I love iplay, good quailty toys everytime, price here was the best I found and my son 2.5 loves this toy, so do any girls that come over for playgroup.
I bought this for my 22 month son a few weeks ago and it has become his favorite toy. He will play with it for at least 30 minutes at a time and was delighted when he worked out the elevator and how the cars joined together (they are magnetic). I have bought a number of toys made by iplay and have been satisfied with them all.
I bought this garage for my son's first birthday. It was very easy to put together, but it is also very easy to take apart. It could have been designed a little better, so that the parts wouldn't come off the base so easily. It is fine if you don't pick it up too much. It has a volume control, so you can adjust the noise level, or even turn off all the sound effects. I am a bit disappointed with the size of the top floor of the garage. There is barely enough room to put all three cars on the top level. It is a nice toy, but I wish that I had bought the Fisher Price garage instead.
Luckily (for me) my mom bought this expensive toy for my son. He got it when he was around 12 months old and didn't really play with it much for the first six months. He initially was afraid of the sounds it made! He mainly tore off the arc with the "P" on it to use for teething. Later on he snapped the little barrier arm to the elevator in two-which created a potential choking hazard in the small round piece created when it broke. He does love the magnetic cars, though. He enjoys the sounds the garage makes now that he's 21 months old, but still doesn't really get the concept of running the cars through the car wash or sending them for a ride in the elevator. I'd say this is a toy for a three year old and up. Overall, I'm glad he's gotten some enjoyment from this toy but I'm glad I wasn't the purchaser.
It's a great looking toy but the parts don't snap together they rest in place, had I known that, I would have passed on this one. I returned it. I was spending a good part of my day putting it back together over and over again. It also should come with a helocopter for the helocopter pad but doesn't so the kids put the cars up there, it's confusing...

We own two Automoblox (blue sedan and green truck) and while they are well made and nice cars to play with the idea of pulling them apart and building new cars is extremely limited with only two. The price is a serious limit on how many we can afford and two cars just doesn't create much variety.

Also, you can't just pull the end off one and place on on another -- the interior connector has to be switched out, which is too tricky for 5 year old fingers. The documentation says "this offers a welcome level of complexity" but I think it just makes it needlessly difficult.
The Auto Block Truck is of superior quality and provides hours of entertainment for young inquiring minds who like to take a part and put things together. Great fun for my 3 year old grandson!
The automoblox cars are expensive, but worth the expense. I gave one to my 4-year-old grandson, and he loves it; he spends a lot of time taking it apart and putting it back together; he plays with the people and makes up stories about the people in the car. His 2-year-old brother also fell in love with this car, so I bought him an automoblox truck. Another great hit. He loves to take off the wheels and put them back on. He also loves to put the truck back inside the molded plastic container, and to fit that back into the box, which is now the "garage."
This is a simple toy, very well made, which encourages a child to do a lot of imaginative play.
This is an exceptional toy, that combines the gross motor skill training of block, the fine motor skills training of fitting pieces together in the correct manner, and the creativity of learning how to use different pieces to make unique creations.

It's solid wood, good quality, and well-packaged. The vehicles are made in the USA, although the wood is German beech wood.

The price is a bit high, but this isn't a "mass market" toy, this is a toy that seems like it could be passed down to your kid's children. Obviously, you can tell I was very happy with the toy.
I bought the Automoblox truck for my grandson's 4th birthday. It has an instant hit. He liked that he could take the truck apart and put together another combination.
The truck body is actually 3 parts, the front end, the truck cab(body) and the truck bed, joined together by very easy to use bright green plugs. The truck puts together as shown in the images, or the cab can be eliminated to make a cute little "buggy".
This toy is very sturdy and appears to be well designed and engineered. I'll be checking with my grandson to see how well his Automoblox truck is holding up to daily play. The Automoblox information says that each Automoblox model is interchangeable with other models. So, if this model is holding up well, I will be ordering at least one of the other models for Christmas.
Caution for those with smaller children who still like to eat their toys; there are wooden people who plug into the inside of the truck cab, the toy loses very little play appeal if you tuck those away until the eating urge passes.
The only downside I can think of is that the price was a bit high. However, it does come in a very sturdy cardboard box that seems designed to create the image of an heirloom toy. I can see that happening. All in all, if the toy holds up as it appears it is designed to do, that is money well spent.

This was a great addition to my son's train set - its sturdy and durable and my boys have fun making the trains 'stop' and 'go' by pushing the levers.
Our son was very pleased with this toy it was a wonderful addition to his other Thomas track and buildings. I was very pleased with the condition that the toy arrived in and it was recieved very quickly and in time for Christmas.
My son has had this item for over a year now and it's still in great shape. I, like the other reviewer, was a little put off by the plastic but even with my son's rough play it's still doing fine. This one is espeically great for the more advanced builders since you need two parallel tracks to run through the signal:)
The signal track is a good addition to your child's Thomas collection. It has levers to push, signs that move, and different sounds for stop and go. My son and his playmates have a hard time sharing this one!
My son LOVES the Thomas&Friends wooden railway system, and this piece is no exception. As a parent, I have to say that the quality of this piece is not what I expected. In general, the wooden railway set pieces are primarily wood. The Deluxe Over-the-track Signal has wooden rails on it, but is otherwise mostly plastic, which is a disappointment.
This track signal features with realistic lights and sounds. Thomas Wooden Railway vehicles, track and destinations are not compatible with Take Along Thomas items.

My Son got this for his birthday with some other power scout sets, and he loves them. He and his sisters played for hours. They aren't hard to put together, and they change the courses all the time. They like it a lot.
The skull mountain set needs to be set up very specifically for all the special effects to work right, and it gets tiring resetting the boulders, the spears, etc. All those little pieces that then go flying when a truck rolls through the set! That said, the trucks themselves are very cool, and my 3-and-a-half-year-old has had fun setting up tug-of-war contests between them, or having them haul other toys around the house. He comes up with a lot of creative ways to use the trucks, so I kind of wish we had just bought those instead of the Skull Mountain set.
We bought this for our son for Christmas to go with another set bought by his grandparents. He was so excited to get it. His 2 1/2 year old sister likes it too. The bridge is pretty neat and it comes with the truck. We got this for $[...] on sale right before Christmas and paid for two day shipping to get it in time. Not sure if I'd pay full price for it, but it's a fun toy. The only downside is the matchbox trucks can break easily.
This is a must have for your Power Scout Adventure System. Lots of fun and easy for the little ones to set up.
My son received this for Christmas and he loved it from the moment he opened it! It was fun for both of us as it reminded me of days gone by. I highly recommend it and we're looking forward to adding additional parts to the track!

Right out of the box the frame was croocked and the left landing skid was taller then the right side. The tail boom was crooked to add to the misery. The rear rotor blade touched the ground. The engineer never took into granite that with added weight you need more power and a stronger battery life. Within three minutes the battery was fully drained. The operation range is less then fifty feet and the flight altitude is very limited. Spend more money and purchase the double horsepower dragonfly helicopter. This helicopter is worth less then the box that it was shipped in.
I am experienced with RC planes... therefor I should have known better than to purchase one when it was on special in a local retailer about a year ago, alas, the price over ruled my logic.

I brought it home, read the (short) manual, tested it in place and adjusted the trim so it wouldn't spin as much. Then, I attempted it's maiden flight. It rose about 3 feet, and began to tilt in an arclike fashion. Since there were no side-to-side controls, I could not direct it out of it's tilt, I watched helplessly as it rose to about 5 feet and by then was flying at a 90 degree angle to the ground. I cut the power hoping to save it. It landed on the grass and the rotor shattered.

I returned it because it was obviously defective, but I had to argue with the managers for a while because they assumed I just was an idiot and crashed it due to inexperience.

Maybe some do work, but mine was definitely flawed and it's construction leaves a bit to be desired as well (given the propensity for crashing)
My son bought this and it flies great. But you cant go too high because if you do you will lose control and crash. It broke in the cover of the front, Broke in the tail twice, and in the tail adjuster. It still flies fine, but Hes a terrible helicopter flyer, so yours could last longer because you may be better than me when It comes to flying, He already broke his B-52 r/c plane in the first 20 seconds of the fisrt flight,He blamed it on the wind!!!!!!!!!LOL
I bought this as a Christmas present for my brother. The helicopter has suprisingly good durability and survived many crashes. Within the first 5 min, my brother drove it into our pond and after drying off it still worked. Unfortunantly, after about 4 days he drove it about 50 ft up in the air, and then it free-fell to the ground and crashed an pretty much everything broke. I would not recommend this for kids or anyone who doesnt have common sense enough to safely fly it. It is alot of fun!
This product is a massive disappointment. As you can tell from the product features, it is only 2 channel. Therefore, it can only go up, down, and rotate. Well, you'd think if it can only move up and down it would at least be able to hover. Sure, if this is reasonably priced for the 60 dollars you pay for it. It can't hover, it can only wobble, go up too high, and crash down in a rotor-braking plummet. Well, they didn't say it was a good value! At least the company doesn't make false claims. Other complaints are that the cover is very cheap, consisting of two glued-together segments, and in the action of taking the cockpit cover off, I accidentally snapped it in half. If you put this in the grass and take off from there, the helicopter might flip over and begin to thrash around. Why? Because the skids get caught on blades of grass. The Dragonfly was so bad as a helicopter, the only use I could find for it was to take out the motor, put it on the end of a pole, take off they stabilizer, and attach razor blades to the rotors to mow my lawn and slice up various objects. So, unless you want some fun with a makeshift lawnmower, this is an awful product.

My Grandson Caleb celebrated his big 6th. bithday with Thomas the train as the theme. Caleb has collected these classic trains for sevearl years and is one his favorite toys which he can't get enough of, I have tried to get him as many as possible since he told me the names of the loveable cars. He loved the new cars especially Harold the helicopter.

My child loves this Murdoch engine. It has held up remarkable well to drops and other mishaps. All the paint is still intact after several months of use. Overall we are quite pleased with the purchase. Keep an eye out at your local Target for markdowns; we purchased several of the engines for less than four dollars.

I am usually a stickler about one type of toy from my child but because of entertainment reasons my child has a few of these Take Along Thomas toys. We love the wooden ones and want to keep them at home because of the price we don't want to see them lost.

This Murdoch is a mighty engine with ten drive wheels. He is Sodor's largest and strongest engine, which is bigger than Gordon with ten driving wheels. He was brought to the Island to help with the heavy workload and pull freight on the main line. As shy as he is strong, Murdoch can often be found seeking peace and quiet. He is great friends with Salty and Harvey. Murdoch is featured in the "New Friends for Thomas" video. It measures 1.67"L x 5.89"W x 1.19"H.

My 4 year old does like this train with the cool smokestack but the train design is poor. The smoke goes up and down as it moves which is neat. The train that is controlled by the remote is permanently attached to the first car of the train. The first car of the train does not lead the rest of the cars. Because of this, the first train often derails going down hills and gets my son frustrated. It's made just like the "Hauler and Big Rob," Team which we didn't keep because it derails. Not sure why they make the trains this way, it just frustrates my son. Expensive too.
The GeoTrax Lead Train Set offers all the classic railroad play little boys love. They can become the engineers of their own imaginations with so much to do. Starting at the Easy-Rail Station, the special track area makes it so easy for them to get their RC train lined up on the tracks. Board the engineer figure into the front of the classic steam engine or on the back of the red caboose. Little boys can control the train two ways - push it along or control the action from afar with an easy-to-use RC controller. My daughter likes to push buttons, still at age 6. This remote controlled car is very durable and offers a great opportunity to push buttons. We haven't tried it in water yet, but plan to soon. It took her a short while to figure out how to control the car. Inserting the battery in the car was a bit of challenge because the screw is so deep in the back of the car it required a long thin handle screwdriver to lossen the screw.

I haven't opened the package yet, it's a present, but Jack looks well made and ready to make his place onto the train table!
Positives first:
It is a must for anyone who has "pack" fans...and the mechanism to move the front loader is rather clever.

People were upset by the magnet in place of a regular but if you were to combine this with say a cargo car loading piece or something similar you can let your child use jack instead of the much more expensive cranky the crane.

The bright red color was a firm favorite and much nicer than the ugly color of Rosie or Billy.

Jack is confirmed to likely appear again in "the great discovery" so it will be a character to use over and over again.

Now the downside:

Jack has changed, he is no longer like the first picture now he is like the second.

Then I should let you know that Jack is slightly disproportionate and somewhat flimsy. (the button tends to break...it hasn't happened to us but my 4 year old is rather gentle )

The front loader does not lift put that high, while it works with cargo cars it still disappoints.

When the loader is down, it often covers Jack's face

In ours, the holes drilled in the wood chassis for the wheel were too big causing the wheels to wobble when played with off track.

In general my son and I both rather liked Jack, because we got him with a dvd, it is not worth 11+$ just alone. Look in your local toyshop if you cannot find it online
Great add in toy for Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway. My son was 1½ when we started his collection and they have been a favorite ever since. When they like the trains it cuts down on a lot of other bulky toys so the clutter is minimal.

This piece named Jack is fun! His arm lifts and the front loader has magnetic pieces in it, we found out by accident. The paint is durable and the plastic pieces are minimal and will be great addition to your Thomas collocation.

My son Jack (2y) loves his Thomas and Percy more than this truck, but he just got the engines so that could be it.

I myself think that Jack the truck is pretty cool. It's very sturdy like the other vehicles by Learning Curve, its shovel does not interfere with clearance through the tunnels (at least the mountainpass tunnel), and for those concerned with the closed shovel, my husband discovered it has an enclosed magnet, so you can 'connect' to the trains and push or even slightly lift them. I have fun pushing trains with it. Did I say I bought this train set for my son!
We got to see Jack for the first time on "New Friends for Thomas." If you're not familiar with the story, Jack is a front loader that was brought into the island of Sodor to help with the construction of new train lines. He's very anxious to help and sometimes has to be reminded of his place, but he's a very cheerful and helpful fellow. He proves himself to be a very good friend and worker and gets to stay on the island.

Well, we just had to get Jack after seeing this video. He's been a very valuable purchase in our house - role playing abounds! It's a little weird that they made his shovel solid - it should have been open so that he could scoop up things. Bet this will be a redesigned piece! Anyway, this is a great addition to the train series and he even goes on the track! Highly recommend!
