(This refill is recommended because more kids like it than you think) The product this goes with (the Stomp Rocket) is great for kids to burn off energy with. My 2 yr-old and 4 yr-old both love it, and it's easy for them to use. I highly recommend it! I bought this for my sons, ages 5 and 2, and the 2 year old loves it probably more than his big brother. The rockets are as soft as Nerf foam, and they launch very easily. The rockets fly high and fast, but they don't hurt even when they hit you in the face. The 2 year old has taken to carrying the rocket launcher like a mini bazooka and chasing his brother with it around the house... he holds the rocket launcher on his little shoulder, drops the stomp-pad on the floor, and fires a salvo at his brother in less than a few seconds... it is amazing how good his aim has become. So far, they have been unable to damage anything with it or hurt one another. This all said, this is not how the toy was meant to be used, but if you have boys, this is how it will eventually be used. If you have objections to your children firing foam projectiles at one another, then this is not the toy for you, (I know several parents that dislike the idea of their children "shooting" at anyone and refuse to buy them water-guns or Nerf products). If you use this as it was meant to be used, you will take it outside and launch it straight up into the air, and it really goes amazingly high. Even when used properly, this toy is a blast to play with... even for dads. This toy surprised me - it attracted so many kids that all refills I bought are useful. I bought the rocket toy for my 4-year old son. It took me 1 minute to set it up in a park. My son was able to launch the rocket into the sky immediately. Within several minutes, the toy attracted a dozen kids in the park. They lined up to get a chance to play. All kids love it (ranging from 3-8 years old). They played for more than an hour. (Great toy but overpriced) My son received the Fisher Price School Bus for his first birthday and LOVED it, so I figured he would love this airplane as well. He enjoys swapping out the little people and opening and closing the doors. A fun toy, cute sound effects and song. The only downside to the airplane compared to the school bus is that the opening is a smaller than the bus. For little hands, it's not a problem, but when you have all the airplane seats filled, it can be a little tight... I got this for my son right before his 2nd birthday because he LOVES planes. I wish I had gotten this for him earlier. I feel like he would've enjoyed it more a year earlier. It's a great, durable product that we've come to expect from Little People. Fun music, songs. (Love the female pilot!). my daughter plays with this as much as the bus, not alot. she likes to listen to the music mostly. i think its my daughters personality, cause i know of other children, who love fisher price toys like this. maybe once my daughter gets a little older and her imagination kicks in more! SHE'S ONLY TWO NOW! As a child that grew on on Little People, I love this toy. Of course, it's different than the Little People that I grew up on. I loved the style to my Little People but these chunkier People are more safe as I remember putting my smaller People in my mouth as a child. With that said, my 3 year old son LOVES his Little People and all products associated with them. This airplane is no exception. My 2yr old recieved this item for her birthday and absolutely loves it. The aircraft makes several cute noises including the "bong bong" noise when flight attendents are being notified it's time to start moving. The figures include a pilot, a passenger and an arrivals team member ready to greet the inbound passengers. This is great toy and especially good if your little one flies a lot or has an attraction to airplanes. I would suggest buyers search for a good price online because some retailers (uh-um) tend to mark this item up 2-3 times higher than other merchants. Try the manufacturers website for a good deal. "Ready for take-off…here we go!" Diminutive pilots in training can let their imagination take flight with this stocky, swooshy, wiggly-wobbly airplane. Measuring 12 inches nose to tail, and 8 inches from wingtip to wingtip, this sturdy plastic plane features a pilot, two passengers, a piece of luggage, a door that opens, six windows, including the pilot's windshield, a handle over the cut-out top, working wheels (which make the pilot and passengers go up and down as if encountering turbulence), and the obligatory face on the front of the craft. It was great for about one week, and then the sides just split apart at the seams! When someone sets this up, it is also very important to water the grass underneath, since the grass will get totally burned even when it gets moved immediately after use. Don't expect to get the use of an entire season out of this! My daughter got this for her birthday. Our yard is not completely level, but it is not very hilly either. We never could get it to work like in the pictures. It is still fun if you just run the hose down the middle. If the surface is not completely flat. the water pools to one side, and the board does not slide well. Overall, the kids still had fun. It was just not much better than a slip -n- slide for about 3 times the price. I bought this toy for my daughter's birthday. Our yard has few spots where it is perfectly level. My daughter and I set it up and she had a blast. This toy is amazing. She's definatley got my money's worth out of it. Saw this on TV and it looked interesting but I was hesitant to buy due to some of the negative reviews here. The price was good so we gave it a chance and are so glad we did! It's a lot longer than a slip-n-slide and more interesting. Riding the board is a challenge, but a fun one, and it's really fast and active. Some hints to offer--yes, you do have to have a very flat surface, but the instructions indicate that the slide needs to be filled with 2 and a half inches of water before use. If you wait for the little sprayers to do this, it would take forever and it may look like you only get little unconnected puddles. We treated it like it was a long thin swimming pool, and just used the garden hose to fill it up before turning on the sprayers. When it is full, it evens out the surface so the whole area is covered with water. And as for people saying it's hard to empty--my kids have fun sliding their feet along the borders to squish out the water and have contests to see how fast they can do it--maybe 10 minutes total clean-up. Also, to minimize yellowing the grass underneath, wet the grass with a hose before laying down the plastic, so it doesn't crush as much, and then be sure to get it off the grass as soon as you are done. We love the Skimboard Surfer and it works great--they play with it for a solid hour each time. (do be aware of the 5 feet tall, 100 pound limit for using the board--probably because the bigger you are, the harder you fall, and you can take some hard wipeouts off the board when it slides out from under you). My older son still uses it like a regular slip-n-slide and has fun. This product arrived with a hole already in the outside ring which has never repaired very well. The kids like the idea, but I'm constantly having to refill the water. Considering the level of play, I'm sure it won't last very long. Skimboard without the ocean! My one year old absolutely LOVES this radio - he learned how to turn it on quickly and loves that it lights up and plays familiar tunes. Highly recommended!!! My daughter got this for her first Christmas when she was 10 months old and it became her favorite toy instantly. We all like the music it plays and its easy for her to carry around or just leave on the fridge. She's had it for 7 months and still plays with it everyday. I've made it a gift for two of our young friends (one age one and the other age two) and it was received with great enthusiasm. I highly recommend the Fridge DJ! I loved the idea of having something on the fridge to occupy my little one when I'm in the kitchen. He loves to stay in the kitchen and very interested in things on the fridge. However, this toy did NOT stay on the fridge so it killed the purpose. It seems that the magnets are not strong enough to carry its weight. In addition, my son likes to interact with toys. This one did not offer much because there is only one button that activates the music which makes it pretty boring for my son. The lights are fun to watch because they light up according to music, which I liked. But again, there is not much to engage little ones except for sitting in front of it and watching how lights changes to the music. My son is 11 month-old. For older boys it might be different. I would recommend visiting a store nearby and let your baby (and yourself) play with it to see if she/he would be interested in it. I returned it... My son got this as a gift for his first birthday and he loves it! Not only is this toy educational, but it is indestructable as well. My son pulls this toy off the fridge and throws it as far as he can (on our tile floor) and it still works as good as new. I would recommend this toy to anyone that has a child that is "hard on toys". I even catch my five year old daughter playing with it and singing the songs. (lotta fun for little money!!!) The product performed less than adequately. The children were frustrated by the perfromance. I recall the original when I was a child and it was quite fun. I suppose this particular design didn't receive test market data review before it was put out for manufacturing. I am in sunny and hot San Antonio so it is critical that these type of toys work so that kids will cool off and have fun. This toy did not do this. On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest rating I give it a 1 at best. I would not recommend it for others to buy. Great item despite other reviews. Fast shipping and lasted even though children and adults both used these. I purchased this toy for my sons 6th birthday and all the children had a great time playing on it. Wow. I don't understand it. The slip and slide I had as a kid (whamo brand, mind you) lasted all through my childhood. Bought this for my daughter. On the first use one of the holes where the stake goes in ripped. On the second use all 57 punds of her was sliding down and when she hit the "splash pool" one of the sides popped! The way I figure it has two more sides to pop so it should give her another two uses. Sheesh this product sucked on durability! Very nice toy for the younger set. Not as fancy as some of the slip n' slides on the market but done those and found them to be more combersome than fun. So this product is great for 3 to 6 year olds. We use the Little Tykes slide to add to the fun and my 4 year old stays entertained for a good while. I have it on my grassy area and it's been on small sticks without any problems. When the item was received, the plug is not wired as a direct replacement for Little Tykes. Since it is a battery, it cannot be returned. I explained my situation to Amazon and received a full credit. Frustrating that the item was not as described though, but received good customer service from Amazon. A excellent toy for the grandkids. They get to drive around the yard and it has two speads so first learning to drive it gos extremely slow. I follow the 18hour rule with use of this battery on my sons Peg Perego Polaris ATV. No issues at all and he is getting 2+ hours of ride time with each charge. We typically plug in the battery after each use and let the battery charge overnight so about 18hours from the time he puts it up and comes home from kindergarden the next day. Its a little high priced and yes a lawn mower/motorcycle battery will work if your into splicing wires and cutting up your childs ride on...for me it was much easier to get this battery which works great and fits in the space provided....keep it fully charged and it will continue to work for years.... The car without the battery is of no use. A good battery is a must to enjoy the toy and this is the perfect battery recommended by the manufacturer. I also looked into purchasing this item, but read an earlier review of someone who placed a small 12 volt lawn tractor or motorcycle battery into the toy gator with success. I purchased a 12 volt motorcycle battery and used the connector from the previous dead prego battery. This allowed me to attach the new motorcycle battery to the gator. When I removed the wires from the old battery I removed the blue cap, and was able to save the fuse that is built in. Anyway, it works great was half the cost, and I can hook it up to my 12 volt battery charger. In order to be the new battery to fit I had to enlarge the battery box, by doing some cutting. I was not real pretty, but my daught is not picking dates up with it. Keep a spare battery charged up so you never have to wait to ride your Peg-Perego vehicle. This 12-volt rechargeable battery delivers more ride time per charge under similar conditions than other batteries for ride-on vehicles. Features non-spillable "Gel-Cell" technology.
