(Such a great time for me and my baby)

(Excelent for on road trips)

(very fun)

(Michael's and Mommy "Mommy and Me")

(If your little one loves to sing&dance - this is a great choice!)
I have a daughter who is 1 1/2 and she and I just love this video. She'd be happy to watch it over and over again and sings so many of the songs with it, even if I am not singing them with her. It's a really great way to get Mommy and kids to stop and spend time together. Is another one coming out?
My 2 year old LOVES iit!! And now when we have to go on long trips (more thant 45 min) I just bring it with me and I don't have to sing and sing.
toddler loves this one and the first one too. actually used as a comfort tool to encourage a stay at the babysitters.
My son is 20 months old and he absolutely loves this video. We were given the video in a diaper bag at the hospital on the day that we left following Michael's birth. However, we never took anything out of the bag until he was about 15 months old. Every since then, Michael has become obsessed with the movie. He watches it three to five times every day. I enjoy watching the video and singing along with him. Michael watched the DVD so much that he wore it out. I had to purchase another one for him. I highly recommend this DVD to other parents. I hope that you all enjoy the movie and time together as much as we do.
I'm the mommy of twin 19 month old boys and they enjoy the Mommy&Me Playgroup Favorites DVDs. They don't really like tv which isn't the result of anything I've done or not done, they're just always moving and won't stay still long enough to notice most things on tv. However, they love to dance along with the songs on this DVD.

I spent a small fortune on 8 Baby Einstein DVDs and have been trying repeatedly for the past 14 months to get the boys interested in them. They could care less about those but they fell instantly in love with the Baby Genius Nursery Rhymes DVD the first time I put it in (they were 13 months old at the time)Baby Genius Favorite Nursery Rhymes w/bonus Music CD They love all 3 of the Baby Genius "song" DVDs but there's only so many times I can listen to the same songs so I searched for some other good DVDs with songs.

As an adult I find the visuals of this DVD cheesy but my boys love the overdone happy faces and exaggerated movements of the parents&kids. They love to dance around with the songs and try to copy the dance movements that go with each song.

If your little one loves to dance and sing this DVD is a good choice at a great price!

(This DVD may have value later...or at least with the kids who grew up on it)

(Baby loves it)

(Could triple the price if....)

(Good manners can be fun!)

(2 Years)
My kids have always loved barney. They have learned so much from him. But this DVD has actually been a huge hit with my 5yr old and my 3yr old because they have noticed that Selena Gomez is in it. She is much younger of course but now she is in "wizards of Waverly place" and they love being able to see her younger. Plus I love the reference to Alice in Wonderland.
Good for baby so that's all that matters. Enough said on how I feel about it.
only there was a song about listening to Mom and Dad. Otherwise, this video is everything the other reviews state: catchy songs and great messages. The day my 2 1/2 year old watched it, she started applying what she learned, it was a beautiful thing.
My 2 1/2 year old daughter LOVES this DVD! She's an afficianado of Barney, but this is by far her favorite to date. She knows all of the songs and loves to use her good manners just like Barney does. It's a wonderful compliment to parents who are teaching "please" and "thank you".
I can honestly not give it a rate at this time (I guess I have too)
my daughter is only 2 years old and she just
started to be a little afraid of person with Mask.
And there is a part in the movie where the children
are dressed up with mask, and she asks me
to take it off.
But keep in mind BARNEY in general is a
very educational and entertaining movie for the kids.

Movie DVD
Learning about etiquette can be fun, especially with the help of Barney and his friend Miss Vera Goode's "Book of Manners for Children." This 48-minute, never-televised program shows young children how to cooperate, share, use the magic words "please and thank you," and generally exemplify good manners. Barney and his five young friends experience the topsy-turvy tea fromAlice in Wonderlandfirsthand, then practice their manners and get dressed up for a celebratory party at Vera Goode's mansion. Song and dance abounds as Barney and his crew discovers that practicing good manners can be unexpectedly fun. Barney features a somewhat improved singing voice in this production thanks to voicing by Dean Wendt and is joined by Vera Goode (voiced by Gretta Muller) in several musical duets. customer 's review
(Vietnam;The Early Days)

(Go Tell The Spartans this movie is garbage.)

(A Grunt's Eye View)

(This is THE Viet Nam movie)

("I did the one thing I was trained to do: I saluted!")
GO TELL THE SPARTANS is a film that makes clear much of the thought and rationale for our involvement in Vietnam. Lean, stripped down, almost documentary in structure and form it tells the story of early advisers and a small bloody battle that was an indicator for what was to come.
Burt Lancaster and Marc Singer deliver first rate performances and the small cast of mainly unknown and character actors only lend to the realism. A must have film for anyone interested in the history of the Vietnam War and in gaining a clearer perspective of our entanglements there.

I shouldn't have to go any further than Marc Singer and Craig Wasson, that ought to tell you something right there.

WORST Vietnam movie ever made. Period. I dont know what these morons with 4/5 star reviews are smoking. This thing is horrible, and made worse by one of Hollywood's most revered actors, Burt Lancaster, using language and saying things that are waaaaay out of character and that you have never heard him say before. Not to mention he's far to old for the role as a field commander at age 65!!!!!

This movie is bad, there is no way you can pretty it up and wrap roses around it, its acrap production. 2 bullets, and I'm being kind.

This is an exceptionally good movie on the absurdity of the Military trying to fulfill a mission, but unfortunately the politicians, bureaucrats, and "Career Soldiers" [not Professional Soldiers]ran the show from 8,000 miles away in Washington D.C. This happens more than people will believe; that local commanders are not free to use their initiative to carry out the missions. Civilians should give the military a mission, then get the hell out of the way. This was especially true in Vietnam under L.B.J. and Mr. McNamara, who literally ran the war out of the Oval Office daily on an hourly basis. The absurdity of the war can be shown with the Easter Offensive and Linebacker-2, in 1972 when President Nixon declared ALL of North Vietnam a target. To get the North back to the peace talks from their new Offensive against South Vietnam, he sent wave after wave of B-52's North dropping bombs which brought the North to the edge of total collapse. This could have been done in 1966, and think of all of the lives on both sides that could have been spared. Instead, they were busy "sending messages" about what America could do, but was 'beneficent' in holding back.
This movie is based on a true story, but not one likely to go down in the annals of greatness of the US Army. And it was absolutely an omen of how things would go in that war. We could not win in the manner in which the war was fought.
The movie also shows the camaraderie, and the willingness of the soldiers to carry out the mission, regardless of how hopeless-take it from a Scout with the 1St Cavalry Division who knows.
One of the two best movies on Vietnam, the other being, "A Rumor of War."

Those of us who live through this mess look upon this movie as the movie that shows the stupidty of war and of governments who put men in harm's way. There are showier movies about Viet Nam, one in particular, that people point to when someone wants a war movie, but none are as soul baring as this one. I won't go into the plot because that is not important. Just rent it or buy it and see for yourself. Then ask yourself this question how did this movie get made when it did? I still can see the ending shot. It is one of the most haunting and sad commentary on war in movie history.
If you can get by the whole idea that the military advisors as portrayed in "Go Tell the Spartans" don't have whitewall haircuts and the fact that the film isn't a big-budget recreation of combat in the Ia Drang valley, then you might be able to take "Go Tell the Spartans" for what it is: A film that attempts to shed some light on the sort of activities that were taking place in South Vietnam two years prior to the first deployment of combat troops, a US Marine battalion landing team in 1965.

I liked "Go Tell the Spartans" because I thought it was unpretentious. In some ways, the film is flawed, but no more flawed than "The Green Berets," a John Wayne vehicle that was filmed on location at Fort Benning, Georgia, and looks it. (If you look closely, you can actually see the Chatahoochee River at one point. Talk about flawed: Unbelievably, the film ends with John Wayne hiking up a little kid to his arm and walking into the sunset over the South China Sea - to the east.)

Then there's the other direction, as in "Apocalypse Now," with the Do Long Bridge sequence. That whole thing was unreal. A bridge lit up at night in the middle of a combat zone with grunts running around here and there, for no apparent purpose. Ridiculous.

I'm not going to go into a synopsis of "Go Tell the Spartans", which you can read about in the other reviews. I will say that I liked the character that Burt Lancaster portrayed, and could understand the others.

I will also say that the production crew did get a lot of the equipment right. The Nungs were using M-1's and carbines, not M-16's. The helicopters were Sikorskys, not Hueys.

There are only three noteworthy characters:

The character 2LT Hamilton was basically a gimmick thrown into the story. His purpose is only to show the naivette of all American citizens - not necessarily service members - with regard to the culture of war existing in Vietnam at that time. A green kid, fresh out of college and ROTC or maybe OCS, Hamilton lacks the cynicism that will allow him to stay alive. He is preoccupied with fighting and concluding World War II and fails to recognize the concept of asymetrical warfare when confronted with it.

The character CPL Courcey (Wasson) is the "Everyman" character who ultimately survives. He too is a college grad, but unlike Hamilton, is a draftee. Like Hamilton, he has some of the same "Give `em the benefit of the doubt" attitudes, but is not as steadfast in his opinion of his surroundings.

The character MAJ Barker (Lancaster): He's old brown boot army. Even though he wasn't with Pershing in Mexico, he probably talked to old hands who were. He's old, he's tired, and he should have been put out to pasture a long time ago. The worst part is that he understands he's reached a dead end.

The ending of the story should come as no surprise to anyone who watches the film closely and pays attention. When First Sergeant Oleonowski (Goldsmith) kills himself, that's the albatross sighting. As the situation deteriorates further, Hamilton is killed, the majority of the advisory team leaves, and then finally, only Courcey and Barker are left.

In the end, Coucey does not walk away into the sunset and talk about freedom and winning the hearts and minds. He doesn't even talk about being the meanest SOB in the valley or about letting the gooks play the indians.

Instead, as if he were in some weird episode of the Twilight Zone, Courcey realizes that he's reached a dead end.

If nothing else, "Go tell the Spartans" is good food for thought. Although it wasn't something I'd want to watch again and again, I'd recommend it to anyone who has a general interest in cinema that relates to the Vietnam era.

Burt Lancaster delivers one of the finest performances of his career as a hard-boiled major in command of a Vietnam outpost. A classic of wartime confrontation.

Why Sample Color. Benjamin Moore Color Samples allow you to try on a color before you commit to the time and expense of painting an entire room. By sampling a color at home, you will get the most accurate sense of how the color will actually look in the room. Each 2 oz. sample covers approximately a 2 X 2 area with two coats of paint. You can test a number of different colors at a time. You can also paint smaller test swatches on several walls to see how a particular color will look throughout a room.

Brass Double Switchplate Cover with Roses - Sweet Chic

The Brass Switchplates that I order were in very good shape. However, I was a little surprise on the shipping time frame and the price. Therefore, I dicussed both issues with the seller, Greg. He later refund me $60.00 credit. The total of my order was 122.00, however, I found the same product for much, much cheaper at Home Depot. So, I thank the seller for reducing the price, but I still feel like I got cheated because the price was so high. Oh well, I will keep the order and rate the seller a 3 star.

Gorgeous new brass Double swithplate cover for your home. This elegant cover has roses and lots of ornate details. This is a cast metal switch plate with an antique brass finish. (Sweet and entertaining)

(Best purchase for my granddaughter)

(It might drive you crazy but .....)

(Great dvd!)

(Disney Singing Fun!)
My 3-yr old loves this. We just got into princesses and she is very entertained by this disney video. I will definately look into further volumes, as some of the movies with the princess are actually kind of scary for her...so this is the best of all worlds, songs and princesses.
She absolutely loved this DVD. It was worth every penny to see the look on her face on her birthday when she opened it. She wanted to stop opening presents and go watch her movie.
it's worth it to see your daughter dancing and singing along. I rented it at the library to see if my daughter (3 years old) would enjoy it. She LOVED it! That's why I gave it 5 stars. It wasn't the best copy, kept skipping so I broke down and bought it. And, moms&dads it will drive you a little nuts but it's better then the Disney movies I think. Anyways... check it out at the library and go from there. Good luck.
My daughter is almost three and really enjoys this video! Like others have mentioned, you don't have to worry about forwarding through the "scary" parts. It is just good clean fun for kids to hear the music and sing and dance along. I highly recommend it!
Purchased and/or received this video for my 2 yr old. She just loves it. The songs are fun to dance and sing along with. Its fun for those that enjoy music and the Disney Princess.'

(Pure Disney Magic!)

(A fun feel-good movie)

(kerrilee hall)

(Gnomemobile)

(the gnome mobile)
Lumber mogul D.J. Mulrooney's plans for a relaxing outing with his grandkids turn into a wacky adventure when little Elizabeth discovers a lonely gnome in the forest. Jasper the gnome and his grandfather, Knobby, fear they are the last of their kind, and this just won't do, as Jasper desperately needs to find a mate. And so, the Mulrooney's set out on a mission to help the little people, portrayed much like 2 foot hillbillies, find more of their kind among their grandfather's vast land of redwoods. Along the way however, they'll have to deal with a sneaky freakshow owner and the folks at the "crazy house" who are set to assign D.J. to a rubber room under the orders of his own employees. After all, there's no such thing as gnomes, right? It's a fun, energetic, musical road trip, heavy on the '60's Disney flair and starring "the Mary Poppins kids", Matthew Garber and Karen Dotrice, and Walter Brennan in a dual role! We also get the always delightful Ed Wynn in his final role as a gnome with a big surprise for Jasper and Knobby and one of the most exhilarating sequences in Disney history!

"The Gnome Mobile" is fondly remembered by a great many people who were lucky enough to grow up with Disney live-action as well as the more popular animated features. The Disney Channel showed this one quite often, and it was so enjoyable that you could watch it again and again. Leave it to Disney to make an era like the '60's actually look appealing. Directed by Disney legend Robert Stevenson, "The Gnome Mobile" may not be the masterpiece "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" is, but it is definitely a wonderful Disney comedy in its own right, full of color, magic, and charm. The DVD is without extras and presented in fullscreen, but don't let that stop you. This one should be in everyone's collection! I'd make some other recommendations here, but basically, if it's Disney and was made during the '60's, you should get it. Heck, if it's Disney and was made before the Disney Channel went tween, you should get it. However, I'll make some more specific and kinda relevant recommendations anyway: Mary Poppins, Darby O'Gill and the Little People, The Shaggy Dog, The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin, The Happiest Millionaire, The Parent Trap, That Darn Cat, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, The Misadventures of Merlin Jones, the Monkey's Uncle, Now You See Him, Now You Don't, The Ugly Dachshund, The Strongest Man in the World, the Love Bug, Blackbeard's Ghost, and those are just a start. There's LOTS more fun to be had with Disney live-action!

This is a fun, feel-good movie that even my he-man husband enjoyed. Grandpa takes the grandkids to visit the forest of redwoods that he owns and the granddaughter stumbles on a pair of gnomes. The humans end up helping the gnomes prevent their extinction but, of course, they all have to go through the adventures to get to that point.
My mother was looking for this movie around St Pattys day she watched it when she was younger and wanted to see it again and Amazozn had it. It arrived in great time and she said it was in mint condition
The service on this order was amazing. We ordered it and two days later we had it. I've never had as quick a response. It was gratifying and appreciated.
It took me back to my childhood. It is a good movie for my family. Thank you again for the quick service of sending this movie out
The GNOME-MOBILE is a delightful Disney fantasy about two children and their uncle who stumble on a pair of gnomes in the forest. The film centers around their effort to protect the "little people" from a freak show entrepreneur and a group of unscrupulous land developers. This task becomes even more difficult when the uncle is thrown into a mental institution because he is seeing the gnomes!

(Best movie in the world!!!!)

(Robert Downey love story)

(Fun, Flirtatious&Romantic)

(Only U)

(Must See Romance!)
This is my most favorite movie ever!!!!! Love the Italian landscapes, gorgeous, love Marisa Tomeil and Robert Downey junior, love the story. I've always been such a believer in fate. This movie gives you another twist. But it's nice and funny. Great!
Marisa is hung up on something told to her during her childhood and can't let go of it even when the right guy is right in front of her.
A Great movie for the true romantic! The characters are so well cast&Marisa Tormei and Robert Downey Jr are absolutely adorable!! I just love the story-line! It's fun and makes you feel like falling in love again!
This movie is by far one of my favorites not matter when it was filmed. I definitely recommend this one.
If you haven't seen this movie, you absolutely have to! I could never find it at stores locally and was dying to replace the VHS I got rid of. This is Robert Downey Jr. at his most charming. It's a beautiful combination of Italy and Romance! I don't know what else to say because the movie speaks for itself. Just buy it, you won't regret it. Long Live Love!!!
FAITH IS LOOKING FOR A SOULMATE WHOSE NAME SHE GOT FROM A OUIJA BOARD. INSTEAD SHE MEETS PETER, WHO IS INSTANTLY SMITTEN WITH HER. FROM THE ADRIATIC TO THE AMALFI COAST, HER PURSUIT BECOMES A ROMANTIC ADVENTURE IN THE MOST UNCHARTED TERRITORY OF ALL, TRUE LOVE.
While director Norman Jewison'sMoonstruckis a romantic cornerstone, this 1994 film is often overlooked. It's a sweet valentine about a young woman, aptly named Faith (Marisa Tomei, never cuter), who chases an unknown man to Europe because the name "Damon Bradley" was once spelled on an Ouija board as her true love. With her sister-in-law (Bonnie Hunt, whose own marriage seems to be falling apart), she travels the streets of Rome looking for Damon Bradley.

And lo and behold, she literally runs into a man claiming to be Damon. Is this meant to be? Faith certainly thinks so. Robert Downey Jr. (also never cuter) plays Damon in a role that showcases his charms. He shows his quick wit in handing Faith's advances and his absolute devotion to her when the winds change. Despite the cuteness factor, this is a movie to fall in love with. Jewison and Sven Nykvist (Ingmar Bergman's cameraman) present a sun-kissed Italy so beautiful, you might be tempted to hop a plane immediately after viewing the movie.--Doug Thomas

(Been looking for this for 5+ years!)

(At this price)

(Cute but poorly built)

(Useful&Attractive)

(Great product, but doesn't last)
Finally, after we gave birth to our third daughter, I have found the perfect diaper caddy! I truthfully have been looking for one since I was pregnant with our first over 5 years ago.

Those that complain that the drawer sticks - yes, it does stick a bit, but it's minor. I love having the perfect caddy for diapers, wipes, gloves, ointment, etc.

We have two girls in diapers and I love the flexibility of being able to change diapers wherever we are instead of having to trek to a changing table.

I also like the aesthetics of this caddy. I purchased the green, and it is a nice, neutral sage green.

I plan on purchasing another to give as a gift to a pregnant friend. Great product.

I read all the reviews and decided to spend the same amount of money on a nice looking basket. Why do I need a "system" for carrying a few diaper things around? A good-looking basket won't look like a baby accessory later when I want to use it for something else.
I love the way this diaper caddy looks but when I purchased it I planned on using it, not just looking at it. The drawer is stiff to pull in and out and eventually after a couple months use the whole frame began to break down due to the friction. I've had to tape it and now with a 10 month old, that tape is considered something to be picked off and played with.

If you plan on NOT using the drawer I would recommend it because I like the open box areas for storing diapers and powder and such.

I've got two babies in diapers, so I bought this to set up a changing station in the living room. It's great because it looks nice, but holds everything I need - an opening for lots of diapers, a shelf for a box of wipes, and a drawer for cremes and such. It's solid and is easy to tote to the other rooms if the kids are playing elsewhere. Definitely a good buy!
I bought this for my second baby and thought it had a great design to it, but wasn't sturdy enough. After about 9 months, the half of the "box" with the drawer (that I RARELY used) simply started coming apart. It IS after all, made of cardboard and glue. This product ought to be made with better materials so that it lasts throughout the diaper years (2-3 years, not 9 months). Therefore, it's simply not worth its cost.
With the diapers&wipes caddy parents can keep all the necessary changing supplies in one easy-to-access place. Simply grab and change.

  • Room for diapers, wipes case and lotion
  • Coordinating changing pad included
  • Drawer for cotton balls, balms and other small items
  • Stylish colors and fabrics coordinate with any nurser
  • Protective rubber feet

(Great Tasting Lollipops)

(the best lollipops!)

(These little suckers rock!)

(Suprisingly Wonderful)

(Truly Delicious)
My kids love the flavors of these lollipops, and I can feel better about giving them candy since they do not have artifical flavors and dyes.
Organic or not, these are the best tasting lollipops we've ever had. The flavors are real and there's no fake after-taste. These smaller containers are a little more manageable than the larger (but the lollipops are gone quicker ;-)!
I was really impressed, these suckers are so healthy that I just knew that they would not be good. I reluctantly tried one, I really love them! They don't taste like they could be healthy at all. When you want to change your lifestyle and eat a little better you just expect the food and snacks to have an unpleasant taste or aftertaste. They were so good I stole some from my daughter :)They are certified organic, gluten free, soy-free, 100% vegan, soy free, nut- free, dairy free, wheat free, no chemical dyes, GMO-free, 100% natural colors and flavors with real fruit extracts. They are full of flavors and don't change the color of your tongue ;0
Do not equate organic with horrible. These taste great and my children ask for them. You should buy.
I bought these for my son who's lollipop-obsessed at the moment, and we thought he should at least be eating organic natural-flavored pops. I'm not even a candy person and these are delicious. He's thrilled.
Includes: Razzmatazz Berry, Orange Squeeze, Wet-Face Watermelon, Cheeky Lemon, and Pomegranate Pucker. USDA organic. YummyEarth was born out of our commitment to feed our babies, Jonah and Rose, a diet rich in delicious organic foods that are free of yuck

My kids LOVE their 'Elmo crackers'...I do too! They taste like Ritz crackers, but are a much healthier choice. Their small size makes them perfect for toddler fingers. Thanks to Earth's Best for creating healthier alternatives for our hungry kids!
My daughter is 1 and I prefer to give her healthy organic snacks. I had already been giving her Earth's Best baby food and this was a natural next choice. I taste everything i feed her, and these are really tasty little crackers. I would say they are as good as a ritz, without the yuck factor!

(exactly what I needed)
I used the boa as part of a cat costume -- it became the tail on a cat costume for my 7yo daughter. It's exactly what I needed. I folded it in half to make the "tail" more fluffy. Some of the feathers came out when my daughter was on stage, but that is to be expected. Excellent product and shipped very quickly without having to choose 2-day shipping. Great job!

(Perfect)

(Not the same quality)

(Adorable)

(love these puzzles)

(Excellent)
I adore anything by melissa and doug, and they were delivered very fast and in great condition!, these are definitly a must have for every child.
I tried to edit the number of stars I had originally given this product. I had ordered previously the "Farm" chunky puzzle... I loved it. Each piece was hand painted, completely, and has exceptional quality. SO, for Christmas I ordered her 3 more... BUT, they aren't made the same. These puzzles (Sea Life, Safari, and Pets) are NOT painted. They simply have stickers slapped on the front. The sides and underneath are completely unfinished. As a result, after my toddler playing with them for only 6 weeks, they are starting to peel apart. The first PAINTED puzzle is 2 years old, and still in GREAT shape. I am really disappointed that these 3 were made so much more cheaply.
I just bought this for my[...] nephew and he loves it. The big pieces are great for little hands.
These wood puzzles from Melissa&Doug are great. The starfish on this one is tricky to put in however. Still a good buy.
My daughter loved this when she was two. The pieces are bright and durable. Excellent to help with shapes and vocabulary, though there aren't many pieces to talk about, I would buy it again. Melissa and Doug wood puzzles are such a great quality. A++++
Little ones can take the plunge with this colorful, chunky puzzle that's teeming with underwater creatures. The puzzle's thick wooden pieces all fit neatly into their spots on the colorful board, and they even stand up on their own for additional pretend play. Puzzle features full-color pictures beneath each piece. Measures 12"H x 11"W x 0.8"D.

(Way too much fun! Sturdy!)

(Bought PowerWing for my 11 year old son.)

(Razor Powerwing)

(2 months 2 powerwing, then refund)

(A lot of fun for the kids ages 6-10)
I bought this for my 6 year old daughter...she absolutely loves it! It was easy to get the hang of and she can buzz around anywhere. Unfortunately, her older brother and sister want to ride it just as much as she does. The frame is sturdy and well made, I believe this will be a favorite all summer long.
Easy to assemble. Definately one of my sons favorite rides and he has them all, three other Razor scooters, skateboards, bikes. Very well built, I would give this product an A+

Dave Roach

This is a great and durable scooter. It adds a spin to the traditional scooter. My 10 year old has been riding it ever since he got it, and many of his friends want one now. It's a lot of fun!
The frame where the feet are place breaks. It should be made out of iron in this area. My son is only 90lbs. Twice it broke in the same area with two different powerwings. Its fun while it last.
Another type of scooter that the kids really like. It lets them do circles and keep going without putting foot on the ground. It isn't like the adult model that generates real speed or lets you go uphill, but the kids really like it (neighbors come over a lot to use it too). The brake is useless, but it isn't needed either (you can't go that fast to need it).
Cruise through town with confidence with the Razor PowerWing Sweet Pea Scooter for girls, a sleek and stylish trick scooter that powers itself. The PowerWing sports a pair of rear caster wheels on a double-wing platform, along with a 125 mm front wheel with a patent-pending brake system. The rear caster wheels are what make the PowerWing tick, propelling the scooter with a simple twist of the feet. Thanks to the unique design, it's easy to steer the PowerWing around tight corners or perform kick-outs, side drifts, spin-outs, and other tricks. You'll be delighted with the maneuverability of the PowerWing, while your friends will be astounded at its virtually unlimited trick potential. Other details include a sturdy steel frame, loop-out stoppers for better control.

(Great price)

(Great Bike Trailer)

(Great Deal, Great Price)

(Very cheap materials)

(For the Grandkids)
We love our trailer but the only thing is, make sure you are athletic and in shape before you purchase it. My husband has to attach it to his bike b/c I get too tired to trail the 2 kids around in it (they are about 30lbs each). I have to say that it is really roomy and lots of fun for the kids! It attaches to the bike easily and is easy to assemble, etc.
I bought this trailer to carry luggage, not children, and it has worked out great! I went to Martha's Vineyard for a weekend and was able to put my backpack and my wife's backpack plus food items and more in the trailer and it worked great!
I couldn't be happier with this product. It works perfectly for our little one, and can't imagine anyone spending the money on a name brand bike trailer when they could get this item for less than $100. I will say that the cloth seats and belts inside seem a little on the cheap side, but it works perfectly for neighborhood strolls. I would recommend this item to anyone on a budget who wants some quality outdoor bike time with their baby.
Though we were initially thrilled, we were not so happy when the first of the restraint straps broke within a few weeks of purchase. A few weeks later a second strap broke, rendering one side of the trailer unusable. Six months later, straps on the other side began fraying and snapping. Mind you, this was with infrequent use and with two children under the age of three--not really heavy or active kids. The trailer was kept outside in mild weather, covered and in the shade. Now (at just over a year of ownership) all of the straps have completely rotted apart and it is completely unsafe to put our kids in it. After reading through several of the other reviews, this is clearly a recurring issue.

Though we ultimately purchased the Instep Take 2 for less than $100 (on sale), I wouldn't buy this trailer again for half the price. I'm all for saving a buck where you can, but this is a *complete* waste of cash.

I have not used the trailer because of time constrains. It will be used this coming weekend.
The trailer is just what I wanted.
From placement of order to receiving the item, there were no glitches. I rated the overall service as 5 stars.
Look forward to my next purchase.

(Aunt for neice)

(The best book ever)

(Book of Interest)

(Empowering and informative)

(Loved it. Very inspirational.)
I bought this based on other reviews for my soon to be 8 year old neice. I read it and she is going to love it. Very excited to promote the old the idea of "girl power" because there is still gender bias in the classrooms and peer pressure.
This book was the best book I have read so far on my summer reading book list. It was very interesting to me. It is the best subject to write a book on. I had the best time reading it. I think that people could have more confidence to invent something after reading this book, even men.
This book allowed me to share stories of inventions by women with my students. Girls often feel left out of the "science of invention", this book allows them to relate to accomplishments in a field where girls often don't relate to the material presented.
This book goes a long way towards encouraging girls (and women!) to put their creative powers to practical use. It is so gratifying to learn that many everyday items (ice cream cones; Toll House cookies) were invented by women. And the items that are not so 'everyday' (Kevlar; space shields) have such a positive impact on the world around us. The illustrations are wonderfully creative, blending the fascinating details of the text into whimsical collages. Don't forget the sidebars - lots of fun facts there as well.
I first read the book with my daughter and then shared it with my Girl Scout troop. It was very inspirational and a joy to see some many innovations coming from women.
In kitchens and living rooms, in garages and labs and basements, even in converted chicken coops, women and girls have invented ingenious innovations that have made our lives simpler and better. Their creations are some of the most enduring (the windshield wiper) and best loved (the chocolate chip cookie). What inspired these women, and just how did they turn their ideas into realities?

(Review of "Murder of a Sweet Old Lady")

(SKYE NEEDS TO WORK ON STRENGTHENING HER BACKBONE...)

(Better than the original)

(Skeletons in the family closet)

(Absolutely Riveting)
This is the second in the Skye Denison series. Skye is a school psychologist in fictional Scumble River Illinois. Her grandmother dies and Skye, feeling that something isn't quite right, suspects murder. The book follows her efforts at uncovering the killer.

I thought this book was well written and suspenseful. It helps that author Denise Swanson herself worked as a school psychologist for 17 years. Swanson's real-life background in the field adds credibility to the story.

I found this book better than the one before (Murder of a Small-Town Honey), but Skye is so spineless at times that it is embarrassing. Come on, she didn't even struggle while being kidnapped by her "loved ones." It doesn't compute with her profession. That aside, the story is a fun quick read about her wacky killer family.
Mystery wise, it was pretty damn good. I wouldn't have figured out the culprit from clues alone, even if I didn't leave surprised. I enjoyed the multitude of red herrings used to throw me off track, all without any clear motives. The plot 'twist' was a decent one, again not guessed early on by yours truly. The story begins well with Skye encountering yet another difficult set of parents - this is a major theme for the book - and I especially loved the ending wrap-up with her and her mother. Too cute. The middle was fast-paced and attention-grabbing, making the book go fast in a hurry.

As before, this "cozy" mystery stayed warm and soothing, with violence implied and bloodshed nearly nonexistent. Characters worked well together, mixing up an interesting ensemble that propelled the story forward into a satisfying finale, even if her personal life was left an open book, obviously "to be continued."

Skye Denison enjoys her daily visits to her grandmother to hear stories of her family's history. On one of her visits she is horrified to find that her grandmother has died. She calls the local coronor, Simon, whom she is dating, much to the disgust of her family, who like to keep family business private. Soon she finds herself investigating her kin and alienating many of them in the process. If this isn't enough, she is in trouble with her school district's superintendant who wants her to falsify her school psychologist's records in order to please an influential parent. A third complication is her love life which now includes two men who vie for her affection. Having been a school employee with a job similar to Skye's, I recognize the problems she encounters with parents and administrators. My only objection to Skye's behavior is that she seems to think nothing of being late for school or trying to take last-minute personal days when she has other things to do. Most school employees are very conscientious about their attendance. This book is the second in the series and shows good progress in plot and character development. All in all, it's an enjoyable read.
I just love Skye Denison, Denise Swanson's amateur sleuth. She's a school psychologist who has to battle parents who can't wrap their flaccid minds around the fact that perhaps their little Betty or Reginald isn't as perfect as paradise. With these little battles to...well, battle, the last thing poor Skye needs is someone to murder her beloved grandmother, Antonia Leofanti. But someone has. Sky finds her grandma dead as the proverbial doornail in the poor old lady's bedroom, with the covers pulled up over her head, only a cloud of wispy gray hair peeking over the top. Later on the same day, or perhaps the next day, Antonia's maid and caregiver, Mrs. Jankowski is found in an abandoned well or some such, along with a half a pan of poisoned brownies jammed in beside her. As if all this isn't enough, Skye is almost positive that the person(s) who murdered her grandma and Mrs. J is a person in her family. This is a fun, fast mystery that I had a terrible time putting down.
When she left Scumble River years ago, school psychologist Skye Denison thought she-d never be back. But after a run of bad luck in the big city, she has a new appreciation for the down-home charm of small-town life--and decides to start over in the town where she started out-When Skye-s beloved grandmother is found dead in her bed, the family consensus is natural causes. Still, Skye insists on an autopsy--an examination that proves the sweet old lady was, in fact, murdered! But who could have done the deadly deed? Skye is determined to find out, though her snooping doesn-t sit well with the relatives. Family tensions can mean only one thing: family secrets. And when a series of hooligan attacks on Skye-s property leads to an outright physical assault, Skye has to wonder if by exposing the rotten roots of her family tree, she-s one step closer to exposing the killer-

(Photographic Treasure of Yankee Greatness)

(Good, but could have been better.)

(Yankees come alive in COLORS)

(Beautiful pictures of the best years to be a Yankee fan)

(Yankee Colors: The Glory Years the Mantle Era)
Although some of the photos in this book aren't "colorful" (black&white) and the ommission of any World Series pictures during the early '50s ('51-'53) leaves a slight void in your viewing pleasure, what's left is indeed a photographic treasure of the great New York Yankee teams of the "Mickey Mantle era". And that's not so bad.

Personally, I don't care if classic pictures are in color or black&white. Quite often, the most memorable shots of baseball's glorious history are in black&white. What makes them memorable are the players and the moment that is frozen in time. Who could deny the black&white shot of a jubilant Yogi Berra jumping into the arms of a startled Don Larsen at the end of Larsen's perfect game in the '56 World Series is unforgetable? Or for that matter, the famous black&white snap shot of Larsen's last pitch of that game with an alert Billy Martin ready for action in the background; which also shows the memorable situation---one more pitch to go for baseball history?

Of course, the photographs taken by Marvin Newman are predominantly originals (&in full, living color) to the vast majority of the reading audience; and that's where the big treat comes from. I got goose bumps just looking at the cover photo, with Mantle taking his classic, power cut at a pitch. Awesome.

Yankee fans will certainly treasure this wonderful collection, along with die-hard fans of the game itself. It's worth the price of admission.

Although born in 1963 and too young to have recollections of the early 1950s through 1964 time span covered by this book, I recommend Yankee Colors: The Glory Years of the Mantle Era. There are many other baseball books that account for the same period, but few offers color pictures.

The book does have some flaws:

1. Misleading title; not every photograph is in color: those of spring training and the 1955 and 1956 World Series are completely in black and white.

2. Lack of coverage, in pictures or text, of the 1951, 1952 and 1953 World Series, all of which Mantle played in.

3. Errors in content. For example, the 1963 World Series section has a picture of Jim Bouton warming up at Yankee Stadium, with the caption claiming this was game three (game three was played at Dodger Stadium).

For these shortcomings, I rated it four stars instead of five. Nevertheless, Yankee Colors is a worthy purchase; seeing the photographs of the stars of yesteryear, such as Yogi Berra, Roger Maris, Tony Kubek, Whitey Ford, and of course, Mickey Mantle, plus other great players including Sandy Koufax, Willie Mays and Bill Mazeroski, etc., in flannel uniforms, as well as that of long gone ball parks like Crosley Field, Forbes Field, and the pre-mid 1970s rennovation Yankee Stadium lets one travel back in time to a simpler era, when baseball was still more of a game, before it was taken over by free agency, battles between millionaire players and billionaire owners, greed, and steroids.

Mantle, Maris,Howard, and Stengle live again in the book YANKEE COLORS.
The photos, most rarely seen,Jump off of page after page of breataking color photography. These images make you pine for these long gone Gods of Baseball. The book is also well written, making it a joy to read and gawk at. The black and white photos are not bad either.
A must for yankee fans of all ages, and Baseball fans in general.

I received this book as a birthday present. I grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey in the 1960s and was a die hard Yankee fan. Looking at the beautiful pictures of Yankee stadium and the greats from that era brought back the memories of the best years (in my opinion) to be a Yankee fan. I especially liked the sections regarding the World Series with the Dodgers (1955-56, and 1963), the Braves (1957-58), the Pirates (1960), the Reds (1961), the Giants (1962) and the Cardinals (1964). In providing these stories and the supporting pictures, the book is surprisingly not biased towards the Yankees. It gives a good balanced showing of what happened. So, it is even a good book for a baseball fan of that era. For that reason, I highly recommend it especially for Yankee fans but also for all baseball fans of the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Excellant!!! I grew up listening to the Yankee's on my fathers radio, we didn't have Tv in those days, 1941 to 1952 when we finally got electric and a TV. That was in Kunkletown/Kresgiville Pa. I lived my married life in NJ and often went to the newer Yankee statium in the Reggie, years. Boy does this book bring back long time memories, I would recomend this picture book to any Yankee lover. My Daughter-IN-Laws sister lived next to Yogi in Montclair NJ and he is just bigger than life and just as nice and pleasant.
Here is an intimate pictorial history featuring rare and many unpublished color photographs of the Yankees from the golden age of the celebrated baseball team.Yankee Colorstells the story of the legendary period from 1949 to 1964 when New York baseball was supreme and the New York Yankees were in the World Series almost every year. Now, this glorious period of Yankees history is captured through the intimate lens of famed sports photographer Marvin Newman. He was one of the only sports photographers of the time shooting in color and capturing the Yankee greats such as Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Casey Stengel, and Yogi Berra. Images of regular season games, pennant races, World Series competition, and Yankee Stadium are included.
This book is a must for every Yankee and baseball fan, with behind-the-scenes moments and photos of the greatest baseball icons of the time.

(Not all it's cracked up to be, but still has a purpose...)
Okay, admittedly, I had caught the golf bug BIG time when I started 5 years ago. You can read my review first, then I'll try (without self-indulgence) to qualify myself a bit afterwards. After all, you'll only respect opinions from people you respect. And you really don't know me.

This product was really hyped a couple years back, with people like Tom Lehman and David Duval (give 'em a break) using it and even endorsing it. Sharper Image sells it, too. I had to get it.

I "line" all my balls anyways with the "Line 'Em Up" ball marking tool (plastic) sold at most major golf shops for about $6-7, and use a red Sharpie marker. Works great. I've pretty much ALWAYS lined my balls ON THE SEAM. I'll "seam" ProV1's when teeing them up (not really sure it makes a performance difference) and prefer putting on the seam, it's the ONLY continuously FLAT roll on a ball. Makes sense to me. Only the Callaway HX Tour's do NOT have a seam, virtually every other ball does.

First, I found that this Check-Go was kinda unstable. I mean, the balls can easily wobble on it. And it goes through batteries pretty quick. I find that it takes a while, like 90-120 seconds to get the ball spinning AT MAXIMUM speed. So, if you're planning on trueing a new box of ProV1's, figure 45 minutes plus.

Marking the balls WHILE spinning is kinda a disaster. You cannot draw CLEAR, DISTINCT lines without upsetting the 'balance' of the ball while spinning. So, I'd prefer to LIGHTLY mark the ball and use the "Line 'Em Up" tool to finish. A lot of work, I know.

Now, consistency is the issue. Will it ALWAYS go to the SAME EQUATOR when trueing the SAME BALL? My answer is almost every single time NO. So, IMHO, it isn't really 'trueing' the balance. It is FINDING AN equator, but there can be many. Maybe only one in about 25 balls (brand/model doesn't matter)will return to a near-to-exact equator when re-testing. I'm serious.

So, it doesn't work? Actually, it kinda does still. I found some of my (then new released) Maxfli M3 red dot's were VERY, VERY unbalanced. Some boxes had like 5 balls WAY unbalanced. Like, when they were spinning, you could DEFINITELY tell they were EGG shaped. And for $40/doz balls, that's a big no-no. I've never found such evident QC issues with other makes (like ProV1's, Nike Tour Accuracy TW's, Callaway HX Tours, etc).

So, for seeing if the ball is balanced, it works like a charm. To find a "sweet-spot" I'm not convinced. I STILL think putting on the seam is more conducive to "pure" roll than anything else I've ever found. And to my eye, it is less distracting than having a logo go through the middle of my line (on the ball) while at address.

I'm not saying it doesn't work. I have no way to prove that. But, I am saying it is incosistent, which to me personally means it doesn't do what it claims to do. I want it to find the same equator each time, then I'd be convinced- easily.

I never saw straighter drives or more yardage, or more distance control by using this. If I told you my full wedge goes 117 yards, I wasn't hitting 120 by lining up wedge approach shots. In fact, I am NO LONGER using it. I just use my Line 'Em Up to mark my balls again, on the seam. (used one for sale, cheap! maybe).

Me? I've played to a 7.5 handicap at its lowest, took my P.A.T. after playing for only 2.5 years and scored a 86-76 to miss by 5 strokes. Last tourney I played was at Spyglass Hill where I shot an 81 my first time on the course (from the Whites), including pars on the 7 toughest holes. I am always able to notice details in performance. A few weeks back I was at a local shop/range and was asked if I wanted to try a new Taylor Driver. I held it for about 4 seconds and said, "It looks like a shortened shaft." Sales person said, no it's standard length. I took out TWO others from the rack, sure enough, it was a half inch shorter. I worked as a Tech Rep for Rollerblade back in the day. My point? If anybody might notice a difference in performance, I'm that kinda guy. Maybe I'm not PGA tour (I'm not even close), but I recognize nuances. And since basically the first months I started playing, I've always averaged 31 putts per round or under.

I can't say this will help your game. If you're still interested, get it anyways. I spent $30 on it two years ago. At $22, what's the worst that can happen? You spend useless money to try to improve your golf game? Welcome to the world of golf, my friend.

If you still want my advice, get a putter that fits your motion the best. And that doesn't mean a Cameron or Bertinardi. I've always used mallets (I use the centerlined NOT center shafted Rossa Fontana that was recently discontinued).

If you found this helpful- or not- please vote. Cheers.

Ever wonder why golfs best players sometimes have a line on their ball? The Check Go locates a preferred alignment direction upon which the ball will best fly. The "spot" that is marked on a ball faces the player at address position. Impact is supposed to be made at the equatorial marker line. This line points down the desired path of the ball's upcoming flight. The equator may be rotated to any position along its 360-degree path. Features:
  • Works with all brands of golf balls
  • Quick and easy to use
  • Batteries and pen included
