(So far so good!)
(please exchange it!!)
(Disappointed Rider)
(power system failed completely with very little use) Our grandchildren love this product ages three and five. The are home schooled and this help reinforce their education with the various discs that you can purchase. The assemble is very simple and hooking it up to the TV is just as easy. Construction of the bike is sturdy and the design of the controllers on the handle bars have been thoughtfully placed.
The seat is designed to grow with your child; we have a 3 1/2 year old that is 3'7" and the seat adjustment is a huge MUST! From the looks of it, the bike has plenty of height adjustment left so that our son doesn't outgrow it any time soon! YAY!
The game that comes with the machine reminds me of the 90's version of Race Car driving. The graphics are simple and the concept is easy to understand (again, it's the game that comes with the machine).
It does look like Fisher-Price has taken extra time to make sure the instructions made more since... they have even added a separate diagram for the peddles AND it comes with an assembly tool.
So, it's a 'so-far-so-good' toy. :-) I got this smart cycle for my daughter's birthday adn she loves it though, when she drives about 5minuts,Screen on the TV get wabbly and runs border lines, sometimes screen get so messy and I can 't see the proper screen. it was torn box with new smart cycle inside though, looks like broken toy came from mail order...I am so disappointed. is there somehow can I exchange or refound? I try to blow the dust and clean the cartrige, check the connections and change TV, but I am quite sure now, I got broken smart cycle...please exchange it!! My 4 year gets very bored when he rides the Smart Cycle. He doesn't last more than 10 minutes on it. We have had this toy for almost a year now, and I don't think he has played with it more than a dozen times. This is definetely not an excercise toy due to the fact it has no resistance when the child rides the toy. Also, the Smart Cycle runs through batteries. I had to go buy rechargable batteries. Finally, we own 3 different games, but they seem to have the same concept except with different characters. With all the technology available, I think Fisher Price could of made this toy more fun! We used this thing about 3 times, during which it ate through 2 sets of D batteries. THen it would not turn on at all. What a waste of effort, materials, labor, shipping. Of course now it's been more than 30days so Amazon won't take it back. This is why the world is awash in garbage!
Smart Cycle plugs right into your TV, ready to take kids on learning adventures like no other. As they pedal, favorite character friends guide them through learning discoveries, games and even exciting races. Other activities don't require pedaling at all. Includes Learning Adventure game cartridge with 3 ways to play:1) Drive, steer and learn at your own pace--visit Math Mountain, Shape Lake, Number Fields, Letter Creek and other stops along the way. 2) Learn, stop and rest, but don't stop learning! Use the joystick to reinforce important learning skills with plenty of games and activities with different levels for growing kids. 3) Race--put the pedal to the metal as you race with cars on-screen, against the clock, or with another player. Includes Learning Journey software and the other themes sold separately include: Nick Jr.Dora the Explorer Friendship Adventure, Nick Jr.Go Diego Go! Diego's Animal Rescue, Discover the Dinosaurs, Nickelodeon SpongeBob Squarepants Ocean Adventure, Hot Wheels Barbie Fairytopia. Developmental Benefits: Teaches: upper&lowercase letters, numbers&counting, spelling, problem-solving, shapes, matching, creativity, spatial reasoning, motor skills&lots more! Requires 4 "D" batteries, not included. Measures 26.7"L x 18.5"W x 25.1"H. Weight Capacity 200 lbs. Just because it's raining, snowing or otherwise blustery outside, that doesn't mean that your child can't get the exercise she needs. The Fisher Price Smart Cycle combines the fun indoor activity of video game playing with the physical activity the great outdoors will give you. Designed for kids ages three to six, the Smart Cycle "physical learning arcade system" is an all-in-one stationary bike, video game console, and educational tool. The Smart Cycle plugs directly into your VCR or TV and requires no need for a separate game system. Simply connect the Smart Cycle to your television's input jacks, insert the included game cartridge "key," and your child can start riding -- and learning -- right away! Your child pedals the bike to keep the game going and "steers" with the movable handlebars. A large, easy-to-use and conveniently placed joy stick and bright buttons control the games and educational tools. The Smart Cycle comes with a "learning adventure," in which your child drives a car by pedaling the bike and turning the handlebars. She can splash through mud puddles and take treacherous corners as she tries to catch letters of the alphabet along the road. She'll learn to keep pedaling to keep moving, while at the same time learning her alphabet! Versatility Adds to the Fun The Smart Cycle includes a game cartridge that features several fun and educational adventures that will keep your child happily entertained. A trip to "Math Mountain" will help her practice her numbers, while an adventure-filled trek to "Shape Lake" will introduce her to a wide array of different shapes. The Smart Cycle also includes an exciting car racing game that two children can play at the same time, while a "creative journal" lets your child create pictures and snapshots of her "worldwide" travels. The fun doesn't have to stop when your child gets her fill of exercise: she can stop and rest, and continue the fun and learning by using the bike's joy stick and buttons to navigate through many other games and adventures. And best of all, several optional game cartridges that can be used with the Smart Cycle (sold separately) will keep your child continually entertained, including games that feature favorite characters such as Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Barbie, and Hot Wheels cars. With its wide array of games and height-adjustable seat, the Smart Cycle is designed to grow with your child. So as your child grows both physically and intellectually, the Smart Cycle will grow with her. The Ultimate Test Drive We found the Smart Cycle easy to assemble and very simple to install with our television set. All we needed for assembly was a Phillips screwdriver and four "D" batteries (not included). As long as your television or VCR is equipped with the red, white, and yellow RCA jacks to connect the Smart Cycle, you're set to go. We simply connected the included plugs to the television's jacks, turned the television on, and we were ready for hours of fun. Once the game started, the cycle seemed easy enough to operate, making it not too much of a challenge to result in frustrating a child, but not so easy that it would soon become boring. With the additional optional game cartridges, we believe the Smart Cycle promises to be a long-lasting source of entertainment. The Smart Cycle comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual, and the set-up only took a few minutes. However, one minor set-back we experience was that we needed the paper instruction manual on hand to understand how to play the video game; we found some elements of the games to be nearly impossible to understand without the instructions. An intuitive set of online instructions designed for children to follow, without the need to consult a paper manual, would make for a near-ideal gaming experience for any child (and parent). Also, although the seat offers four height levels, the handlebars are not height adjustable, which may present a problem for some smaller children. Pros: - Provides a source of indoor exercise for young children
- Designed to grow with your child's physical and intellectual development
- Helps develop your child's motor skills
- Easy to install and use
- Includes several fun and entertaining educational games
Cons:- The instructions to some of the games are difficult to understand
- The cycle's handlebars are not height adjustable

(Cheap Plastic Can't Hang)
(This toy is absolutely horrible)
(They must be joking!!!! Cheap, cheap, cheap!!!)
(Cheap Plastic Garbage) This is a game I often get kids for birthday gifts. The parents are just excited about it as the kids, as they often had it themselves. It's not educational, but so much fun. Especially popular with active boys who may not always like traditional sit-down games. Unfortunately I totally agree with all reviews regarding the cheap plastic and not being durable. It only took one match with my 5 year old to see that the heads wouldn't go up and over the white marbles. You'll see exactly what we are referring to once you purchase&play. Then you'll wish you simply kept the one you had from when you were a kid. The cherry on top was the box it comes in. Once you assemble the game together - it no longer fits in the box for storage. Surprise !! No place to store your game with all the marbles ! I will NEVER buy anything from Hasbro. My son received Hungry Hungry Hippos for this birthday. One of the four hippos never worked--pieces were missing from the box. The plastic is so flimsy that the other three get hung up and rarely work. You can't put the game away without taking the hippos off (no small task--I have pinched my fingers several times), and no child can do it alone. It is absolutely the worst toy we have ever had the misfortune of receiving. This product used to be fun when I was a kid. I just bought it for my kids, and I am tremendously disappointed. Initially, I thought it was going to be okay. The instructions were decent, and it went together fairly easily. The first red flag was when I took the marbles out - they are plastic! Who ever heard of plastic marbles? Then, once we started to play, it became apparent how cheaply the game is made because the hippos kept getting stuck and had to be fiddled with to work again. That was when I first started considering returning it. The icing on the cake was when I tried to put it away. I think you may need the fingers of a child and the strength of a man to partially dissassemble the game to make it fit back in the box. It has small plastic tabs that were snapped into place to put it together, and then have to be pinched to be released to take it apart. The only problem is that it clearly wasn't made to be taken apart. I would love to see my husband trying to do this. He wouldn't be able to fit his fingers in, yet there is not way my daughter could do it either. Cheap, cheap, cheap.
I am becoming disappointed with Milton Bradley/Hasbro toys that I have bought in recent years, such as Mousetrap, Cootie, Don't Spill the Beans, etc. It is really pitiful that they would make a piece of trash like this toy. The plastic quality is HORRIBLE. The lightweight plastic balls barley roll and wind up just sittng on the playing field. The hippos Jam constantly. Total Garbage. These four hungry hippos want to munch a bunch of marbles! The faster you press their tails, the more marbles they try to chomp! If your hippo gobbles the most, you win! For 2 to 4 players. Game includes: Hippo game base, 4 Hippo heads, 4 levers, label sheet, 20 marbles, instructions. Color of parts may vary. Four hippos try to eat as many marbles as they can--as fast as they can. This game is fast-paced and riotous for kids who get to take turns popping a white marble into the ring, then furiously pressing on their hippo's levered tail to catch the prize. As if that's not enough, in the advanced game, all 20 marbles are released at the same time. Utter mayhem ensues, and whoever snares the most marbles wins. If only it would get kids to clean their plates as well as those pudgy hippos do!--Lynne Sampson Rerations < Hungry Hungry Hippos >

(Great movie)
(Best Super Hero Movie Out There)
(Awesome movie)
(WICKED AWESOME! :D) I'm a fan of comic book adaptations but i have to say Iron Man just did not do it for me. I felt that nothing new was added to the comic book adaptation genre, not in plot, screen writing or even special effects. It looked to me like it has all been done and seen before. I did not quite understand what all the hype surrounding this movie was about Robert Downey Jr. was not very convincing as a good guy i liked him better when he was selling weapons and couldn't care less about anyone else, his good side felt to me as somewhat forced on him, didn't believe it. Although i love Gwyneth Paltrow i hated this part for her, it was just meaningless and very secondary, any up and coming actress could have done that role. Paltrow should have never agreed to it. All in all i do not think this movie has what it takes to be on the top ten list of best comic book adaptations. We purchased this for movie night, and it was really good, action and comedy... What a breeze to shop with Amazon... :-) This review is not lengthy description of the plot of Iron Man, it is simply written to tell you that this is by far the best Super Hero movie made in a very long time. I originally thought it was going to be another corny over the top Super Hero theme flick that is entertaining because of the action but leaves you empty. This movie has decent acting, by far the best Robert Downy Jr. movie I have ever seen and he made me want to watch more. Gwenyth Paltrow plays a simple yet crucial role and provides an excellent counter part to Downy Jr.
This really is a must see and you will not be disappointed by the pick. As long as you are looking for a high action entertaining choice, Iron Man is the way to go! My review is on the movie itself, rather than the DVD itself. I borrowed from a friend to watch it, and I was NOT disappointed. While I don't collect Iron Man comic books, I do know of the story. While parts had to be changed for the movie, it was not at all disappointing.
I enjoyed the movie greatly and its characters and story development (and the acting by Robert Downey Jr. was awesome!). Even a die-hard Iron Man fan should not be disappointed in this movie.
My favorite part of the movie was when he flew to the Middle East in his new suit, and dealt with the terrorists while saving the civilians, and then leaving the leader of the terrorists to the villagers to do with what they wanted. Sweet justice, indeed! Was better in the theater - but this is awesome! i had my doubts about Robt Downey Jr as a 'superhero', but he was PERFECT! Beginning grabs your attention and remains very interesting! Cant wait for the sequel! Suit up for action with Robert Downey Jr. in the ultimate adventure movie you’ve been waiting for,Iron Man! When jet-setting genius-industrialist Tony Stark is captured in enemy territory, he builds a high-tech suit of armor to escape. Now, he’s on a mission to save the world as a hero who’s built, not born, to be unlike any other. Co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges, it’s a fantastic, high-flying journey that is "hugely entertaining" (Joe Morgenstern, The Wall Street Journal). You know you're going to get a different kind of superhero when you cast Robert Downey Jr. in the lead role. AndIron Manis different, in welcome ways. Cleverly updated from Marvel Comics' longstanding series,Iron Manputs billionaire industrialist Tony Stark (that's Downey) in the path of some Middle Eastern terrorists; in a brilliantly paced section, Stark invents an indestructible suit that allows him to escape. If the rest of the movie never quit hits that precise rhythm again, it nevertheless offers plenty of pleasure, as the renewed Stark swears off his past as a weapons manufacturer, develops his new Iron Man suit, and puzzles both his business partner (Jeff Bridges in great form) and executive assistant (Gwyneth Paltrow). Director Jon Favreau geeks out in fun ways with the hardware, but never lets it overpower the movie, and there's always a goofy one-liner or a slapstick pratfall around to break the tension. As for Downey, he doesn't get to jitterbug around too much in his improv way, but he brings enough of his unpredictable personality to keep the thing fresh. And listen up, hardcore Marvel mavens: even if you know the Stan Lee cameo is coming, you won't be able to guess it until it's on the screen. It all builds to a splendid final scene, with a concluding line delivery by Downey that just feels absolutely right.--Robert Horton

(Liven Up Game Night)
(lots of fun)
(So Fun!) I teach children with language-based learning disabilities, and my reading class loves bananagrams! Its a great game to play whether you have 5 or 50 minutes. I have altered the rules a little with my class, and allowed them to work in pairs rather than alone. Its amazing how their confidence in spelling increases when they have a fun manipulative game to play! If you like to play scrabble, you will like bananagrams. It's fast and fun as well as challenging to play. We just broke this game out two weeks ago and have introduced all our friends to it. We like that we can all play at the same time, that the person who goes out first is seldom the winner and that there really is a level playing field. Great Game! my granddaughter has lots of fun playing with the tiles and you can see the look of understanding as we use the letters to spell words. My daughter got this for her birthday and my husband and I play it after the kids go to bed. It's so fun. The kids love it too!! Calling all word lovers! (awesome fun)
(GeoAir Airport is Great for Kids!)
(Not much to it but my son loves it)
(Love Geotrax Airport) When I first received the package, I found a bonus not listed in the product page. It comes with a free Geotrax 3 series DVD (with GeoAir). Setting up ---------- There are not many pieces in the box. The steps to construct the control tower with "air" tracks are pretty short too. However, I found two major flaws with the plastic moulding. First and most important flaw is the blue main base of the toy. Yes, an adult is needed to setup the pieces (just like Geotrax Grand central station that I bought previously for my son too). But getting the control tower all the way into the blue main base piece needs a great amount of force as well as a flat tip screw driver. You won't be able to force the control tower in unless you insert the screw driver to pry for more space. The slot for the control tower is smaller than the control tower, plastic moulding not precise! The second but more minor problem is the yellow gate. It does not fit securely onto the blue main base piece again due to lack of precision in plastic moulding. When your kid plays the toy, there's a chance the gate will come off frequently. The bundled plane needs 3 AAA battery and the infra-red remote uses 3 AAA too. Be prepared to use rechargeable or get more batteries if your child plays it frequently. Playing ------- The remote is fairly easy for a kid to handle. It only has 2 buttons, one to start the plane moving on the track, the other to stop the plane moving on the track. The plane itself has a red button (with light) to on or off it. My younger two year old is able to handle the plane and remote. The sound given off by the remote when the buttons are pressed is loud and clear, simulating the airplane flying and slowing down. It's quite fun at first to see the plane going up the track and suddenly rolling down. Your kid may also like lifting the pilot up the control tower. But without extending the track by getting add-ons or buying more planes, kids may find the toy boring after a while. Recommendation -------------- I see value for money for this toy since there is a remote control and most kids will get to learn something extra. Oh, and it comes with a free DVD (each series is pretty short though). But the plastic moulding could be more precise to make the toy easier to setup and maintain. great toy! My 3 year old loves it. It gives more excitement than just having trains. This is our first Geotrax/GeoAir Product we own.
My brother bought this toy for my son's 3rd birthday - we put it together easily, it wasn't difficult to assemble at all. When my son woke up and found it, he immediately figured out to push the "green" button on the remote to make it go, and the "red" button to make it stop. He loves playing with it, and the ease of use makes it very fun for him. Educationally he was using the concepts, up and down, twis around, colors, and fine motor skills to push the buttons.
The only downside is the airplane is "slightly" hard to push down on the tracks, but I think after a few days he'll get it.
All in all I think this is a fantastic toy and I highly recommend it. I think my son has some more "Geo" items in hs future!
My 4 yr old son saw this on a commercial and wanted it and to him it was no disappointment - he loves it. He plays with it constantly and I have to admit it is kind of cool and really added something special to his existing set. It just isnt made as durable as I would have liked and it doesnt actually hook up to his existing tract - you probably need the barn or the bridge for that. I wouldnt say that its worth [...] as it just doesnt seem like its made all that well, but if you ask my son he'd say its worth twice that. So you have to look at it through the eyes of the young. My 2 boys aged 2 and 4 love all of their Geotrax trains, planes and helicopters. This airport teaches a new task of attaching the airplane to the track and controlling the flying in all sorts of directions, including upside down. We love the realistic sounds and durability of the Geotrax system. Both boys learned quickly how to use it correctly including putting the tracks together and of course taking them apart. We like the airport better than the previous airport, that we also have, but miss having a helicopter. My boys also love the Geotrax movies,a little silly but a good teamwork message is taught in them. Kids' imaginations can reach for the skies as they create their very own GeoTrax world. The GeoAir High Flyin' Airport brings an all-new way to expand the GeoTrax world. With so many ways to play, this set includes a main tower with a kid-activated elevator, three bays where the plane can fuel up, fix up and board passengers, a security gate and drop-off platform, and the most "elite" team in all of GeoTown -- Eagle 1 R/C jet plane and his pilot Captain Wright. The pilot figure can sit and ride right inside the plane.GeoAir R/C planes simply clip onto the flexible GeoAir track and fly around the entire set, doing loops, swoops and daredevil dives. Activate the plane and sound effects using the easy-to-operate kid controls on the new R/C controller. With this set, connect the nine included pieces to form ten feet of GeoAir track; then attach it to the tower and runway to form a "figure nine." You can expand your GeoAir set in two ways: connect the GeoAir track to another GeoAir site, or connect the GeoTrax ground track to the entire GeoTrax rail and road world. Additional GeoAir sets sold separately. Requires six "AAA" batteries, not included. Measures 36"L x 15"W x 33"H. Then snap Jumbo onto the track and set him in motion. The remote control has two buttons, so kids can set Jumbo spinning forward or backward on the air track loop. Designed to be easy for kids to grasp with two hands, the controller is shaped like a real plane's controller for increased fun. Durable, Colorful, and Easy-to-Expand It's easy to see why the GeoTrax system is a big hit with both parents and kids. A durable, colorful set that promises to jump-start active imaginations, the High Flyin' Airport offers stations around the base of the tower to inspire adventures below the air track. Kids can fill up a gas tank, set stairs for passengers to board a plane, or keep an eye on the security gate. The Pilot Jim figure can sit inside the Jumbo plane, ride the moving elevator to the top of the control tower, or wait for a train ride home. And the plane itself can be pushed along or driven with the remote control, providing lots of options for creative play. When friends, siblings, and parents want to get involved in the action, they may be disappointed that this set only includes one vehicle and one figure. But since the airport is compatible with other sets in the GeoTrax system, you can expand it to create a whole GeoTrax community with more vehicles, figures, and places for them to visit. Whether you have one set or many, GeoTrax offer a great opportunity for future pilots and engineers to play alone or cooperatively. What's in the Box Main tower, terminal base, traffic control top, loading station, air track with tabs, air track with support, four standard air track pieces, security gate, trestle base, trestle post, remote control, Jumbo jet, and pilot Jim figure.
