book for you. He tells the tales of high society with a touch of class, and I can't imagine that he has made many enemies, and probably remains in good favor with most of the people he has included in these pages. I finished the book wanting to go back and re-read several of my favorite stories, and wishing there was a sequel I could now continue with. Enjoy-I read it in 2 days.』 『Dominick Dunne has met them all - stars and slugs, criminals and victims, the innocent and the hideously guilty - and now his two provocative collections of Vanity Fair portraits are in one irresistible volume. From posh Park Avenue duplexes to the extravagant mansions of Beverly Hills, from tasteful London town houses to the wild excesses of million-dollar European retreats, here are the movers and shakers - and the people who pretend to be.』

Most of us feel that we are decent conversationalists and think that we generally leave a positive impression on the people we meet. This book helps to explain why some people are so more pleasant to be around than others. It breaks the art of being charming into its various components. Each one is easily recognized and the stories and examples strike a chord... yes, charming people are that way for a reason. The best part is that charm is something that can be cultivated (I always thought that either one had it or not -- sort of like class?) According to Mr. Tracy, all it takes is a little practice and conscious effort.
I jotted down a few of his observations concerning attentive listening, proper eye contact, when to smile, etc., and plan to use them on my friends, family and business associates. I think that his suggestions, if followed, will indeed make me a better, more charming individual, and who doesn't want that!
Lastly, I do recognize that his formulaic approach is by no means new. As others have written, these ideas repeat similar points made my Napoleon Hill, Norman V. Peale and many others. Nevertheless, I always find it refreshing to be reminded of the simple ways that we can improve our lives. They worked then, they work now.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to increase their charm factor.』
(Quick useful read) 『I had to read this book for a class but I really enjoyed it. It's a very quick read and put together so that you can easily return to main points to refresh your memory. If you use the tools given to you in this book you will become a much more likable person and one that people enjoy talking to.』
(Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat) 『Delightful, useful, quick read--worth the money. From someone as crabby and difficult as I, this is a fine and useful recommendation.』
