This was a fast, and perfect condition item, that came very quickly. I would recommend buying this product as so many stores no longer carry the Ganz Webkinz. My children are serious collectors, and it is very hard for them to find that Webkinz world says new animals are available, and we can not find them The sites with free shipping, make it just as affordable ordering online, as driving to different stores, only to find they do not have the Webkinz they want. Paying shipping charges is still a better option sometimes, now with the price of gas. We always want the newest ones available, and so far Amazon has delivered with great pricing.

This was a great purchase. I bought it for my 5-year old but ended up buying another for my 3-year old because she wanted her own. Every night at bed time we go down the list of "responsibilities" we've assiged each and decide who gets a magnet for each. There are plenty of great pre-printed responsibilities for all ages -- the 3-year old has "no whining", "brush teeth", "pick up toys", "take a bath." Older kids can have "help with outdoor chores" or "load the dishwasher". There's also two blank write-in ones (we wrote "eat well" because my kids are such bad eaters). It's made doing "chores" much easier and I hate to admit it, but when they don't comply I can threaten with "you're not going to get a magnet..." which always brings them around.
My three youngest kids are a 7 yr old boy and 5 yr old twin girls and this responsibility chart is almost as good as having supernanny come in my house and "fix" us. The kids love it! I give them a little reward everyday they complete their daily tasks like an extra dessert or treat of some kind, at the end of the week they get to pick out a new toy from the "treasure chest" if they complete all their responsibilities. The kids school have similar things they use, so it helps keeping everything familiar be it at school or at home. There are so many different responsibilities to pick from on this chart it's easy to use "age appropriate" ones for different age kids, or to keep using it as they get older. Next on my list is the calendar!
My kids look forward to doing their charts at the end of the day. They can select which jobs they want to focus on for the upcoming week. They decide how well they performed their jobs and then receive their allowance accordingly! The charts are colorful, flexible, and fun for the kids to use. This beats pencil and paper, or wipe off charts that we had been using.
I'm trying to get my five-year-old prepared for starting Kindergarten and learning responsibility. This does the trick!
My six year-old now looks forward to doing his daily duties and takes pride at seeing what he has accomplished at the end of the day. My wife and I are happy not to have to hound him to do these chores anymore. Great product.

There was an article about this toy before it came out in Wired Magazine. It basically interviewed the inventor and peaked my curiosity. So I purchased it. It is an impressive device by any modern day standards. Basically it's a camera that recognizes words and images on specialized paper (the limited series of books that you purchase). Once recognized it plays sound bites or reads the word(s) on the page that you are passing the pen over. It's smartly designed and a child quickly understands how to operate it.

At first it's a game and your child will just want to click on everything to hear the sound bites. As time goes by they start exploring the less than obvious features like read back and games. Before you know it you have a totally transfixed kid. It's great for a long drive and it certainly beats the pants off a dvd. I do believe that this device is positively contributing to my child's learning. I will say that the books vary in quality. I am writing reviews on most of them ; ) so you can follow along if you wish. To start with get Sponge Bob as it is the best of the bunch followed by Kung Fu Panda or Cars.

Last thought if you're still with me. This is a wonderful invention. I do recommend it especially for parent's that are looking for an alternative to TV. I just wish to caution that it is not a substitute for quality reading time with your child so make sure to read to them as well. Overall a great investment.

I bought this for my three year old son for his birthday and he's having so much fun with it. I know it says 4-8 on most of the books and pen, but he's enjoying it and it's working out great. I love the software you use to track their progress, it helps so much. The only downfall of the pen, or at least I haven't found a way around it, is it's only for one child, so we will be buying another one for my older son for his birthday.
My nonverbal autistic son loves all things Leapfrog and loves story readers. Leapfrog has combined the best of two worlds with the story reader component along with interactive features. I was worried the tip would be delicate and he would break it but no problems so far. The download is very user friendly, the only drawback is only being able to load 5 products at a time so if you have more than that you have to delete and reload but this isn't a huge deal. The positive feedback for the game features is a very nice touch - not only praise for correct answers, but hints to encourage success and promote self esteem instead of "no, that's wrong" or some other negative statement like many toys. Would highly recommend this product for both fun and education.
I bought this for my five year old daughter. She loves the toy! It reads the storys well and the games are fun. The only problem we have with it is when we downloaded the software from the internet the server was busy and kept cutting us off and starting over. There is a FAQ on there that has an alternative download if you are having problems. After we found this everything else worked flawlessly! I wish you could put more books on there!
The LeapFrog® Tag Reading System does what it says, it gives your child a hand held tutor for reading a Tag book. The "read the entire page" function is helpful when the child does not want to read the book, but only hear the story. Initially I thought that this feature was defeating the purpose of getting my child to read the book, but I discovered later that it actually increased his enthusiasm to try to read it by himself. I did find though, that the word games provided the most interactive experience for him. He liked the story comprehension challenges that the game questions posed.

In short, he memorized all of the words of all the three books I bought him. At first I thought this practice defeated the purpose of teaching him how to decode words, but after placing him in a summer reading program, I was informed that word memorization was actually the preferred method of sentence decoding. After trying to explain the rules of phonics and vowel usage for words like "rough", "tough", "brought", "know" and "said"...I surrendered to the word memorization method. It seems to be working for him, but occasionally he does go back to word decoding by way of phonics.

I turn this one every night when I put my son to bed. He has been using it since he was 4 months old. It helps to block out background noise. It has worked wonderfully for us!
I bought this for my daughter when she was about 5 or 6 weeks old. she is now almost 3 months old and we still use it every night! I turn it on when she goes to bed at night and i will also turn it on if she starts to wake up in the middle of the night (she usually sleeps through the night now) We really like the heartbeat, rain, and beach sounds. I dont play the whale sounds, it just seems like a more annoying sound. I love that it stays on for 45 minutes- more than enough time to help her fall asleep!
This is a great product. The repeative sounds are soothing and it works great to calm a cranky baby. It is also helpful at nap and bedtime.
We purchased this for our daughter as an infant and she has always loved the sheep and the sounds have often helped her get to sleep. Now that she is older we've removed the sound unit, but she still likes to cuddle with the sheep. It's a great gift, and we've sent it for other newborns and each parent has told us how adorable and helpful it has been.
I ordered the sleep sheep to help my 3 month old son relax and fall asleep. The sheep is really soft and cute, and I like that you can set it to play the sounds for 23 or 45 minutes, and then it shuts off for you. So far, my baby really only likes the ocean sounds; the heartbeat, rain and whale sounds don't have any effect on him. The rain sound is kind of disappointing- it sounds a little fuzzy and staticky. And the whale sounds are really wierd- I never use that one at all. Overall, I'm still glad I bought it but it doesn't always work for my baby...

I got this for my son for his first birthday and he loves it! Before we even had it assembled, he was playing with the handlebar. It moves easily, but not to the point where he falls off. It is still a little difficult for him to rotate on it,he is not quite tall enough, but at 12 months he has a lot of time to grow into it. We are very pleased with "our" new toy.
Kids love it. Both of them want to play it all the time...Everytime I have to ask them to take turns. They have lots of fun. The design is so adorable!
I acquired this toy used for my 6 month old. The zebra reacts to motion so he likes to lay on the floor and kick it, making the music and lights go! He also is just starting to crawl and this is one thing he wants to try to climb on that I don't have to shooo him off! The handles go all the way down so he reaches up from laying down and pulls himself up to a seated position where he can bat at it some more (making the music and lights go). Obviously, he cannot sit on the toy but at this point he really doesn't care about that!

I would recommend this toy even for a younger child who likes to climb on things.
I bought this for my Grand daughter EmmaClaire's 1rst birthday. She absolutely loves it. She can climb on and off it without any problem and plays with it off and on all day. Now her favorite thing is to take a magazine on it with her and she sits and bounces while reading a magazine. So advanced!!! I would highly recommend it.

Great addition to the Little Tykes 'bouncy house' that we purchased. Adds some creativity to all that jumping and bouncing.
I read the reviews and I still purchased these balls, so it is my own fault. I figured, "they are cheap plastic balls, how bad can they be?" Well, after paying more for shipping that the actual balls cost, they came with at least HALF of them already dented. I knew my son and his friends would do some damage, but I thought that at least they would come in decent condition. I am going to go to the store and by some different ones there since these don't look like they are going to last too long
Pretty much your standard ball pit balls, but sturdy enough to resist kid crushing... at least for a while! The colors are just as bright and playful as they look in the picture too :)
I used to have so much fun at McDonalds in the ball pit. Now that I'm hyperaware of germs, I thought my son could have just as much fun at home, without all the koodies. He loves them and so do I.
