(Informative dull discussion on exciting Presidential race)

Paul Begala, Bob Schieffer, Jonathan Alter speak with Charlie Rose about the 2008 Presidential race. As two of them Begala and Alter are clear Obama supporters there is imbalance in the discussion. Alter especially criticizes the new McCain as having betrayed the old McCain that Alter admired. Schieffer who will moderate the final Presidential debate is more neutral, but he too like the other panelists suffers from a lack of humor and wit. It is a kind of 'old boy' discussion in which they mostly nod their heads at one another as they explain once again that Sarah Palin has 'energized the base' and Obama needs a bit more firewater in his appearances. Their recommendation is that Obama attack McCain on his flip- flops which have made him less a maverick than he pretends to be. They do not worry so much about outlining a strategy for McCain though they do strongly recommend that he stay away from the low- road approach. They claim it will play havoc with him if he is elected. And this when they acknowledge dirty politics and unfair attacks have been part of Presidential races since the days that Jefferson sent his minions to tell lies about Adams.
It would have been fairer to do this program with at least one out and out McCain supporter , even if he did not have at the moment a new book to sell as each of the panelists did.

I loved this book. It is inspiring when someone has a view of a wrong perpetrated and actually stands up and tries to effect change. I spent
many hours online googling websites and videos listed in the back regarding
the facts of 9/11 after devouring the book. I am convinced 9/11 was an inside job after seeing this stuff. Google WTC building 7, watch the videos of it fall and you will start your own quest for the truth.
A personal journey into the world of activism for 9/11 Truth. Questioning the official story of the 9/11 attacks has many hazards, not least of which as a motivator to speaking up about "false flag" terror and the manipulation by governments of their populations to go to war. To a college professor of Religious Studies, seeing Islam portrayed as a religion of violence was spiritually and mentally degrading, not to mention socially destructive. This book discusses one person's awakening to the lies told to us about 9/11 and how they compelled him to activism and a hunger strike against John McCain as he campaigned for President. McCain wrote the Foreword to Popular Mechanics cover-up of 9/11. The author sat for 17 days outside the office of Senator John McCain waiting for an answer about 9/11 issues. He did get them, and the answers may foreshadow how President McCain will confront the requests for a new 9/11 investigation, conduct foreign policy, and his handling of the Middle East wars.

This is a surprisingly charming and thought-provoking book which avoids the typical "Simple Living" tips like decluttering your closet, and instead focuses mainly on how to simplify yourself from the inside out. That is, if we examine WHY we complicate our lives with so much STUFF and so many activities, we can more effective in getting rid of a lot of it.

There may not be any major new ideas of breakthroughs here, but McCain has a writing style that expresses her sincerity. She just seems like the kind of woman you'd want to call friend and nothing in the book comes across as exploitative or opportunitistic (how many "simple living" books have you read that seem merely to be written just to take advantage of the current interest in the subject?)

Anyway, I give it a big thumbs up for anyone (mostly women, though) wanting to have a more fulfilling and less stressful life.
