(A Gift for My Niece)
『I bought this book along with the tag reader as a gift. My 4 year old niece loves the book and so do her siblings.』

『I spent a number of hours -- yes hours -- with my 5 year-old son finding things hidden in the pictures throughout these pages, and had some good laughs doing so. I generally like the Tag reading system, and this book is one of my favorites. I truly enjoy spending this kind of quality time with my children, and with something that is educational as well as fun.』

『We got this for our two year old, but he really isn't into it. My six year old is learning how to tell time though and it's definitely helpful for that. However the product itself is great for shapes and it is made extremely well. I would recommend it!』

『When she was 1, my daughter just liked turning it over, watching the pieces scatter, then collecting them in a little bag. By 16 months, she was beginning to start fitting the pieces back in. At two, she's naming the pieces by shape and by number. Pretty soon, we'll start talking about how to tell time. Very long life; a great value. Some of the pieces are beginning to show a little wear around the edges, but I wouldn't consider that a detractor on a solid wooden toy.』

We all know that Red, Blue, Green are the primary colors. How can a learning game get it all wrong, and that too from Leapfrog which claims emphasis on learning. I cant believe they are getting away with teaching wrong concepts. very disappointed.』

『Well- I read the reviews and almost skipped on this one, as my son is easily frustrated, but I am glad I didn't. The parents who could not satisfy Mr. Pencil's perfectionism were just doing things in adult-style... writing the letter he asked them to. That is NOT how it works. You must follow each step. For instance... if he shows you how to draw a three and you draw it in one shot... well, that will be considered incorrect. You must make the top curve and stop and then make the bottom curve to complete it as instructed. So if you can already make letters, it will be frustrating. If you are willing to follow the instructions you will find it far more forgiving.
There are also colors to mix and cool pictures to trace. My son simply loves it! Mr. Pencil is kind, but will stop you if you don't get it after about three tries, with a "let's try it again later." Personally, while some people like the idea of trying until they get it right, I think a break may be exactly what's required. He has yet to try all the features of the game-- and I am sure he won't like it so much when Mr. Pencil draws alongside him and the lines go across his newly drawn artwork -- but all he has done so far he is really enjoying. Practicing on the computer screen is more fun for him than doing it on paper.』

(Surprisingly fun!)
『We got this a few days ago. It's really fun! The new twists on the game like the shifting "secret passages" and doors into rooms are very cool. You can tell that a lot of thought went into adapting Clue to some of the unique features of Harry Potter's world. I was surprised at how much my computer-savvy teenager enjoyed this low-tech game. It was a nice way for us to interact. The directions are a little confusing at first; you have to read them through a couple of times. But I thought this was much more fun and interesting than what I remember of the original game of Clue from my own childhood.』

(Great for ALL ages!!)
『So, I'm a college student. I bought this game mostly because I love board games, and secondly because I love Harry Potter. Needless to say, I convinced several of my college age friends to play and we couldn't get enough!! Several of my friends aren't even Harry Potter fans, but they love the game anyway. The changing corridors as well as the ally and magic cards add a new level of difficulty and interest. These new additions keep the game interesting for hours and hours!! They make it hard to get bored!!! :) Definitely work every penny!!』

(Artistic presentation disappointing)
『It's fun to have the Harry Potter theme within the Clue game, and the house points aspect can be fun. However, the board is difficult to work with because the rooms are not distinguished by color or design. The board is a pen and ink drawing, like the Marauder's Map. While a clever idea, you have to read the room names, rather than glance at the room and know where you are. Playing at a table, I found I had to half rise from my seat every turn to read the room names. I wanted to use markers to color the game board somewhat, like a coloring book, to give the rooms a recognizable character. However the game board's shiny coating prevented the marker from absorbing so that solution was quickly abandoned.

Also, very disappointing that the weapons are just disks punched out of cardboard. In regular Clue, the charm of the miniature rope, knife, lead pipe, etc. are part of the fun. Who would want to play Monopoly, for instance, without the little hat, iron, racecar or dog? I know, it is hard to come up with a 3D version of a weapon when it is a potion or a spell, but somehow using little cardboard disks takes away from the fun of the game. It's all so two dimensional. Maybe instead they could have made the Suspects little 3D characters, so we'd have something interesting on the board. There is just no visual aspect of the board or pieces that make this game appealing. Great concept, disappointing artwork that gets in the way of the fun.』

(Hours of Enjoyment)
『I have to admit I am a huge HP fan therefore the reasoning behind the purchase of the game.
The first time the game was played I was actually only a spectator and so when I did get to play I was a bit confused the first time but I think we all were just getting used to the differences in this game compared to the original.
I have several friends whom I play board games with regularly and they not being HP fans were very skeptical about playing. I finally talked them into it and now it is one of our must play games each time we get together. We do tend to "cheat" a bit with the house points sometimes but it's all in the fun of the game.
Once you play a time or two you'll be hooked!』

(My son loves Automoblox (I do too))
『My son already has a bunch of normal-sized Automoblox cars. He plays with them every day even though he is only 20-months old and they are recommended for 3+ year olds. I find Automoblox to be high quality toys.

I purchased four MINI Automoblox cars (red coupe, blue sedan, green pickup, and green SUV) so we can take them for trips for my boy to play. My son loves MINIs too. If he plays with MINIs inside the car, it is challenging to find small wheels after he takes them off and drops them on the floor.

There are two major differences (besides the size) in MINIs compared to the full-size Automoblox that I want to mention:

1. MINIs do not come with driver and passengers
2. All four MINIs use the same type of connectors for the wooden pieces (full-size Automoblox have vehicle specific connectors that can be interchanged and add another level to the puzzle)

It seems that the quality of the MINIs is just slightly below the quality of full-sized Automoblox cars. There are some artifacts from the manufacturing process on wooden bodies of the MINIs. Nevertheless, Automoblox are great fun toys.』

『We love these little mini cars. They are small enough to fit in my 3-year old's travel backpack for the plane, they are light, they are fun. They are cheaper than the bigger ones, and the big ones aren't so good for travel. Not only did my puzzle-loving son have fun putting them together and taking them apart in various combinations, so did his much older cousins - both boys and girls. They also have excellent wheels and roll really fast on smooth surfaces. The only problem is that the little wheels come off pretty easily and we had some close calls on airplanes a couple of times.』

『these cars are so much fun that they can be seperated into pieces and put back together. they are well made and run smoothly. and the good thing I found is that each car comes with different wheels so you can actually look at the picture and try to put them back as the way it was, or NOT! it's good to test the kids' ability to see if they can tell the differences between each cars. it's like doing puzzling and lego and racing cars all at the same time. though they are small but they seem pretty durable (we only got it for about a month so far), and less pricy than the regular size ones.』

I have since been giving them to many children and they too have loved it.

They are a durable wood, which isn't easy to break. The ties come off easily and are easy to lose, but you get spare ones.』

There is a memory game, building game like Tetrus, and lots of I SPY hunts. There are 3 different games to play and once you find the treasure your child will feel so proud of themself. 『My 3yr old son was so excited to see this toy. He had been seeing it on the comercials and told me he wanted it every time. When I gave it to him yesterday he was extremely excited, so much so that he wouldn't let it go when it was time to sleep. He slept with this motorcycle all night. He expecially likes pretending he is filling it up with the gas can because it makes noises like he's really putting gas in it. It is very age appropriate and it teaches him to use his hands to fix things. Also it is colorful so if you ask your kids what color each part is you can teach them colors too.』

『Gloodoodle is an amazingly fun toy! I have 2 kids, Isabella 4 and Jackson 5 and they both love playing with Glodoodle. They love tracing each others faces through Glodoodle, drawing images or tracing pictures behind it. The toy provides hours of fun and is bright enough for them to play in the car.』

He opened his present and has been enjoying it ever since. Last night he fell asleep with it beside him and I was concerned that he would wake up with a bright green light in his face, but low and behold, it turned off on it's own. No need to buy batteries today!
I've also been enjoying it. It draws quite nicely and works well with my long, recently painted nails. Drawing with light is a magical experience.
It's great for tracing faces and pictures. Also a good travel companion for the back of the car.

『My daughter got this as a gift for her 4th birthday a few weeks ago. She loves to draw so she automatically started going crazy with this thing. Our 2 yr old boy dropped it on the tile floor and it appears to still be OK. He's tough on toys and he hasn't broken it yet. They love drawing with it with the lights off and underneath their blanket "fort". It reminds me alot of Light Bright when I was a kid.
Pros: Both Kids love that they can draw with light in the dark. It's unique and re-useable and they like that. They trace photos and pictures from books. It appears to be durable too. Auto-off feature saves on batteries.
Cons: Not many light-up colours. The drawings can't by saved or stored for later. Not enough drawing space for 2 kids. So I had to buy another one for our boy. With express shipping I'll soon have two happy kids, who will no longer be fighting over the first one.』

『My three year old chose this as her reward for earning stars a couple of weeks ago. At first I was reluctant to indulge her because my experience with these kinds of toys is that they're never as cool as they seem and they don't last very long. But she was taking forever to make up her mind, so I caved since she finally seemed so sure of her choice. I'm glad I did!

She really loves this toy, and it really is as cool as it looks on the package. The colored lines are bright and look great even in daylight. It's easy for her to switch the colors and to erase the board and it keeps her occupied for long periods of time. Even my husband and I enjoy drawing pictures for her using this toy, and she's always asking us to draw things for her so she can change the colors and add little "details."

Some of the reviews have mentioned that the erase mechanism doesn't stand up--we haven't had any issues with ours but our daughter doesn't have a very heavy hand. I can see where someone might have problems, though--the mechanism definitely isn't very sophisticated and probably isn't particularly durable. If your child has a tendency to be rough on toys this might not stand up for long, so keep that in mind before deciding whether or not to buy.

A Magic Drawing Pad
With a size comparable to a Magna-Doodle, the GloDoodle is compact and easy to transport -- ideal for a long car ride. The mechanism behind the drawing pad is simple. Its screen is a tightly-pulled plastic sheet, which indents when in is touched. When the pad’s LED light is switched on, it reflects off of these indentations and creates color. The screen is very sensitive, and even a gentle brush of the finger will show up in beautifully-colored light. The drawings also glow in the dark, allowing your child to doodle at night, too.

When they are done drawing, your kids can erase their creations with the push of the "magic erase" button. The button pulls the screen taut, erasing any indentation. It works, but it is sometimes difficult to push in all the way, so small children may have trouble erasing their pictures completely.

A Cartoon Comes to Life
With a visual style based on the show, Manny and his friends will capture kids' attention. Manny stands approximately eight inches tall, and is dressed in a bomber jacket and blue jeans. His arms, legs and head are adjustable, and he can easily be positioned to sit on his bike. Manny's two friends, Rusty and Felipe, are more than just props -- they are functional tools, which can be used to tighten the motorcycle's screws and bolts.

The bike itself has a green paint job, and many of the parts have a metallic sheen to them. Sturdy and well-constructed, the motorcycle can drive on hard surfaces like other toy vehicles. For a vehicle that is meant to be taken apart and customized, it handles very well. All of the modifiable parts can be screwed into place tightly using Felipe the Screwdriver.

Two Game Modes
Most of the action is focused around the motorcycle's two voice-instructed game modes: Fix-It Mode and Customize Mode. The games are designed to teach children the basic parts of motor vehicles. Players can install and remove a variety of parts, including the engine, the front tire, the fork, the muffler, and the seat bar. There is also a side car, where Rusty and Felipe can sit as passengers while Manny drives.

Installing parts is both intuitive and enjoyable, and gives kids a sense for how real tools function. When a child installs a part, Manny talks and identifies each part in an affable and enthusiastic voice. Also, Manny says phrases in both English and Spanish, adding an extra educational element to the toy.

Even though the toy is recommended for ages three and up, younger kids might not have the dexterity necessary to screw in some of the smaller parts by themselves. A parent may need to assist younger children at first.
