Wrong. She complains it is too easy and I agree. She knows all the animal facts and breezes through the game. My 4 year old niece enjoys it and finds it more challenging. This is a great game. I bought it for my 4 year old daughter and she loves it. Her 3 year old sister also likes to play it. My oldest daughter has learned alot about different animals and there habitats. Very educational and fun at the same time. My daughter is 5 years old and this is one of her favorite games. She has learned so many facts about different animals. It is definitely for a younger age group than the game says. My 7 year old nephew does not take interest in this. It is probably better suited for 4-6 years old. Santa brought this for my (soon to be) 6-year old, and she loves it! It is by far her favorite game. It is educational, fun, and does not fall into a repetitive rut that would make the game boring. There are goals set to "win" animals, and quizzes on the animal once you have enough points. This game is set to reward correct answers&doesn't make a big deal if an incorrect answer is selected. Just try again! We love this game&would recommend it for any child under the age of 8. Of all my daughters 6 games this is her favorite. She loves the animal facts and games that make this such a great buy. I search Amazon specifically for the Leapster games and am so impressed with what you get for the price. Just do it. He loves the door that goes up&down, makes the animals go in&out&just can play with it for hours. I do recommend this for parents to get for their kids. "Animal House?" That's what my 2.5 year old asked when I showed him this toy. I said, yes, and they call it a "barn!" Well, the next time I said animal house, he corrected me, "no, barn!" There is something wholesome about farm toys, and our older son cannot get enough of 'em, so this toy was an instant hit. Our younger son is 8 months, so I bought this with him in mind as well, thinking our older son would outgrow this toy pretty soon. But for now, he's really into this toy and animals in general. One nice thing is we live on the edge of the city, so we can actually point out barns and farm animals on weekend drives. The toy itself is just fine for the money. I think FP must have dropped the fake fur, cuz I just bought this and there was no fur. Five animals + farmer and all have a sound except the goat. It's a simple, compact toy which is what I was looking for. The nieces also love the animal noises... hopefully it's not going to encourage them to become farmers. Gave this as a present to my 19 month old granddaughter and she has played with it so much. I was quite excited to see him put it together. He got the legs done within an hour or so and we tried to make the thin walk....and all it did was twitch. We hadn't hooked up the power yet, but we figured the legs should move without it. At this point I was prepared to call LEGO headquarters and complain at length. He continued to put it together while I moped and fumed about our new non-walking walker. Finally he got to the power-pack installation and we turned it on...................and IT WALKED! When we tried to move it earlier it was not able to turn the motor so it siezed, but we couldn't tell that because it appeared that everything was turning as much as it could. We were seeing what turned out to be the motion of the worm gear switching between forward and reverse. This little model is wonderful. It walks in forward and reverse and the head moves back and forth as it walks. I can easily see this being modified into other walking robots and it gives a great example of how rotational motion can be transformed into linear motion. Plus it's kinda cute. Pew pew I bought this toy for my son's 10th birthday. He had builded it for 1 day. After that he could play with it, because it can move by moter. It is great toy!!! this is the most lookalike lego star wars vehicle. it even moves like the AT-AT in the movie. Great&innovative creation, Lego. It'll be even great if there is sound with movement. Lego hits a home run with this mechanized model of the AT-AT you first saw terrorizing the Rebels on Hoth in Episode V of Star Wars. This advanced model (more than 1100 pieces) features a handle on top for easy transport, but the kicker is both its size (over 12" tall and 14" long) and the mechanization. With the addition of 6-AA batteries, this model uses its articulated legs to walk smoothly and "effortlessly", with the head swiveling... just like in the movie! The disappointment? Not too hard to build. I do have an expectation that these collector sets are more complicated and take more effort to construct. But it's so cool when it walks! I just finished assembling Lego's motorized AT AT. Not only does it look fantastic, but it actually is fully mobile. After tweeking the gears and the legs a bit, I managed to get the AT AT to walk smoothly on my tile floors. It's not a toy for young children because of its fragility and small parts which can easily be swallowed, but for adult "kids", it is definitely a wonderful collectible that will provide many hours of fun. Every day, more markets demand an extra order of Webkinz to sell. Toy companies try to compete with these master-peices of fun, but none have succeeded. That brings us to 'Shining Stars'. I have two and they're awesome. BUT, I MUST admit, Webkinz last longer and they are more accurate. Ganz makes more money than ever every year, and, with that money, they are able to make wonderous expansions to their fabulous website otherwise known as 'Webkinz World'. What a great positive, learning experience for my child on the computer! He is learning the value of money, eating/sleeping habits and much more. In a day where violence is so prevalent and difficult to steer a 7 year old boy from, it is refreshing to have him so involved in such a great outlet. I ordered four webkinz online and two of them had wrong codes and could not be registered online at the website. That is the whole point of the toy. I will never order these online again and would warn people that you never know what you'll get. It was a total letdown. My daughter tells me that our seven-year old grandson heads for the computer to play with his Black Lab Webkinz as soon as he finishes his homework. Probably the least expensive of the birthday gifts received by this child of an affluent family, it is his favorite. Our 5-year old and 4-year-old dove right in initially and we played this game night after night for the first couple of weeks. We still pull the game out now about 1-2 times per week, but we don't use the cards. The reason I gave this only 4 stars instead of 5 is that the cards don't provide more information to transition beginners from the basic moves. The game should've included more tips to extend the usefulness of the playing cards. Still, at $14, this is a great investment in family fun. The flip side of the board can continued to be used as a standard chess board. This is an easy way to teach a beginning player how to play chess, or a great refresher for an adult who may not remember how all the pieces move. This is a great game to teach your young children some basics of chess, even if you have never played before! On each card, there's a picture of a chess piece, arrows showing how it can move, and a written description. You play by picking a card and moving that specific piece, if possible. If you pick a card for a piece that is "trapped" or cannot move, you just pick another card until you can move something. My 4 year old daughter can play it and win! Your kids start to learn the names of the pieces and the different ways they can, and cannot, move on the board. This is a great game for the whole family to start learning to play chess. It's been fun and educational. I was babysitting last night, and the kid brought out his no stress chess set. I have never played chess before in my life, and I had a great time! We both did, and he is only 5. I liked the different action cards and instructions for setting up the board. We bought this for my daughter who loves to watch tv, work on the computer and read books. We bought several games this Christmas to promote interactive play. She has not taken very good care of games in the past (lost pieces mostly). Anyone who sees one in person immediately decides that they must have one. My only complaint is that it does not include a Parfait. Everything is better with a Parfait... Great toy! You can journey to a galaxy far, far away and fight all the sith lords you face. Great for kids! Great for the 40 year old kids too! If you grew up with Star Wars and always had the dream of that light saber, well here is your chance. Chances of actually cutting through something with this light saber 0%, but you can still make believe. Obviously you're not going to be able to buy an actual lightsaber anytime soon, so mimicry is the next best thing; this is where this item succeeds. Compared to any other lightsaber replica on the market, this one is the king. It isn't perfect, but it's no cheap Chinese knockoff. Everything from the actual hilt to the sturdy blade is the nicest quality you're going to find. The thing I have the biggest issue with is the sound effects and motion sensor. Obviously Master Replicas couldn't use top-of-the-line gyroscopics and sound systems in this thing, otherwise the price would be many times what it is, so for the price, it is not bad. In fact, the sound is really, really loud. So loud that I actually put a foam disc in between the speaker and cap to muffle it a bit, which works great and tones it down to a volume that is more house-friendly. If you're at a party, the regular volume is perfect. The motion effects are a bit laggy, and sometimes non-existent. It seems that it really only effectively works when you swing it a certain direction; that is the case with mine, anyhow. The light is nice and bright; These do look better in online videos than they do in person, but again, for the price, this is as good as it's gonna get. I give it a 5/5 since it is top notch in it's market and is both suitable for display as well as light dueling, should you choose to do so. Get one before they are even harder to find, this price is better than what you'll find on Ebay, used!! :) What can I say? Amazing. I've always loved this design ever since I saw it on the big screen back in 1977 when Obi-Wan handed Luke his father's lightsaber. I wanted one. It's been 30+ years now, but I finally have it!!! It was worth the wait...every year of it. Fun, cool looking, durable. If you can find one, get it.
