Take Indy's Adventures into Your Own Hands Based on the film, which pits Indiana Jones against agents of the Soviet Union in the search for a crystal skull artifact, this set provides a narrative to inspire imaginative play. In addition to the mighty Jungle Cutter with its two gigantic, spinning blades, this set includes a make-shift hideout camouflaged by vines, trees that really break apart when the cutter plows through them, and plenty of jungle spiders. The detailed Indiana Jones figure comes complete with hat, whip, and bag, while Colonel Dovchenko and two Russian Guard mini-figures provide a threatening enemy presence.
Plus there's plenty of cool features to keep the set interesting. Just when it seems like Indy is doomed, you can push the lever on the back of the Jungle Cutter to pop the top pieces off and make it seem like Indy's rocket has caused a catastrophic explosion. Or turn the gear on the hideout to raise and lower the spider web.
Creating the Jungle Cutter With eight bags containing 511 pieces and a colorful instruction booklet, the Jungle Cutter took our eight-year-old tester about three hours to construct. The process was challenging but not too difficult, with colorful step-by-step illustrations showing the way.
Overall, this set scores a fantastic rating for it's cool design elements. The fact that the blades on the Jungle Cutter turn as you roll the vehicle forward made it a huge hit. Another favorite feature was the sliding door that opens to reveal treasure stashed in a secret hiding place. And the battle between Indy and the Russians is fun to enact in different ways (all of which seem to end with a rocket blowing apart the Jungle Cutter).
Our tester really enjoyed the way the narrative of this set allowed him to construct follow-up scenes based on another set built around Indy's complicated escape from the Russians. As a nice bonus, these storylines are developed enough to make the sets fun whether your child has seen the new Indiana Jones movie or not. We also appreciate the way that Lego systems never limit imaginative play. All the cool hardware that makes up the Jungle Cutter can be used to build any structure or vehicle your child dreams up.

So much so that I purchased the other 2- the cafe corner and fire brigade. Trust me, the trio together is a sight to behold on your display shelf. All runaway Lego classics!』
(Probably the best Lego set out there right now!) 『I have built the Cafe Corner set and thought that was the "cat's meow" until I built this one. This set by far more complex and detailed! But it does add nicely to the Cafe Corner (these sets were meant to connect together).
This is easily one of the main sets that any serious Lego collector should own. I personally do not recommend it to anyone younger than 12 or so - this set has many tiny pieces and takes a while to assemble. For me, it took about 5 hours or so in total but I built it one floor at a time over three days (the middle floor is quicker than the top or bottom as it has the least amount of pieces). With that said, patience is needed!
This set is nicely adorned with the grocer (first floor) pretty much fully stock/furnished. The second and third floor have a few basic starter items (grandfather clock, fire place, radiator) and plenty of room for your own ideas if you wish to finish furnishing it.
I hope Lego will add more of these models is a large scale release (you can purchase user made models off of the Lego website, but they are expensive!).』

His 6-year-old sister also enjoyed constructing with the set, so I needed to buy a 2nd set to ensure enough pieces for both.

(I enjoy putting these runs more than my son enjoys playing them) 『There aren't many reviews for these runs. The ones from Imaginarium had average reviews, mostly due to its questionable quality, so this was rolling the dice a bit on this run.
The quality of the product is quite good. The pieces are made of plastic and of decent quality. I would rather have wood runs, but these would obviously be way more expensive.
You can go wild with these pieces. There are 6 run types, but they are of 2 lenghts only, making it very easy to combine them. (See picture attached). There are only 2 exit points, but you can go crazy with as many entry points you want.
Once assembled, the run is fairly stable. I assemble these on my rug and there's no problem at all. There are tons of pieces, so you need to make sure each piece is well connected so that it doesn't wobble.
Another great advantage is the price. I didn't want to go crazy and spend a lot of money for a product I wasn't sure about the quality.
Overall, I love putting these runs for my kids. Probably more than they like playing it.』

When we first opened everything I noticed a very strong smell coming from the plastic parts. It seemed that the parts needed to out gas, so I put most of them off to the side while we were building with the other parts. After a while both my daughter and myself started getting a headache and I needed to open all the windows to clear out the smell. We were in the kitchen, so it was not due to being in a confined space. A few weeks later my daughter was taking apart the two robots she had built that first day and was going to make something different. After about an hour she again complained of having a headache. This set is made in China and I am worried about the chemicals used. I have returned this set and purchased a different Erector set made mainly of metal that hopefully will not have the same issue.』

I want to buy the metal erector sets for my child and see if they are any better.』

I had to help him build the objects, partly because when you got one set of nuts and bolts tightened, ones on the other side were becoming loose. The motor is a cool idea, but it really exacerbates the problem of loosening connections. Our robot literally ran itself apart within five minutes.
