Has had a lot of fun playing with it. these toys are fine. but i did give it a four not exactly for the toys themselves but the description did not tell us that the horse was rock hard and the smaller animals were concealing items: stickers, hair accessories, barette, ink pen (washable), one is even a comb. - besides the brush for the dolls. Both the jessie doll and bullseye dolls have doll hair to brush and play with. like i said theres nothing wrong with the toys, only that if i had known this info I would have bought them separate to get the plush bullseye and the pull string jessie. (this jessie has a fake ring for the pull string there is NOT a pull sting on this doll.) Probably would have purchased this when my son was a bit older instead since there are many many small pieces. My daughter loves Jessie from Toy Story 2, and we were very excited to find this playset on Amazon for her birthday. She really enjoys playing with this doll and is very proud of her (she is a frequent visitor to show and share at school.) The sleeves of the outfits are a little difficult for my 4 year old to manage when changing the clothes, but otherwise the clothing is very easy to change. The doll is very poseable. She can't really ride Bullseye very well, but she CAN ride Breyer horses quite well. This seller was GREAT! He got the item out very quickly-- we ordered a little last-minute and sent a message letting tyhem know we were trying to get it for a birthday and they sent personal emails to us to let us know we would have it-- and we did. The packaging was in mint condition so we were able to wrap it in the packaging (sometimes when we have bought toys from resellers we have found the packaging slightly damaged-- not this time!) He really likes it. The carrier has a storage bin for the aircraft which cuts down on the clutter. This toy does nothing. I thought it came with lights and sound but it is just a very large piece of plastic. My 6 six year old has not played with it once. He likes the planes that came with it but that's about it. I think there is a similar toy out there that does have the lights and sound but this one is not it, even though it looks exactly the same. I would not recommend this product unless you like large, gray plastic things that take up lots of room and provide no fun. After seeing the toy, I'm not even sure if it had lights and sound that it would really be that much fun anyway. This toy is very durable and a great value. There are 6 diecast jets included too. My son has spent hours playing with this toy. It is about the only toy that can take him from his video games! We are very pleased. I bought this for my 6 year old son. He enjoys it and has spent a lot of time playing with it. It doesnt appear to be super durable but for the price it is a decent toy. It is good for using their imagination, which is always a plus. (High in Quality, Imagination and FUN!!) (This is awesome!) This is the best toy my 3 year old daughter has; it gives enormous amounts of pleasure to both her and me. I held off getting it for a long time, because it costs more than most toys I buy. But I am so glad I finally got it. It keeps her occupied and happy for hours and hours. Played with it for about nine hours yesterday, with various snack breaks. She plays with it in all kinds of different ways -- setting up all the animals inside or outside the ark; feeding them; putting them to sleep; making them act out scenes from various different movies. I love the accessories, all the different food for the animals, dishes and barrels and broom and buckets. We have various other playmobil bits and pieces from e-bay, but this is really the easiest way to get a whole lot of animals all together; plus the ark itself is really great. Also makes a great bath toy (my daughter is a reluctant bather, she gets into the bath much more readily if she can have the ark in too). Also I love that it's entirely gender-neutral; it's not pink, and it's not about guns or violence; it doesn't force the child into any particular role, you can play with it any number of ways. It is his favorite toy and he always wants his "Yiayia" as he calls me to paly with him. Excellent as usual Playmobil quality. Hours and hours of fun! This set is HUGE! Many little pieces, many animals and the boat is huge! By boys LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this toy! I find it in the bathroom, playroom, tv room. It's home is in their bedroom closet but it never finds it's way back there because it is always out. The animals and the boat are in constant use. Yes it is a lot of money for plastic, but playmobil quality cannot be beat! We have many playmobil sets and the other guys and animals have all found their way onto the ark. It has even endured collisions with the Playmobil airplane! Playmobil toys are one of those collections you spend more money trying to duplicate so that you don't have to spend the money on it. Then finally you realize that there is no substitute! My boys always play with their playmobil sets. I only wish we had a little girl so I could have bought the dollhouses! We had an older model Pirate Ship (bought second hand) that I was very impressed with so we forked up the cash and bought my son the Noah's Ark (something he wanted for 2 years). We were all very impressed with the wonderful quality and details that make this toy so outstanding. It just doesn't compare with the plastic toys(figurines and animals) that he usually plays with. Both the Pirate Ship and Noah's Ark float on water, which just adds to the fun, and have different levels and compartments with so many related accessories that just makes playing a more authentic and richer experience. We all know that for young children, pretend play is important in fostering imagination and creativity. Just in case you're not familiar with the toys...we have lots of fun swapping the hats, hair, beards&some clothing accessories around with different characters. I just get so impressed with all the different accessories that are made with great detail. I think that it's worth the price: high in quality and imagination and fun. Next year, we'll collect the ZOO!! We saw this out of the box at our local specialty toy shop, my son is eleven, but wants the newly updated big pirate ship, but this boat is HUGE! It would make a great toy for the pool as it floats as well, the animals are great, but we already have most of the playmobil animals, as we have ordered them as "add ons" from the company! This boat is so cool! Playmobil is so terrific, and our three boys have played with it for years, the castles, western forts and pirates. My son takes the ships and boats outside in the summer and floats them in the pool with playmobil guys and his GI joes too. I have been buying Playmobil for the boys for years, and I guarantee that it is the one toy that your kids will stick with well past Christmas, yes, we buy hotwheels, action figures, but legos and playmobil are what they stay with, in the long run. My 3 year old grandson has a great interest in sharks and loves to play with them and take them to Show&Tell at preschool. He is often found wandering aimlessly with a small smirk on his face calling out "Arrr me hearty!" I love Imaginext toys because they are good for small children and are very durable. My kids all love them and they are great. This boat comes with a little pirate guy in it and he fits into these little foot shaped holes. When the child turns the figure on the boat, it makes the sail and rudder move a bit. (Nice Transformer, although hastily made...) (Too advanced for young children) (Alright, but not as good as the others.) (A few things i have to say) I am six years old. I really like this Transformer. He is really cool! He is easier to transform than some of the other ones. He stands up better than most of the others ones also. He is pretty awesome. Transformers toys usually have been designed for children. Some of us grew up with them and still enjoy them... I'm 31 and I'm still hooked! I don't have many TF toys, but I focus on imports like Masterpiece (Optimus, Starscream and Megatron), Binaltech + a lot of Yamato Macross Valkyries (OK, these last are not TF... except for Jetfire). So, I'm offering an adult collector's point of view. I feel that the TF Movie line of toys was very hastily made and that they focused in trying to make them look good (and they all look great in both modes -Starscream's fighter jet mode aside), but: 1. All TF Movie toys offer limited poseability or articulation points COMPARED to other transformers lines (the recent "Classics" line or older lines like Robots in Disguise, Beast Wars, etc.). For example, other TF lines in the past used a lot of ball joints that offer more poseability than swivel joints. Ball joints are practically gone in most of the TF Movie line of toys, so they offer limited, "good enough" poseability that, although not not on par with older TF lines, is still way better than Gen 1. 2. Designs -especially robots, are NOT exactly the same as the ones seen in the movie. Most of the details are based on not-final sketches (Ironhide's and Ratchet's chest for example), or else the final versions were too difficult to translate as a toy. Ratchet's chest in the toy version has the front end of a Hummer vehicle turned upside down. In the movie, the chest has the front of the car upside (the car's hood is on top part of the chest, not below), but only the fenders turned upside down. I've been trying to figure how to make it work in a toy, and I've still not found a way. 3. Paint applications are quite poor in Hasbro's Transformers line, relying mostly in the color of the molded plastic. As a result, the toys end up looking... like toys. Case: Hasbro Alternator Smokescreen versus Takara Binaltech Smokescreen (same mold, same deco, same character). Hasbro's toy is molded in a blue plastic that doesn't match the areas painted in metallic blue. Takara uses some metal parts and the whole toy is painted with the same metallic blue paint that makes it look like a die-cast scaled car. Also, Takara's plastic is more "rigid"... it just feels better quality... but is also more expensive. Paint applications are a weird move to save pennies for Hasbro, since they go through a lot of work in fine-detailing the molds. In Ratchet, yellow-green paint applications on the doors and one arm don't match the rest of the toy. The head is painted remarkably simply. Dry-brushing or paint-washing some areas will greatly enhance the molded detail. Ratchet's Pros: - Very good design in vehicle mode and robot mode - Sturdy and stable in both modes (except some parts) - Quite good adaptation of the robot and vehicle modes Ratchet's Cons: - Complicated transformation. Not suited for a small child. - Some pieces seem easy to break (the top rack, front and back bumpers) - Automorph mechanism in most/all TF Movie toys is easy to break - You call "that" a weapon?? FINAL THOUGHTS Ratchet and the whole TF Movie line of toys are a mix of toys designed for kids and also for an older audience, looking for a medium price point in mass market distribution. They could be better, but they would also be more expensive... Are they worth getting? Well, they ARE Transformers after all, and they do look great in the movie! That's enough reason for me! I bought this for my six year old thinking that he would be able to transform it himself since it's rated for ages 5 and up but it's not easy. It took me a while to figure it out using the practically useless directions that it comes with. My sixteen year old has to transform it for him all the time, how much fun is that? Also, there's pieces that pop off too easily and makes it difficult to transform. Ratchet is the last of the Voyager Autobot toys I have picked up and I have to say I was a little disappointed. His transformation is simplistic and not as detailed as the other toys. With all the other toys I had to keep refering to the instructions but with ratchet I did not. He's really bulky and it looks like the makers didn't really put a lot of effort into his design. Also his weapons are pretty crummy. His hand can change into an ugly green dull axe that looks like a butterfly and the roof rack turns into a shield/claw that looks quite ridiculous. It would have been cooler if he had the saw he had in the movie. First: blackout is a good toy Second: He is on the bulky side and i dont like the color Third: i dont like how his only weapion is a roof rack because when you think about someone picking up a roof rack and bashing someone in the face with it its not going to do a lot only piss the dude off Forth: Decepticons rule!!!!!
