Our entire family loves this basketball hoop. It was a Father's Day gift for my husband from our children and they have enjoyed shooting hoops together. The height is easily adjustable making it a great toy for all our kids. I bought this item for my son who is almost 2 and he loves it! The only things I don't like about it is that its awful flimsy..and the net kept falling off the rim to where I had to tape it somewhat. I think this product could have been made a little better. Other then that its great. solid little basketball set for toddler (my son is 13 months old and is just tall enough to dunk at the lowest setting). Love that it 'grows' with the kid as they lengthen. The hoop piece tends to loosen after several dunks; not sure if that's because I haven't stuffed it into the backboard with enough force. I purchased this for my grandson for his first birthday, he likes the ball so far, but he is still a bit young to actually get the ball in the hoop. His dad loves it though, so I am sure the little guy will have no problems learning from his daddy. I would definitely recommend this toy. my toddler really likes this toy ...however i had to fill the base up with water cause if you dont that thing will fall apart everytime your kid makes a basket .But now that i filled it up i see my son tilting it over so obviously it is manageable .you have a choice to fill it with sand if you choose, which in essence is probabely heavier ,so your child may or may not be able to tilt it .However consider that when you are buying it .I have to be extra careful with my toddler and his ....good luck This basketball set from Little Tikes grows as fast as toddlers by adjusting to six heights from two-and-a-half to four feet. (What fun!) (Great fun) (Cheap Fun!) (Great idea, cheap flimsy build quality) I was off to visit my sister and her kids out in San Francisco for Thanksgiving 2007. I wanted to take the kids (4 of them ranging from 2-6 yrs old.) something fun to play with. We had an absolute "blast" with it. I would definately recommend buying extra rockets as they tend to get stuck in trees, on roofs,&go over neighbor's fences. It takes lots of abuse but keeps on sending rockets soaring. The rockets are a little fragile - if they get stepped on, they may break and not work properly. Overall, the best money spend on a toy in ages! Highly recommended. This toy is great. My 6yr old and 3 yr old love it! Every kid that comes over plays with it as well. We play with it outside since it goes so high (I don't want to mark up my ceilings). We have gotten a rocket caught in a tree, but that's half of the fun! We have really enjoyed this rocket. It's great that it comes with four rockets. The rockets seem like they could be broken easy, but so far they have held up great to my 4 boys playing with it. It is definately a fun toy. It's easy for my 2 year old to launch the rocket and still fun for my 10 year old. My 4 year old son loves this and although he wouldn't admit it so does my 14 year old :o) It is a cheap toy but so far it's held up remarkably well. My only con is that the darn things keep getting stuck high in our tree. We've lost 2 already so be warry if you have a small backyard...these suckers can go really high and can be carried by the wind! Refills are easily found though. Well, I just took my boys to the park with this and they had a lot of fun. There's something strangely satisfying about stomping on something to launch a rocket perhaps more than 100 feet in the air. Unless you live in a rural area I'd recommend taking it to the local park when the soccer or baseball diamonds are not in use. Unfortunately, the toy had only been used once before and we already had a rocket that had fins broken off, leaving sharp shards of plastic that my wife cut her finger on. Everything about this toy is about as cheaply constructed as possible, but I suppose the good news is that for the price it's possible to just keep buying them and throwing the broken ones in the landfill. (Intex 2500 gph filter pump) (2500 gph pump is great) (Not a toy - pool accessory) We recently purchased an 18' x 4' circular Intex above-ground pool set that came with a woefully inadequate 1500 gph filter pump. It could barely manage to keep the skimmer running for an hour before the type "A" filter got too clogged, and the water was continually cloudy. So, we decided to upgrade to the 2500 gph pump. This pump works great for our ~7500 gallon pool. It takes type "B" filters, which we only need to rinse off once a day. Our pool water really is "Krystal Klear"! We run the skimmer all night long, and the skimmer grabs all the bugs and leaves that inevitably fall into our pool overnight. The vacuum has plenty of "oomph" with this pump. It's even less noisy than the 1500 gph pump we started with. Tips: 1) Vent the air out of the pump any time you start it up, or if you hear it get noisy (which can happen sometimes when starting the skimmer). If there is a lot of air trapped in the pump, it will not work well. The pump needs to be off when you vent it. "Pro tip": Just barely open the air-release valves when venting! (Trust me on this one!) 2) Rinse off your filter regularly. Once a day works well for us, but this will vary. This pump can push a *lot* of water through the filter, so if your pool is really dirty it can clog the filter quickly! You will know when the filter needs rinsing because the output pressure will drop off noticeably. 3) This pump has some serious suction! You'll probably want to turn it off when people--especially kids--are in the pool, just to be safe. I bought this to replace my 1500 GPH filter that came with my 18x4' ez-set pool. It seems now that the additional functions (skimmer and vaccum) I performed with my older, less powerful filter, seem to be less effective since my upgrade. Let me explain. Of course....the basic function of the intake/outtake through the filter via the two side pool outlets performs much more efficiently. You can actually "see" the water moving. My problem now is when I hook up the surface skimmer. The suction of the pump grasping to intake water literally moves the skimmer to the surface of the pool...and it starts intaking air which could damage the pump. I've tried to close the clamp which attaches to the "ring" of the pool to the narrowist setting....but still....in the evening when the cooler air retracts the girth of the pool ring...I have the same problem. My only alternative at this point is to tie a weight to the skimmer to prevent this from happening...as I don't want to worry what time of day it is to use the skimmer. Another problem is the vaccum attachment. The suction is so strong the the very narrow distance from the attachment to the bottom of the pool is not wide enough to get enough water in...and the intake hose to the filter starts to collapse....which could also damage the filter. Not sure if the larger sized pools that have this filer standard have different skimmer and vaccum attachments which accomodates the larger volume of flow. If anyone has any suggestions....feel free to leave a comment. At this point I'm going to call Intex for advice. Like I said.....for the basic outlet/inlet hook-up to filter the water....this does the job. I'll leave updates when I contact Intex. Intex 2500 gph filter pump This product made my summer! Last summer I purchase the Intex 12X24 oval easy pool. The 1500 gph filter pump was not sufficient enough for the pool size. I was forever outside cleaning the pool. The 2500 gph filter pump is a must for this pool size and larger. I do not know why Intex uses the 1500 gph filter/pump with this product. By simply changing the filter/pump I have learned to love my pool! We have an Easy Set 18' x 4' pool. This is its second season. The original 1500 gph pump worked only intermittently this season, so I decided to replace it with a 2500gph pump. Wow, this pump really moves the water. It actually starts to collapse the hoses when you vacuum too. It's definately an improvement over the 1500gph pump. I just hope it lasts longer than the other pump. This is a great, strong replacement pump for an above ground pool. NOTE that as a replacement, it does not come with the necessary conversion fittings for a smaller pool. I called the vendor, who was awesome in getting me set up with the right parts at a fair price. The flow rate for this pump is 2500 gallon per hour. It fits 18 and 24 diameter Intex frame set pools and easy set pools and also fits all filter pumps and above ground pools that use 1.50" hoses with clamps or screw on type Intex hoses. The valve should be released for trapped air. The mounted waterproof on and off switch and it is easy to install, where you simply hook up hoses and plug it in. However, it isn't perfect. 1) It uses batteries, and that's fine. However, it will only spin up the motor for about four pitches before it spins down. This preserves battery life (you need time to collect balls, reload) but doesn't work if you have a bucket of plastic balls. You need to keep pressing the start button. I'll be converting this to AC power at some point and overriding the timeout. 2) It ships with really nice soft balls, which are useless in reality because you will lose them. Better to go to a local store and buy an eight-pack of cheap plastic practice balls. I can get them for two bucks and buy a few packs, load up the machine, and go. If they get lost, so what? I have twenty-four of them. 3) The tee breaks away, which is probably good for now but eventually will no longer stay attached. The tip should flex more so it won't break away. Duct tape can help me here. 4) It lacks a guide to force it along a path, so lighter balls can sometimes fly out high. It was probably designed for the pillow-balls that shipped, but a guide would keep the path predictable. Ultimately, how did my boy like it? My son loves it. I've been pitching to him for a year or so now, and now his mom can finally get the pitches right where they need to be without figuring out his strike zone. The neighborhood kids all give it a thumbs-up, too, so that's ten "yes" votes right there. -C This product is fun for the entire family. My son can use the T-ball set-up and my daughter can use the pitch option. We have had a blast using it. Our kids would have us pitch to them all day if we would let them - this product makes us all happy. I bought this for my 4 year old son - who loves it - but surprisingly my 9 year old daughter does poorly in gym fights with her brother to play with it - and she hit a ball over the 6' fence in our yard - out to the street - maybe her gym grade will go up. I was excited about this toy for my grandson's 5th birthday and was not disappointed! It is easy to use,easy to store and my grandson his improving his skills. He even discovered that not only could he hit the ball from the 3 positions but he could also use it to shoot balls to himself to practice catching. Great toy; great value! I was concerned that it might be too advanced for a 5 year old but my concerns were unwarranted! This is a 5 star toy. In response to the person who wondered how this toy would hold up if used outdoors, I can tell you that we used ours all last summer, then left it outside through a New England winter, and it still works perfectly. In fact, even the batteries still worked from last year! It goes without saying that as my little ones learn to hit, they spend a lot of time whacking the machine, instead of the ball. Both the bat and the base have held up great. The 3 different options are great for my 4,3,and 2 year olds' different abilities. We couldn't be happier with this toy (except that it DOES need to come with more balls, since our 2 retrievers are certain this toy is for their entertainment!) Learn to hit like a pro. Once a kid has surpassed the skill level engendered by the toy, the toy is pretty much useless, offering no further challenge to the burgeoning athlete. The Grow To Pro series, on the other hand, evolves with the kid presenting increasing challenges along the way. In this three level baseball training set, young kids can practice first hitting the ball off of a tee to build fundamental coordination skills. Then on the "rookie" level, the ball pops up from ground level as kids practice smacking the ball out of the air. Finally, the "pro" level is a pitching machine, lobbing the ball without a prohibitive amount of velocity, to the batter standing up to ten feet away. Apparently, Amazon takes apart the puzzle bundle so I only received one of the puzzles. I returned it and they replaced it only with the same issue, just one puzzle. I followed up with customer service and they got back to me saying they no longer have a puzzle bundle that hasn't been separated. Maybe they will eventually refill their stock, but until then don't waste your time. I'm surprised they are still selling the items. Amazon is usually pretty responsible. These are great puzzles. It makes my 2 year old really think about what animal bottoms go with what animal tops, because some of the animals are similar colors. They also don't have pictures on the bottom on the board when you take the piece out making it more difficult. We talk about the animals, do the animal sounds...talk about the cars and who drives them. Sometimes we switch the pieces for fun. Very happy with this toy! Great toy for a two year old! (probably too difficult for younger babies) We love Melissa and Doug products in our house. This puzzle set was ok. I like the different items on the puzzle. It let's you talk about different cars, animals, etc... It is a challenge to find the right piece to go with each "set" because they are the same shape so you have to match by color, etc...but overall, I felt this puzzle was ok.
