『I'm a bit confused by some of the earlier reviews, but i'm about to place my second order from this seller because my first shipment arrived incredibly fast (1-2 days) and was EXACTLY as (if not better than) described!! Meaning, the case was of AMARY type (not elite) just like what Disney packages...with the silver EMBOSED logo on top, rounded corners and locking latch.

Overall, these cases were of much higher quality than the ones i get with my blu-ray discs. I use these cases to replace the "used" blu-rays i buy from block buster since their cases are just hideous.

I will say, the company that shipped my 10 cases was [...] coming from Olney, MD. Maybe this is not the usual supplier for this seller, but i hope my next order comes from them as well because they exceeded my expectations in every way!!! Thank you!!!

I just received my order after placing this review and do i look STUPID!! This was my second order and these WERE NOT the embossed logo and the cases DID have the square left edges.

What i can tell you is my first order came from a company called [...]NOT Media Supply. Maybe Media Supply was low on inventory and had to sub contract.

So, i can only tell you go to [...] for the embossed logo, rounded edges and locking latch cases.
HOWEVER, when i called Media Supply to get an RMA number to return the product, the lady i spoke with was very nice and in fact, let me keep the ten cases and STILL refunded my money.

So i still need to reorder for my embossed cases but at the same time was treated more than fairly by the company rep. Now, does that make this review negetive or positive? You decide (because i honestly don't know)...』

『Just what I needed, shipped fast at a great price and in perfect condition. Yes, not the same exact ones used by studios (those have patents on them). Just the binding edge is slightly more square, and blue color just slightly off, but close enough. Blends in with the rest of my Blu's, especially since now there are 4 different cases being used by studios...here a description of the four I know about...

Normal sized with stamped Blu logo
Normal sized with embossed silver Blu logo
Normal sized with embossed silver Blu logo with "holes" on both sides of case (uses less plastic)
Thinner sized with snap closer and embossed silver Blu logo in oval

Not to mention the three types of two disc cases...plus 3 disc cases, 4 disc..etc.』

『I find these to be better cases then the ones Blu-ray movies come in. I had to buy these cause one fell off my DVD shelf and cracked the bottom round edge and no longer would close.

I like these cases cause they are square like normal DVD cases and are thicker and stronger. The retail ones movies come in feel thin and cheaply made.』

『I agree with Fernado's differentiation between Elite's cases and Amaray's cases. However, I don't think these are either. Looking at my movie collection, the Elite boxes have an "ELITE TM" logo embossed inside the case to the left and below where the disc is kept, whereas these cases have no embossing. Although Elite cases are not a rounded as Amaray's, they are more so than the one's being sold here (especially on the binding which is quite obvious lined up on the bookshelf). These cases are also a slightly different shade of blue, and I think they are thicker as well (I don't have calipers to test, but I have struggled to slide them into cardboard covers that surrounded some of my Elite cases.』

『Elmo's World is easy and fun. A 30 months girl whose speaking Korean doesn't ask me what are they talking about. Even though she doesn't speak in English, somehow she understands what the Elmo says. And she can follow Elmo's songs such as sky, mail, family, jump, and school. Because they are all the same tune.』

『I have several older sesame street VHS tapes that i was gifted when we had twins and I thought I would buy a few more DVD's to add to our collection. This is just a terrible mix of VERY old clips and none are good to sing along to let alone sing yourself silly. Don't waste your money.』

Plus there is nothing NOT awesome about Honkers and Dingers and YipYips. Other favourites are "Jellyman Kelly," sung by James Taylor, "One Banana," and "Everything In The Wrong Place Ball," featuring Oscar the Grouch. The weakest song is probably "Waving Goodbye With My Heart."

Also worth watching, though somewhat more contrived, is the "Get Up And Dance" video, also of the same era.』

『As for the person who complained that Martin Scorcese called the '80's the "me" decade, that was a popular theme of the time. Maybe you should go back and look at 80's and the literature about it from all kind of sources. Just like the 20's was often refered to as the "Roaring" 20's. 80's was often called the "me" decade. I also think it is not a liberal or conservative designation. Following the internalization of values and desires in the 70's, the 80's was when technology, growth, income and development all led to the application of the 70's trend of an individual ethic. People DID become more selfish and self centered, more complacent, in need of more instant gratification.』

InThe Century: America's Time, a 12-part documentary on six videotapes that is a companion to the book of the same name, Jennings guides us through a century of technology and advancement like no other. (Love the movie, hate the print)
『I've enjoyed this film for years, and was delighted when I found it was finally available on DVD.

Unfortunately, when I got the Asian print ( a fact which my supplier did not mention), I found that its quality resembles a cell-phone camera pirate print.

My advise to y'all is to wait for a better version. When a good one comes out, I'll be throwing the one I bought away.』

『The African Queen has quality from start to finish. The actors are people who can actually act and do so at a very high level. The scenes were shot on location though the scenes of the boat rushing through whitewater were clearly not up to today's level of faking. The dialogue was excellent with just the right mix of humor and drama. I had to settle for VHS instead of DVD for now but quite pleased to add such a quality movie to my personal collection.』

(Charlie's Angel)
『The film opens at a tropical forest (bird calls) in German East Africa, September 1914. There is a missionary chapel in a village where the minister and his sister lead the congregation in a song. (Some don't look too religious to me.) A small steamboat approaches. [Is it too small to carry much cargo?] A brawl outside attracts the men from the chapel. The captain isn't too silent. [Can a minister be promoted if he marries wealth?] The war will delay the mail. Enemy aliens can be imprisoned. [The captain's opinions seem anachronistic.] German troops arrive to burn the village and disperse the people. Samuel is shocked by the events and dies. The captain explains why they must flee the German forces. [Why are English missionaries in German lands?]

Rose has plans to fight for Britain! Charlie goes along with her plan. [Believable?] The personal interactions keep the story going. The boat travels down the white-water rapids. Can gin purify river water? [Is this product placement? Is the film too talky?] There is danger is going down the river. Shots are fired at them. There is another perilous passage through rocks. They repair the mechanical problem. [This pads out the story.] Bugs are plentiful by the river bank. Will they get lost? Are there leeches? Will the boat get stuck in the mud? A heavy rain raises the river and lifts the boat, they drift into the lake. [Does the film drag here?]

The presence of the gunboat is a new hazard. Can they attack the 'Louise'? [Believable?] Is their attack suicidal even in the dark? They are caught in a forbidden zone. The penalty is death for spies. But there is an accident! There is a happy ending, mission accomplished.
This seems like a low budget film with two big stars to carry the story. Charlie is Canadian because Bogie doesn't do accents, unlike Kate. I wonder how this follows the novel or real history?

He's a no-account drunk with an attitude that hides his disillusionment with the world, she's a strait-laced, prim and proper dame that doesn't have a sense of humor or adventurous bone in her body. 『I've been doing this workout for many years and it is still one of my favorites. I only wish it was on DVD.』

『I started this routine shortly after it came out. I still use it today. I know most of the words by heart and can use the routine with my mp3 player - no video.
I like the variety in the class, the change of the music, and the change of instuctors. I have to admit, when I'm pressed for time, I skip the warm up and cool down, and only sometimes do the ab part, but the aerobic part of this video is very productive without making anyone turn and twist when tired which is so dangerous!
This is my favorite of every workout I have ever tried.』

『I have been using this workout over the years since it first came out. Those who say this workout is "too easy" really don't seem to understand the ways to make the workout more intensive by adding steps, hand weights, or increasing movements. Still, I started this workout in 1992 as my first ever, and thought it was hard enough for a beginner. Once you learn the routine, its easy just to breeze through without having to think too much. However, anytime you want to increase your level of difficulty, the ways are there. Take it easy to burn off that piece of cake, or as your fitness level increases, add steps, light handweights, or WORK harder. To me the ab routine is too hard for a beginner, and certainly I DO NOT recommend it for anyone with a bad back. Better to get a pilates tape to strengthen your core than to do the ab routine in this workout. However, the step routine IS a low impact routine, making it perfect for a beginner, or someone like me who has "fallen off the wagon" in part to injuries from a car accident. This will always, for me, be the best way to get a decent aerobic workout without hurting yourself, and with maximum benefit. You can easily do this workout 5 days a week and still be able to function in your daily life with lots of energy, not all worn out from some killer routine. If you're just an average joe, trying to get rid of 20 lbs and not yet interested in some muscle routine, need to be able to function at work after your morning exercise, just the aerobics please, help your heart out, this is the tape!

They really need to get this on DVD though.』

『This multilevel class is safe for and accessible to beginners, and just right for intermediates. Three of Fonda's able and motivating instructors teach the 45-minute step class. Half the room does lower-intensity moves; the other uses higher steps and higher-intensity techniques. One participant does the routines totally without the step to guide beginners or others who don't feel comfortable using the step. (Perhaps I am too old for these type of movies...)
『I don't mean to be negative about it, but this movie is just another one of those "let's put animals in the movie so that we can impress the kids" but my son and his friends would not sit in the theater to watch the movie because it did not catch their attention very well. At first, they thought it was cool because the hamsters were talking, but then they just got bored. It is pretty sad when talking gerbils do not even thrill 6-year-olds... maybe animal lovers liked it?』

(Harmless and fun entertainment for kids and the adults that accompany them)
『We were trying to figure out which family-friendly movie to take our almost 5 year-old this weekend, and though I was rooting for "Ponyo", hubby favored "G-Force", so that's what we watched. It was fun, but this is definitely one of those movies that require you to check your brains at the door. The plot is rather silly, about an entrepreneur [played by Bill Nighy of all people] who plans on taking over the world via his home appliances. The only ones who seem able to stop him are a bunch of guinea pigs, and yes, a mole of superior intellect who have been trained to carry out espionage activities. The guinea pigs comprise Darwin, Juarez, Blaster, and the mole is called Speckles. Well, the Feds get wind of the operation and shut it down, and the animals find themselves in a pet store. To cut a long story short - the rest of the movie deals with Darwin and company trying to free themselves and help bring the bad guy down.

My almost 5-year-old was riveted to the screen though a lot of the humor seemed lost on her. The humor was ok, though it did seem pitched more to older kids than the younger ones. There are lots of cute moments as is typical for movies like this, and the CGI effects are pretty decent though not spectacular. My main complaint is the use of tech-speak which came across as overly heavy for a movie geared towards kids...I understand why it was used, but it seemed rather unnecessary. Final verdict - family-friendly, mindless kids' entertainment with the requisite positive messages embedded within, i.e. teamwork, friendship, believing in one's self etc.』

『Guinea pigs might be offended with such sanitized furs dressing that never pick straws of dust. Except of few wet furs, the extra clean and dry coats of the actors hindered the indulgence in the scenario.

Relying on a governmental recruitment scenario to bridge the world of animals was not a perfect choice, taking into account that those guinea pigs possess greater skills different from artificial intelligence.

The excessive rationalization of lingual communication with headsets was another unnecessary gadget in a fictional tale.

In addition, on the down side, the talking voices were not the best or the most provocative. Let alone the austere pursuit of the super semiconductor chip that falls beyond the realm of young viewers.

『A line from the movie. I loved it. I mean, what else can a guinea pig do to defend itself?

There is a team of combat-trained, commando guinea pigs. They call themselves the G-Force and go on special missions, like Special Agents. I saw this 3-D Disney flick in the movies and found it very cute and entertaining. Their mission is to break into the estate of a former arms dealer, hack into his computer, and find out what he developed this special microchip for. This one FBI Special Agent (Sector Head, I guess) doesn't see any use for the G-Force, so when they APPEAR to have botched a mission, the FBI guy shuts down the operation and the commandos wind up for sale in a pet store. Of course, the story begins here with the team trying to get out and back together again, and continue on with their mission. One of the guinea pigs is Penelope Cruise and another is Nicholas Cage and there are others. It's cute and it has great computer graphic imaging. It seems to be fine for little children. The worst I remember hearing was "poop in his hand" and "get your face out of my butt." There were a bunch of little ones at the theater and they all seemed to enjoy the movie as much as I did. (Hey, my inner child insisted on being entertained.)』

『Take the Mission Impossible franchise and replace the MI team with cute, fuzzy, and very small animals. Somehow, it works. The CGI critters blend seamlessly with the live actors and scenes, making it incredibly easy to suspend disbelief.

As with any good kids' movie, there's enough wit to keep the paying grown-up amused. The "you can if you try" message comes across as heavy handed at one point and a plot reversal seems abrupt, but those things seem minor. It's a cute popcorn movie for the kids.

Bruckheimer, the action genius behind the likes of thePirates of the Caribbean,Con Air,The Rock,Armageddon, and many more, here teams with visual effects maestro Hoyt Yeatman, who writes and directs. The combo is potent, and the fact that they streamed their blow-'em-up vision through a film about tiny rodents saving the world makes the whole confection a hilarious family-friendly experience as well as a satisfying action adventure. The premise isn't earth-shattering: oddball, unexpected heroes are called on to save the day (Men in Black,Underdog, etc.). But the lowly guinea pig has been long overdue to get its moment in the spotlight. And now the free world knows whom it can really trust. The film mixes the animated heroes with real-life actors, including the sardonic British character actor Bill Nighy, who plays an evil mogul out to take over and/or destroy the world. The U.S. government, it turns out, has been nurturing a special squad for occasions just such as this. It's just that it's been nurturing them in small pens with wood shavings on the floor and running wheels for exercise. Will Arnett, deadpan and spot-on, plays the human agent who has the unenviable task of wrangling the guinea pig G-Force, and is a deft foil for the bad guys as well as for the mini-heroes.

But the true powerhouse acting belongs to those giving voices to the guinea pig agents, including Sam Rockwell, Penélope Cruz, Steve Buscemi, and, as the voice of a domesticated layabout, Jon Favreau. The film's standout, though, is Tracy Morgan, whose Agent Blaster is bellicose, fearless, and as full of malapropisms as Morgan's character on30 Rock. (In fact, the viewer keeps half-expecting Blaster to turn to Cruz's female agent, Juarez, and yell "Liz Lemon!")G-Forceis full of belly laughs for kids, as well as their action-film-fan parents.--A.T.
