(One star for one chuckle.)
『I chuckled over what causes the demise of the Martians. Everything else is so over the top that it's simply not funny.』

(ACK! ACK! ACK! (trans: Tim Burton Is Our leader!))
『MARS ATTACKS! is sort of a melding of EARTH VS. THE FLYING SAUCERS and WAR OF THE WORLDS, w/ the ingenious idea of both paying homage to and doing a parody of 50s sci-fi in general. Using the infamous trading card collection as inspiration, Mr. Burton fleshes it out w/ non-stop hilarity and satire. The cast of big-name stars reminds me of the cast of IT'S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD, WORLD. The martians are perfectly sinister in their bid to destroy mankind. The scene w/ Lisa Marie as the "hot" chick / martian in disguise is a classic! The weapon that finally proves to be the martians' undoing is VERY similar to that found in ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES, and even more effective! Tim Burton is one of my favorite directors. His oddball stuff never ceases to intrigue and / or entertain me. Long may he live...』

(No Sound)
『I orignally purchased this item along with some other dvds. I have purchased movies from amazon before but this was the first dvd that did not work. You can only hear the background music. No dialogue. I figured that it was a defective dvd and requested a new copy. Amazon was very helpful in the return process. They sent me a replacement dvd right away. Unfortunately, the new dvd had the same problem as the other, no sound. I had send both dvds back and requested a refund. I received my refund in about a week. This has been the only problem that I have had with Amazon. But, they handled my return/refund so well, I continue shopping from them.』

(Tim Burton, the finest dark humor you can find)
『Only Tim Burton could come up with a dark humor story involving the finest oscar winning actors and have them all killed in a very fine and sophisticated dark humor movie.
This proves why Tim Burton is one of my best directors. Here in México, my friends and I get together from time to time to watch this fine movie and laugh out loud.』

(Brilliant and grisly, the epitome of farcical dark humor)
『All the movie stereotypes and cliches with the most talented cast and the most horrible (and humorous) Martians.

OK, so it doesn't involve deep introspection or have profound artistic meaning. It was still a riot. Martians invade Earth, and all the foibles of mankind are on display. Politicians, trailer parks, self-absorbed scientists, Las Vegas, the military, and the inner city all figure in the human response to the Martian invasion. Humanity is done for, unless they can find a weapon that will defeat the DaDaesque cruelties of the Martians!

This could have been a complete flop, but with Jack Nicholson (in several roles), Glenn Close, Pierce Brosnan, Pam Grier, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michael J. Fox, and other first rate actors under Tim Burton's direction, this one came together beautifully. Not for the kids, with bizarre alien experiments, rampent lust, and hilarious violence, this will overwhelm younger kids, but is just right for a normal teens' sensibilities.

The best vignette from the whole move is in the midst of the Martian carnage, one Martian carries a translator box that quips "Don't run. We are your friends. We come in peace."

First rate fun for more robust viewers.

E. M. Van Court』

『It's enlightening to view Tim Burton'sMars Attacks!as his twisted satire of the blockbuster filmIndependence Day, which was released earlier the same year, although the movies were in production simultaneously. Burton's eye-popping, schlock tribute to 1950s UFO movies actually plays better on video than it did in theaters. The idea of invading aliens ray gunning the big-name movie stars in the cast is a cleverly subversive one, and the bulb-headed, funny-sounding animated Martians are pretty nifty, but it all seemed to be spread thin on the big screen. On video, however, the movie's kooky humor seems a bit more concentrated. The Earth actors (most of whom get zapped or kidnapped for alien science experiments) include Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Annette Bening, Pierce Brosnan, Danny DeVito, Martin Short, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rod Steiger, Michael J. Fox, Lukas Haas, Jim Brown, Tom Jones, and Pam Grier. The digital video disc features an isolated track for Danny Elfman's score, as well as a few other clever and nasty little Martian surprises.--Jim Emerson

(Clown At Midnight VHS)
『I found this movie very enjoyable to watch. I am glad that I was able to buy it. I would also like to get it on DVD.』

(Your Average Teen Slasher Flick, But Well Done.)
『"The Clown At Midnight" is about a group of teenagers cleaning up an old Operah house that one of the teenagers name Kate, had a mother who was an opera actress, who was butchered by a man wearing a clown mask. Then now, the teenagers are locked up, while one of their teachers/manager are missing, and then the clown starts to hunt them down, one by one...

It is well done, the death scenes were fair enough. There is a stabbing, a boy falling off a roof, an electricution, a hanging, a spear through a stomach, and an axe in the face, and a decapitation. But when there is a chase scene between the clown and a victim, there is no music or sound track whatsoever, so it's not really intresting. These teens aren't average ordinary sluts like you see in Friday the 13th, they know when it's not a joke, and they try to be superior using a weapon in their hands for the most part...and then they die. Atleast they tried.

It's worth a rental since I rented it from a video store. Good acting, some characters you care about.』

(this movie sucked and what a boring plot by jordan)
『a dumbass clown is killing kids trying to reopen an operahouse. this wasn't even scary and it was so predictable about a clown. You didn't really think it was Paglacci did you. It was the old guy. When they finally reveal who the clown is it ruins the point that a clown is its own type of creature. And how could that 80 year old manager(or at least that's what he looks like)be the clown I mean seriously. Cmon an 80 year old guy killing 5 or 6 teens.

There is also something else that dissopoint and ruins the whole movie. It's they always have in these slasher movies "let's split up kind of routine" so he'll be able to kill us one by one. Also why are clowns always bad guys they are supposed to be hilarios not killers. You might as well disguise yourself like a mermaid or something.

No one can by an electricuting chair and they don't have them in operahouses. so that just made the movie make itself even dumber. Jean the director must have been really freaked out by clowns as a kid. I think this horror movies is more meant for teens to laugh at. This movie should be rated pg-13 not R. I mean the clown didn't do any sexual stuff to the teens he only killed the kids that you can't cry about because they weren't satisfying characters.

At the end I couldn't believe that kid who saved her only kissed. They didn't run out to get the police or anything. If your freaked about clowns and you rent this movie you will see clowns are not really like this and maybe you'll say ha ha ha I shouldn't have ever thought they were like this.』

(Where's the clown from Stephen King's IT when you need him?)
『from beginning to bloody retarded end this is diffently a cheesy slasher movie without a doubt. this has kids volunteering at an abandoned theatre which is reopened and they soon find out that one of their friends mom was murdered in the building and that same son of a (...)that killed her mother is still in there and it comes out at midnight and kills them off one by one. obviously predictable and you know who is going to die right away in order. I laughed my ass off when the clown electrocuted that (...)student in the electric chair. It just gave me the giggles it was so horrible. This natural disaster of a movie stars Christopher Plummer and Margot Kidder for some reason, maybe they were bored and didnt have anything else to do. James DuVal stars in other movie with Sarah Lassez, they co starred in the apocalyptic teen movie Nowhere. This would freak out a person if there afraid of clowns but I tell ya it's not that scary.』

("Scream" meets "Phantom Of The Opera")
『I am so glad I bought this movie it was realy scary and fun.The only thing that sucked was the opening murder scene(It did look like the opening of "Halloween" in a way). But other than that it was good it also stars that one girl from "Fresh Prince Of Bel Air".』

(Please help!)
『All of the Twilight Zones are great! But - two of my all time favorite episodes - I can't seem find anywhere. Perhaps I am just overlooking them somehow. Can someone plese tell me where I can find the TZ DVDs that include the episodes "The Masks" and "The Howling Man"? I am very frustrated at not being able to locate these! Thank you so much...』

(Twilight Zone Vol. Two)
『THE TWILIGHT ZONE VOL. 2

This DVD contains four excellent episodes of an exceptional series which has not been matched over the decades, but some series have come close to the quality of the original Twilight Zone. Listed below are my personal reflections on these episodes since I watched them when they originally aired between 1959-1963.

"The Monsters are Due on Maple Street" aired on March 4, 1960. March 4 was a day which saw Lucy filed for divorce from Desi. The first family of television became a broken statistic of society. Down in Havana at 3pm, the French ship - La Coubre' was unloading munitions. As Fidel Castro hovered near by in his helicopter, the ship exploded killing and injuring many. Of course, Castro blamed the CIA and the growing tensions between the two countries were heading for a nuclear showdown.

However, as we watched the program, we felt the fear experienced by the normal people on a common street in an average town in America. There were too many uncertainties in 1960. We had heard that there were spies among us. Since the Roswell episode, looking at the stars at night from the front porch one had to wonder if there were aliens among us as well as the "godless Communists" which we heard about from our teachers and pastors each week. We had some neighbors on our street who were a bit odd. And we wonder if they were who they appear to be-just simple Americans living their lives in 1960 or were they sinister agents of a foreign power either across the sea or from one of those night stars.

"Time Enough at Last" on November 20, 1959 caused my fellow first graders to walk down the block to the Carnegie City Library to see if there was a vault. We knew there were thousands of books to give us something to do, but would it be safe. The librarian reassured us that the basement was certified as a Fallout Shelter, and we would be protected. Now, we know that the Fallout Shelters in public buildings were a psychological ploy to comfort the people. Radiation fallout would not have cared about schools, libraries, etc. Radiation poisoning would not have spared the children across the world.

"Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" on October 11, 1963 was an episode that we elementary students could not relate to since none of us had ever flown in a plane. However, the image of the goblin on the wing was an image that haunted us for years to come. We did not quite understand that the real goblins were those men who hid in windows and dark corridors waiting for their moment of infamy. We would see this reality in a few weeks on our black and white screens of a young leader gunned down and the funeral procession as a nation dressed in black mourned. Black and white images were appropriate for our lives in late November, 1963.

"The Odyssey of Flight 33" on February 24, 1961 caused us to imagine what it would be like lost in time on a plane, even though, we had never been on a plane. For that matter, time travel was a theme which we pondered on as much as our young minds could so, especially when our teacher, Mrs. _____ , was in one of her moods and decided to punish one of us for the sheer enjoyment of it. We all hoped that Mrs. ____ would take a plane trip soon.

Anyway, it was an unusual and fearful time for us elementary students growing up in the shadows of the Cold War and the ever lingering prospect of the destruction of our civilization. The Twilight Zone brought us some time to escape these vestibules of life.

In addition, some of these episodes scared us where a glass of hot milk and cookies were no comfort for our nightly repose. A hug or an encouraging word from a parent that there would be a tomorrow always helped us kids get through the school week. Of course, there would be another episode of The Twilight Zone to watch and experience.

Please enjoy these episodes and see what lessons you can gain from these intriguing stories for your life in 2009.

(Best Episodes of the Series)
『These are undoubtedly the best episodes of the series. "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" was adapted from the 1951 radio script "The Button Pushers" also scripted by Serling. "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" almost gave director Richard Donner a heart-attack when Edd Byrnes and William Shatner played a practical joke on the director. The name of Henry Bemis' wife, Helen, was an in-joke to Burgess Meredith's real-life ex-wife.

Trivia supplied not from the DVD, but from the book, "The Twilight Zone: Unlocking the Door to a Television Classic" because the 800 plus page book is a P-E-R-F-E-C-T companion to the DVD. Before or after you watch an episode, you can use the book to uncover the in-jokes, bloopers and trivia that make viewing these episodes fun. Both are available on Amazon.』

(Great Volume in a Great Collection)
『So much of what we see on the classic TZ episodes has been redone to death these days. These are some of the ORIGINAL stories from a classic age of sci-fi suspense. This volumes includes four of the best episodes ever. It really is odd that they put such complete quality on one disc. This volume will not disappoint! Highly recommended.』

(A perfect collection of TZ episodes!)
『Ever since the New Years/4th of July Marathons on SciFi channel started, I have been hooked on The Twilight Zone.

This dvd is a great array of representative episodes: Time Enough at Last, The Monsters are Due on Maple Street, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet and The Odyssey of Flight 33 are the episodes featured. Burgess Meredith, William Shatner, over-reacting, mob mentalities, the unexplainable, the ironic, and the human are all here. Everything TZ embodies in every episode and in its overall ideal is here on this dvd.

A good choice for a first time buyer/viewer. This one is sure to please.』

『Tommie Lee Jones and Will Smith in the same movie, what more needs to be said!』
『This imaginative summer comedy from director Barry Sonnenfeld (Get Shorty) is a lot of fun, largely on the strength of Will Smith's engaging performance as the rookie partner of a secret agent (Tommy Lee Jones) assigned to keep tabs on Earth-dwelling extraterrestrials. There's lots of comedy to spare in this bright film, some of the funniest stuff found in the margins of the major action. (A scene with Smith's character being trounced in the distance by a huge alien while Jones questions a witness is a riot.) The inventiveness never lets up, and the cast--including Vincent D'Onofrio doing frighteningly convincing work as an alien occupying a decaying human--hold up their end splendidly.--Tom Keogh

(...a profound, intellectual journey through words, sight and sound...)
『It was great to watch Babylon 5 in its entirety because this series is a well-written story which respects the viewers and does not talk down to them. The actors are fantastic, too. It is not driven by special affects, but, the aliens are innovative creations. I watched this series last summer with my husband and it was a wonderful way for us to grow closer. It really makes something fun to come home to. I highly recommend the series because even if you watched some of the episodes seeing them all together is amazing!』

(it works good and fast delivery)
『the dvds work good and had fast delivery was good. ty for your time and your work』

(GREAT SHOW)
『If you like sci fi, this is a good tv series. I watched it when it was on tv and loved it. I heard from a friend that it was at a good price for all five seasons and checked it out myself. It was there and I did purchase it that night. I got it in great shape and in a short time period. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others.』

(A nice extra for B5 fans)
『If you enjoyed Babylon 5 you will enjoy this collection of movies. Each is about 90 minutes long and amounts to an extended episode. They are fine as stand-alone pieces, but it does help to be familiar with the series. We are glad we bought them, because they complete the set and were satisfying additions to our B5 collection.』

(Babylon 5 The Movie Collection)
『After ten years it is a pleasure to see and own these Movies. This is Sci fi writing at its best.』
『First time on DVD! Initiate jump sequence for feature-length tales about key events in the B5 chronology.』
『TheBabylon 5pilot movieThe Gatheringwas originally broadcast in 1993 a full year ahead of the regular show. A somewhat dull tale of an attempt to assassinate Koch, the Vorlon ambassador toB5, the feature served to introduce Commander Jeffery Sinclair (Michael O'Hare) and Security Chief Michael Garibaldi (Jerry Doyle) as well as familiarize the audience with the unique environment of a five-mile-long space station in the year 2257. Missing many of the main cast, and suffering from a leaden pace and mediocre music score, series creator J Michael Straczynski later improvedThe Gatheringby tightening the cut for a special edition (the version released on DVD), adding some deleted character moments and commissioning a new score from series composer Christopher Franke.

Four new TV movies were part of the deal to syndicateBabylon 5.In the Beginningis a prelude set 10 years beforeBabylon 5, telling the story of the Earth-Minbari war. Told retrospectively, many of the mysteries revealed gradually in the main series are recounted, making the show a collection of spoilers for newcomers while adding little for established fans. It is effective to see events only previously talked about, and enjoyable to have most of the main cast playing younger versions of themselves.River of Soulsis a self-contained adventure featuring a return of the Soul Hunters from Season One, whileThirdspaceoffers a spectacular Lovecraftian space opera which slots into the saga after the end of the Shadow War.A Call to Armsis the most important of the TV films, laying the ground for the future TV seriesCrusade. Set five years after the Shadow War, it tells the story of a Drahk revenge attack on Earth. A final showcase for Bruce Boxleitner as Sheridan, the story fits between fifth-season episodes "Objects at Rest" and "Sleeping in Light." The cliffhanger ending sets the scene for new starshipExcaliburto boldly go on a five-year mission to explore strange new worlds and find a cure for the Shadow virus infecting the Earth.--Gary S. (I began dreading to read this novel from the horrifying reviews, but...)
『This novel literally surprised me. The beginning was page-turning, and immediately I began to think that the "dying but living again" scene would be the only scene i would like in the entire book. I was gladly proven wrong. I had such low expectations, but the ending made it memorable to me. However, the story of a highschool girl wanting a taste of popularity never ceased to strike a nerve on me. It's really cliche, but i liked the story for the twist, and the "gentle" ending. I had a warm, fuzzy feeling bubble up inside me while i was crying (which was weird even if I am overly sensitive). I was sad, yet happy with who Gillian ended up with. Gary had such a wonderful charm to him, and I just wished David was more developed and not such a shallow guy. But overall, I'l give it a 4 stars because it was memorable to me. You should give this book a chance and not have such high expectations for it because it surely isn't a Rashel, Mary-Lynette, or Hannah. Gillian is a normal highschool girl that is almost too close to our everyday girls.』

(Great coming of age story with some magic mixed in!)
『I love this book! I've noticed that the bad reviews complain that the characters are too superficial, but I disagree. This novel has a lot of profound underlying themes that should be acknowledged. The main character, Gillian Lennox, is more like a teenage girl than any of the other female protagonists in LJ Smith's other Night World books. Gillian comes from a lonely home and longs to find acceptance and happiness. She wants to be popular, but only because she thinks it will bring her the acceptance, love and attention she can't find at home. I think a lot of readers can relate to that ( I certainly could!) and maybe that's why this book gets bad reviews - because it hits a little too close to home.

Her "angel", Gary, is hilarious - I literally found myself laughing out loud at some of his remarks. He helps Gillian grow up and he helps her discover her witch heritage. This is an interesting take on what it's like to discover that you actually belong in the Night World as opposed to many of the other books in the series in which the humans are told of the Night World illegally.

This book is also a great follow-up to Spellbinder because it's about the Harman witch clan and also involves a restless spirit that the protagonist must help return to the Other Side. If you look past the "superficiality" (seemed to me that Gillian was just lonely and sad, not superficial), this is a great read. Highly recommend it!』

(First One That I've Read, And Definately Coming Back For More)
『This is the first of the Night World books that I've read, so I can't really judge it by comparison. I found this book (as a seperate entity) to be a very good book! Gillian is smart and a bit socially awkward. She doesn't think very much of herself at all, especially since no one at her school knows that she exists and her home life is crumbling. Angel is a compelling character, having hidden motives, unknown origins and witty dialogue. I can agree that David was less than superb... But he wasn't really the main focus of the book anyway! As the book progresses we see the developing of a bond between Angel and Gillian, an explanation for Gillian's home problems, an exploration of witchcraft, and an overall view of teenage life (which can really suck).

Anyway, I found this to be a very enjoyable book that I kept coming back to in any free moment of my day.』

(My favorite night world series book)
『This book was kind of different from the other Night World series, but it was my absolute favorite. once i started reading, it was impossible to put down. The story is amazing and it is full of surprises and things you don't expect and it just makes you bite down on your lip in anticipation of what's to come. It is soooooo good. People need to read this. I think the only reason other people did not like it as much as the other books in the series is because you don't know of the night world until probably the mid-end of the book. IT IS FREAKING AMAZING THOUGH.

READ IT.』

(Boring? Please!)
『Gillian Lennox is your typical high school outcast. She walks the halls hiding behind a curtain of hair, seeming so timid that people either don't notice her or, if they do, believe she's from the junior high.

A near-death experience completely changes all of that. Gillian freezes to death but is stopped by an angel claiming it's not her time. Given the choice, Gillian decides to try life again--but this time she has a guardian angel at her side, guiding her. She cuts her hair, dresses to stand out, and erupts from the sidelines with a blazing confidence that wins over most of the school.

Dark Angel is highly underrated, simply because the Night World isn't so deeply touched upon as it is in other books. What makes this so remarkable, however, is the exploration of "lost witches." Lost witches (also known as "psychics" or "clairvoyants") were briefly touched upon in the first book, Secret Vampire. It's what a life-like experience WOULD be for a human girl, finding out bits and pieces of a terrifying and mystical world you were previously unaware of.

Gillian is a strong character. She undergoes major emotional changes with the help of "Angel," and in the end finds an inner strength she can hold on to and call her own.

My biggest complaint would be David's characterization. Tanya, the forefront antagonist and his ex-girlfriend, attracted more attention than Gillian's love interest, and that is a little sad. L.J. Smith can certainly make strong antagonists and fascinating (if pacifist) males (as she did in Soulmate), but with David she fell a bit short. Nothing about David made me smile and think, "Yes, Gillian, he's worth it!"

Other than that, it's a wonderful addition to the series. Not to be missed.』

『Rescued from near death by a mysterious guardian angel who becomes her constant companion, shy Gillian learns the secrets of popularity from the angel and is noticed by handsome David, but the angel begins to make scary demands.』

(Horror Trivia)
『This book is AWESOME! I'm saddened that it is out of print, and would love if the authors (if still living) could complile another book along the same lines of all the horror movies that have come out since this book was published.』

(horror movies?)
『This book is a wonderful addition for any lunatic's library. It's not interesting, not fun and not informative.

It has no information about horror movies. So if you are expecting a dictionary on horror movies, forget it, you'll get dumb questions like "What were Dracula's teeth made out of?"』

(So scary, but oh so good!!!)
『I've always heard, "Don't judge a book by it's cover," but this cover is the ultimate in horror and so is the book! This book is full of very entertaining bits of trivia. It covers history and drama when it comes to great horror films. It is a very fun book to challenge your knowledge and reminesce on the movies of your childhood. It really inspired me to catch up on some movies I haven't seen. Luckily,I caught a few of them around Halloween time on television! Good thing I had this amazing, colossal book around!!!!』

(EXCELLENT)
『I am such a Horror movie buff that I did notice a few of my favorites that were missed but my bother and I had a great time of asking each other questions and I am happy to report we did great........... if you love horror movies this it the book for you................please note that this book contains older movies so you have to be a true fan all the way back to the 1930's...................you will love it.....』

(A Rare Treat)
『I'm no expert; my main claim to fame in this area is that Psychotronic Video printed my letter correcting them about US distribution of Italian exploding-Brussels-spouts-opus Alien Contamination. Oh, and I like horror movies an awful lot.

This book is a delight. Some chapter titles ("Dracula and Other Vampires") are obvious but necessary; others ("Screams of Laughter," "Deadlier Than the Male") are quirkier and more inspired. If, like me, you saw most of these films as a kid, The Amazing Colossal Book is a great refresher course. If you haven't seen the films, this book should whet your appetite, as the photos alone are worth the price of admission.

Why isn't it in bookstores everywhere, or piled all over convention tables everywhere? I dunno. The "answers on next page" (rather than buried somewhere in the back of the book) format is a stroke of genius, making it impossible to stop turning pages long after midnight.』

『This book will haunt you--until you get the answers right. It is a devilishly delightful collection of 1,814 questions and answers about the best and worst horror films ever made. From the silent movies of the 1920s to the scream queens of the 1990s, the topics range from vampires to werewolves to haunted houses and mad scientists to creature features and giant apes. More than 160 photographs infest the pages of The Amazing, Colossal Book of Horror Trivia, including the greats of horror cinema like Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff, Vincent Price, Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Fay Wray, Ingrid Pitt, and Barbara Steele.

In addition to listings of the Top 5 films per subject, Lampley, Beck, and Clark have also noted the highlights from the lives and works of the legendary stars and directors who have made this genre popular across the century. You'll never sleep without a nightlight again.』

(Fantastic conclusion)
『Seriously, what a comeback after a snoozer the second book was!

Jenny, Dee, Michael and Audrey are playing the final game to save their friends. Only this time they have to find an entrance to the Shadow World to be able to play.

This book is everything I expected and more. We find out more about the Shadow World, about Julian and experience emotional growth of all characters.

The book is scary, intense, and romantic at the same time. The ending is sad but you know it couldn't have ended any other way...』

(Great Series)
『I read this book years ago and I remember absolutely loving it. It's taken me years to find it again (I could never remember the title or author). I'm not sure I've ever read a book that has haunted me and disturbed me as much as this one.

A group of teens face an evil, deserted amusement park with rides and objects intent on doing them harm. Jenny, Dee, Michael and Audrey all set out to find Jenny's boyfriend, Tom and her cousin, Zach. Jenny constantly resists the charming Julian and proves herself as stronger than anyone ever thought her to be. Julian, who was introduced earlier in the series as the demanding and ruthless evil Shadow Man, shows that he has a much more caring and vulnerable side. Jenny and her friends face various obstacles and change along the way- their support, friendship and solidarity strengthening each other. The ending is bittersweet and, in my opinion, a tearjerker.

L.J. Smith should really consider writing a sequel to this series! The ending ends with some hope and really, I find the possibilities of what could be done now to be extremely interesting.

(Spoiler) What do you all think would happen IF Julian's name was carved once again? Would he be the same Julian with the same feelings, would he be as Julian was when he was first born, or would be another being entirely? These questions were never fully answered and I would love to know!』

(Forbidden Game 3)
『I do detest the ending however I don't think I'll spoil it for you but never the less still good story.』

(Really good book!!)
『This entire Trilogy is just amazing. I was given a present of the first book when I was about 7 (10 years ago), and I immediately wanted the next two! I fell in love with Julian there and then, and was never able to understand why Jenny didn't just choose him! I've read these books over 20 times, and they're all falling apart. Everybody in the entire world should read them, because you're missing out if you don't. I highly recommend them. The last book is a nice finish, but it's incredibly sad. I wish it had ended differently! (...)』

(be prepared to cry)
『In the trilogy of the Forbidden game i thought that the first and third were the best books I've ever read, and although the second was good it didnt even compare to these. I thought the game was great but if I were jenny I'm afraid I would miss out on it because one look and a few words from Julian and I would run away with him straight away. The books were made to be so real that I'm still searching for my own door, call me sad but you have to admit if Julian wanted you, you wouldn't be able to resist!』
『To rescue her boyfriend Tom and her cousin Zach from the evil Julian, Jenny Thornton and her friends--Audrey, Michael, and Dee--venture into the Shadow World, armed only with a set of runes that hold the key to the doors of hell.』

(The Mummy is fun for all)
『Love "The Mummy",a great ride. Endless fun movie. So much fun,I had to get "The Return Of The Mummy". So you see the endless fun keeps going on&I hope the ride never ends.』

(Great service)
『The product was delivered earlier than I expected Great service And what I had ordered』

(Good film)
『This is still the best of the 3 mummy movies. I thought the film looked great in Blu-Ray. Very crisp and detailed. I always liked the chemistry between Rachel Weisz (one of my favorite actresses) and Brendan Fraser. The special effects throughout the film are very good. Sometimes the acting and script is a little too cheesy, and the John Hannah character can be very annoying (he plays Rachel Weisz' brother in the film), but the filmmakers were obviously going for the Indiana Jones "matinee" feel so it's forgivable. Not a great film but fun. I believe Rachel Weisz carries this film, however, and it wouldn't have worked without her.』
『A non-stop action movie set in Egypt!』
『If you're expecting bandaged-wrapped corpses and a lurching Boris Karloff-type villain, then you've come to the wrong movie. But if outrageous effects, a hunky hero, and some hearty laughs are what you're looking for, the 1999 version ofThe Mummyis spectacularly good fun. Yes, the critics called it "hokey," "cheesy," and "pallid." Well, the critics are unjust. Granted, the plot tends to stray, the acting is a bit of a stretch, and the characters occasionally slip into cliché, but who cares? When that action gets going, hold tight--those two hours just fly by.

The premise of the movie isn't that far off from the original. Egyptologist and general mess Evelyn (Rachel Weisz) discovers a map to the lost city of Hamunaptra, and so she hires rogue Rick O'Connell (Brendan Fraser) to lead her there. Once there, Evelyn accidentally unlocks the tomb of Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo), a man who had been buried alive a couple of millennia ago with flesh-eating bugs as punishment for sleeping with the pharaoh's girlfriend. The ancient mummy is revived, and he is determined to bring his old love back to life, which of course means much mayhem (including the unleashing of the 10 plagues) and human sacrifice. Despite the rather gory premise, this movie is fairly tame in terms of violence; most of the magic and surprise come from the special effects, which are glorious to watch, although Imhotep, before being fully reconstituted, is, as one explorer puts it, rather "juicy." Keep in mind this film is as much comedy as it is adventure--those looking for a straightforward horror pic will be disappointed. But for those who want old-fashioned eye-candy kind of fun,The Mummyranks as one of choicest flicks of 1999.--Jenny Brown
