(Nice statuette) (Altair's action figure) (Altair by NECA) (Detailed, nice figurine) It doesnt look a thing like altair. his skin color is much darker, and his clothes is more darker white than it is supposed to be. there are also a ton of small pieces that can be lost very easily. there are 4 throwing knives, one short sword, and one long sword, and the hidden blade of course. (cannot be detached) Any way, it is still a good figure. A quite good representation of Altair, quite detailed but could have been better. Posability is not a quality of this Action Figure, it's quite static, the only really posable articulations are the shoulders which can be spread till the arm is parallel with the shoulders and rotated 360°. the head turns just some degrees to left and right and elbo articulation is nearly non-existent. The torso turns not much more than the head and the legs turn at the knee and ankle to some degree. Also the open hand (at least in my model) does not fit with the wrist ball joint since the hole is too small and I broke the dagger on the back 60 seconds afert unpacking it, just avoid puting it into its sheat. Overall a quite good statuette to put near your gamediscs but try not to play with it... Let's face it, really the only reason you are probably going to buy this is because you like the Assassin's Creed video game. The figure is truly well done in its sculpt and paint job. The figure comes with a short sword, belt daggers, and long sword that are removeable and also a replaceable right hand (one is an open hand, the second is used to hold the weapons). The stealth blade on the left wrist slides out. I have not tried to pull the throwing knives from their sheaths because I don't want to lose them. The figure has articulation at the ankles, knees, hips, waist, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and neck. Unfortunately, the knee joints have little play in them and the hips have even less so poseability is severely limited. With better movement in these two joint areas, the figure would be greatly improved. Also the swapable right hand will pop off too easily if bent at certain angles. As far as a display figure though, it's simply amzaing. If you collect game tie-in figures then this is absolutely worth adding to a display with say God of War Golden Fleece Kratos, GEARS OF WAR MARCUS FENIX, and Halo 3 Master Chief. I've never played Assassin's Creed, I wanted this figure because I liked the character design. Compared to other NECA action figures I own, the paint job here is the cleanest, generally I've noticed paint jobs done by NECA are very random in quality. All of the details are excellent, swords, daggers, hidden knives could all be taken from their compartments. Definitely the best quality paint job I've seen from NECA. Here's hoping that the sequel to the game won't have anymore of the glitches I keep reading about. Very well made figurine with great attention to details. All the swords are detachable, the long sword and short sword, you can put those in the hand and Altair will look like he's ready to fight. Throwing knives are too small to be held in the figurine's hands. All the limbs are movable except for the knees which you can only bend a little bit, so it makes a bit difficult to good posture other than just standing up straight or knees bent a little bit (but it wouldn't stand up with knees bent). Definitely he need help to transform it, which took me about 8 minutes to convert it to the truck. He loves trucks so now he is happily playing with the truck and I will teach him how to do the transform later. So, i won't suggest you just give it to a 5-yr old and expect him to do the transform at the beginning (some kids might but I believe majority need help from adult). I'll see how well he can do the transform later then decide whether to continue buy this kind of toy to him. This particular line of Transformers is just awful. We bought Optimus Prime and Bumblebee for our 4 year old son... Based on the packages suggestion this is a 4+ toy, with a difficulty of 2 out of 4. My son is very mechanically inclined, as am I and my husband. This toy is next to impossible to transform from robot form to vehicle form. parts snap off, and don't naturally pop into transformation position. Lots of twisting, and force is required to get any semblance of the characters. Very frustrating for both the child and the parent. Pay the extra money and get one of the Universe Transformers, which click, and transform easily. I know these aren't the Transformers of *my* childhood, those were die cast and could take a beating, but for the cost, these should be higher quality than this. This figure is well articulated, with no loose joints or falling limbs on mine. The detail is excellent and looks like he came straight out of battle in the videogame, with scuff marks present on his armor. The included laser rifle is beefy looking and the frag grenade is a nice touch. It could be easy to lose the peg that allows him to hang the rifle on his back. I recently started collecting well articulated / detailed figures from my favorite anime/games and am glad to have this in my collection. I ordered a series 2 odst and its left arm fell of:( i JUST got this series 2 master chief and gess what?!? Its RIGHT arm fell of. The part where it bends.I dont know what spawn toys are pullin but this is a out rage. Very well made McFarland product, awesome action figures. Made for the mature and small handed person alike. Durable and fun. Upsides: very detailed to the point of having battle damage on the chest, weapon is quite detailed as well, stands easily without assistance Downsides: doesn't include the shotgun that was pictured on the box, I don't know if this is limited to mine but the rear codpiece armor comes off very easily making the legs fall off, it does take some pushing to get the grenade stored, kinda difficult to pose with the laser, and the helmet&chest pieces do not remove (that I could see, could very well be wrong about that) All in all, this is a good Master Chief. Of course, I only have this and a Combat Elite. I'm happy with him and his detailing. Highly detailed. I liked the feature of a movable thumb on on the hand that holds the trigger. Difficult to set up the position shown in the picture. I spent a long time trying to figure out how to set up the figure shown in the product picture. The weapons, the grenade and and the gun can not be fixed to the body of the figure easily. There is a small removable plastic piece that sticks out of the weapons for them to be attached to the body. That piece can not be inserted completely into neither the body of the figure nor the weapon itself, which destroys the over all look with the high quality details on the weapons and the figure. Extremely poor construction. This toy was great! I loved it! Pros: He could hold his gun perfectly, armor snapped on tight even after removal, he was flexible, he could stand on his own without support, the battle rifle was very detailed! (It'd Cool) This figure is cool but I kept on putting the Beam Rifle upside down like how I put my Scout shoulder armor piece up-side down too. His shoulder pieces come off easily so if you wanna buy a spartan with EVA armor be sure it's not the color of white like this one is. The product did not arrive in the specified time that it was suppossed to; and when it did finally come, it had a broken thumb on the right hand. Then, to top it off, I sent an e-mail concerning this to the seller and never got a response. I don't think I will be ordering anything else from this company. I was very disappointed and so was my son...it was a birthday gift for him. We just bought this toy today and found it to be of annoyingly poor quality. First off, the ankle joint is stuck twisted, giving him a permanent clubbed foot stance. Secondly, the rifle cannot fit into the right hand properly and he can only "shoot" sideways. Thirdly, the leg joints are cock-eyed not lining up correctly, and also the torso joint is floppy. All these problems were very frustrating to my nephew, who used his allowance money that he worked hard for, only to get a toy of very inferior quality. Needless to say he was very upset, and I can't blame him. I am surprised to find this lack of quality in a McFarlane product, and we will probably not buy anymore of these Halo 3 action figures again. The only reason that we gave it a "2" instead of a "1" is because it does look good in the box, but that's about it. Let me first start out by saying that this is a great figure to look at. He is a detailed figure; you can see all the lines and grooves of his armor and weapons. Though he may look detailed, his left leg is loose beyond all imagination. The leg is loose due to the fact that the joint that connects the leg to the body wants to fall out. Since the leg is so loose, it is almost impossible to get him to stand, let alone pose him in a variety of positions. Also, the holes behind his torso armor piece is not deep enough, therefore when you try to put in the peg for his grenade, it can and will most likely fall out while you're trying to pose him. In conclusion, this figure is great to look at, but I advise that you buy him at a toy store and open him up on the spot as to prevent getting a figure with a leg that's as wobbly as a noodle. I thought it was pretty neat that much of the armor types for multiplayer was released. I didn't play with it so much as it just stands there. Worth the money if you play the game enough though I suppose. The only thing I noticed is that the torso doesn't seem to move, or to want to, so he looks a little hunched McFarlane Spartan Soldier Eva is a highly trained warrior. It is individually less powerful than the master chief. This has alternate armor and helmet styles worn by the soldier which is unique to Halo 3. The detailing, from his facial expression, to the shades of his hair, to the FFAC costume is extremely good. And then the sword, of course. Like others, I too am a little disappointed in the fact that the (very cool) sword is too heavy-or his arm is too weak-for him to hold it correctly. I often display it propped in both hands to compensate. But that is a mild, "I wish," and doesn't make me regret owning the figure in the least. It's a must have for FF fans! When I got Cloud out of the box I was happy the detail was very good b/c I was kinda afraid they would miss something and make him not look right.Fans of Final Fantasy will love having this. Never really intended to play with it just pose him against Sephiroth. My problem came when as I had read his left arm is kinda weak so you are limited to the amount of poses with the sword. I put him on the display it came with and when I change his pose on his legs he pops off the display.I am sure with work I can correct this. Overall fans will enjoy this and maybe kids. Originally I bought to play with my kids but its too nice to do that. What a wonderful figure; his clothes are really great; straight out of the movie. Some say his arm isn't strong enough to hold the giant sword so I took mine out of the display case, and posed him with his arm up, and the sword in front but up over his head and it is holding. Some remark about the articulation points showing on his arm. Well they show because what he wears in the movie has his arm showing so to be true to Cloud they made him exactly like the movie hence the pose able arm showing too. I would never play with my figure and in no way would my 5 grandchildren, but it would be sturdy enough for children to play with. This figure is perfect to represent my Final Fantasy VII game as I have one with his bike to represent the movie characters. I bought this and another for my nephews and they were thrilled with it.
