(I love bustin' ghosts!)
『I have to say, when I first heard about this game I was not overly excited. I thought it could be entertaining, but not something I was likely to get into. I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the story and I felt the cut scenes were well done. The game was not difficult; there were a couple of bosses that were harder than the others, but I felt I completed the game sooner than I would have liked. I hoped for a little more side quests, puzzles, challenges...something of that nature.

I did feel that the game play utilized the Wii Remote well and that added a bit to the game play. Some games tend to use the motion just because it's there but not to truly add anything to the game itself.

My only real complaint would be the damage cost meter. It didn't seem to have any consequences when you were excessively destructive, so it seemed to be pointless. Of course, I could have simply missed it!

Overall, I was quite pleased with the Ghostbusters: The Video Game and I certainly recommend it.』

(Short but Story is Good)
『This is the first game that my wife and I bought for the Wii, and we finished it within two weeks. It was worth the money because the story was fun. Sometimes the controls were clunky - like when you slam a ghost (which forces you to move the controller off screen) and have to then re-point the controller at the Wii. But the real value to us was that we could play cooperatively instead of head-to-head.』

(A Fun Game)
『It would have been better as a multi-player game, but my kids are having a lot of fun with it. And now they would like to see the Ghost Busters Movie. One problem that they are having is that they are hung up in one of the levels and just can't seem to get any further in the game. Otherwise there have been no other problems with it.』

(Locks up and too few save points)
『The game is fun but with buggy lockups in the cemetery and too few save points it's not worth the effort. Three times it has locked up and my effort is lost.』

(A Love Letter To Ghostbusters Fans)
『Lets get this out of the way early: your enjoyment of this game will be directly related to how much you enjoy the movie Ghostbusters. I adore the film and in turn, love the game as well.

The original story (with voices reprised by the original actors) is the main reason to get Ghostbusters. The game is laugh out loud funny and the script makes consistant references to the original films. For example, during a level taking place at the New York Public Library, Venkman yells at your character to "Get Her!" in reference to the Gray Lady. If that makes you laugh, you will love the game. If you are apathetic towards the films, the gameplay isn't likely going to thrill you enough to justify purchasing.

The game is short with several stages cut up into 10 minute chunks. If you were to skip the cut scenes, it is hard to imagine the game taking more than 4-5 hours to beat. While the game is short, I found the gameplay to be compelling, however many others have found it repetitive. Each level generally consists of several ghosts that you will have to wrangle along with your partners. Each trapping is similar. Either you weaken the ghost with your weapons before trapping it using a motion waggle and a nunchuck bowling motion, or you simply blow it apart. Bosses are a bit more difficult as they generally have specific weaknesses (for example, blasting chunks of building back at Stay-Puft.)

Another enjoyable part for me is the destructable environments that you can blow through for amusement and to discover collectable book pages that cna be combined with pke meter scans of objects and enemies, similar to the Metroid Prime series.

All in all, if you are a fan of Ghostbusters, you will enjoy it, if not, you'll probably be happier with Metroid Prime or another 3rd person shooter.』
