Because of this, he is on a home-cooked diet and he is doing great! But it has been very difficult finding good, nutritious store-bought treats that he likes. Sam's Yams have been a blessing . . . he looks forward to to his "Big Boyz" sweet potato every night. And the best part is knowing that the only ingredient is . . . a sweet potato!!!! No artificial colors or preservatives. The only drawback is that he gobbles it up very quickly. It lasts him 5 minutes, if we're lucky. But, Gunner highly recommends them as a good, tasty, healthy treat!』

(I couldnt have asked for more....) 『I read a lot of reviews about this and other such products, I have seen that mostly people who had had bad experiences would come to write a review, I decided to change it as I have been so pleased with this product and the merchant (baby age) that I definitely would like to give them both a 5 star rating. I am a software engineer and have very little exposure to assembling a furniture of this size, it was obviously not easy but luckily there were all the parts and all the screws and pictures that I needed, with little help from my wife I was able to put together this beautiful table in little less than 2 hours, so people with a little more experience would probably be get done in an hour or so. I read a review which stated that someone had to spend 6 hours to assemble this table, I think the key is not to apply your brains while assembling these devices and to rely on the pictures, it would make your life very easy, also the table is pretty stable, has a nice shine and once I wiped it clean it looks pretty good and I am pretty sure it would last many years and I probably would be able to resell it in two years time ;-), I would highly recommend this product and seller both.』

(Lovely) 『I purchased this for my daughter because it includes the Brahms' lullaby at the very end. When I first sang this lullaby to her when she was two and a half, she cried. I asked, "Why are you crying?" She said, "Because it's so pretty." We were in the guest bedroom on the second floor of her grandparents' house in Portland, a little bungalow in Northeast, the night before the Portland Marathon. The next morning, looking out the window, I said, "You can see the tree tops!" and she said, "But where is the Rockabye Baby?" So, when I bought this CD for her third birthday, we were pleasantly surprised by all the other selections as well - the sweetest pieces from a very wide time scale, from Bach to Elgar and Satie. I am particularly fond of the 4th track, "Dream Children", by Elgar, as well as the Prelude in C by Bach, which here is played on a harp. On the whole it is a very calming CD and is nice for going to sleep or grading my 7th grader's science work.』

(Hawkeye Writes a Historical Book) 『Never once did I see Alda playing this college professor in a small North Carolina town. I saw Alda playing his MASH character for 2 hours. Shows how much Alda loved his tv character that he resurrects everything about Hawkeye for this one. The humor, the irreverence at the film's battle scene conclusion, the womanizing. Surprised not to see Harry Morgan make a cameo appearance but then he was probably sitting in jail after beating up his wife and couldn't make it. Another reviewer here mentioned how terrible the music was and I just laughed. Although released in 1986, the music reminds me of the post disco era circa 1980 and really dates the film with its techno pop keyboard work and closing credit vocal. Just terrible! If you are going to watch this one, I recommend turning down the sound when the credits roll at the end.』

(A Terrific Little Movie) 『In the wrong hands this could have been another cutesy look at life and love among the yuppies, instead Hope Davis and a stellar cast (with a virtual but hysterical cameo by Philip Seymour Hoffman)and a good script make this a thoroughly enjoyable watch. Recently dumped (again) by Hoffman's character, Davis is depressed&angry at the bottom feeders she is forced to endure on endless blind dates culled from the respondents to a personal ad placed by her witty, vivacious, successful mother, played to perfection by Taylor Holland. In this parallel story telling technique - On the other side of the bar is Alan Gelfant, who is just a guy trying to make a career leap from plumber to marine biologist. Alan has his own bag of troubles - loan sharks, dopey yuppy brother and a persistant suitor, who just doesn't give up. A really fun movie.』
('Wonderland' is wonderful, misleading cover box packaging aside) 『11 years on, this movie is mostly of interest because of the small role played by Philip Seymour Hoffman. As usual, he turns a bit part into something much, much more.
But beyond that historical artifact, 'Wonderland' is wonderful. It's well-written, well-acted and downright, laugh-out-loud funny in many spots, but not in a slapstick way. The movie has added thrills for a native Bostonian like me. While it's not steeped in 'Boston-alia' like The Departed (Widescreen Edition) or Mystic River (Widescreen Edition), it has some delightful hooks, like the use of the T's Blue Line (from which it derives its neat movie title), the New England Aquarium (site of many school trips in my youth) and the Wonderland race track ("And there goes Swifty!").
My only gripe: the coverbox. It has nothing to do with the movie itself. Hope Davis is pictured smiling impishly in a revealing, skimpy dress. As viewers of the movie know, Ms. Davis' character doesn't crack a smile until the end, and she's in no mood to wear a dress like that. This isn't as bad as the cover art of such marketing inanities like the totally misleading packaging of The Star Maker and East Is East, but this is still another example of marketers trying to dress-up a movie into something that its not. I bet Hope Davis scratched her head and threw a fit when she saw how the movie was being marketed. It's an affront to the character she developed.』
(City of Hope) 『Writer/director Brad Anderson's intelligent and easygoing fable about love and serendipity made me a Hope Davis fan for life. Davis plays a laid back Bostonian who finds her love life set adrift after her pompous environmental activist boyfriend (Philip Seymour Hoffman) suddenly decides that dashing off to save the earth is more important than sustaining their relationship. Her story is paralleled with that of a charming and unassuming single fellow (Alan Gelfant) who aspires to become a marine biologist. Both parties find themselves politely deferring to well-meaning friends and relatives who are constantly trying to fix them up with dates. I don't think it's a spoiler to tell you that these two are destined to end up together! The film seems to have been inspired by A Man and a Woman, right down to its breezy bossa nova/samba soundtrack.』

This particular double-feature DVD has a strong emphasis on sexploitation starlet Marsha Jordan as she stars in the main billing as well as being featured in two bonus shorts. Additionally, all the theatrical trailers feature movies of Marsha Jordan.
The first bonus short is called Marsha Jordan's Swingers' Party! For most of the short Ms Jordan and company are having a good time staring at a stripper doing her routine in the middle of the living room. Then they join the action. The second short is called Candid Nudistviews No. 3. The whole short consist of Marsha doing some window shopping then going back to her pool and stripping naked.
The six Marsha Jordan trailers are College Girls, The Daisy Chain, The Divorcee, Dr. Cartairs' 1869 Love-Root Elixir, Lady Godiva Rides, Marsha the Erotic Housewife, and Office Love-in! I've seen half of these movies. Not sure if the others have ever been released on DVD. The other specials are the same Harry Novak Exploitation Art/Photos that is on all the Novak SWV DVD's.
The thing I find funny about Harry Novak flicks is that they usually feature some type of farm[er] or cowboy type theme. And most of the scenes seem to be filmed from the same hill/desert/farm location somewhere in the San Fernando Valley area. The other common thread is plenty of naked chicks and these two flicks offer plenty.
Sweet Georgia stars Marsha Jordan and features a naked girl riding a horse in the opening scene along with Marsha getting arosed. The rest of the movie features more naked horse riding and Marsha getting arosed. Country Hooker stars Rene Bond along with supporting appearances by Maria Arnold, another frequent exploitation actress of the 70's. Rene Bond&a gal friend begin the scene by hitchhiking. They then hitchike into one steamy scene after another.
This Something Weird Video release of Harry Novak flicks follows along the same lines of offering pointless stories along with a plethora of naked chicks engaged in soft-core action. I started watching last week, and now I don't want to stop. I love it! I'm 19 and I watch kids shows, because I'm awesome! If you are new, I'll give you a brief synopsis; Zack and Cody Martin live with their mom at the Tipton hotel. Cody is the smart one. Zack is the one always making trouble. Mr. Moseby is the manager who must put up with their shenanigans. London is the dumb spoiled rich girl who is an heir to the hotel. Maddie is the hot blonde who works in the candy department and often helps with Zack, Cody, and London with their problems. I highly recommend THE SUITE LIFE OF ZACK AND CODY!!!』
(Not the best of the Suite Life!) 『I am a parent who watches the Suite Life of Zack and Cody with my daughter occasionally. I have seen enough episodes to know that these are not the best picks that Disney could have released on DVD.
The first episode has the boys at their youngest. The show is better in my opinion as the two boys get older. However, for a child, the battle of the bands idea is fun. London and Maddie are actually more intresting to watch in the earlier episodes, and it's always fun to see how London screws up even when she means well.
The second episode is when the boys run for class president. I liked the way Maddie and London get involved to help the boys. It was also nice to see Zack stand up for Cody at the end showing some family loyalty. I also liked the outrageous ideas that Zack and London came up with to get Zack elected. The pajama picture of Cody was a low blow but funny.
The last episode focuses on Maddie and London the most. Both girls throw sweet 16 parties for themselves on the same day. It forces the gang to pick which party to go to. As usual London over does it and makes a mess of things. The girls friendship gets strained, but ends up ok in the end.
Overall the episodes are just ok. I have seen better episodes on Disney channel. I also think Disney went cheap on this release. Three episodes is hardly worth the price of buying it. The extra features of the gag reel and Brenda Song doing the DVD game is ok. But personally I think Disney would have been better off putting a couple more episodes on the disc. After all thats why we really want to buy the DVD in the first place. Episodes that would have been better to add are the ones where the boys let the bugs loose in the tipton, or when Maddie and London have the fake baby for the weekend. Those stand out as funny episodes.
SO two stars is all I can give this release which skimped on the episodes and did'nt pick the best of the lot. If you really like Zack and Cody and want to get this release, try to by it online. Used and as cheap as possible. The taking over the Tipton release is better in my opinion and has more episodes.

The jokes are rarely funny and the show consists of shallowly-attractive celebrities who are rich somewhat spoiled and get their way nearly every time. None of them act that well, and London is the most spoiled, terrible actress that Disney has ever spat out at us. I totally despise her stupid, ditzy air-headed persona. It makes me sick, how stupid she has to act to get 10 year olds to laugh.
I didn't like the program when it first arrived on the Disney Channel over two and a half years ago, and I grew to loathe it, episode after episode after episode.
Watch Lizzy McGuire, Kim Possible, That's So Raven, or The Proud Family; they're much better, well-rounded Disney programs.

(Content Good, But Packaging Lacking) 『There aren't a lot of television shows available on UMD, so it was nice to see Family Guy in that format. As for the show itself, some of the early episodes are uneven as the show tried to "find itself." However, this set does contain "I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar" which is a personal favorite and a show that I think better reflects the later tone of the series -- sexist, juvenile, loaded with pop culture references, semi-offensive...and very funny.
I found two problems with the UMD version. First, the UMDs come in a cardboard and foam tri-fold "case" which doesn't hold the disks very well and isn't at all sturdy. Even with careful use and storage, the edges of the cover will soon get damaged and the discs will come loose.
Second, and probably more importantly, there is no list of episodes anywhere in or on the packaging. You are left to guess (or memorize, I suppose) which of the five UMDs the episode you are searching for is located on. Or else you can insert the UMDs one at a time and wait for the menus to load. Either way, it isn't helpful and I don't know why they didn't include a card insert with a list of the episodes on each disc.』

In most cases this is misleading because the actual pieces of the puzzle in most cases are made of what seems to be some wood composite that is glued together with who knows what substances. This can be especially bothersome with younger children that may mouth the pieces. In some cases the puzzle pieces are only partially painted (to save money?) leaving the underlying composite revealed and in my experience also shedding.
Being a mom that prides herself on making safety and quality a top priority when purchasing toys for my child, I was especially disappointed with this product. It is a poor quality cheaply constructed toy. The blocks themselves are some king of composite which is covered with 6 different stickers that can be pealed off. The only part of the puzzle that is wood as far as I could tell is the wooden crate that houses the blocks.
As for the educational value of this toy, while it is a challenging puzzle with engaging pictures, it is a very difficult puzzle for toddlers to do on their own. We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old and while I admit that he enjoyed watching us put the puzzle together, the difficulty level is far to high for 2 year olds (and possibly for 3 year olds too). Since their are 16 blocks with 6 sides each with a different picture, their is a very wide range of possibilities and it can be very confusing and frustrating for a younger child and probably an older child as well. Adding to the difficulty is the fact that the completed pictures are shown in a very small format on the back of the the wooden crate that houses the blocks. So you need to either remember each picture perfectly or look at these small pictures in order to put the puzzle together.
I recently returned this puzzle and have purchased a wood block puzzle by Selecta. This is a high quality product made in Germany of all natural wood. They have 4 and 6 piece block puzzles making the difficulty level more appropriate for younger children.』

The frame is hopelessly bent, yes, but has proven surprisingly sturdy considering the abuse it's taken. Recommended, but be sure to note the dimensions; the size of the thing becomes more annoying over time - especially when dumped on the floor in two separate pieces!』

A lot of the information is all about planting and establishing an orchard leaving little real estate to actually talk about making cider. It was a little disapointing to me because I was expecting it to be the cider equivalent of Home Cheese Making: Recipes for 75 Delicious Cheeses or Charcuterie: The Craft of Salting, Smoking, and Curing, which talk about how to make these products in an artisanal fashion but not about the raising of the animals.
The bottom line is this, if you're interested in opening your own orchard and going through the whole process from seed to bottle this could be valuable. However, if you're only interested in cidermaking you will find that a lot of the book is dedicated to growing apple trees and not specifically to making great cider.』
(Badly represented and completely out of scale for homebrewing) 『If this were advertised as a book on "how to establish a Cidery" which happened to have info useful to the homebrewer I would have cut it a lot more slack, but as advertised it's deeply disappointing. While I did enjoy the level of detail regarding some aspects of brewing such as the importance of acidity, the 50 page "how to start your own orchard" section was a complete waste of time, as were the neurotically detailed breakdowns of common apple types by region. Anyone looking to start an entire orchard should perhaps be pointed at another more thorough text so that that 50 pages could be reclaimed for, oh, I dunno, brewing? It's pretty badly organized considering it's a third edition, and furthermore it's highly repetitive.
Any brew text that chooses to devote multiple chapters lovingly detailing (and in some cases diagramming) the multitudinous types of equipment used to reduce apples to juice and then repeatedly recommends MOUTH STARTING a siphon for bottling has its head screwed on the wrong way. Fermenting methodologies listed are limited to wild open fermentation or sulfiting the living daylights out of things, and the idea that one might use different yeasts is barely acknowledged.
The only thing to be said for adding this book to your library is its section on "beyond cider" which included a discussion of vinegar, canning, cooking with cider and (perhaps most interestingly) distilling Apple Jack and Apple Brandy. Though he can't read the full recipes yet, he loves going through the box and alphabetizing the letters, and is keeping track of which recipes we make and which we have yet to make. We've probably made about half of them so far, and there hasn't been a dud in the bunch. It's probably worth it just for Nifty Asian Noodles, which has become a standard lunch and dinner in our household (we double it). The Whole Wheat Pretzels are also a huge hit. We've just had a great time making these recipes together, and it's nice that they're not all cookies (we had done quite a bit of cookie baking together up until this point, and it's nice to make some savory recipes with him too). He also loves the stickers that are included to stick onto the recipes after you make them.
I'm buying several of these to give as Christmas and birthday gifts. These are just the thing to have in your gift closet, if you're geeky and organized like me and have such a thing.』
(Great idea - great food!) 『This recipe box is incredible. I purchased it for my 6yr old for her birthday along with an apron and kid oven mits. We have only done 5 recipes so far but all of them are very good, pretty healthy and most of all - fun and easy for kids. My daughter begs at least 3-4x a week to make a new recipe and hasn't let up. The premade recipe cards aren't laminated but they are made of wipable material similar to board books which is nice. There is one for each letter of the alphabet and they act as the divider for each letter once you add additional recipes. She can read them herself and does about 90% of the recipe on her own. They are not too simple or basic like sandwiches or chocolate chip cookies but aren't anything extensive and time consuming either. There are appetizers, breakfast lunch and dinner items and of course desserts! Some examples are: vegetable soup, lemon hummus dip, blueberry cobbler, cheese fondue in a bread bowl, whole wheat baked soft pretzels, honey cookies, zucchini sticks, "surprise" muffins, johnny cakes, cheesy mac and cheese etc... The extra cards (26 of them) are made of thick stock paper. Once we start adding recipes onto them, I will laminate them myself so they survive longer. Even though I love the idea of adding your own recipes, I truly hope there is an option in the future to add more premade recipes. The cards each have fun facts, variations of the recipe and cute pictures. This is available at in store at Pottery Barn Kids. Great birthday present to give to kids ages 5-10. Highly recommend!』

Every time a conflict was resolved and I wondered how she'd fill the rest of the pages, either of the main characters stumbled and I realized the conflict really hadn't been resolved at all. It was lurking in the background waiting for the right moment. The book has many `right moments'. Some I saw coming. Some I didn't.
Jesse's story is the conclusion to the Bakery Sisters trilogy. Jesse and Matt broke up over a series of events involving miscommunication, bad judgment and most of all mistrust. Jesse tried to tell Matt she was pregnant but because of what someone told him, Matt spurned her. Disillusioned, she left. Five yrs after walking away from her fraternal twin sisters as well as Matt, Jesse is back because her four year old son wants to meet his daddy. Not only does she have to smooth things over with Matt, she has to prove to the sister who raised her that she's a responsible adult worthy of her trust and nothing like the `living on the edge' teenager who bucked authority at every turn.
Matt has led a fulfilling life ever since Jesse left but really, he's been in limbo and only going through the motions. Jesse hurt him. Badly. He's scarred but it won't take much to re-open the wound. He didn't believe Jesse carried his child when she left but now he's faced with the proof. There's no question Gabe is Matt's son and now Matt wants to hurt Jesse for robbing him of those precious first years of Gabe's life.
***Spoiler Alert*** The only problem I have with this novel is that Jesse never admits she displayed bad judgment when she let her sister's husband remove the clothes from the top of her body. Although I could empathize with Jesse for everything else, this stopped me from fully embracing her character. All I wanted was her to admit--just once--to her sister or to Matt that she allowed the incident to happen but stopped it before anything else happened. Instead, she put the blame fully on her sister's husband. Yes, he instigated it, but Jesse didn't protest until placed in a compromising situation. This one `flaw' showed she wasn't as grown up as she proclaimed. ***End of Spoiler***
Overall, it was a very enjoyable read...even when it made me cry...several times, in fact.
As for reading it on the eReader, I loved it. So convenient.
(Couldn't stand the characters) 『I'll admit that I haven't read the other books in the series, so I might have been missing out on some of this story. But maybe not, because the reason I didn't like this story is that I found the characters so unlikeable.
The heroine wasn't too bad, but really, who ends up in bed with their sister's man? Even if, like she claims, "nothing happened", why would you be in that situation if things are totally innocent? And yes, kissing is cheating--you don't have to actually have sex with someone for it to "count".
And the hero! I hardly know where to start with him. He is unjustifiably angry at the heroine, and his reasons didn't hold water. He claimed that she should have let him know she was having his kid. Umm...hello? She did! She told him she was pregnant, she told him it was his, she even offered to submit to a DNA test to prove it, but he would have none of it. He refused to even consider the posibility that it was his child. What was she supposed to do, hold a gun to his head and force him to be a part of his son's life?
The hero decides he's been done wrong (although how he gets there I'll never understand), and decides to get revenge on the hero by destroying her life and suing for custody. When his lawyer tells him that such action means he might end up having to take care of the kid, he replies that "that's what nannies and boarding schools are for." What a heartless pig! Children are not meant to be used as pawns in adult power struggles. Ripping an innocent child away from a loving mother (and the only parent he's ever known) and them abandoning him to be raised by strangers just to satisfy a petty need for revenge is just plain wrong!
I couldn't stand the hero's "poor pity me" attitude. He's the one who refused to take responsibility for his child. He made his own mess. This is not the way a hero is supposed to act. I spent the whole book wanting to punch him in the nose.
I've enjoyed books by Susan Mallery before, but I recommend skipping this one.』

(Sweet Trouble) 『Jesse Keyes has always been the sister to get in to trouble. It's not always her fault, but no one sees it that way. When Jesse finds out that she's pregnant, her sister Nicole assumes the worst, her boyfriend does to. Matt shoves her out of his life cruelly and her sister hates her, so Jesse decides to make a fresh start somewhere else. It's a struggle, but she manages. Five years later, Jesse and her four-year old son Gabriel, come back to Seattle because Gabe wants to meet his daddy. Matt wants nothing to do with Jesse, until he sees a way to make her pay for breaking his heart. He wasn't expecting to feel something other than hatred for her though. All Jesse wants is to reconcile with her sister and start over with Matt. What she ends up with, is a lot of heartache.
I read the Bakery Sisters novels one after the other. By the time I got to Sweet Trouble I was dying to read Jesse's story! I have to admit, Jesse was not my favorite person at that point, but after reading Sweet Trouble I wanted to throw my arms around her. Susan Mallery had her work cut out for her. I was hard pressed to accept Jesse's point of view. She did it though. Sweet Trouble is a heartfelt and emotional story. Matt and Jesse's feelings are vividly depicted and tangible. You can feel their inner turmoil. Their story is angst-filled, romantic, sensual, and intense. Claire is the innocent and shy sister. Nicole is the strong, capable one, and Jesse is the troublemaker. The tension and drama built more with every book until Sweet Trouble's dramatic conclusion. Sweet Trouble is wonderful, as is each book in the Bakery Sister's series. I highly recommend reading them in order. It makes them that much better!
