(Horns and a tail do really make the man ;)) (Yay!!) This is a must read for all yaoi fans! The artwork is beautiful, and the main storyline is fresh, not canned. The men are beautiful looking, while still not looking too feminine. The storyline is straightforward and sweet, and the love scenes are graphically artistic, although not pornographic. What I love most about this manga is how humor and romance are perfectally balanced and interwoven into the storyline. This is a happy romance yaoi novel. If you like a lot of angst and drama, this may not be your favorite book, but you should STILL READ IT ANYWAY! :) Thank you so much for having this product on amazon! I was so happy to see it and I knew I had to get it! The book came in great timing, great condition, and I read it over and over, enjoying it. Thank you so much! You just have to love the main story, "The Devil's secret" of gentle Father Mauro and Raoul, the sexy incubus with the growing horns and swishing tail. Theirs is one sweet romance as the incubus needs sex to live and Father Mauro finds himself leads astrayed but in love. The little fun story on the devil Baldur (Raoul's elder brother), and his own treacherous incubus is equally delightful. Love Baldur's long "dress" and flappy wings! Takanaga sensei has done a marvelous job drawing this one. The chibis are just cute. The other 2 contemporary romances are great too, especially "Before Winter Comes" which is just so sweet. Lovely expressive artwork from this mangaka. As with other works by Hinako Takanago, `The Devil's Secret' contains well plotted stories which roll easily from page to page, and again, as usual with her work, is positively brimming with endearing characters. The primary story between a considerate priest and a boy who has mysteriously grown horns and a tail is fun and sweet. It focuses on the sexual kink of being loved by (what could be) a demon and their blossoming romance. The next two stories are firmly in the modern day. One involves a serious (socially maladjusted) college student who takes a small stint in teaching at a local high school. He is then pursued (quite energetically and openly and during class no less) by a high school student, and though the characters are a bit exaggerated, it's a blast to read. The other story involves two college students and long distance and longing, and was an enjoyable read with a satisfying conclusion (if easily put out of mind by the other stories). Our last stop is back in the land of demons, and it focuses on some of the most stunning (if unique - what with tails and wings) men Takanago has ever drawn. It's not a straight course in love for out poor...er demon..., but (if you are like me) you'll enjoy the smut and root for both the seme and the uke while laughing at the situation (that, of course, they brought upon themselves). I am Hinako Takanaga fan, and therefore own this product. It has cute short stories about a little "devil" who falls for a priest and a side story about the devil's older brother and his own lover. Really funny and sweet, if you have enjoyed any other of the mangaka's work, then this is a must have. "Devil's Secret (Yaoi)". (Great Series!) (Pretty, But Noticeably Flawed) A fantastic book, great story and wonderful graphics. I hope this story can be continued in future novels. This series has a great story about a young man comming to terms with his love of another man. In this book he has to come to terms with the fact he is jealous of his lover's beautiful publisher. In the second story line the younger of our lovers has just come back when he left he didn't leave a note and didn't write for a whole year. Misunderstanding abound all for a happy ending. I feel kind of bad giving this book 3 stars. It's sort of on the brink of four stars, but there were just some problems that kept on nagging at me. Let me first say that while I was reading this, I was totally engrossed. The art is very pretty, the storyline flows pretty well, and the romance is nice. Especially during romantic scenes, the art is lovely. I won't say I regret buying it, but... After I finished reading it, the problems just kept hanging over my head. I can't say I like the coersion and rape and whatnot. I don't mind it if it's meant to be sadistic, but when they should be in love... In its defense, there is much less coersion than in the first volume, and I love the Junjo Egoist story, which is sweeping and romantic and beautiful and whatnot. But the Junjo Romantica story is beginning to get on my nerves. Manipulative, rich, talented, intelectually-perfect seme occasionally force-smexing inferior, struggling uke. Unfortunately, I may also be comparing this to Hybrid Child again, which was visually stunning and unbelievable, but it just doesn't seem to live up. I don't necessarily regret buying it, and I may (by my own masochistic nature) buy the third volume when it arrives, but it won't necessarily become one of my absolute most favorite mangas ever. Misaki and Usagi have been living together for over a month now, but when a beautiful editor named Aikawa enters the picture, will Misaki question his love for Usagi? Later, things get rocky in Hiroki and Nowaki's relationship when Nowaki contemplates leaving to study abroad! Will anything give these couples a happy ending? (the bestest) Ok, for those that love yaoi this is by far the best series I have ever read, the books are kind of explicit but the romance shown in this series is far the best. I have cried, I have Aawwed, I have laughed. At times the situations are so cute I just end up blushing. It isn't like other yaoi titles that just goes straight to the sex, this story is just that a story of pure romance which is what Junjo Romantica means.
