(Great motivator for couch potatoes) 『Okay, by now, everyone and her mother owns this game. It is great for getting in shape. I love how it keeps track of my weight the how it graphs my progress. I like the little test it gives us before each session, though results on those tests seem to vary widely from day to day. (My Wii Fit age can be anywhere from 30 to 40.)
There are four areas we can work on: yoga, strength training, cardio and balance games. Though the cardio is included, I feel the focus of this product is in strengthening the core muscles. For someone like me, who is neither athletic nor in shape, these exercises are not easy. My neighbor's co-worker actually injured herself so badly doing the Wii Fit, that she ended up in the hospital! So, a message for the unfit: go slow.
The difficulty levels in Wii Fit increase gradually. The more Wii exercises I do, the more exercises are unlocked and I then have the choice of doing longer sessions.
YOGA
Holding those poses is not easy. Keeping the dot in the perfect spot is even harder. One of the problems with holding the dot still is that I am not always be able to see the dot from whatever position I have myself twisted into.
STRENGTH TRAINING
I found my heart beating hard after doing some of these, harder than it beat after cardio, so it can be an intense workout. Be prepared to be sore!
CARDIO
Jogging can get a little boring. I can't run faster than my little guide.
I'd get a littte frustrated with step sometimes, because I'd step, but the step wouldn't register. It's more about stepping with the beat in that game. They do let us step while watching tv, which I like; but it's not a hard workout.
The hula hooping is fun, at first. As I hula hoop, the friends throw hula hoops at me to catch, but after awhile, they stop throwing hula hoops at me for me to catch and I just have to hula hoop. I get bored just hula hooping without anything else to do.
Boxing can be fun, but I found out quickly that the jabbing motion doesn't register well. I have to "hit like a girl" for it to work. It would be fun if it was a true boxing game rather than the choreographed boxing game, but maybe that would turn off some women.
BALANCE GAMES
I have never been athletic, so balance is not easy for me. I have a very hard time with balance games, but balance games are the most enjoyable part of Wii Fit.
SUMMARY
Wii Fit is a great way to motivate the couch potatoes like me. My core muscles need work and this is a great help. I recommend Wii Fit for anyone like me.
For those who need cardio, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. It's not very good at focusing on that, the workout is not great (I'm not breathing very hard, and that's a bad sign because I'm very out of shape) and you might easily get bored.』

(Animal Crossing Wild world DS Addict loves this CIty Folk wii) 『I have been playing ACWW on DS for almost a year now and have almost mastered it and have everything. I got a wii this year so I could do wii fit plus and get exercise....doctor approved and recommended. Anyway it is a blast and I use the game as a reward for exercise.
It is about 75% like ACWW. Then man it takes off and has twice if not more things to do. If you are an ACWW player here are a few things that are different and so fun. 1. You get to choose 1 of 4 houses to move in when you start. 2. You get 4 characters all having own house (4 mortgages too) 3. Many of the same animals from ACWW but they say different things. 4. So far I have meet Pascal and he behaves differently 5. Saharah also has different things for you to do. 6. The town landscape is multi layers. Mine has canyons, cliffs, many lakes, 2 waterfalls, You still have Nook's, Ables, Civic Center, Museum in the town 7. You take a bus to the city and there are many animals walking around to talk to, that is so fun. I'll not tell you all the shops but you will know some of the people there too.
So far it has been a lot of fun and starting over is great, something to work at. It does let you move your house from the DS if you want to. I did not so do not know how that would look.

There are many things you will not learn just by playing: like the fact that there are MANY different layouts for your town and if you don't like the one you get first, just restart until you find one you like; that the "snow melt" is really your grass wearing away from running on it, not the snow melting. But overall the game is awesome: simpleminded in a way that is so relaxing yet challenging, but not in a super competitive way.
I just love this game and cannot get enough of playing it. It is real-time based, unless you alter your game clock. The things you can do change by the time of day/night, so players are encouraged to play at different times. Gameplay You make the whole story, as you and up to three other players move into a town and just live life. Befriend your animal neighbors, decorate your house with cool furnishings, fill up your wardrobe, get to know the local wildlife, hop on a bus to visit the new city and just explore the world. There are a million different ways to play. Every charming animal character has a personality: some are grouches while others are chatterboxes. And there's no final goal or high score to hit. The game keeps going for as long as you want to play, and your town will always be there when you return. Move into town, buy a house and then do whatever you want. Time and seasons pass as they do in the real world, so there's always something different happening. Collect more than 2,400 items, go fishing for rare and interesting fish, catch all kind of cool bugs, dig up dinosaur fossils and buried treasure, hang out with other players or spend the day in the city. Befriend your animal neighbors by exchanging letters, gifts and favors. Animals can also move from town to town, bringing their memories and stories from their old towns with them. And since animals are notoriously loose-lipped, they spill all the juicy details.
Express Your Personal Style: Customize your town, your house and yourself by collecting bugs, fish, fossils, art, furniture, clothes and accessories. You can also go to the salon in the city to change your hairstyle and get a Mii makeover. Plus, if you design clothes in the tailor's shop, animals will wear them and maybe even bring them to other towns.
Your Neighbors Familiar faces such as K.K. Slider, Tom Nook, Blathers and Mr. Resetti all appear, as well as a bunch of new characters like Festivale host Pavé and Bug-Off judge Bud. The brain games themselves are fun, but the hassle of getting to each one exceeds the pleasure of actually playing. (This complaint is similar to that of Wii Fit, where each exercise is punctuated by intro and outro dialogs that destroy any rhythm you might have built up.) It seems like a lot of Wii games do this, which is why i don't buy a lot of Wii games anymore.

Art Parts:In this Visualize activity, players must complete the sample painting by stamping the missing pieces onto an unfinished scene. When it becomes more difficult, Art Parts flips the unfinished scene sideways or flips it upside-down.
Balloon Burst:In this Compute activity, players must pop balloons in rising numerical order. At its easiest, there are few balloons shown at once. On a higher difficulty level, Balloon Burst sends in more balloons, including some with negative numbers.
Fast Focus:In this Identify activity, players see a distorted image that slowly returns to normal. Players must select what it is as soon as they figure it out. As it grows more difficult, Fast Focus starts with a more heavily distorted image, so it takes longer to identify what it is.
How to progress through the game:When players start a new game, they'll meet the whimsical Dr. Lobe, who will suggest that they take on the Test mode challenge: playing all 15 activities that span the five brainy categories. He'll tell players how big their brain is based on how well they did and how fast they did it. He'll encourage players to take the Test often and to use Practice mode to beef up their skills in all 15 of the activities. Practice mode also offers three difficulty levels for each activity, and Dr. Lobe will award several medals for high achievement in each one.
Multiplayer:Big Brain Academy: Wii Degreeoffers three ways for groups to play:
Mental Marathon: Speed through activities to buy more time to stay in the game. Go it solo or as a team, but if anyone botches an activity, the game is done (1-8 players, one Wii Remote).
Mind Sprint: Form a team to compete against a system-controlled competitor that "thinks" like a selected student record (1-4 players with one Wii Remote). Or separate into two teams (2-8 players with two Wii Remotes). The first side to complete a set number of problems wins.
Brain Quiz: Play game-show style with up to four teams that compete in a total of 20 activities, since five extra activities are available in this mode. (1-8 players, one Wii Remote)
Mii compatibility:Everyone who enrolls in the academy will choose a Mii, which will walk down the school's hallway and pop up during Wii Remote handoffs to help explain which teammate goes next in multiplayer matches.
Wii Remote audio:Players will get encouragement and hear color commentary from a "Wii Remote Coach" who speaks to the player through the Wii Remote speakers.
WiiConnect24:InBig Brain Academy: Wii Degree, players can send and receive student-record books full of brainy data. By establishing WiiConnect24 ties with Wii Friends who own the game, players can all see their academies affected in several fun ways:
Compare distant students' test scores with those of the local student body on the Student Scores board. Distant students' records are shown as books.
Compete against distant students' brains in Mind Sprint. Players actually play against game-controlled competitors that "think" based on brainy strengths and weaknesses in their student records.
The distant player's "Mii student" will walk the hallways with the player's own student body. Players can make WiiConnect24 connections with many students, adding many Miis to their crowd.
Players are encouraged to send and receive each others' records frequently, so that their academies have up-to-date results for competition and comparison. In this way, individual academies can join a personal network of schools and push each other to develop their brains further.
