The biggest problem we have with this is finding a dark enough place for it! We ended up using one of the bathrooms. There is a tough balance to find. You need some light otherwise every shadow shows up on it, but too much light and you will see nothing. The included stencils and shaders are nice but tend to be tossed aside when the kid finds them to difficult to use properly. This may be an age thing, but then again I had a problem with them as well.
DO NOT let your child press the 'diamond' tip against the mat or it will scratch it.
Overall this thing is a lot of fun but tears up a little too easy for the unsupervised. 』

Unfortunately she would tear, shred and otherwise wreak havoc on the paper dolls and is no longer allowed to play with them. So Santa gave this to her for Christmas and it was love at first sight! She will spend hours carrying her dolls around and dressing them and playing with them. Way to go Santa - Great Job on this gift!!!!
The only caution I would offer is that the some of the magnets are small and easily swallowed. It takes some discipline to keep track of all the pieces and not leave little magnets lying around.』

Also, a few of the outfits are skimpy - very short shorts&skirts, and midriff tops. Not the kind of example I'd want to set for little girls. The unique feature is that it has compartments on the top where individual LPS figures can be placed, and of course has the LPS logo on it. My 5yo daughter was thrilled to get it and uses it every day. I purchased this online for half the price they had it at the store so I felt it was worth it. The container itself is a decent size and you can put some of the smaller LPS playsets in addition to a whole lot of LPS figures. It has a handle for carrying. It is really functional. The only negative, is that the clasp that fastens it shut comes off pretty easily if it's pulled at the wrong angle. The clasp is the kind that you pull out then up, as opposed to just pulling it directly towards you to open. My daughter has unintentionally pulled the clasp off quite a few times, it probably isn't the best type of fastener to have the littler kids, who this is directed to. Truly any plastic container can do what this does, overall though, it is a decent product and since my daughter actually puts her toys in it because it is LPS, I think it was a good purchase.』

After only a couple of weeks of playing it, she now knows most of the letters and numbers in the game. I've tried to use puzzles and books for her to learn her numbers&letters but it wasn't until we got the game that she really started to pick them up. I've made the game more fun by sticking different "treasures" in the treasure chest and sirprising her every time. After I did that a number of times, she really wanted to play with the game. It's even fun for adults...not so mind numbing like the rest of the games for 3-4 year olds.』

(lose one part and you can't play) 『We have received this game as a gift for both birthday and christmas (people LOVE IT!)Being a homeschooling mom I thought it was a great educational game idea. The first time we played we lost one of the balls, I guess they boys were having more fun bouncing them and throwing them than doing what they were meant for (at the time he was 3). We tried to substitute another type of bouncy ball thing, but it just wouldn't fit properly. We just got this for christmas, and it's already started again. This time, upon knowing that we could potentially lose the parts and not be able to play, I was meticulous about putting the game away and making sure all the pieces were there. of course even by being careful, we've misplaced the key (we now use a pen or screwdriver) one ball, and a few of the "door" cards, it's been 3 weeks and we've played it 3 times. Now with makeshift drawn door cards (the cards on the flip open doors) a screwdriver and whatever ball we can find to replace the lost one, we can maybe play the game.
PROS: fun treasure hunt idea that kids love, kids like opening the doors and hand eye is developed with the small "keyhole" and key, color and letter recognition made fun and competitive.
CONS: no replacement parts, if you lose a door card you can't play. other parts can be substituted if you're creative and you're kids don't mind not using the "Real" game pieces. treasure at the end is always the same. age range is not accurate this should be for UP TO 5 or MAYBE a 6 year old. my 8 year old niece played it once and was bored by the end.』 『3 years&up.
