(Wow..something other than burgers and sandwiches)
(Sushilicious)
(What a unique set.)
(Wooden Sushi Set) My 4 year old son got this as a gift, and he loves it! I know that it will teach him about different types and cultures of food, but for now and to put it simply... it's just fun! We make food and pretend to eat it, and he uses it for other creative ideas like making bridges. If you're looking for something different in play food, then this set is the one for you. I scoured all over and found this set for my daughter's play kitchen, since she already has plastic play food with the typical hamburgers/fries/sandwiches/fruit/veggies. It's so much more durable. My daughter cuts and serves us sushi everyday. =P My niece LOVES her sushi. So cute and believable...for a 1 year old. :) My own children enjoy playing with it as well. They are 5, 4, and 2. They love real sushi, so the fact that it came in a fake version was beyond belief for them! My daughter saw this in a toy store and instantly wanted it. She loves going to real sushi restaurants, and loves to pretend cook. I didn't buy it then, but when I came across it on Amazon I decided to get it for her. She has made me endless dinners of sushi. Very well made, velcro makes a wonderful choping sound as the sushi is cut with the knife. Very original pieces and the menu on the bottom of the box allows her to take my order, then cook my meal. Highly recommend to anyone who's daughter loves pretend cooking. My 3 year old nephew loves his wooden sushi set. He plays with it constantly and has even opened a sushi bar in his living room with the help of a card board box. He really loves being the sushi chef and serving you what he's made. It's a great toy which is made well and easy for little hands to use. It has a lot of pieces to keep a creative, active toddler busy. Sushi anyone' This slicing sushi set is a meal fit for an emperor! It comes with three types of pretend-play sushi rolls -- shrimp, tuna and salmon roe -- plus egg toppings and a few more condiment "extras." Includes chopsticks and cleaver, too. 24 pieces in all. Measures 9" x 10" x 1.5". Rerations < Melissa and Doug Wooden Sushi >

(Great concept, unfortunate execution)
(emotion saver)
(visual timer helps keep whole family on time)
(It works.) We bought this timer for our 3 year old's timeouts. It really does help him with timeout to see the lights flash to tell him when he's almost done.
But, for the price, I would have expected this to be easier to use (to use the Auto timer you have to push three buttons to start on a pre-set time) or be more flexible in programming (you cannot change the order of the lights to go from red to green instead of green to red). This product concept is great, and when I take the time to set it up, it completely solves any problems we have with transitions. My son loves it and asks for it. Unfortunately, it is a huge pain to set up. Every time you want to change the amount of time on the timer, you have to go through a painful process with lots of button pushing, because you can't set the time without setting all of the options for sound effects and lights. The buttons are hyper-sensitive so sometimes after pressing the buttons 15 times you end up with a "double-click" that you didn't intend and have to start all over. If you always use the same time (5 minutes, for example) then it's no problem. Otherwise you might consider a kitchen timer. It would be a lot easier to use. We bought this timer as a result of having serious meltdowns from our four year old. She seemed to take forever to eat her meals, clean up after herself or pretty much anything that involved her completing a small task "by herself". Thanks to this timer, those extended sessions are now a thing of the past. It is definitely not her favorite toy item, but it is a welcomed addition to our stress free days. She does everything in a more timely manner because she knows that she will loose a privilege if the light turns red on her. It worked wonders after only 1 implementation. (Use a reasonable time frame when you are programming) As long as you can read and follow directions, it is easy to operate.
I bought this after my son was identified as mildly ASD. They had been using one like it at his preschool. It has been very helpful in reducing the number of fits when it is time to stop an activity. A added benefit is that it helps the family leave for school or church on time! Pros:
It works. It has a fun look for kids. Sufficienct volume.
Cons:
Overpriced for quality of product. Lights light once and do not stay lit or flash as you would expect. Sounds sound once and do not repeat as you would expect. Not simple to use. Bulky.
I would be happy if I paid half the price because this just was not well designed. It is, however, functional and my daughter uses it and now takes shorter showers so that is something.
It's never been easier or more fun to keep kids on track with this unique lighted electronic timer. Lighted sections alert kids to time left to complete a task. You can easily program green, yellow and red sections and six sound effects to indicate that time is running out. It teaches time management! Features 180 viewing, large, easy-to-read LCD display, volume control and pause feature. Measures 9" tall. Requires adapter (LER 2901) or 4 "AA" batteries (not included). (the uber water soaker)
(Great Water Gun)
(Of all the Supersoakers I own it is by far the Best)
(WoW hUgE!!!!!!!!!!!!! GreaT) My kids have a lot of fun with this water gun. It is a little heavy filled with water. This is quite the biggest water gun we had ever seen - it carries a serious amount of water, so much so that when filled, it is heavy to carry, so lightweights need not bother with this one. Walking around with this is enough to make everyone run from you - it looks very scary indeed and packs a heavy punch. I gave this to my son after he was ambushed by a bully that lives down the street. My son spent a week "staking out" the bully's house. A few days later I had an angry parent at my door with her bully son. It turns out my son blasted this kid in the face while he was on his bike, leading to the bully to crash his bike into his mother's new Lexus. HA! I acted concerned then later told my son he should have filled the tank with tobasco sauce....like in Airheads. Anyways, this gun is heavy when filled, but it is quite intimidating as well. It takes some time to get charged up, but it is well worth it. I own the Super Soaker Aqua Shock Arctic Blast, Super Soaker Helix Spiderman 3, and other various smaller water guns. This is the best of all of them. The HydroBlitz has a greater range and pumps up easier. Plus the multiple soaking shots can really do the trick if you have any sense of timing. The larger water tank can drain fast if you aren't careful. I use it with the SUPER SOAKER MAX INFUSION BACKPACK. Between the size of the gun and the backpack, I have never been out of water (just make sure you watch for others to fill and fill with them). If you want to dominate a water fight and can handle the size there is no other water gun out there that is better. Not only do I recommend it, but I am considering buying a second one for when this one is broken. This Super Soaker is great. First, it holds a lot of water. You might think that its preaty heavy, but with the strap, crank-like pump, and the trigger handle its not realy that bad. I have 7 super soakers. they are, defender, artic blast, secret strike, XP-70(was my cuzions josh, sneak attack, 2 transformers, ans of course the hydro blits and i also got the 100 ounce. The defender has power. However,it tares ^ way to easy. I belive it tares ^ worse than the flash flood. The artic blast is not near as good as the hydro blitz, it will rust if taken in a swimming pool. The secret strike is terible!!!!!! It does not last long. The Xp-70 is high powered. It does break easly thou. The sneak attack is alright. Dont get it by its left or right sprayers. The transformers are prety good, but 4 people with big hands its not comfortable, even with the mat at the bottom. Last, the back pack. its the best back-pack simplely because it holds more water. Lastly, the hydro blitz, its realy good!!!!!!, heres some facks, if you pump it ^ 50 times, you get 7 big burst. The stream usualy last around 20 seconds. Why is it so high? well its not realy when you think about it. O.K., the artic blast is $20.00, its better than that. It holds more watter, has a strap, and larger retrever. So s you see its worth ur $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Don't just soak em Aquashock em! (The treasure chest)
(Does not live up to the movie)
(i like this toy) Despite my 3-star review I do really like this set. The vehicles are both very unique for Lego sets and match their movie counterparts really well. In addition to the truck and car, you get Indy and 3 soldier mini-figs. The vehicles went together really well and are fairly durable. And they just look great. They are unlike any other vehicle sets that I have built so far.
My reason for not giving the set 5 stars is based on price. As far as Lego sets go you don't get as much in this set as you do in other sets. In this set, you get 3 truck people, and the amazing Indy! The treasure chest is cool. It's not the ark but, has what you think would be treasure. If you have this set, and are not happy with the chest, buy The Lost Tomb with it and swich it with the ark. I do not mind the chest though. The cool features are the chest, a machine gun, and a no-backed truck! Thanks, bye. My kids 8 and 6 lost interest in this toy pretty fast once it was put together. Die hard fans will immediately notice the deviation from the themes of the movie in that the treasure is changed from the Ark of the Covenant and the Chalice of the Last Supper to gold coins and jewels. Yet an ancient idol is kept as part of one of the other toys in this series. The Biblical themes are a very large part of what made these movies great. This censorship is disturbing for many reasons. I am nine years old and I think this toy is a fun thing to play with on rainy days and at nights. It is just like the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark. Putting it together was challenging and fun. The wheels work really well. There are different wheels for each vehicle and the truck has different wheels on the back and front. This caused a little trouble when I was putting it together but I figured it out. Recreate one of the greatest chase scenes in movie history with this exciting set. (Not what I remember...)
(Croc Dentist)
(Not what I expected)
(Scary for little ones) I am a Speech Therapist and this is a toy that the children with whom I work (3,4, and 5 year olds) ask for over and over again. They just love it! I have the small travel one which is perfect since I travel all around for my job. If the child is too afraid to push the teeth down I give him/her a tongue depressor or my pencil so the crocodile bites that instead of the child. I bought this toy for my son because I remember playing with one as a child. It is a new company that makes them now, no longer Hasbro. The crocodile is a lot of fun but the head pops off very easily. After a few rounds of play, the head would not open all the way. I contacted the company since my time to return it to Amazon had expired and I received a new one in the mail a few weeks later without returning the broken one. I would recommend this toy to older, calmer children. (Although I'm not sure if 6+ would find it entertaining.) The game was MUCH smaller than I expected (I actually went back to review my purchase to make sure I didn't accidentally buy a travl version!). Overall, it's a cute game and my 3-yr old son enjoys it. It is easily "broken" (jaw becomes unhinged) but so far has been easily repaired each time. When I was younger I had a crocadile dentist that you actually pulled the teeth out, thats what I was expecting. This was a travel size one that all you do is push the teeth, not very fun. My 4 year old broke it in less than a week, but we were not too upset! Not a bad toy for a road trip, but owuldn't recommend it for a family game. I thought this game was fun but my three year old daughter was terrified of it. My husband and I would play it together to show her how fun it is but she wouldn't even stay in the same room with it. So maybe not the best idea for little girls. I did give it three stars because I think it would be fun for kids who are not afraid of it. :) Poor old croc has a tooth that's bothering him; pretend to be a dentist to help him out. Press the wrong tooth and he'll surprise you. With no loose parts and exciting snapping jaws, this is one game that will thrill toddlers and primary schoolers alike. No batteries required. (Good Time Tent)
(fun toy poor quality)
(It's ok...) When the weather calls for inside play, we often pull out this set. My husband and I bought this to go with the school house and school bus. Our 1 1/2 and 3 1/2 year olds have fun moving through the tunnels and using their imaginations for creative play in the dome, school bus and school house. They fold up nicely to store away and then open up and fit together easy. The only small problem is that a couple of the loops used to hook the tunnels together have torn. Overall I think that this is a fun toy and much better than sitting still watching a video or TV. I bought this for my son to play in because he has a similiar foldable toy hamper that we couldn't keep him out of. I guess he doesn't like how big this tent is and the fact that he can't see us at all times. I'm sure he'll like it when he's a little older. Good thing it's long-lasting! Here at MomMom's house, I have just the tent version which my grandson has enjoyed since he could crawl. Now, for his 1st birthday, I bought the tent with tunnel for his house. Good Times!!!!!!!! Nothing to injure him, easy to set up and take down. He and his 4 yr. old brother chase each other through the tunnels. Thank you for a fine product... i got this for my son for his first birthday. we set it up that night and the next morning i noticed the stitching coming undone. it's ashame he really likes it and it's already falling apart. I don't know how long this toy will last. It is very flimsy. My 19-month-old is just ok with it--he's not really crazy over it as what you would see on the ad. If we don't play it with him, he won't play with it much. We could've lived without this toy... This lightweight, sturdy, flame-resistant nylon play structure can be set up in 30 seconds. There are no poles to piece together and insert (or lose or break). The Crawl N Play pops open and keeps its shape, thanks to the sewn-in spring-action frame. Indoors or out, the three modular units--one 32-by-33-by-33-inch block with four round openings and a roof window, plus two tunnels, each 18 inches across and 20 inches long--fit together with hook-and-loop tabs. Kids can create a clubhouse, a castle, a dungeon, a tower, a jail, a rabbit burrow, a bear's den, a pirate ship, an outlaw hideout, Aladdin's cave, a house on the prairie--whatever a game of make-believe seems to demand. The structure folds up to fit in the included nylon carry case, and it can be connected to other Crawl N Play modular sets to form larger structures.--Ava Natov Crawl in, crawl out, or you can even stand up in the middle of this Crawl 'N Play Tunnel. (Thought Ouija Was A Joke&Ouija Made Me Think AGAIN!!!!)
(You just got to know what your doing)
(It is no game)
(missing pieces) I used to be a cynic also, and just tried this board for a laugh. I gave this board very low reviews because I regret ever trying this out. I am not a religious person, but soon after I first became involved with this aspect of the occult hell became a very believable phenomenon.
Nothing actually happened while playing with the board; my cynicism was confirmed by my friends who tried too hard to read intelligence into the random movements occurring with the help of the participants. It was later that night when strange things began occurring. I was alone in my apartment, and was just about to turn in for the night when I heard dishes crashing in the kitchen. When I turned the lights on to investigate I couldn't find the source of the noise, the dishes were all sitting in their proper places in the cupboard; dismayed I went to bed thinking that I had somehow imagined the sounds- though I couldn't recollect anything of that sort occurring before. I stopped thinking about it and went to sleep with nothing else happening that night.
The entire week strange things continued to happen: I would leave a room and return a minute later and the furniture would be rearranged, my keys and wallet would disappear and then I would find them an hour later in the most obvious place, i.e. on the kitchen table, I initially reasoned that I was just under alot of stress and more absent minded than usual, but then the messages started appearing. On foggy bathroom mirrors, written in pencil on scraps of paper, and even whispered in the dead of night. They were threatening, taunting, malevolent promises that chilled me to the core. I have taken pictures of these sinister communications, but nobody believes me. Please, trust me and avoid the evil which this board channels. I recently purchased this Ouija board after chatting it up with my boyfriend about how scary a Ouija Board would be to use on Holloween. Obviously I was making sarcastic remarks and was not serious about it becauase I thought Ouija was all nothing but a bunch of hog wash.
Well anyway I ordered the dumb thing because we thought it be a fun joke to get it and see that this thing dont work like people believe it to. I thought it was so funny how people called this simple piece of plastic&cardboard "Witchcraft" and "Black" magic, and would say that those who attend church would never bother with it. Needless to say I ordered the thing and it got to my place with the great help of UPS. I got the thing opened and left it in the sunlight atop my window sil for the remainer of the day (alough directions tell you to leave it under a lamp or in direct sunlight for 30 minutes) anyway I was home alone that night and I decided to test it out and I asked "Is anybody there?" and then the pallette moved over and stopped on "Yes". Man I coulda pissed myself. I told the "spirit" Good bye&chucked it in the closet!
The next night I was convinced to get the thing out the closet and have me and my boyfriend try it out. Well folks, at the end of this session I found out that there are 6 spirits in my home and they been there before we had even moved in. They had told us how they were siblings and that the oldest of them all was a 21yr old male. That their parents were alive but was not the cause of their death. I know that the "deceased" are not your best spellers but this particular one had a easier time with yes and no questions. Spelling was hard to catch, like when he had said that my best friend and his girl would break up December 5th, but instead showed us "D"&"5". I asked if he ment Dec 5th&the pallette flew over to yes!
I barely got sleep last night, and I cant help but to keep thinking how spooky the ordeal was, I thought this was a joke but beware its not! Dont ask the things you may not be able to accept once you learn the truth. ALWAYS go over the questions you tend to ask the Ouija, and make sure the people involved agree. You dont want anyone uncomfortable and kill the mood. And remember sometimes its easier to form your questions in yes and no answer format instead of relying on spelling. Grammer can tend to suck, so I suggest something like what we did, we asked "are you male or female? Answer yes for male or no for female". He answered yes. If you are curious, and not afraid and want to experience what it is to contact the deseaced then I highly reccomend it! Just say a prayer before hand&always say good-bye. Sometimes they will say it back, other times they may not. But that dont matter, Just make sure that YOU always do when you are ready to call it a night. Its just simple manners.
*Have fun, Be safe, and have faith* A ouija board is not evil it matters on the person playing it and befor you play its all ways good to do it outside and do a sacred circle do protection spells and the lesser banashing spell of the petagram and have garlic, salt, cross, silvercoin, ect, so just have fun and do it if you are in to the occult and other magic so you know more about it and IT IS NOT EVIL IF THE PERSON WHO'S PLAYING WITH IT IS EVIL THEN IT WILL BE EVIL but if the person is good then it will be good
Ok. So I have been playing the ouija board for a few years now. My first time was on all hollows eve. The night where it is supposed that spirits come out the most and are strong. So making contact with a spirit would be easy. And it was. I have played the board in very odd remote locations. I have put candles around peoples graves trying to summon them up for conversation. I have learned through various articles that most spirits you do come into contact with are liars. So always keep an open mind if the board actually works for you. Also you should look up incantations to make the board specifically yours. Back in the day people made their own board. So now you need to put an incantation on it. However it may be, this "game" is amazing. Just be careful. I have had friends pass out playing and have other strange things happen. Things that I never wanted to see or hear. So if you play this "game" keep an open mind. Enj |
