(Great Castle) 『This is a great castle. It has lots of pieces, so you can take it apart and make lots of stuff. I have several lego sets, this is top quality.
I do not like that lego has went away from base plates on this castle, but it is cool. This isn't a base plate type castle, it comes apart at its corners and is connected by technique pins which is pretty cool for play value. You can make this into several different play models so I guess that is why no baseplate, raised baseplates are what I am speaking of.
The price is a little high, but all lego sets are. For the replay value and educational experience for kids I guess it isn't that bad. I would recommend this castle to a friend or fellow lego collector. I hope lego keeps up the quality of the fantasy era castle line all the sets have been great and this is no exception.

It is still more difficult to remove legos that come in a packaged set like Star Wars. At times, you need to remove one that this tool doesn't fit because of their specific design. The pieces come off very easily if they are standard legos. I bought 3 because the shipping costs more than the tool. Overall, the tool does it's job on regular legos and can sometimes help with the specialized ones.』
(Took me a while....) 『As you may recall from my previous LEGO reviews, I'm no expert of the brick toys. I grew up on K'Nex, but decided to get my kid sister some LEGOs as a gift to deter her from video games (which proved successful).
So, I remember her mentioning that some of the LEGOs were getting stuck and difficult to pry apart and, also remembering from my childhood memories my peers owning their own LEGO sets, decided to get her this separator as part of a Christmas gift. Since I never really used this before, it took me a couple tries before I realized how to successfully use it and, sure enough, it makes taking apart LEGOs a cinch.
In conclusion, it's pretty much a "must-buy" for any LEGO fan and user.』

Even my husband couldn't stop playing with them. They are a little expensive but totally worth it considering the quality! One of the large pieces did break but Fat Brain is sending me a replacement for free. Great company and a great product!!』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Grandson's Erector Set) 『Erector Build&Play - Motorized 6V Construction Set, 100 Pieces My grandson turned 6 years old last September. I bought this for him because I wanted him to focus and learn during his play.
The set and directions are simple enough for his age and up, but an adult should explain how to use the directions the first time. Also, occasionally they may need guidance, or a tight part they need help with.
So far he has made the moving race car and helicopter. We also worked together building a crane with magnet lift head and a rubber band powered slingshot.
He recently told his grandmother that it is the greatest gift in the world, so I guess he really likes it. I do too.』
(Good first erector set) 『My 5 year old son received this as a gift. He's pretty dexterous and likes other building toys, such as lego, tinkertoys, etc.
PROS: Comes with two instruction books: an easier one that doesn't use the motor, and a harder one that does use the motor. From the easier book, my five year old could perform many of the steps without assistance, and was proud of his creation. The harder book required active parental participation, but has cooler projects.
Plastic hardware is reasonably easy for small fingers to handle.
The carrying case with a few (albeit flimsy) internal dividers is so much better than just a plain old box and keeps the parts a little more organized.
CONS: As others have pointed out, wheels don't stay on well, screws need to be tightened and re-tightened. On the whole, the car we made was more fun to build than to play with.
Might be too easy for a child over age 7 or 8, or a kid who is especially good at building stuff.
We noticed no problem with chemical odor.』
(Great toy, but questionable materials) 『I bought this set for my 8 year old daughter and she loves it. When we first opened everything I noticed a very strong smell coming from the plastic parts. It seemed that the parts needed to out gas, so I put most of them off to the side while we were building with the other parts. After a while both my daughter and myself started getting a headache and I needed to open all the windows to clear out the smell. We were in the kitchen, so it was not due to being in a confined space. A few weeks later my daughter was taking apart the two robots she had built that first day and was going to make something different. After about an hour she again complained of having a headache. This set is made in China and I am worried about the chemicals used. I have returned this set and purchased a different Erector set made mainly of metal that hopefully will not have the same issue.』
(Difficult for young children) 『As an adult I found this to be frustrating no wonder my child was having problems with it. As you work on your masterpiece it becomes master pieces. Nothing stays together for long if you don't continue to check everything you have just accomplished. I don't know if it is the type of plastic or what but nothing stays where you put it. And each step has several things you have to do which makes it complicated for young children to follow directions. I would say this is at least for ages 8 and up. I want to buy the metal erector sets for my child and see if they are any better.』
