『My daughter wanted to paint her room like a rainbow... "one wall red, one wall orange, one wall yellow", etc... which was a little much for me. So I convinced her to paint her room like the sky (blue with clouds) and we could get a "real" rainbow to cast across the room. She went for it. It doesn't work in the daytime at all, but at night, it's the perfect nightlight. It casts a rainbow light across her ceiling in an arc shape. It times out (turns off by itself), so I don't have to worry about it being on all the time or turning it off. We both really enjoy it.』

『got this for my 2.5 year old daughter less than a month ago. Though it says for kids above 3 on the package, with a little PG, she's able to do most of the activities... Initially i was a little disappointed with the screen, since it's more activity index and less screen, and the resolution looked BAD. I'd bought it after reading the reviews on Amazon and after receiving it and looking at the screen, i was gonna return it, but then thought i'd give it a try coz my kid was driving me crazy asking for a 'laptop', and whaddoyuknow, my daughter lovvves it.... took her time to learn to manoevure the mouse (she was moving it around like a regular mouse), but got the hang of it soon. Thanks to this toy (and another one i bought a few days earlier - the Leap Frog scribble and write), she now is constantly reading stuff out to us - upper and lower case. A really worthwhile investment for your kid...i just wish the background music wasn't so irritating and the screen were larger, but hey u can't beat the value for 20-something bucks.』

Now that she is 3 she knows her ABCs and numbers but still can't navigate this computer. She likes to turn it on and listen to it pronounce the letters but that's about it. Also if you turn it on it continues to play annoying music until you turn it off again!! I think this might be fun for an older child but definately not for younger children. Perhaps it should be for 4-6 year olds. Anything younger than that seems like a waste to me.』

『This is exactly what you would expect from Scene It with an all Simpsons theme. This game and a partnership with the Television show make for a nice combination. For avid fans of the Simpsons, the game is a little easy so perhaps you might make a rule that you need to have the entire name of a character (even the obscure ones) to get the answer right. The game on the disc looks solid and crisp and it does NOT look like something that was just thrown together. If you like the Simpsons or are huge fans, you won't be disappointed buying this.』

『Let me start by saying I'm not very familiar with the other "Scene It?" brand dvd/board games. So I can't say how this Simpsons edition compares to others. What I CAN tell you is that if you like casual trivia-based board games with a home video element AND you are a HUGE fan of The Simpsons, there is no doubt that you will love this game!

The concept is simple: up to four players (minimum 2) progress around the game board while answering various Simpsons trivia challenges until someone ends up in the winner circle. The game comes with a foldable game board, 4 player tokens (in the shape of Simpsons icons: the TV, the power plant, the 3-eyed fish, and a Slushie cup), two dice (1 typical 6-sided, 1 8-sided to draw a category), a big box of trivia cards, a small stack of "Buzz" cards, and a game dvd.

The way it works is this: players roll both dice to start their turn. Players move the number of spaces from the 6-sided dice and attempt the challenge indicated from the 8-sided dice. Two types of challenges are from the dvd, where either you or everyone (depending on the die roll) have to answer a trivia question from a variety of challenges before time runs out. Three other challenges come from the trivia cards, where one player reads the question to another player who has to answer before 30 seconds is up. Rolling a "Buzz" card means one must draw the card and either incur the penalty or reap the reward, depending on the card, similar to "Chance" cards in Monopoly. There is also a players choice on the 8-sided dice where the player may choose any challenge they please.

To make a long story short, this dvd/board game is a LOT of fun for anyone who fancies themselves a Simpsons trivia buff and enjoys a casual board game. The game is quick to learn and to start. There are enough challenges and questions to keep the game fresh and not repeat questions. It's fun with as little as two players and up to four. You are at liberty to adjust a few rules to your liking and still not ruin the game play, particularly to make shorter or longer games.

Finally, I must add one word of caution: THIS GAME IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR SIMPSONS FANS! If you never watch The Simpsons, this game is not for you. If you watch it every now and again when you happen to catch it on TV, this game is not for you. If you used to watch the show but haven't in a long time, it's not for you. This game is for die-hard fans who watch the show religiously, own the dvd sets, consistently recall the show, the jokes, and the quotes to themselves on almost a daily basis. If you LOVE LOVE LOVE The Simpsons and enjoy casual board games, you will really enjoy this game. You'll be pleased at the trivia you do recall while playing, and kicking yourself in the butt for not remembering things you thought you knew. This is a Simpsons game where you will feel very immersed in the Simpsons world and enjoy being there the whole time. If you are only a casual fan of The Simpsons, this game will be wasted on you.』

(Best. Scene It. Ever)
『As I've seen "Scene It?"s made for Seinfeld and Harry Potter, I always wondered how there couldn't be Scene It? for the Simpsons. So I just about crapped myself when I saw this on Amazon. I should also include that the one amazon sells is the Deluxe Edition and stores mostly sell standard. They cost the same, but the Deluxe has an extra 30 trivia cards, 6 more buzz cards, and the pieces and dice are all a lot better crafted. Make sure to buy the Deluxe.

Anyways, the game is just like any other Scene It with games using sound clips (where you guess which character is talking), sketches to guess a character, scrambled images of characters and scenes, and most importantly, clips to watch where you either have to finish the line or answer a question. The amount of All Plays in the game is astounding. I've played through at least 10 full games and, while I do see repeats more and more, there are always still new questions after clips or new images unscrambling. Not to mention tons of trivia cards. The only things that are really limited are the 16 Buzz Cards (10 in the standard edition), which are like Chance cards. You won't go through 10 Buzz cards in a single game, but they get old pretty quick once you lap through them.

The difficulty has a big range from incredibly easy questions, such as: after playing a clip of Homer jumping Springfield Gorge, it asks "What Springfield landmark is Homer jumping?". Stuff that you can get without the clip or having watched the simpsons for ten years. There are also some impossible trivia questions, asking about random guest stars from season 8 that you never had any idea had a part in the Simpsons. But I did have to rate this game a 5 in educational value, since due to these kinds of questions, I now know Professor Frink's first name and what character Edward Norton played on the Simpsons.

You do, however, have to, at the bare minimum, have a working memory of character names to have a chance at winning the game. So as long as you know who Kent Brockman or Rod Flanders are, you should be fine for several of the questions. I assume most looking at this product, though, are really into the Simpsons and that shouldn't be a problem for.

I honestly have no hesitation giving this Scene It 5 stars. It is probably my favorite Simpsons toy and I have thoroughly enjoyed every time I've set it up to play. Questions are heavily weighted towards the first 10 seasons, but do occasionally have question about episodes as recent as Season 20. Even a moderate Simpsons fan can enjoy the game immensely.』

『This is a great first set. Duplo blocks are Lego's larger toddler blocks, so the smallest piece is an over-sized 2x2 block.

I would suggest buying one of the big green base plates along with this set. LEGO Large Green Building Plate (15" X 15") This set has only the one smallish green building plate to build on which limits what you can build. We had to be creative to build houses, stairs or anything requiring a large base.

Included in this set is a smallish green base, a car frame and a lego man as well as a nice variety of building blocks. The storage bin is very durable and easy for adults to open but a challenge for most toddlers. One odd thing about this set is that many of the colors are kind of muted rather than the bright, vivid colors most of us associate with a basic lego starter set--this surprised me, but didn't bother my toddler at all.

I think the base plate is supposed to work with both Duplo and standard Legos, but I'm not sure. I think Duplo blocks are supposed to connect into the standard legos, too--although I don't know many older kids that would want to do that.』

They have built me all manner of houses, trains, tracks, cars, aeroplanes and schools and even Kenya. I love their pride as they explain to me what they have built. I also love that they are able to play together quietly for more than 5 minutes with this toy. The box makes storage and clean up time easier. I wish that there were more bricks and more wheels and a bigger base plate but the real beauty of this toy is that you can add to it to suit your needs.』

『I bought this toy as a prop for a play I was directing. It served its role well and my own children found it quite entertaining.』

(Too Real! 3&4 Year Olds Love it! Inspiration for Zhu Zhu Pet)
『My Great Gran gave my daughter (almost 3) and my niece (4) these hamsters in August 2008. At first, we thought it was a cat toy. She is 91 after all. Turned out to be great fun for my daughter and niece. Felt real and looked real. Quite cuddly for a small robotic. As another reviewer said, it works best outside the ball on a hard surface, but the ball is great on carpet. The girls played with them consistently for over 7 months. My daughter's disappeared, but she still asks about it. It helped spark her curiosity about other animals. She wanted to know all about hamsters. She'd pretend to feed him and even tried putting him on a ribbon leash. Definitely a good buy. Just don't forget to put him away at night. It's so realistic that stepping on him in the middle of the night might scare the pants off you!』

(Daughter loves it, but it sucked up her hair!)
『My daughter loves hamsters, so I bought her this for Christmas... then she managed to see the box early and squealed, "Hamster!" How could I deny her? So, fine, she got the darn thing early, and she loved it. It went scuttling around the floor in its ball, then she took it out and it scuttled around some more. BUT... when she held it up to get a good look at it, her hair got stuck in the wheels, and the wheels kept going! Her hair got wrapped around and around the wheel, and it seems there was no automatic shut-off for something like this-- there should definitely be some kind of sensor to automatically shut off this toy if something is stuck in its wheels.

So I had a crying, screaming child while I ran over to shut off the toy and unwind her hair from its wheels. You might chalk this up to a freak accident, but considering we've owned the toy for less than 24 hours, I'm afraid that similar events are on our horizon. I think I may force her to keep it inside the ball.

(Update a week later): Funny thing about this: I knew nothing about Zhu Zhu Pets when I bought this. Only after I saw how much she liked this did I go online looking for other toy hamsters, because when I asked what she wanted for Christmas, she said, "Another hamster." I had no idea about the Zhu Zhu craze! This toy is not a Zhu Zhu (someone asked me that in the comments, so I'll put it out here)-- it doesn't make sounds or change directions or any of the additional things they do. But for what it is, it's cute, and a good price. Using only one battery is a nice benefit, too.』

『These are about the size of a real hamster and it reminds me of the ones we used to have by the way they change direction in the ball when they run into something. But they are not real enough looking for anyone to freak out about a mouse in the house...probably.

Mine is completely medium-brown except for the pink felt ears.

Batteries: Just needs one AAA which is a big improvement from other toy hamsters. Don't be afraid to give the battery container a good pull when installing- it's attached to the inside with velcro. (I thought I broke it for a second.)』

『We received this tea set as a gift for my daughter's 1st birthday. The set is made from recycled milk jugs, the box is recycled cardboard with no plastic. The tea set itself is extremely durable, much more so than the same priced ones made in China you'd find at any superstore. My daughter plays with it daily, it sparks her imagination and creativity and I don't have to worry about her chewing on it or drinking out of it as the plastic is safe. I plan on shopping Green Toys again for our home and as gifts for others. Highly recommend it!』

『After some research into good baby toys, we purchased Jacques the Peacock for our 2-month-old. He loved just looking at Jacques. Now that he's older, he's enjoying playing with him too. The bright colors have kept him fascinated and entertained for hours. We highly recommend adding this toy to the toy chest.』

『I found myself short on the minimum for free shipping on some baby items on my (then) about-to-be-born son. This popped up as the #1 item for baby toys under $15. I could not believe there were so many positive reviews. Why would so many people be that excited by this little guy? It was colorful, and "Jacques Peacock" kind of rolls off the tongue, but c'mon.

Well, the simplest toys are often the best, and this is one of those. When Dimitri was first home, we turned it around so he could see the black and white patterns on the back. His eyes focused and it help his attention for at least 30 seconds every time (if you haven't had a newborn yet, just know this is impressive). Now that he's two months, he loves seeing it come out of the diaper bag. If I hold it up and let it "fly" he tracks it with his eyes and head. He loves the colors, the face and the crinkly noises. If I want a few minutes break, when I set it in reach he'll self-entertain -- talking, laughing, swatting at it. In fact, last night we propped it in his car seat and he played while we ate a peaceful meal. In a restaurant. So yeah, the reviews are that good for a reason.』

『I bought this for my daughter when she was just two weeks old because she was mesmerized by black and white patterns, and this guy has several different b&w designs on the back of his "feathers." She loved to stare at them, and would often focus on his bright red bottom. I loved that the link would clip onto her baby gym so that we could dangle him above her. Then, once her color vision improved, she was fascinated by the bright colors on the front side of Jacques' feathers and began to reach for him and swat at him.

Now that she's four months old, she really likes the different fabric textures, and enjoys grabbing at the feathers and touching them. The link is still really useful, because it allows us to clip him to her carrier or diaper bag. That way, he's always handy, but can't get lost like a few other unfortunate (and missed!) toys have.

Overall, Jacques has held up well as my daughter has grown from a tiny newborn to a curious infant. I'm really pleased that she continues to find new ways to play with him.』

A Trip to Springfield, Trivia Style
From the game pieces to the trivia cards, every aspect of Scene It? has been infused with the charm and humor of The Simpsons. The game begins with players choosing one of four collectible tokens to represent their team. Sculpted out of metal, these tokens have been modeled after some of the show's most recognizable icons: the family TV, the Springfield power plant, the three-eyed fish, and a slushie cup. The game board is collapsible and features two sizes, giving you the option of playing a 15-minute quick game or a 40-minute extended game.

Teams advance around the board by answering two types of questions: traditional trivia cards and DVD-based puzzles. The trivia cards, which resemble what you might find in Trivial Pursuit, come in three different categories: green "general" questions, orange "song/dialogue" questions, and yellow "pop culture" questions. They vary in difficulty, and some of the tougher questions are challenging enough to stump even the most fervent Simpsons fans.

The main attraction, however, is the interactive DVD. Featuring hundreds of video clips, sound bites, and images from the show, the DVD challenges players to solve brain-teasing Simpsons puzzles. With a variety of different puzzle categories, the DVD puts your knowledge of The Simpsons to the test. Categories include "Krusty's Cartoon Cut 'Em Ups," where players must identify a character based on a distorted image, and "Blank-Diddly Blank," which challenges players to decode clever wordplay.

『My sister gave this truck to my son for Christmas when he was a year old and under the recommended age group. She said, "Promise me you'll let him play with is present, it's safe", so of course I was worried, not knowing what it was at the time. After he opened it (with help, natch), it became his favorite toy and still is. He's four and a half years old now, and this fantastic truck is still going. It's been everywhere with us - the park, the beach, camping, run over ramps and down hills, through grass, in the street...you name it. Barely a scratch. It is a big truck, but there really is very little a child could do to hurt themselves, no small parts either. My son has never hurt himself on it or pinched even one finger.

I would highly reccomend this truck to any Tonka lover or truck lover. It is the best, most durable, and fantastic gift a little boy could get.』

『This is one of the best toys I have ever bought my son. It is very heavy duty for a rough and tumble two year old. We bought it for him when he was about 18 months old. For the first year we kept it inside and he'd haul his little cars or toys around in it. This past summer I let him take it outside and he'd load landscaping rocks/gravel and various other outdoor paraphernalia in it. We even threw it in the back of our pick up and took it camping with us. We camped next to a stream where he put muddy rocks and sticks and whatever else he could find in it. Brought it home, hosed it out in the driveway and it was good as new again. Best boy toy ever!』

『I have 2 six 1/2 year old boys that are usually a 2 man wrecking crew. They can't wreck this! They got one of these when they were 2, and it caused so many fights because it was "the best one", that i bought another. It is 4+ years later and most of their outside toys have been kicked to the curb, but these are still played with and still loved.
