i thought you got three helicopters and one controller (three different channels) it turns out you get three controllers also. now both my friends an I can fly. Don't use outside as the controllers have trouble (infra red requires walls to bounce the signal off of).

This item needs improvements to make it user friendly.
The screen is VERY difficult to see. Back lighting would be a welcome addition.
The start-up numbers should be distinctive. The player should be able to distinguish them from the selections he enters.
The puzzles do vary in difficulty, and I think all are solvable without guessing. There have only been a couple I haven't been able to get, out of over 100 that I've done. (It has about 900 puzzles.)

The touch screen works well with the stylus. The holder for the stylus works pretty well too; I actually haven't lost it and it's been a year. I've been careful not to scratch the screen. It's just plastic, but recessed. I don't know if it would hold up in a rougher environment.

There is no backlight, so this means you need a point light source to be able to see the screen clearly. As in sunlight or a lamp. On the other hand, I've been using the unit for over a year with the same batteries.

There is no indication (like an underline) of which numbers were the initial clues. So backing out mistakes is more difficult. I've used another unit that let you mark a cell as a guess. Excalibur makes a more deluxe (and expensive) version of the unit, but I haven't checked if it has these kinds of features.

For the number of puzzles, price, and long battery life this unit is a good entry-level electronic version of the game.
Screen is VERY difficult to see and too small. There are eight contrast selections and not one of them works for me. This was a gift and it is a great idea, but I need to find one with a larger screen.

This game is just as good as an IQ Test, but with gender-biased questions. Our family plays it all the time and it's always a close game. Heaps of fun!
My fiance and I purchased this game last night, we have only played once so far and we really enjoyed it! I won, so like the other reviewer said, it may be easier for women, but I just think think that the women may be more educated? It was a close game with my fiance and I and I highly recommend it!
I own both this Battle of the Sexes board game and the original, and I found this one to be just as entertaining as the first. The questions are very similar to those that would be on an actual IQ test. The one thing that disappointed me were the math questions. They seemed extremely simple... one example is "Mary lied to Fred about how much her shoes cost. She told him they were $400, but they were 2.5 times more than that. How much were the shoes?". It seemed too simple - and it was! All of the math questions aside, this is a great brain-teaser game to play as a group.
This is by far the worst board game I've ever played, in every way. Don't be fooled by the "IQ" in the title: unless yours is in the bottom 10%, you'll find the questions almost entirely lacking in challenge or interest. This is about the average level: "Fill in the blanks of this holiday classic: 'D-CK TH- H-LLS'".

That isn't to say that there are no challenges to be found in this game: for instance, some of the questions appear to have been translated from English to Chinese and back again. Here's a lovely design feature: there are two sets of question cards, for male and female, which are supposed to be kept separate, but their backs are the SAME COLOR, so if you accidentally mix up the rather large decks, you have to pick through them one-by-one to figure out which are male and female.

1,000 words really don't suffice to convey the awfulness of this game. If you got it for Christmas, don't open it! If you're thinking about getting it for your friends or family, don't! (Unless, of course, you want to send a subtle insult about the recipient's own "IQ".)
This game is supposed to ask the players questions that the opposite sex should know about. Guys answer 'girl-type' questions, girls answer 'guy-knowledge' questions. The women I played with new as many of the "guy" questions as the guys did, but the questions for the men (the ones that are supposedly female topics) were on things like sewing terminology. With 4 women attempting to answer questions (all college grads, too) that were intended for the men, they could still only get approx. 1 out of 4 correct. Game is very lopsided, which makes it not worth playing.

The trick is, this is not a trivia game. You'll need to unwrap word jumbles, dissect diagrams and work through word problems to reveal your true intellect. Ready? Ladies first. Gals, what poker term is synonymous with these words: even, water torrent. Now it's the guys' turn. Fellas, Ralph Lauren is to Romance as Lancome is to: No. 19, Mademoiselle, One or Tresor? The answers? Flush and Tresor, of course! Game comes with game board, 73 female question cards, 73 male question cards, 74 genius cards, 55 female wild cards, 55 male wild cards, 8 playing pieces and instructions. For 2 to 8 players.

I've been doing SuDoku puzzles for years and have beaten every level of the video game version Carol Vonderman's (PS2). Still, I wanted to be able to solve the really tough puzzles so I figured a book such as this would help. It's worthless unless you've never tried the game before. It has NOTHING about the advanced techniques like X-wings and Swordfish which are necessary to do the VERY hard ones. The book is very short, too; less than 100 pages. I suggest you save your money, do the easy ones, get practice, and go to the web for forums and sites which tell how to do the tough puzzles because the methods in this book aren't adequate, trust me!
Somewhat useful, though also disappointing; the "52 ideas" format is misleading as to the number of distinct strategies given in the book for solving Sudoku puzzles, which in fact is significantly smaller than 52.
This is the worst Sudoku book i ever tried. It's supposed to be so easy to use. A mathematician wrote it, and forgot how to write it for the average person. The rules are complicated, and the grids have the alphabet all around it supposedly to make it easier to place the numbers. It's not it's more confusing. What the author should of done was a few example puzzles step by step showing how you arrive at the correct answer as well as showing it. The grids need to be larger as well as the book itself. Format matters when you're trying to learn something or have trouble learning. I ended up throwing this book away. For me it was a waste of money and not worth it. I give this book 1 star.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! I can't stop solving the puzzles! I just bought the 1st book and the challenge edition because I love this one so much! I'm not a big math fan at all and I have become hooked on Sudoku! The other nice thing is that each page tells you which page the answer for that puzzle is on (other kids ones make you search a bit more). Also the puzzles are a nice size and easy to make out the numbers!
If your family, like mine, has noticed a discernable lack of breakfast table conversation since the sudoku craze hit the United States, and your kids seem a little bit put off by the fact that Mom and Dad both have their noses buried in a sudoku, why not quiet them down by shoving this lovely little book under their noses?

In all seriousness, though, this is a great sudoku book for kids or beginners, as is the Kids's Book of Sudoku 1, its predecessor. The puzzles start at VERY easy and move to what an adult's easy-intermediate level would be. Remember that math skills are not necessary for sudoku-it's a logic puzzle which just happens to use numbers (they're used entirely symbolically) so if your kid hates math, they still may very well enjoy this book.

Again, this is not JUST for kids, people who've never tried sudoku before may enjoy this book as it starts off at a super-basic level.

Don't waste your time. I picked it up for 9.99 at Best Buy and why O why did I trash the receipt? Half the games don't work, the other half aren't fun, and the only reason the games number in the 5000's is that each level of space invaders counts as a game, the ten versions of poker are nothing more than variations in the way the cards are represented, and, surprise, ten versions of turbo break out, each exactly the same save for the color of the ball and the blocks. The only game worth playing is Majong, the oriental game of matching tiles, but you can buy compilations specializing in the game so why bother with this thoughtlessly assembled package.
