customer 's review (Great hit with my grandson)
(A motorcycle Transformer!)
(A female transformers that loves to hunt)
(great fun)
(A GIRL Transformer!) My grandson had requested this toy for his first visit to our new home in Illinois. We couldn't find it in stores but it was on Amazon. He has played with it non-stop since we gave it to him. I don't understand Transformers but he loves them. He will be 5 in a few weeks. My first impression of Arcee was eager anticipation. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the motorcycle Autobot! That anticipation was not quite greeted with actual performance. In motorcycle mode, Arcee is simply awesome. However, one quickly finds out that it's difficult to figure out what to do with those motorcycle tires. She's relatively easy to transform, but she doesn't pose very well in robot mode. I do, however, have to say that she has one of the coolest weapons of all of the transformers. Also, pieces don't break off, which is definitely a plus. Watch for price gouging. This one usually retails for around $10. Arcee is one of the few female transformer out there, and she can definitely carry a fight. The movie version of Arcee is a hunter. When there is a target that needs to be taken care of, she'll hunt them down until she catches her prey. For the decepticons, that's bad news since they are currently her new prey, and she always catches her prey. Transformation is great ! My boys love this. The best news is that it is sturdy and is easy enough for a Mom to do, if the kids can't figure it out. My daughter asked for a "girl transformer" for her 4th birthday (and a pink fishing pole). It took me some effort to find this, but she was really happy to have her OWN Transformer (she has a 6 year old brother). She isn't able to transform it herself, but she loves it just the same. The joints are made to pop apart, rather than break, which is great. The only thing I really dislike is that if you lose the crossbow, your motorcycle no longer has a seat. The projectile is just the tailpipe and not critical, but the seat helps hold the motorcycle together. So far, we've had it a month and still have all the parts. ARCEE is a born hunter. Before joining the AUTOBOTS, she passed her time tracking turbofoxes on CYBERTRON with some of the other speedsters, taking great pride in approaching as close as she could to them, quickly and silently, before tagging them with her bow. She’s brought those skills with her to Earth, where she passes the days stalking unsuspecting DECEPTICONS until she draws close enough to strike. Convert this AUTOBOT figure from she-robot mode to motorcycle mode and back again! It features a converting crossbow with a firing projectile in robot mode! customer 's review (A genuine disappointment)
(Definitely a let down)
(Well, it's a tricorder at least)
("Tricorder readings indicate extreme disappointment ahead, Captain.") I bought both models of tricorder and both were poorly assembled and painted but with different flaws. This one has a huge blob of paint texture across the silver front bar. It looks like a paintbrush was applied just before it dried. The voice of McCoy sounds like one of the chipmunks. I could care less about the scanner (it looks good for what it is) but the basic fit and finish of this item is far below the quality I've come to expect from other AA prop toys. Should I cancel my preorder for the TWOK phaser now while I still can? I was one of those who pre-ordered this item over a year ago and was let down by AA/DST. Unlike their previous releases of the TOS Communicator and Phaser (which were very good, especially for the price point) the Medical Tricorder was shamefully disappointing. Not sure why they dropped the ball on it but will definitely affect how I view future AA/DST releases. As the other two reviews state, the moire motor sound (like a coffee grinder), the display and the hand held scanner are outrageously chincy and should be enough for AA/DST to recall them and make the Chinese build them correctly. Could it be that the world economy affected the toy factories over there that badly?? Mine had an additional problem which I've read elsewhere as well- the plastic handle on the lower compartment was received with a crack- would soon cause the handle to come off. Am returning mine for exchange but would rather return it entirely until they come out with a decently made version. Am thankfull for my Master Replicas version which I bought a few years back for substantially more. The impression given by the decent quality previous AA/DST products definitely lulled a lot of us into expecting much more than we got on this item. To expand on the first review: of the three props released so far, this has to be the most disappointing. The potential for something really cool is there, but it's missed. As already mentioned, the motor inside is very loud, as are the scanning sounds, in contrast to the hand scanner which is barely audible. At first I thought it was the batteries, but a fresh set did nothing to improve the volume. The internal part of the scanner rotates via a manual wheel, placed in such a way that there's no real practical way to both spin the wheel and press the sound effect button with one hand. The flip-up display head flips up smoothly, in contrast to the other two compartments which open rather jarringly. The screen shows a miniaturized version of the patient vital signs display seen in sickbay, but it's hard to look at because the two LEDs used to back-light it show through quite prominently. There are three LEDs below the square speaker, and they are very bright. Unfortunately there is no lens over them to diffuse the light, and they are hard on the eyes as well. There are three buttons located below the LEDs and these trigger two "scanning" sounds and a series of audio clips from Dr. McCoy. The middle compartment has a moir-pattern disc similar to the communicator, however the motor driving this is so loud as to interfere with the scanning and audio clips. The bottom compartment is used to hold the scanner. Take some time and line it with some foam, or you will listen to the scanner rattle around anytime you move the tricorder. The battery compartment is also located here, and requires you to open the compartment, pop open the "display rack" of memory discs (basically two rows of the same silver discs shown in the middle compartment. Then you can angle a jeweller's screwdriver in to take out the one screw and open the battery compartment itself. Use long-lasting batteries, you do not want to be doing this often. I was also disappointed to see the battery compartment for the hand scanner located on the flat "bottom" of the grip where a display should actually be.
If you absolutely need a tricorder, this isn't a bad buy. You will spend a lot of time wishing what it could have been though. I'd like to lead off by saying that this product is a good overall value considering the price point.
Now, on to the critique: The tricorder itself suffers from a sloppy paint job, loud moire motor and poor quality audio clips. The backlit screen is also pretty badly designed . . . BUT the hand scanner is the major let-down due to the virtually inaudible (way too quiet) sound effects and the total lack of a spinning motor device!
If you waited over a year to get this, I'd venture to guess that you'll be less than pleased. Rerations < Diamond Select Toys Exclusive Star Trek Classic Medical Tricorder >

The sculpt of the giant robot was very good, much better details than the one on the single large size action figure (and, it was actually taller). Unfortunately, all sculpts of Ginormica in this series are off the mark, and don't capture the personality of the character. The price was about average for a playset this size, toy prices being what they are. I do believe, however, that these toys are not designed for small children, as the figures are not durable enough, but for collectors, they're just right. Usually ships in 24 hours customer 's review (Halo 2009 Wave 1 Master Cheif) I planned on buying this figure for making stop motion animation movies. This means I needed it to be able to articulate well and be well posable. Master Chief was just that. He was well articulated and had incredible detail. A slight flaw was that the hips were "unevenly" twisted but that was easy to fix by twisting it back. The drawbacks were the weapons. They broke immediately. I had just finished opening the package and was removing the bubble shield and the top part (of the bubble shield) twisted right off! So then I thought, "well at least I have the rocket launcher." I was trying to find a way for him to hold the gun when all of a sudden the handle broke off! I was disapointed then but later I used super glue on both of the weapons and they are as good as new now. But now I am cautious when moving the parts. In humanity¿s continuing war against the fanatical armies of the Covenant, one man stands as both a beacon of hope to his people and a symbol of ultimate destruction to his enemies. That man is John-117, the Master Chief. And, armed with the Rocket Launcher, there is no place for the Covenant to hide. Rerations < Halo 2009 Wave 1 Master Chief >

Usually ships in 24 hours customer 's review (Ironhide is made of plastic...how screwed up is that??? XD)
(iron hide is iron junk)
(Ironhide Remixed) Sadly I was unable to get the first movie Ironhide, so this guy is my first (Ironhide that is...) as such his whole transformation sequence and everything is new to me (which I like to think, rather egotistically makes me better at deciding the quality of the transformation XD) (I like emoticons just FYI...sorry if that bugs you...) ANYWAY really like the transformation. Like a lot of the movie ones (I'm drawing on experience from movie 1 Jazz, Blackout, and Brawl, as well as the new Bumblebee) he has a lot of nicely independant transformation areas (meaning you can transform him like in the movie, like he's driving along and doing it or running as a robot and flipping into a truck) which for geeks like me who still play with our toys (gasp! play with toys?!?!?!) its an added plus the cannons are kind of in the middle there though. the bigger one is nice in the whole gattling spin out/spin in motion it can do, but the other one (which slides based on gravity) is kinda...tacked on I'll give you that it's there in the movie, i just wish they'd been more clever with how it moved only one automorph sequence for this guy (two technically, one on each leg) so a lot of him is the old fashioned flipping of panels and twisting around torsos (which in the case of Ironhide is rather difficult, as his whole torso rotates on an itty bitty plastic plate that fits almost 100% flush together) the automorph itself can take a little getting used to (I'm still a newbie to their whole automorph sequence of stuff...tho it seems to be located primarily in the head and legs for some reason...o.O) because it basicly rotates his wheel to his calf, slides the plate covering his shin to the inseam of his leg, and flips down both front and back for his feet, all by pulling (GENTLY!!!) on one of the aformentioned pieces (ok maybe not the wheel, but any of the other three) the cannons are kibbley, as they serve no purpose whatsoever in vehicle mode (seriously, they like, balance, on top of his pickup bed) poseablity (and playability) is awesome, as he has lots of joints and such and he stays together well in either mode. Truck mode is a little more stable, as in robot mode his waist is a little flimsy due to the nature of the pin (it goes in at an angle) but if it comes out the weight of his torso can easily reattach it (seriously mr. I-give-him-a-two just let his chest rest on his hips, the peg will find its own hole) everything has plenty of space to move too, a nice bonus in comparison to say...bumblebee (who sadly works better in voyager size...if only he was that big in the movie...)another bonus of his size is that transforming him, and sliding all the little panels around is a HECK of a lot easier than others, cause the smallest panels on him are still bigger than the biggest panels on deluxe figures (again sadly, bumblebee and brawl (Devastator?) leap to mind) overall, definately worth 23 bucks or so, as he is big, bad, and likes flowers and winking at women he scares by rocket jumping over them (kudos to any fandos who get that joke) i must say, buy buy buy (nothing like a fleet of GMC pick up trucks...XD) When I was at cedar point I bought it at walmart and when Igot back to my room. I started transforming it and the part that conects the legs to the body doesn't conect.SO IT IS JUNK or CRAP! When I landed the first movie's Ironhide two years ago, I was speechless. I found that the figure had two very solid modes while being pretty screen acurate at the same time. Now, with the new movie line, there has been some marked improvements in terms of presentation, durability, and overall fun factor. While the "new" Ironhide still has the same transformation(they kept the same formula 'cause it worked so well) there are some differences to his overall appearance. First, his paint applicant is spot-on which accents the curious choice of gray plastic in robot/vehicle mode. The door panels have have an autobot/sector 7/human alliance insignia that resembles a certain U.S. crest. The sculpt itself is pretty much the same aside from a few changes. The new head-sculpt is an improvement with more detail to the face. Also, his cannons are more detailed with a pretty cool mech-alive feature which includes the right cannon rotating and extending to fire the missle. Thus being very evocative of his movie counterpart. His transformation is fairly simple which most people should get in less than 15 min. However, the majority of the Transformers ROTF figures have ball&socket joints that do tend to pop off during trasformation but can just as easily be reconnected. "Hasblow" decided to do this for those who ocasionally get too stressed and rough trying to transform the toy. Rather than a piece breaking off, they simply pop off causing no damage except for ones pride. Overall, I highly recommend this Voyager Class Ironhide. IRONHIDE has never been happier. It¿s hard on a warrior to be on the defensive all the time, but that¿s just what most of the war was ¿ one defensive action after another. With MEGATRON defeated, and the DECEPTICONS on the run everywhere, it¿s high time the AUTOBOTS went on the offensive. Working alongside the humans to hunt anddestroy DECEPTICON hideouts around the world is the most fun he¿s had in ages. Rerations < Transformers Movie 2 Voyager Iron Hide >

customer 's review (Halo dude rocks!)
(A Broken Arm)
(Thank you, dead or alive)
(Very good and durable)
(HALO 3 FANATIC???) This Halo 3 Series Hayabusa kicks butt. I would recommend for any 9-13 year old.
I've dealt with many factory faults before, but I was disappointed when this guys' arm fell off. With a drop of glue, I was able to fix this however. Detail and appearance is outstanding as well. kinda had to be motivated to do this review...i dunno, i guess this guy just doens't gel for me...=/ i mean he is by far a great figure. all the design problems of the older series' are gone for the most part, the weakest/most breakable parts can all be snapped back on i personally had this dude's arm snap off as i was openning him from the box, but seriously, it snapped back into place like a lego and hasn't given me any trouble since all the joints are solid, they do require some working through however initially, because they are still a little stiff, although much more loose than older figures in particular the battle rifle is something of a treasure of mine, as it was very uncommon in the halo 2 figures, and it's my personal favorite weapon however that is also i think it's greatest weakness... the battle rifle FEELS too big. technicly it's to scale and all that, it just doesn't look right to me... i dunno, probably just me overall tho i really like this figure, it's very sturdy and has a nice red paint job and i just go CRAZY over oriental designs XD also, one final note, all u people who were all geeked out over the scout having too small a battle rifle u may finally relax: here is one big enough for you This toy is very good! Durability is very great. Sturdy and good! No broken parts. Not too recomended for hard play! Battle Rifle is good! Sturdy and fits EXACTLY in his hand Good figure. I'd reccomend this for ANY collector. Good addition to your collection. WE BOUGHT THIS FOR OUR 6 YEAR OLD GRANDSON. HE BEGGED US CONTINUALLY FOR IT... YES, WE GAVE IN. :) HE LOVES IT!!! HE HAS A BLAST USIING THIS WITH HIS OTHER ACTION FIGURES. IT IS VERY DURABLE. Halo follows the events of an inter-galactic war between the last surviving members of the human race and an advanced collection of alien races known as The Covenant. The first title in the series, Halo: Combat Evolved, was the flagship title for Microsoft's Xbox video game console when it was released in 2001. The game achieved both critical acclaim and financial success, selling more than 6 million copies worldwide. The Spartans are highly trained warriors. Although individually less powerful than the Master Chief, an army of Spartans is a lethal force. Unique to HALO 3 are the alternate armor and helmet styles worn by these soldiers. customer 's review (You'll be hunting for missing parts in less than 24 hours)
(Great idea, poor quality)
(the best)
(Doesn't appear to be assembled like instructions call for) My son's grandpa got him Jetstorm and Jetfire today, and in less then 24 hours we have had a hip guard fall off of both figures. One we found but can't get to reattach and one has been lost permanently. Try consoling your 4-5 year old about that on the first day they get the toy! Otherwise my son loves these figures and is learning how to read instructions, so they have some educational value. If you could pay $.[..] to replace the parts you will inevitably lose off these toys, it might be worth it! My kids have many Transformers and they love them. We buy them for all the imaginative play that they provide. I would say that most of them fall apart occasionally (some more then others). My kids are not hard on their toys and this gets to be quite frustrating at times. Jetfire and Jetstorm are by far the worst offenders. They got them today, and I would say I have reattached legs, body plates, etc. more then 30 times in one evening. :O i found him at a walmart and i loved it the best animated toy ever buy this no mater how much it costs the only cons i found in it was 1 on jetstorm and 3 on jetfire jetfire his waist guard it keep falling off and win trying to get him in safeguard one part of the waist with the leg on it falls off for jetstorm the con is not big but the chest part falls off but all ok i love the guys cool safeguard mode i love it buy it now I couldn't transform Jetfire nor Jetstorm into Safeguard. The instruction illustrations showed movements and steps not possible the way the action figures were assembled. It was very very frustrating. Maybe it's just me (and my wife) and we're too old to understand, but we cannot transform these guys!
Sorry, kid. We're returning it. :-( Created using the most advanced techniques known to autobot science, jetstorm and jetfire were cloned from tech recovered from starscream. Brought online in a secret laboratory deep beneath the surface of cyberton, they are the first autobots created specifically to battle the deceptions.
