Also, there is no instruction book or plans for things to build in this set so the kids have no guidance on what to build. Overall this set is pretty good and someone who never played with the old sets will be satisfied.』

At that age I found my child more interested in moving the trains around the track and would get frustrated if the track broke. An older toddler doesn't need these since they are able to manipulate and build different tracks. Also, these clips are hard to put on&take off the track. These are useful at any age if you are using the track on carpet instead of a flat surface.』

I only bought one box and use them for especially loose or wiggly connections. We've used them to hook some track together and then used Lego Duplo bricks to build supports for elevated track. I also sometimes put them on the track in strategic places to help keep battery powered engines from derailing - it works where I've used them, but it seems I would need to line almost the whole track to keep our engine from running off! Our imaginative 3-year-old has also taken the Shuretrack connectors and played with them alone, pretending they were sleds. Not the intended use, but he sure had fun!』

(awesome Thunder Driller) 『The Thunder Driller is awesome. I am 7 years old and it took about 1 hour to put together by myself. It is very fun to play with because both the wheels and the drill spin. When I opened it, it was much more fun than I had imagined. It is very stable and does not fall apart much. When I open the top the chain makes it hard to take off but other than that its fine. I would recommend using it on flat surfaces or wood as the wheels don't spin as well on the rug. The Thunder Driller is so so so fun.』

(A Simple and Inexpensive Delight.) 『What a simple toy! At first I couldn't visualize how a baby (my first) could find a set of stacking cups interesting and enjoyable. Well, at first all he did was scatter them about. Then he started banging things with them. Then he started holding them in his hands and walking around with them as if he had hooves. Finally, he started to study them and spent a lot of time at this activity.
At the present time, our boy is 15 months old. Now he takes the stack apart, arranges the cups on a flat place, goes back to get them and put them back together in the proper order. I sometimes mix them up on his flat place and turn a few upside down. He immediately goes to the pile and sorts them out in the proper orientation and order and rebuilds the stack. Then he smiles at his accomplishment. It's rather amazing.
He seems to find the cups endlessly fascinating. When he's whiny or grumpy, I give him the stack and that immediately grabs his attention. We take them everywhere. In the bath. In the car. It's a simple and inexpensive delight.
