My son loves Thomas. Toby is one of his favorite. I would have to rate all Thomas trains 5 stars because of the smile they put on my son's face.
My son has had Toby for several years, and it still looks as good as the day we got it! (Despite hours and hours of playing and jostling against other trains in a drawer, mind you!)

Toby looks different from all the other engines on the Island of Sodor because he is a boxy tram engine. Although Toby is always happy to work, he can sometimes be very tempermental!

My son enjoys playing with Toby, and this train is a unique part of the Thomas and Friends collection.
Very well made and durable, as has been the case with all the wooden Thomas characters we've bought. We have a 2 year old boy who can be quite rough on them and they hold up well.
This is a great little train to add to my son's set. He has the wooden trains&the diecast, Toby was a fun addition!
What is not to love about Toby?!!? Thomas products are always top quality to me. My son absolutely loves Toby.
Toby the Tram Engine is an engine who is always happy to work, although sometimes he can be a bit temperamental.

This was shipped in a timely manner and got exactly what I expected. If you order at least 3 engines, it's worth paying the shipping and getting the discount vs. buying it at a local retail store.
Thomas&Friends Wooden Railway Trains offer endless playtime for our Grandson. Mom, Dad, and both sets of Grandparents enjoy watching, playing, and helping him layout new track designs.
This has been a great addition to my daughter's Thomas collection. She enjoys the bright red paint, and easily recognizes James while watching the Thomas DVD's.

Though it may seem odd to consider this an "educational" toy, I've used it when teaching my daughter her colors, numbers, as well as coordination.

Learning Curve has recalled all defective versions of this train, and so you should not be concerned with purchasing this or any other red (or yellow) train.

Thomas the Tank Engine toys, specifically the red James with coal car # 5, as this product depicts, have been recalled due to excessive levels of lead in the red paint. I would throw away this product, or any other red painted Thomas the Train product, until it is clear that the products in the pipeline are demonstrably lead free.

The toy is exactly how it looks. What I don't like is that althoug it has a magnet "to collect the trains that brake" there is no way of properly use it. The crane is not created to be able to grab the train using the magnets that the crane and the trains have. So my child have to put the trains in the bed manually. The rest is OK
My 2 yr old son loves this. The detailing includes miniature tools on the breakdown train (painted - not removable). The only problem I have with it is the red end of the magnetic crane is not very strong, therefore not functional as advertised. However, you can fit trains as long as Gordon on the flatbed, and that is what my son loves best: being able to haul another train on the flatbed...he also likes moving the crane up and down.
The Take Along Thomas Breakdown Train and Flatbed is great!. My 2 year son just loves this train and flatbed along with all the other take along products. For the people that say this is no good except for decorations are people who probably do not purchase the take along set. Like the descriptions states, it only works with take along products, not the brio, wooden or any other thomas the train set. It only works with Thomas and friends take along products. For the people who do collect the take along products, this is a great product.
My grand son was elated with this product. Thank you for sending it on time and before Christmas.

I don't understand why the other reviewer is calling this toy useless, just because it's not compatible with other Thomas toys. The name of the toy is Take Along Thomas Breakdown Train&Flatbed. Take Along refers to the size of track/trains, etc....I don't have this particular train car, but the other Take Along Thomas items I do have, are PERFECT for my 2 yr old son. They are easily storable, a great size for his little hands, and keep him occupied for hours. Definitely Recommend Take Along Thomas stuff!

My two year old loves his new helmet! On the right side you press the button for siren sounds, and that's his favorite. The left side lets you talk through the speaker, but he can't really hold it down long enough yet. He still loves it anyway. It seems to be quite durable, since it's holding up very well in our house. :D

This is a nice toy for 2-3 year-old. My son enjoyed putting together "model" cars/trucks, and also came up with creative inventions of his own. The product stimulates creativity and interaction between parents and small children. The parts are very sturdy and brightly colored.
We received our first Magna Tiles from a friend. They have proved to be one of our favorite toys for all ages. Everyone uses them to create something new. My kids (11, 8 and 4) worked together to earn these and they have been another great Magna Tile toy. Some of the parts are smaller than the original Magna Tiles, so if you have kids who still put things in their mouths you may want to use the regular Magna Tiles until they are a bit older.
Our 2.5+ year old twins just got this a few days ago, but already have spent a couple of hours playing with it. They've been very creative about making vehicles and haven't fought over pieces yet, which is really saying something. They love picking out the different parts of the cars, naming them, and putting them together to make a new vehicle. The magnets make it very easy to put together by themselves, so they can play without our help.
Build the truck the way you like it. Combine the base and all other parts, just like at the factory. Easy to assemble real-life vehicles or something from your imagination. Magnetic connections are easy to connect and rearrange.

Ok, I like Thomas and Friends as much as the next guy, but the prices do not reflect quality.

Essentially, Lady is a plastic toy with a wooden block in the center. The painted surfaces of the wood appear strong, but the pain on the plastic parts rub away without much effort. Now, Lady is sitting on her track with one eyebrow ':)

Questionable quality, 90 day warranty, lack of educational value (except for the DVD series). I'll give a generous 3 stars overall.
Lady is the beautiful magenta engine with gold trimming who holds the key to the secret of the Magic Railroad. If you've seen the movie Thomas and The Magic Railroad featuring Peter Fonda and Alec Baldwin, you'll be familiar with this charming Lady.

Lady is a straightforward engine (meaning, she doesn't have any moveable parts), but she is attractive. Although my son asked for her, he doesn't take her out much for some reason! (He has dozens of the trains for the wooden tracks--and even has a die cast Lady. He *did* play the diecast version to death, though, wearing off her paint job!)

If your little one loves the Thomas movie and seems enthralled by Lady, it will likely be a welcome addition to the collection. You may want to pick up Diesel with Pinchy, though, so your child can replay the scene in the movie!
I purchased this for my granddaughter as a gift. I'm not familiar with this line of toys and I was very disappointed when I saw this toy. The description gives the dimensions as 2.1 x 5.0 x 5.0 inches. This little train engine is actually about 2.5 inches long, 2.0 inches tall and 1.25 inches wide. I would not have paid $11 for this if I had known.
Poor lady, in our house, sits relegated to the corner of the play room. For some reason, this is not one of my son's favorite engines...he has so many to pick from, and she never gets chosen to haul the other coaches....
I was really disapointed when I found my Lady's paint chipped off in most places. We need a new one now and that's a bummer becase I have at least 70 thomas trains and most of them survived pretty well .

I thought the toy looked great but my toddler was bored of it within a few days. Once he mastered the color caps in the correct order he was "done" playing with it. I really need to stick to toys that have multiple uses.
My 17 month old toddler loves playing with this. She's a little young for it, but she likes the shaking noise and she pretends to put on her food. A great addition!

Great addition to the Ultimate Play kitchen. Durable wood and great shaker sounds. Kids love it.
I bought this set to accompany my children's deluxe kitchen. However, it was way too big. Though it is definitely durable, it is not very realistic in regard to size and actual appearance. It has the shaker sound effects, but it is not like Mommy's spices.
I just got the Melissa&Doug spice rack in the mail yesterday and am very happy I purchased it. My 2 1/2 year-old daughter instantly started using them in her kitchen and put them away in the handy little wooden caddy that came with the set. Every parent with a kid interested in cooking should buy this. After all, how can you cook without any spices?!!
