『It's amazing how many pieces you get for the best price ever. The quality is pretty good too, not much worse than other top brand trains like thomas&friends. My 2-year old just loves the set and plays with it every day. I think it will last for a long time. The delivery from amazon was so fast, it took only 3 business days to arrive.』

They love going through the city and over the suspension bridge, through the woods.. We also have the extra trains Melissa and Doug offers Melissa&Doug Wooden Train Cars Set.. I would recommend the extra trains but the ones that come with the deluxe set is more then enough.. This set is the best value out there and believe me I have looked around.. It is worth every penny and the quality is what you can expect with the Melissa and Doug products. Buy with confidence and watch your child's mind flourish!! Enjoy!!』

『This set came with a lot of trains which attach with magnets and tracks that can be made into multiple patterns. It allows for the child to create his or her own patterns as well. My granddaughter loves playing with it. The product is very durable.』

『We bought this for our 2 year old girl. she loves it! although the instructions are not correct and two of the templates do not fit on a normal train table, it was fairly easy to put together. we also tacked it down to it would stay put. works just as well as the more expensive thomas brand name set.』

『I have a three year old who is obsessed with trains. There is nothing wrong with the quality of this product. However, the wooden track has no way of staying together, so most of my time is spent reconstructing what my son has knocked down with the slightest nudge. Maybe it will get better as he gets older but for now there is no way for him to play independantly with the wooden track. He also has plastic track which clicks together and stays together. I can't say which is better for him but if you would like to get anything done i would wait on the wooden track until age 5 or 6.』

『We got this for our 3yo son for Christmas. We weren't expecting him to catch on right away since he is so young (just turned 3 in Nov.) but he proved us wrong. He quickly learned how to control Diego and complete the missions.

There are 3 areas to play (desert, rain forest, Antarctica) and each area has 3 levels of difficulty to chose from. The first level teaches basics such as "Find the number 4" "Find a red shape". The more difficult levels work on larger numbers and math skills.

I think my son will be able to grow into this game and be able to use it for several years. Great game!』

Durable Solid-Wood Construction for Years of Use
With the exception of the durable plastic uprights on the suspension bridge, the plastic wheels and steel rivets on the trains and truck, and the small, steel screws that hold many of the accessories together, the Wooden Railway Set is made entirely of solid wood that will last. Every track piece and accessory is sanded to a smooth finish, and when screws are used, they are set below the surface of the wood, providing a smooth surface for little hands.

The track pieces snap snugly and easily into one another with no excessive force or tools required. With over 100 track pieces and bridge supports to work with, the biggest challenge for your child will be to keep all the pieces organized during their building process.

One piece of advice for parents: add the Melissa&Doug Multi-Activity Table, so your child can easily build out the set and you can keep the pieces contained.

Freight Train, Passenger Train and Flatbed Truck
The Wooden Railway Set includes a six-piece freight train with cargo, a four-piece passenger train, and a three-piece flatbed truck with cargo. The trains and the truck each feature durable plastic wheels held to the bodies with smooth, steel rivets.

The flatbed truck allows your child to replicate the real-world transfer of cargo from the train to the truck, and then on to the neighborhood stores for the final delivery. The set also includes train engineers who can help direct traffic as the trains come in and out of the station.

Several Accessories for Added Fun
To load cargo on and off the trains, the set includes two magnetized crane assemblies -- a tower frame and an A-frame -- that each feature a lever for raising and lowering the cargo. It also includes a suspension bridge, trestle bridge, a five-way switch, and a roundhouse engine shed where the engines can park when not in use. Several trees and road signs are also included.
