Everything else worked great and I liked that I seldom had to use my big oven because it was large - many of the countertop ovens are typical toaster ovens that are too small. But I missed the convection feauture - especially for cooking meat so I donated it when I moved from Texas back to Virginia this summer. It is just my husband and me now most of the time and we work opposite shifts so are often only cooking for ourselves so I did a lot of research on tabletop convection ovens.
The Breveille had such good reviews that I bought it. It is not as large as my Hamilton Beach - but larger than many of the toaster type ovens on the market. I wanted it in black but it only comes in brushed stainless steel - but it looks - and cooks - like a commercial oven. I love it. I have made bran muffins in it every morning for the two weeks I have had it - perfect muffins every time.
My husband did not want me to get another tabletop oven because counter space is prime real estate in our smaller kitchen but I just could not see heating the big oven up to cook muffins for 20 minutes, etc. So, he kind of groaned when he saw it on the counter a few weeks ago. It took me a few times of experimenting - and then actually reading the manual - to get the dials set right but I like that they are turn dials and not electronic because they should last longer. One thing when I first heated t as instructed before using was the current temperature - it looked like it had two readings. Finally - duh- I realized I needed to peel off the protective sticker,,,,,
Well, my husband offered to bring in a turkey breast for their potluck today at his work. At Wal-Mart I picked him up the Honeysuckle White turkey breasts - figuring that since Honeysuckle White has always been the best tasting turkeys we have roasted that camd from the grocery store - I couldn't go wrong. He was a little more astute than I was at first and figured out the controls himself (men don't read instruction manuals anyway). He used the convection feature for roasting the turkey breast. He put it in the fridge last night and put it back in the fridge after his commute. He set it out 30 minutes before the potluck and used my electric knife to carve it. He said he is glad he tasted it before putting it out or he would not have gotten any. He said it was absolutely delicious - the convection really ikept in the juices well - and even though thoroughly done on the meat thermometer - tender and juicy on the inside. He called me from work and told me to go back to Wal-mart and get a few more of them and put in the freezer because the Honeysuckle White are hard to find at other times of the year and he definitly wants more to cook in the Breville.
I know this oven will come in handy over the holidays when my house is full of children and grandchildren. You can use the top of the Breville as a warming tray! Plus there is a warm setting on the dial fo foods inside. The Breville will hold a 13 x 9 pan provided the pan does not have protruding edges.
The Breville is more expensive that I would have liked - but it looks like it was built to last and we are now BOTH thrilled with it. I have used it every day for two weeks. As of this writing, Amazon has the best price on the internet for this oven- including free shipping.』

I was very apprehensive about buying this oven online since there are so many toaster ovens in the city, but this convection oven was the best deal. Plus free shipping is awesome. Like a few other reviewers have said, the exterior gets pretty hot so be careful of what's near the oven - a phone cord was almost melted on this end. Several years back my solution for a mandoline was the Bron, you know, that "the choice of chefs around the world" thingy.
My wife found the Bron cumbersome to setup/adjust and pretty much left the thing packed away and had to relearn the unit at next use.
Don't get me wrong, the Bron is an excellent device but it's meant for frequent use, it probably needs to be "broken in" to setup/adjust easily and frequent use means no extended learning curve on how not to damage the unit.
The OXO does all she needs, it's setup/adjustment is intuitive for the occasonal user and the "fear" of damaging an expensive kitchen gizmo is non-existent.

(waste of money) 『So I got this about a year ago, and it's only been good at taking up valuable space in my kitchen tool drawer. It worked great for about the first two or three uses, but then the blade got dull and despite all my best efforts I can't seem to get a good edge on the thing since it's more than a little tricky to hone a v-blade or a julienne blade all of which were dull when I got the mandolin. The set up of some of the other blades has been difficult and more than a little counterintuitive, not to mention dangerous. The plastic deck at the tip of the V isn't nearly sturdy enough so if you have to use any pressure on the food you're slicing, and you will, it dips down and then none of the slices are thin or uniform enough. The safety guard is an unweildy mess and I end up having to ditch it after a few seconds, which, you know is a great feature for a safety device. This thing is only good on softer veggies, or hard veggies that have been boiled to tenderness prior to use from what I can tell. Don't use this if you're trying to cut anything denser and harder than a boiled skinless yukon gold potato. Oh, yeah, and I think the only thing that's been sliced effectively on this thing after the first three uses has been my hand on more than one occassion. I'm not a novice with this stuff since I've cooked in restaurant kitchens before.』

It was really easy to use and very safe (especially for someone as clutzy as I am!). It does take a little bit to figure out how to switch out the blades, but if you just take the time to read the directions, it's a snap. I'm definitely very happy with it!』

We have used ours VERY frequently for about 10 years to make both poached and hard boiled eggs. For poached eggs, we found some tricks. When you start poaching, wait until there is a little steam and then put a tiny glob of butter or margarine in each cup. Swirl it around to make sure the cup is well coated. That way the egg will slide off the cup easily. Then, we use a plastic utensil (a plastic spoon or knife is fine) to "pop" the egg out, so the teflon does not scratch over time. BE SURE TO TAKE THE EGG OUT AS SOON AS IT POPS, so that it will not stick to the cup. That way you will have perfect eggs, and an extremely easy clean up.
To clean up, I take the cups and just wipe them clean with a paper towel right away. No soap or water is necesary. If you do it right away, after the eggs are out, the cups will be perfectly clean and you will protect the integrity of the surface.
I am SO glad Oster finally started making these again. I have no idea why they stopped.
They are very well made, but do not last forever. Over the years have resorted to buying several used ones from Ebay, since that was the only place we could get them. We are so in love with the PERFECT poached eggs these make, I can not imagine having poached eggs another way. They also make effortless hard boiled eggs. It's also a great gift for couples or families who like poached eggs.』

I should have read the many one star reviews before I ordered because all the complaints are true. This is the worst DVD production I have ever seen. The video is so grainy it is virtually unwatchable. I have a VCR of this concert which I copied off a TV broadcast many years ago and it is higher quality. DVD's of this video quality (if there is even one other of this poor quality) should not be sold. Amazon should remove this DVD from their inventory because it is substandard and totally unacceptable.
It is one of my three most favorite concerts of all time so I am really upset at how I wasted money on this purchase. Peter Gabriel surely cannot be aware of this horrible quality DVD because he certainly would not let this be sold. I hope more people will write reviews at one star and drive down the misleading 4 star average so no one else will do what I did and not notice the very high number of one star reviews.

The little flourishes, sounds and melodies that only bagpipes can produce add a lot to each one of these songs, sometimes making me feel like I was hearing old favorites for the first time. (Still the best Police Footage ever released) 『I am still enjoying this tape 25 years after its release, get a copy of it or wait for the DVD.』
(um...) 『OK, like all the other fanboys who have posted here I adore the Police, they're one of the greatest bands ever. This video is a snapshot of their around-the-world tour. Some of it is raw--extremely raw--concert footage, which is terrific and thankfully devoid of the wretched early 80s special effects that darn near sunk the Synchronicity concert video. The music, of course, is great, though the audio quality is not. The bulk of the footage, however, is the Police messing around off the stage, taking in the local customs, and generally being silly. (At one show, only blondes are allowed in. At another, Andy Summers plays a whole set in what appears to be a dinosaur suit.)
This thing has definite cult and camp value and gets props for being in the right place at the right time, just when the Police were taking off as a band, but after an hour of hi-jinks it sort of wears itself out. I've seen high school spoofs conducted with greater audio-visual dexterity and with a higher level of overall maturity by all involved. That said, seeing Andy attempt to sumo wrestle with a professional at least five times his weight is almost worth the price of admission alone.
Overall, I feel this release is sort of ridiculous but it's rather fun, the music is good, the band is interesting on the stage or off and if you're a Police fan who still somehow has a working VCR I won't tell you not to get it.』
(Still a must-have for any serious music fan -- DVD PLEASE!!!) 『This too was the video that turned me into a die-hard Police fan back in High School. It still is the best film on the Police that is out there. I recently bought the Synchronicity Concert, as well as the Videos collection (the Jools Holland-narrated documentary on Monserrat was the best part), and now I am really Jonesing for this title on DVD. I have a VHS copy that's still in pretty good condition (my 3rd copy of it, mind you), and I have the "Outlandos to Synchronicities" (also on VHS) retrospective which is not bad. But to fully appreciate the Police, this is the one to get. It really caught them at the point they begain their meteorlogic rise to world domination, and at their most vital. The Synchronicity Concert has a more polished, and dare I say more tamer sound. The concert footage in Police Around the world was just raw and manic, and the band just Kicked ASS every time out. The Synchronicity show seems like a victory lap after the war was over. This footage shows them in the trenches. Recently, I've been watching these films with my 9-year old son who aspires to be a drummer, and he's blown away by Stewart's drumming on all these films. Like millions of Police fans around the world, I've held out hope that the Police would get back together to do a concert, a benefit, anything. However, I was watching a brief clip online (VH-1.com) of their performance at the 2003 Rock-n-Roll hall of fame induction show, and let me just say, I was completely underwhelmed. Sting has grown into a "boring old crooning fart" as someone wrote elsewhere, and his solo work can be heard now on easy-listening radio. Really disappointing. Even Stewart said in the interview that the performance was an "echo of their past glory". So while they may indeed play again someday -- the best stuff you'll ever hear from the police was done here on this video -- the '81, pre-world stardom Police. It will never be better than that.』
(GET IT DONE!!!!!!!!) 『I had been waiting for years for these guys to release a Live DVD I had the pleasure of seeing them in their prime for both the "Ghost in the machine and Synchronicity tours" in Vancouver, Canada. I recently purchased the "Live in Atlanta" show and have just learned that they also have a Live DVD of the "Ghost in the machine tour"((Korea)) However it seems to have pretty bad reviews. Point is I have also just learned of the "Around the World VHS" which seems to be a favourite of everyone.. (how long has DVD technology been around for now? my question is WHY has this NOT been released on DVD?? Here's the thing I'm a fan not a fanatic of 'The Police' nonetheless they're a solid band who kicked some a** during their time. However if I was that guy or girl who just couldn't live without these cats in my collection I'd be pretty dissapointed that those in charge can't seem to make the transfer from VHS to DVD and make all their devoted fans big or small happy! Isn't this how Bootlegs are born...hmmmm. Peace.』

(Brilliant !) 『Brilliant concert from one of Africa's most promising artists. Baaba is a great singer, dancer, composer and he has a clear vision of his art. The show has some beautiful initimate moments. There is quite a bit of magic between the dancers and they all seem to have a good time themselves which certainly reflects in the performance. I love the way Baaba creates a modern version of African music by combining different elements of African music in a new and unpredictable way, and all the while keeping the acoustic quality of the music alive. He shows you do not necessarely need to sell out to Western (commercial) taste in order to create a modern African sound. I never heard Baaba Maal before this DVD, but I'm certainly a fan now !』

It is the only DTS DVD I have seen that also has a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack so you can make direct comparisons between the two formats. The video quality is good, with the costumes colorful. Even if you've never heard of Baaba Maal but like Youssou N'Dour or other African musicians, give it a try.』

(Works well the first 2 years...) 『This heater is wonderful; it produces hot air and heats a small room fairly quickly. I purchased it for under $30 at Wally World 2 years ago. The second year of use, this unit worked but the thermostat was malfunctioning. I had to tap the unit to get it to come back on otherwise wait until the room was uncomfortably cold before it would turn back on by itself. If I turned it up, it would come back on sooner but the room would be too hot. Its like old thermostats with the mercury you tap to get things moving. I wont purchase another Lasko unit ever again.
Maybe I got a defective one but I wouldn't risk it. Go with one with a digital thermostat for more precise heating.』

If you are a fan of spotty, yet very entertaining matches, this will be your bread and butter, but if not, it won't do anything for you. One thing that is undeniable, however, is the Money in the Bank's ability to create stars, at a time when WWE needs it the most. C.M. Punk wins in a very good, entertaining opener. Nothing you really haven't seen from this specialty match, but it certainly wasn't bad. ***1/2
25 Diva Battle Royale - Absolute garbage. After an exhausting, and incredibly terrible Kid Rock performance, which drained the life of out of the crowd (in a bad way), this match made me wonder why I even tune in. Truly terrible; even the winner was pathetic. Having a male win a female battle royal shows how much the WWE cares about their Women's division. The returning Diva's, which was supposed to be the highlight of the match, didn't even get proper introductions, or farewell's. In all respect to the commentators, they stunk it up as well. 1/4* (Just for seeing the returning Diva's.)
Ricky Steamboat, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper&"Superfly" Jimmy Snuka Vs. Chris Jericho (3 on 1 Handicap match) - Going into this match, I was convinced it would be the garbage of the night, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. Simply put, this match was actually very solid- nothing special, but a more-than-respectable effort put out by 4 Legends in this business. Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper put on a performance that was nothing to go out of you're way to see, but who can blame these 55+ year olds? Ricky Steamboat, however, gave the fans one of the highlight's of the night- he was actually a great performer! Honestly, he could probably out=work 80% of the WWE Roster. Also, kudos to Jericho for putting up a great WrestleMania performance (something that was lacking from other athletes the entire night). **3/4
Matt Hardy Vs. Jeff Hardy (Extreme Rules Match) - Going into this 'Mania, I' sure we all expected this to be runner-up for match of the night, however, it definately was not. While it was far from bad, it was also nothing special at all. Again, an underwhelming performance from both of the Hardy Boyz. To be honest, I've never thought they've had good chemistry. ***1/4 (It wasn't atrocious y any stretch of the word, but it was very disappointing, keeping up with the theme of the night.) However, I did enjoy the fact that Matt got the win.
Rey Mysterio Vs. JBL (WWE Intercontinental Title Match) -Here, the WWE shows that not only do they not care about their tag team division (by kicking it off the card in place for a poor mini-concert), or their women's division (by having a male win the 'Miss WrestleMania' crown), they also demonstrate why the midcard means nothing to them- simply put, Rey pins JBL in 21 seconds. DUD
The Undertaker Vs. Shawn Michaels - Absolutely stunning match. If it wasn't for these two guys, this would have been undoubtably the third worst 'Mania of all time (behind 15, and 2). They absolutely tore the house down with some awesome storytelling and psychology, false finishes, and sick bumps. Although 1 move was slightly botched, to me, this is the essence of Pro-Wrestling. They had the crowd in the palm of their hands, and didn't let go. ***** (And I don't give those away too often!)
John Cena Vs. The Big Show Vs. Edge (Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship) - Again, really underwhelming. It was far from bad, and my favorite of the double main event here, but definately not that great. For a World Heavyweight Championship Main Event at WrestleMania, this really disappointed. Nothing special here. ***
Randy Orton Vs. HHH (WWE World Title Match) - Absolute disappointment of the night, and that is truly saying something, considering the rest of garbage on this card. They didn't work a particularly bad match, but if this was a main event for Raw, I would have been slightly disappointed, let alone the main event for their most coveted prize in the 'grandest stage of them all'. The crowd was absolutely dead, and they had every right to be that way. **1/2 (Nothing truly terrible, but incredibly disappointing. One of the most underwhelming (and I know I've used that word a lot) main event's in Wrestlemania history.)
Overall, this was a disappointing show. It truly demonstrated what is wrong it WWE- lack of mid card depth, tag team depth, and women that can actually wrestle. Although Michaels/Undertaker is an absolute must watch for any pro wrestling fan out there, nothing else on this card (with the exception of Steamboat's performance) was particularly great. It just goes to show you that the stars of yesteryear (Michaels, Undertaker, Jericho, Steamboat) will always be legends, while the stars of today (Orton, Cena, Big Show) will always be just wrestler's.

Jeff hardy vs. Matt Hardy-Extreme rules Great match here. Lots of weapons here, trash can, vacume cleaner, tables, chairs, ladders, creches, kendo sticks, and a wm 25 poster. What a moment when jeff missed a leg drop off a 16 ft. ladder. Jeff even cracked the ring. Also, awesome moment when jeff dived off the top rope and made matt go through tables. Great match here. JBL vs. Rey Mysterio-Intercontinental Championship This match is a total waste. This match is only 28 seconds and mysterio winning the intercontinental title. Great moment when JBLOSER quit. FINALLY!!!!! Match rating:3/10
Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels I hope you can say the word classic because that is what this match is. This match totally deserved to be the main event. This match is defanatly motn. Great moments when shawn missed the moonsaulet, and when undertaker dived on a camera man. I loved that the streak continues to 17-0. Awesome moment when taker kicked out of the sweet chin music and michaels kicked out of the tombstone. Best moment in the match when taker countered the moonsaulet into the tombstone for the win. Match rating:100/10
John Cena vs. Edge vs. Big Show-World Heavyweight Championship Good match, but a little short for a triple threat, but still good. Cena pulling off the win with a attitude adjustment on big slow. Also, great moment in the match when edge made big slow go through the barricade. Also, who can forget the super human effort by cena when he picked up slow and edge on his shoulders. Triple H vs. Randy Orton-WWE Championship This match is almost worth watching, but not very good. This is more like a brawl than a match. I like how hhh kicked orton in the skull and hit him with the sledge hammer when the ref was down and got the pedigree for the win to retain. Match rating:6/10

I seem to have developed a sensitivity to mold, which many homes and apartments have here in San Francisco due to the moist air. My doctor recommended an air purifier. This unit dramatically made a difference overnight in my allergies and I highly recommend it. It is the size of a small ottoman and is supposed to be placed 3 Feet from the wall or furniture for optimum functionality. Some people have felt that it was noisy. When the unit was on high I did notice that I had to turn up the volume slightly on the TV. Although, I just placed the unit on the medium speed and it was quieter. It's not noisy and is about the same as having a fan running, like if you had a small air conditioner. This product is highly effective in purifying our living room atmosphere (a room about 17'x22'). In our urban condo, we deal with pollution, pollen, and cat dander. This air purifier is surprisingly quiet, has 3 speed settings, and has a permanent HEPA filter which we clean out using our HEPA rated vacuum cleaner - - saving us money on replacement filters.
I won't lie. The thing is really big. Our home is only 850 sq. ft. and I am amazed that I willingly dedicate the square footage to this thing that it demands. It's about the size of a low nightstand, or one of those Gatorade containers you see at NFL games on TV that they dump over the coach's head :) Also, it isn't completely silent - - but the noise is not at all intrusive. I actually think it's quieter than our Honeywell 17000. In my research, I read that for an effective air purifier I think you have to put up with a decent-sized unit. For the benefits it provides, we don't mind the sound or the size.
We leave the unit on 24/7 on "Low," and once a week after I thoroughly vacuum and clean our home, I run it on "high" for about 2 hours.
Overall, I recommend this product to allergy sufferers, provided you're fully aware of its size and mild noise. For the price, it's a very effective unit - - and if you want something equally effective but smaller, you're talking about hundreds of dollars more in price.』

Your location matters and the higher up you can put this antenna the better. If you have a house, putting it in the attic and wiring it to the house cable is probably a good thing to do. I'm in a top floor condo and live by the San Francisco Bay right on the water so I get great reception in my location. I have this antenna hidden behind my entertainment rack and it works great there. It's quite ugly and has long aerials so I would never consider having it out on display. It takes some trial and error and again, depends on your location. If I ever move to a location where I don't get as good over the air reception, I would opt for getting cable or UVerse or satellite instead.』
