IRobot customer service said replacing btry would make roomba work again. Ordered new one from Amazon. Roomba still dead at one and a half years old. Btry probably good. Wrote IRobot and said would not buy another because they do not last, and would begin advising friends not to buy one. I bought this seemingly too expensive battery to replace my original Roomba battery after it started to die on me after about one-and-a-quarter years of work. I should mention that it came in a parcel with just a plastic "baggie" around it and no manual or manufacturer's packaging (and for that it gets one star off). Another star off SHOULD be the price. (I thought about replacing only the rechargeable part of the battery inside - which would be cheaper in some case - but decided against it as I though if my saudering powers were a little off, I'd have to buy this battery anyway.) Still it seems to do the job well. Right now it's only a couple of jobs in, so no long-term rating yet. I robot 4905 Battery,, Bought this for my roomba Model # 4130. this is the first battery I have had to replace since I bought this 4 years ago. So far so good, I hope it last a long time. Shipping was fast. Great service. The battery was delivered in a very timely manner and was sufficiently packaged. I charged it for 24 hours and it worked wonderfully. I don't know how long the life of it will be, but so far I am very pleased. These batteries at $49 were a pretty good value. They last for about a year and help your roomba save you time and effort. Considering how much work a roomba actually does on a single charge, it's amazing they last as long as they do. BUT, $69? Sorry, that's $20 too much. When this battery dies, I'm going to go back to my upright. I hate it when I feel like I'm getting ripped off. Bought via Amazon, received quickly as usual, and have vacuumed my entire house with it. Overall I really love the unit in every respect... Except... ... the gawd awful noise the beater makes. There's some sort of ratcheting clutch that the brush belt rides on and it simply activates far too often. Out of the box it would make the noise nearly 100% of the time when on carpet. I'm talking ultra thin smooth throw rugs, not deep pile. I called tech support and they had me remove two thing rubber gaskets from the soleplate which helped a ton but hasn't been a total cure. It still makes the noise occasionally when first turning on the brushes until the motor gets up to speed or something. I can't express how loud and horrible the noise is. Contrasting to my previous Electrolux vacuums which had a toothed belt and a circuit breaker to protect the motor the Dyson smooth belt and ratchet is a poor implementation specifically due to the HORRIBLE noise. My wife was upstairs, in the laundry room, with her iPod in her ears (so she's effectively deaf in that scenario) and immediately ran downstairs to see what the noise was it was so LOUD and GAWD AWFUL. At this point I can deal with the occasional noise when starting the brush but I'd think many users would send it back. Also, due to the overall design the head can't get under kitchen/bath cabinets and furniture, it's too tall and bulky. But the on-board tools and ease accessing the hose negates that problem. Really, if it wasn't for the ratcheting noise I'd give it a 9/10. But I think Dyson missed the boat on that issue. The vacuum works great. Like really great. I sucks up dirt and other things even from the side of the vacuum, which I thought was amazing because I have never seen a vacuum do that before. The only problem is that there is no instruction manual that comes with the vacuum. There's not even a picture. So I had to go online and find a diagram of how the vacuum fits together but that wasn't very helpful either. I finally got it put together right through a lot of trial and error. I see the price has gone up! I got a total lemon at 100 dollars less! I returned this vacuum the same day. I own another dyson. A DC14, which I have owned for 3 years and absolutely LOVE. It has been banged into things, sucked up toys and still performs like a new one. I love the dyson brand. This refurbished dc14 was just bad. The only suction it had was a bit from the hose/wand attatchment. When using as an upright, it was pathetic. I kept testing it against my old one, and could not believe how awful it performed. It couldn't even get the dirt out of the hose and into the bin! Dyson's are basically like a puzzle. I have taken my old one apart to clean it and remove lodged objects. This one was not clogged, so it just had to be the motor. So many people are having no problems with theirs that it had to be my unit. Just a lemon I guess. I only buy new from now on. My old one has been well worth the money, so for an extra vacuum ( I hate lugging it up and down the steps) I will fork over the extra cash. Good Luck on Yours!! These are white..my yellow one looks like hell now, so I cannot imagine what this thing would have looked like if it had worked and I had kept it for several years. I am happy with my purchase. Cleans well. Noise level is not too high. Noticeably cleans better than some of the other brands I have used before. Recommended if the price is less that $300. I seriously doubt it's worth, if you have to pay more than $300. For those of us who had the unique privilege of hearing early Genesis back in the 70's over our favorite FM station or on our dad's first stereo system in the living room, I think we sometimes tend to take for granted just how talented, progressive and entertaining that band was. So then we turn our noses up when a band that is clearly derivative of Genesis shows up with a new cd in their classic style? I think that can be a mistake, especially with a band like The Watch that certainly has an updated (tho retro) early Genesis style, and composes some very unique melodies with storied lyrics. Sorry folks, but their 2004 release "Vacuum" is a guilty pleasure for me, with excellent vocals (very integral to this band's music) and melodic hooks, along with crystal clear production. Although the band is Italian, Simone Rossetti's Gabriel-esqe vocals are very British sounding. Special note: drummer Roberto Leoni is an exceptional talent. (Great cymbal work.) My only minor complaint is that there are only 48 minutes of music here. So here's what you do when you try a "clone" band like this: you kind of have to close your eyes and imagine yourself lying on your bunk with your Pioneer headphones on, and listening to the album that could have come out right after "The Lamb". Good shtuff. Treat yourself. I value interesting music that is played and recorded well. This cd's rating was based on: Music quality = 8.8/10; Performance = 8.5/10; Production = 9.5/10; CD length = 7/10. Overall score weighted on my proprietary scale = 8.6 ("4 stars") This type of Prog may be habit forming, but what a great addiction to have. ProgMark If you like Gabriel-era Genesis, this album is for you. Lots of mellotron and organs, tasteful guitars, and terrific&tricky time signatures and tempo changes. And while so many newer prog bands suffer from weak singing, The Watch features awesome lead vocals that are indeed very similar to Peter Gabriel. As an added plus, compared with early Genesis, the music is much better recorded, and it packs a satisfying dramatic punch - the music here leans toward the heavier side. As another reviewer said..... this is the exact same size as the tool port I have.... it is NOT four inches, but slightly less. If it were exactly four inches, it would have worked.... if it were funnel shaped, it would have worked, but it's the exact same size as my dust port. it will not fit over , or inside my dust port. The industry needs a better explanation for dust port sizes.... This has caused me agravation a few other times on shop vac and other tool dust port sizes. Gene If I had known that this was included with the Dust Hood I would not have ordered it. It is now in excess of my requirements. There seems to be some confusion/frustration about this item so consider if this is the item you actually need. This product is not designed to go directly from a 2 1/2" dust port to a 4" hose. If that is what you want get the Jet JW1000 4-Inch to 2-1/4-Inch OD 2-Inch ID Reducer 2 1/2" dust ports typically have 1/8" thick plastic which creates an interior diameter (ID) of 2 1/4". I own the JW1000 adapter and it fits perfectly into/inside my 4" dust collection hose and into/inside my 2 1/2" port on an oscillating spindle sander. Delta has an equivalent adapter (Delta P/N 50-482) but I do not own it so I can't recommend for or against it. Consider your application, measure the diameters, and then choose the adapter that fits your need. I use this almost daily when I swap the dust collector hood next to my lathe for a hose fitting to vacuum up all the chips that went elsewhere. I have a quick connect fitting on the 4" hose to easily swap it from the hood to this reducer. This reducer is such a tight fit that I can barely get it deep enough in the mating fitting to hold. The product "Number" 40201160 is a bit confusing, and the description should be made to denote that product "Number" 40201160 is Hoover's product number for a PACKAGE OF TWO 38528-033 or 38528033, belts. Having received shipment, and confirming that these were the exact replacement item, I have to say that this is a 'no-brainer' with Amazon's offer for free shipping. Have not had to use the replacement belts yet. But it came in a timely manner. I have a Hoover Tempo bagged&could not locate belts in retail stores. Here on Amazon this was the recommended belt so I ordered some. These have a very tight fit&require some strength to replace. I think the tight fit is what makes the pick up more powerful. A belt lasts about 3 months with regular use. Amazon has them at an excellent price with free shipping so it pays to stock up. Shipping is extremely fast, too. I bought two packs of these after the belt broke on the my Hoover, they are Hoover OEM parts and not generic, so I'm happy with them and the on I installed works great. Glad I have these around just in case it breaks again. The wrong belt was sent to me. I needed 2 types of belts for this vacuum clenaer and the wrong "one" was sent to me.
