I ordered this for my grandson's 8th birthday. He really likes Indiana Jones at the moment. He has enjoyed playing with this toy and uses his imagination a lot.
I have a 3 1/2 year old and 7 year old (both boys). We put this together right away. They both played with it for maybe 30 minutes and haven't touching it since. I think that if your kids are always playing with play sets, they will love it. My boys are a little more of the outdoors running around or video game type. I think it is very detailed and fun IF your kids will sit and play with it.
Wowsers. If you told me that Korean children who born almost twenty years after the last Indiana Jones film would dig this playset so much, I wouldn't have believed you - and yet, here we are.

I am an American teaching English in a small Korean town. I bought this playset as an Indy fan and to show it to my kids. They went nuts over it. They love the 'boulder action' especially, and never hesitate to flip over the 'quicksand' feature and the hidden stairs.

Would I have liked a few more features? Sure, maybe like the throne room that appears at the end of the picture, or maybe some kind of 'escape route' the figures could slide out of. Also, the 'whip swing' that the characters can haul about on pulled off after less than an hour - be ready re-tie it. But you know what? My students love the thing. And that alone makes it a great toy.

It comes with two figures, a well-detailed Indy and an Ugga (?) Warrior. It can actually make for an iteresting conversation as to where the warrior is from - Peru, I think - which can then lead to discussions about geography (the kids think he's an early Native American).

I picked this up on Amazon for an amazing 24.99. Definately worth the price.
This was just what I was looking for for my son's 6th birthday. It is good quality and sturdy, has held up to over a month's constant play. Really let's the childs imagination go to work.[...]
And they were unable to walk away from this play set for three hours on the first day, and have continued to play with this set, despite getting oodles of holiday gifts. It is good quality, with an Indy and a bad guy and just enough moving parts to encourage them to fill in the action. That said, shop around!! the price on this varies wildly. We got it on the low side, which is just how I like it.

Much as I said in my other review, the sculpting is excruciatingly accurate (as is the sword by game reference), and there's not much to dislike. Arbiter doesn't articulate a whole lot, and he seems a bit small compared to the other figures (Chief in particular).
These qualms aside, one couldn't ask or a more realistic depiction of arguably the coolest character in the Halo universe. Elite and Arbiter fans rejoice - this is no joyride.

I purchased this toy for my son who loves Superman. I know that some super serious toy collectors would not let their child play with a toy like this but this is now his favorite toy by far. With all of the moveable body parts this figure is very realistic and my son loves pretending he is flying around the house. Would recommend this toy to anyone. Be careful of the alien head that comes with this figure though, I have not let my son see it so he is not scared of it or see it on the Superman body because it is pretty scary and I do not want him afraid of Superman.

My grandson was very happy to get this and he plays with it a lot. It was nice to not have to wait long for it to come.
If your can still find one, grab it! It's a good toy and rarely misses action during play time. I'm not sure if it's to scale, but I've seen 'A New Hope' and I cant tell. It looks awesome with great detail and a couple of great missiles. There are also retractable blasters. The cabin is easy to access, but Darth Vader sits pretty loose in there and tends to rattle around the cabin. The wings have a tendancy to fall off, but the kids have no trouble reattaching them.

OK, the wings stay on like a loose tooth the first month, after a few 1000 wing attachment tries - these wings flop everywhere. I used to like this toy because it looks cool, but my 5 yo son is always fixing it, I get depressed just watching him waste his life fixing another garbage Hasbro Star Wars toy - and don't give me that line "Well the wings are designed to break away..."

Kids toys should be made to take a beating. Period. I don't like the pc belief that these toys are actually designed to break - I mean, is a kid going to be killed if they screw on the wings??? Most likely 99% of them would enjoy this toy more.

I hate the fact that fans let Hasbro get away with murder by dishing out Star Wars toys that fall apart. Thank God Hasbro isn't in the parachute business...but Star Wars fans would probably still buy them while plummeting to their death...

Lego at least gets Star Wars right.
I bought this for my son as a gift for Christmas when he was still 4. He loves space ships and still plays with it at least once a week. I bought him the Y-Wing Fighter for his 5th birthday and we play together 1-2 nights a week with me being one space ship and him being the other one. Both space ships have been extremely durable and have an amazing amount of detail. The wings come off as a way to prevent causing permanent damage to the space ship if it gets stepped on or dropped. It is also fun to take one off on purpose to pretend the space ship has been damaged and needs to be fixed.
This has to be my favorite of the collection. Its durable for the kids but still extremly cool for the collector. This being the last of the Lucas saga, I would not be surprised that its value will increase. I dont really care about the value, all I know is my son loves being the one with Darth Vaders Tie Starfighter.

These lightsabers are fun for the same reason that all lightsabers are fun, they make you an instant Jedi Knight.

The "blade" extends by gravity or force. When fully contracted, a small spring clip keeps it that way so that the handle can be hung on a belt or wasteband in true Jedi fashion. Grab the lightsaber, press the button to release the clip, give it a good swing and your ready for action!

For the price, these were a real bargin. Sometimes the spring clip doesn't work so well, and they don't light up or extend automatically, but I would have no expectation from something so inexpensive (besides, no batteries = lighter weight toy). All I asked is that you can run around the house with them and they don't break on first contact. They have delivered.
Santa delivered this to my five year old son and this has been the biggest hit ever! He loves them! He wants to take them everywhere we go. We took it to the store the other day and a little girl in the store didn't want to give it back to him. We had to chase her down. It has little clips that allow you to hang from your waistband and this is exactly what my son does! My husband, daughter and son have lots of fun having duels with them. What a buy at $[...] for two!!! Boys, girls, moms and dads...everyone loves them!
My 4-year old boy likes it. A little bit too heavy for him but that does not bother him too much. The construction seems to be solid enough. The switch that releases the lock of the "blade" is kind of hard to move, but my son soon learned how to use it. It still often takes him two swings to extend the blade though.
For my sons Birthday we bought all the kids a lightsaber to fight evil. The product is durable and the kids had a blast playing with them. This is a great price for two lightsabers.

The "wow factor" of the iSobot is formidable. The first time you see this little guy moving around with his elaborate mechanical fluency, it knocks your socks off. "Wow!" you think. "It's a real robot!"

But, it's not. Yes, it's range of motion and articulation are stunning (but for a robot that can stand perfectly on one leg, its walking is kind of underwhelming). Though, mostly iSobot just runs through a lot of pre-programmed schtick that gets a little tired after a while. When you actually try to do things with it in Program Mode, you quickly discover its limitations. iSobot can really only do what it's been built to do and adult robot hobbyists are likely to exhaust that pretty quick. And, while it is fairly durable, it's far too sensitive and expensive to let little kids play with it like a regular toy.

So what is iSobot? An amazing demonstration of what is possible in bipedal robotic design. As such, it is impressive and fascinating -- but it's not something you can tinker with to explore the frontiers of home robotics or let your kids bang around. iSobot is curiosity. A high-tech knick-knack. A really, really awesome one to be sure -- but just understand that when you buy this, you're buying a piece of history rather than something imported from the future.

If you're an early adopter-type drawn to techno-toys that are way ahead of their time which seem quaint in retrospect, you must have iSobot in your collection. Otherwise, the "wow factor" might wear off in a few weeks leaving you with "buyer's remorse."

This is a fun robot, being the robot collector that I am...but be warned. Only use the recharagable batteries it comes with. Any other battery used will be sucked dry in minutes, rechargeable or not. But it does some amazing things and if you are into robots, this one is for you.
I bought I-SOBOT a couple of weeks ago&everyone, kids&adults, love it!
The only drawback is the batteries, they don't last that long&take what seems like forever to charge. Because he is such fun we play with him till the batteries are low every time. He even has a cute routine when the batteries are low where he "dies"&shuts himself off. I do wish he had sensors&was bigger as then he'd be stratospherically fun.
This is a great buy for the price!
My grandson loves the Tomy I-Sobot. He llearned hopw to use it quickly and has fun with it every day. He is 5 so the recommended age may be too conservative.
The talking aspect of the robot is a little hard to understand and sometimes he has a hard time doing what he is suppose to. He doesn't always understand. Otherwise, my son has lots of fun with him, he is amazing! There are also hidden commands you can find on youtube!

(Great Shake N Go Car!)

If you are not familiar with Fisher Price's line of shake n go cars, these are great toys for preschool aged kids. my 3 yo first got some of these maybe last year and has expanded his collection to include 2 Shake N Go race tracks and numerous cars.
Basically, you shake the vehicle, put it on the ground and it races off across the floor. The superman car also has sounds and says things like "Faster! More Powerful!" as it races off.
The car is durable, has endured multiple crashes with no visible signs of wear and tear, and the batteries last pretty long considering the amount of use we've given it.

The Superman car is also compatable with the shake n go race tracks that we have.

The Shake 'N Go Racers Superman Racer is a licensed car based on the character Superman. The basic play pattern consists of shaking the car, which activates a motion switch. This motion switch relays the amount of shaking to the internal IC, which in turn plays sound effects that sound like an engine "revving up". As the child shakes the car more, the engine "revs" higher and higher until it is fully charged up. When the child places the car on the ground, there is switch in the front axle that when triggered, engages the motor and the car takes off with the IC playing the appropriate sound effects. There is a direct correlation between the amount of shaking and the speed of the motor and the length it runs.
