One thing I note is this is a very light model, I would almost say flimsy. It has very few Lego/Technic pieces, with a huge percent of of the 216 piece count is the individual pieces of tread. There really wasn't that much to build. It also doesn't lend itself to piece scavenging as much of some of the other kits do, e.g. there are no wing pieces.
That said your Star Wars obsessed Lego fan will think its great. Even if you might think its not the best value kit out there.』

Since everything is pretty much in the open, "cheating" doesn't really exist, and it's loads of fun to argue over which word should be the best match. It's also offers insight into how your youngins' think. For example, my 6 year old, acting as a dealer, gave us a card of "Fragile." We played the cards "Brains," "Plates," and "Alaska." Now, I think Alaska was a great answer, but my son picked Plates.
There is no mean-spiritedness in the game at all.』

Fisher Price makes TOYS after all and not high end electronics!! Her pictures are fun to look at, but really, I'm not printing off pictures of her toys or the dog's tail. Resolution really doesn't matter that much. The point is... she can take pictures of whatever she wants. She's usually satisfied looking at the display screen and could care less about paper photos. In a few years, she'll be ready for the real thing, but for now, this is a fun toy.
This one does live up to its name. It has been dropped, put through the ringer, and it still works. My only gripe is the batteries. When you take a bunch of pictures, scroll through them, delete and retake pictures, (like a typical preschooler would do) it eats batteries. And get this, you can't use rechargeable batteries with it! I don't know what genius at FP designed a toy that can't use rechargeable batteries, but I'd like to give him a piece of my mind. I would have scored this camera lower just for the battery issue, except that my child really does love this toy.』

I have the blue, will be getting pink for xmas to stop the fighting. The frustration free package is great...and is a good box for storing extras in.』
(Don't buy this camera) 『We bought a kid tough camera last christmas for our daughter. She had a great time with it for about 2 hours. It took some very low quality images (worse than a cell phone), but hey, she was having a blast. Unfortunately, working for a these two hours, the camera could never turned on again. I read on the internet that this was a common problem. We returned the camera and exchanged it for a new one. This second camera lasted for about a day before it too stopped working. One of kid tough's selling point is that it is supposed to be kid tough. Kids are not supposed to be able to break it. For the price, you can get a real camera that will take much, much better pictures. Even if with small kids, I doubt that most cameras would break as quickly as these "tough" cameras did. Plus, you wont' have to figure out a story to explain why Santa's workshop produces such poor quality toys that just stop working for no reason (nor how Santa's return policy works).』

We thought this game would help him to catch up on where he is behind - and it did. After 4 months of playing this game only he is able to talk a lot better and his teachers at school told us they see a remarkable difference in his starter spelling and his speech. This game helped my child be less frustrated - because we used to not be able to understand him - his beginning speech sounds were so bad. The level of the child I think is dependant on whether this game works or not. Besides it is not so expensive I would say don't waste your money. (Swiper NOOOOOOOO swiping!) 『I'm breaking out of my comfort zone here (I usually ONLY review books, movies and music) to review a toy I recently purchased for my daughter (this is the fifth of 5 reviews). My daughter (who is 2) is IN LOVE with Dora and Diego. She already has a few Dora dolls (not to mention a bedspread) but I just couldn't resist these little Ty dolls.
I actually really like the size. She can stuff all five of her dolls in her Dora Backpack and take them around the house with her. She loves to take Swiper to bed with her (I don't advise young ones sleeping with Dora or Diego, beings that their hair is a bit of a choking hazard). IN FACT, Swiper is the reason I bought these dolls. For some reason (don't ask me) Swiper is her favorite character on the show. She is constantly talking about him, getting all excited when he shows up on the cartoon, and when I told her that I ordered her one she kept telling me "Swiper neeky box (sneaky fox) coming my house!" When he finally showed up you would have sworn it was raining candy. She hasn't let him out of her sight since.
My one iffy complaint about Swiper is the tail. It's just so big and heavy and constantly falls over...but she doesn't care so I'm happy. Someone else complained that the tail came loose, which is what I fear may happen soon, but I won't balk until it does (and even then, I'm sure it's an easy fix).
Yes, I gave it only four stars on durability since the ware and tear of a toddler can do some damage. Boots already is separating at the seams on his legs, so I had to get onto my little one for pulling at his legs. No, his legs are not falling off, but I can tell that they are getting weak. So, just watch your little ones to make sure they don't `love these little guys to death'.
If your kids love Dora (and especially that neeky box Swiper) you can rest easy knowing that they will LOVE these dolls as well!
And a note to parents, these toys are NOT educational; but the show is VERY much so (my kids speaks Spanish! Like, OMG, I don't speak a word and she converses with me in Spanish at TWO YEARS OLD!!!).』

(Nice mid size shuttle...) 『The Separtist Shuttle is a nice mid-size Lego vehicle. You're 6 yr. old on up should have no trouble putting this together. It has a nice design (almost 'insectoid' in appearance) and a neat rear opening sliding door.
Pro's-Ship design, opening front cockpit with a blue bodied Battle Droid pilot, retractable front and rear landing gear, a clever technic system that opens a sliding rear door to reveal a small chamber which holds a Nute Gunray mini figure which can be slide out. Also comes with 2 regular Battle Droids and an Onaconda Farr mini-figure(nice head sculpt of Greedo). Also of note is that I like how Lego designed the rear tail fin to be hollow so as the attenae on the front opening cockpit won't interfere with opening and closing.
Cons's-Really none except that the cockpit is quite bare. Could've used some elements of design to show working controls, lights, etc. No biggie. Anyone can modify the cockpit to add details to it.
Final note, note sure but perhaps someone can clarify...I believe the Nute Gunray and Onaconda Farr mini-figures are exclusive to this set.』

I am always looking for new dolls to make clothes for and I was bummed out that Bratz are being discontinued. So I decided to buy a Liv doll. I found the glass eyes creepy at first because they were so human-like. Now that I am used to them though, I find them simply beautiful. In fact, this has become my favorite feature of the dolls! The eyes have such depth and realism, they almost seem to follow you. Katie has very bright GREEN eyes. Kudos to the artist who designed them! The eyes are TOTALLY COOL!
The face has a lot of detail and light, subtle makeup. They look WAY more wholesome than Bratz. Liv dolls look and dress like real teen girls and each has a story and 'personality' all her own. I think this is a great quality product and I am anxious to see how well it sells. I like the fact that the doll can be posed. Even the wrists and ankles bend and it is possible (but difficult) to make the doll stand up on her own. I can see this being a real win with girls who sew clothes, take photos or make videos!
Katie comes with an extra wig, which was easy to change and attaches securely with a plastic pin in the top of the head. Katie came with a long wavy brown wig and a short brown straight one with green streaks plus a wig stand. The good thing too, the dolls don't look bald when you remove the hair, instead they have a short 'pixie' cut painted on the head itself. This eliminates the problem of little girls with scissors. For one, if they want super-short hair they can HAVE it by removing the wig. Secondly, when little ones mutilate the hair (like my sister did to MY dolls as a kid!) no problem...Parents can simply BUY another wig! They sell inexpensive packs of wigs separately in a variety of colors and styles. This is good for hobbyists because we can change hair, cut it, style it, etc. This could also be a great learning tool for girls who dream of being hairstylists...VERY COOL! My sister and I would have LOVED the wig idea as kids!
The wholesome Liv look will please the mommies but I am not sure about the kiddies. If I was a little girl, I would want more "flash" and maybe some pretty dresses, gowns etc. Liv dolls are dressed in "normal" everyday clothes like hoodies, jogging suits, leggings etc. I truly believe it is possible to make tasteful and glamorous doll costumes that are age appropriate too! I know this is a new line of dolls but I was a little disappointed with the lack of originality regarding clothing. Even the extra fashion packs didn't seem to have anything outstanding, just more "normal" clothing, nothing fancy.
I logged onto the website and was unimpressed. Girls today are smart and internet savvy. I can see how they might get bored on the website. You quickly run out of fun activities and you have to BUY each doll in order to get the access code to her story. Katie's story was not very detailed and there aren't many pictures and only a few 'diary' entries. I think the site could be a little more interactive. Simply put, there isn't enough stuff on the website! They need more games, updates and activities to keep girls of today interested!
I do think that the doll's beauty and squeaky clean image will make it a big hit this Christmas. The Liv line needs some work but I think if sales are good, we can look forward to more Liv products. I personally would LOVE to see some Liv houses, horses, cars and prom dresses etc...as well as a better site! I commend this company for their commitment toward wholesome 'sweet' looking dolls. I think it is a welcome change in the doll world and I think moms will agree.
I am very happy with the Katie doll and I am looking forward to giving her a makeover! I do hope Liv dolls sell well. This company has a great start and great potential. In spite of the boring clothing and ho-hum website, I don't have the heart to take a star away from them. The doll itself is so beautiful and being that I sew doll clothing, I would change the clothing anyway so it doesn't make a difference to me!

(Move over Barbie, here comes a trendy more realistic alternative for girls) 『My daughter received this for her 7th birthday. She was really wanting these dolls badly and was not disappointed at all at. She played with it non-stop.
There seems to be a million strings and things to cut your way through to free the doll from her package, so a need to be patient. The doll it really very pretty. Very lifelike inserted eyes instead of painted on eyes, they really add a nice touch of realism, and are very well done. The wigs, my daughters main desire to play with really are also nice and I was surprised. The hair is very soft and silky. I like that all extra wigs come with a "wig head" to store them on, an when not in use, also useful for combing them out. You will probably need to trim them after your brush them to cleam up some rogue long pieces. It is also very apparent they were cut with a machine, The straight wigs particularly are choppy and even a bit jagged looking, but not something my daughter noticed at all. At first it seemed a bit difficult to change wigs, there is a hole in the doll's head and a plastic peg in the wig. Then the directions point out you can push your fingers on the wig to pop the wig a bit inside out to easily insert the wig on the doll's head. My Daughter has not needed any help changing the wigs or clothing. The joints in this doll are pretty wild!! this doll has knee-caps, and rotating wrists and ankles. Very impressive how lifelike you can make movements!! I think that is my biggest concern, how durable are they. My daughter always has played very respectfully with her dolls so I am not as much worried about her breaking it as I am friends who can get a little over-enthusiastic. SO far I can't really see any problems.
