customer 's review (Don't Bother) Sudoku is awesome, so what could be better than a game based on Sudoku, right? Wrong. The whole game is this: give four people the same puzzle, and see who finishes first. Thats it.
I could think of a dozen ways to turn sudoku into a game, and all would be more interesting than this. Everything was seemed hastily put together, and I had the impression that they were just trying to cash in on the Sudoku craze before the holiday season. Save your time.
Or if you are really compelled, just photocopy a blank puzzle and hand gove it out to your friends. That would be exactly the same game, but you can pick a puzzle level you like, play with more than four, and save money all at once. It's the brain-bending puzzle game that's taking the world by storm! Complete the 9 x 9 grid with a number sequence from 1 to 9 using each number only once. Challenge yourself or play against others -- this addicting game will keep your mind occupied for hours. Game contains 100 puzzles with six different levels of gameplay. Usually ships in 24 hours customer 's review (I do Sudoku!) The Sudoku board game allows players to compete in a multiplayer Sudoku game. Each player/team gets assigned a game board (mild, hot, or spicy) and races to see who can complete the puzzle first. The game includes two boards, two number sets, and one set of game cards. This game is very enjoyable and entertaining. Another neat feature is one player can use this game alone. Since the boards do not require a game card to work, the number of games is un-limited and can come from many different sources (books, magazines, website, etc), which requires you to place the given numbers yourself. This has provided us a great way to play Sudoku without the pencil and will continue to provide another way to enjoy Sudoku. Now you can play sudoku– the fascinating puzzle game– in teams.- The ultimate logic puzzle, direct from Japan
- Players race to see who can complete puzzles first
- Solo or team play
- More than 100 different puzzles
- Three different levels of challenge
- Includes 2 game trays and 2 sets of 81 number tiles
- 2 or more players
The sudoku game trays and number tiles bring a new level of tactile involvement to the puzzling game everyone is talking about- and nobody can resist!Safety warning: This product contains small parts that may present a choking hazard for young children. Rerations < Do You Sudoku? Game >

(New to Sudoku)
(Giant Book of Sudoku Presented by Will Shortz)
(Will Shortz)
(300 puzzles) This is a collection of sudoku puzzles compiled by Will Shortz, editor of the N.Y. Times Crossword Puzzles.
There are 250 regular Sudoku puzzles that fall into 4 categories; Light and Easy, Moderate, Demanding, and Beware very challenging. By and large the classifications are reasonable accurate. Nearly all 'easy' puzzles are do-able without notations or an eraser; the other 3 types will need some due consideration, requiring the solver to apply some of the standard Sudoku techniques that advanced solvers know and use, especially with the more difficult puzzles.
In addition, there are 10 super sudoku puzzles which are played on a 12x12 grid (instead of the normal 9x9 grid). But wait, there's more (sounds like a fast sell TV ad, doesn't it) also included are a 5 other games called END VIEW, SNAKY TILES, UP&DOWN, ALTERNATE CORNERS and SPIRAL GALAXIES. These are all number, letter or maze type games that some may find very interesting and challenging, but have little to do with Sudoku.
Conclusion: This puzzles are nicely sized for making notations and corrections but the book itself is not too big to take on a trip or such if you want to pass some time. It includes a reasonably assortment of easy to very hard sudoku puzzles. There are a few other solitary game/puzzles included as well. A good mixture for any Sudoku enthusiast. 5 STARS

This is a great book. I'm starting with the easy puzzles and working my way up to the harder ones. I bought one for my dad and he is now addicted as well. This book will keep me busy for a long time. Just what I was looking for. Will Shortz, need I say more, what he touches turns to gold, he and Carol Vorderman are greatest. Okay, I'm hooked! This is the latest puzzle book I picked up. I love doing Sudoku puzzles, and this ones pretty decent.

(A favorite&truly addictive!)
(I didn't find these to be difficult at all)
(Expands your technique)
(No easy puzzles) I look for Sudoku books with three qualities. First, I want puzzles that have only one solution. If I find a book that includes puzzles with more than one solution I discard it. Two, I want books with grids large enough that I can enter candidates in the cells. Third, I want books with challenging puzzles. Many of the descriptions on Amazon omit such info.
I prefer grids that are about 4½" x 4 ½". The grids in my newspaper are about 3" x 3" (which is tolerable because not many candidates are needed).
New York Post Su Doku Difficult (Wayne Gould): The puzzles have only one solution; the grids are about 3½" x 3 ½". There are 200 puzzles in this book. Gould does not need to make "pencil marks" and assumes the rest of us don't. Hence, small grids for difficult puzzles. These puzzles seemed more logical and intentionally designed than most. It's my favorite Sudoku book so far... I enjoy puzzles of a level that is medium "difficult", which is just what the book purported to be. Let me start by saying that I thoroughly enjoy killer sudoku problems, and I have quit doing normal sudoku. This book was given to me as a gift, and I breezed right through it. I did not find these puzles to be difficult at all. If you are used to sudoku puzzles, you will find that these can pretty much be solved using basic principles, and they won't present much of a challenge to you.
Bottom Line: If you are just getting into sudoku, you might find this book worthwhile, but if you've been doing them for awhile, I doubt you'll find this book to be a challenge at all. Difficult? Yes, but not impossible and very educational.
I've been utterly addicted to these puzzles for over a year now, and they truly are absorbing. I've never read anything about the technique involved other than the bare essentials underlying the game. Everything I've learned beyond that has been self discovered by doing puzzles of different levels. I've worked on books like Mensa Sudoku (Mensa), Sudoku Easy to Hard Presented by Will Shortz, Volume 3: 100 Wordless Crossword Puzzles (Sudoku Easy to Hard), and others, and have learned a lot over the past several months.
Generally speaking, the process boils down to elimination and selection of the obvious for easy puzzles. These are very easy to do and would be a great point to get younger children started on them; it really does develop a sense of number and place. Simple basic logic is used at intermediate levels, and here too, it would be good for kids, especially junior high level because it introduces patterns that have to be thought out logically to eliminate some of the possibilities. After that it becomes pattern recognition at higher levels, and the logic that is involved is much more complex. The most astonishing pattern is that sometimes found in the "fiendish," "evil," or "diabolical" level puzzles, because the answer is so counter intuitive.
Taking this into account, the reader will be able to recognize his or her own level and whether or not they're ready for something more. The New York Post Difficult Su Doku is as represented, difficult, but it offers a good opportunity to expand what you already know from the previous levels. I was amazed at how much I learned and how rapidly I put it to use.
I started out rather poorly at the beginning, frequently getting to what I thought would be the end of one only to find I'd goofed up somewhere. Sometimes I started over several times on the same puzzle before I got it right. By the time I was just under half way through the book, however, I found myself doing the puzzles as rapidly as I do easier ones. It all comes down to pattern recognition. Give it a try and don't give up.
Having become impatient with most sudoku book that devote a third of their space to easy puzzles, I was happy to find this one that has medium to hard puzzles. Through solving them I learned more about how to solve sudoku and have moved on to the author's 'fiendish' book.
200 New Difficult Puzzles -- They Are Not Going to Be Easy But You Are Ready Su Doku, "the crossword without words," comes with a warning: it is seriously addictive. You don't need to be a mathematical genius to solve these puzzles; it is simply a question of logic and a little patience.
