『I bought this for my 18 month old son, who, like other reviewers' sons, is crazy about the neighborhood garbage and recycling trucks. This thing is like fort knox ... unbreakable. He carries it around by the "handle" on the top, knocks it on things, has dropped it several times, brings it on trips with us, etc., and it just keeps going. He loves taking the drivers in and out, loves the garbage chute where the containers come out, and loves to make it "go" with the engine noise rumbling. We are getting him the WOW table and a few new vehicles for his second birthday and hope he loves them just as much! This a great buy!』

Not really much to say about it, works as it should, with the little sliding pretend paint sprayer. Solid construction and yet another Cars character to roll on the tracks now. My son was happy.』

『We received this as a gift and it worked fine for a few weeks, but after a few times using it, it started to work intermittently. There was no way to make it work with consistently except to shake it and drop it. Perhaps, something came loose in the inner workings, but I think the product should have been designed for the rattles and shakes of a young child.』

(Elmo's Alphabet Bus)
『My kids (1 and 3) love this toy! There are games you can play (Ernie asks to find the letter that begins the word _____), or you can press each letter to hear it's sound. There is also a button to hear Elmo sing the alphabet, which definitely helped my kids learn their letters. With the wheels, the kids can "drive" the bus around the house.
Drawbacks - no volume control. After a while, my son repeatedly presses the "song" button, so Elmo gets stuck yelling "A, B, A, A, A, A" and it gets somewhat annoying. It also takes a while to turn off - the characters each say good bye and see you again next time, so when we're done with play time the good bye sequence is so cheerful and loud my son thinks it's play time again.
Overall, still a fun learning toy.』

『My 3 year old daughter got this toy for her first birthday... by the time she was 1.5 years old she could already identify all the leters of the alphabet. She still plays with it since there are more challenging quizes for young spellers. The only downside is that it is really loud, but I really don't mind anymore... I'm going to give this as a present to all my family and friends with babies from now on!』

(Great for the Manny fan, tough on value.)
『Truly interactive toy in that it knows what you are "fixing" when and congratulates you when you have accomplished a task. Although I looked at the dimensions it still seems too small to be an appropriate toy for its intended age (2-4?). Probably $20 overpriced. I love that an earlier reviewer was frustrated that the saw served no purpose- I on the other hand am quite pleased. If I wanted my son to use real tools I'd by him a STIHL and not a Fisher-Price.

『All in all, this is a good toy that has given my son a lot of enjoyment. However, I have some complaints. The upper frame of the truck, that forms the "roof" over the front seats, pops off constantly. It's just not designed to hook in securely. My son rarely knocks it off, so I guess that's good, but whenever I touch the darn thing it falls off. Also, it's pretty difficult for my son to properly open up the back of the truck to reveal the work space, so he gets frustrated with it. He's barely 3 though, so older kids shouldn't have this problem. Good toy overall!』

『My 5-year-old asked for a Handy Manny Tool Truck after playing with one on play dates this winter. We wondered if he would get bored with it and did not encourage him regarding the toy. But by the time spring came around, he still wanted one for his (5th) birthday. He was really happy to get it, and plays constantly with it. He loves transforming and untransforming it, and he loves fixing the various items. After his birthday, he played with it for days. Now he'll let it sit a couple of days and then go back to it with vigor. My son does a lot of pretend play along with this toy, and he can now teach other friends how to use the toy, which brings him to a new level of play and learning.』

『My son cannot get enough of Handy Manny. He got this truck from Santa. He likes it, but does not play with it as much as he does his other Handy Manny toys. He actually plays with it more when my 6 year old starts playing it, but I think it is more from the sibling rivalry standpoint rather than true desire to play with it. It is cumbersome to assemble as the workbench, then to put back together as a truck. My son definitely needs help in changing it from one mode to the other, which frustrates him. If you are hedging between the large tool box or this, definitely opt for the tool box.』

『We have purchased four of the kid galaxy morphibians, two for my son and two as gifts. They are excellent toys for young children who want r/c vehicles. They climb over grass well and we've even had them in the swimming pool! They "swim" as well as they drive. My son accidentally jumped into the pool with the remote, but it worked fine after it dried out. We did recently have a problem with one of them that started to drive backwards only, but these cars have been through so much abuse during the last year, I expected something to break. We've not had any other r/c that lasted this long or that performed so well. I should note that if you want to purchase more than one, make sure you get different frequencies. Kid Galaxy's website provides the frequency of each car.』

『This racetrack is great. My 23mo old son loves to shake the cars and watch them crash. I bought it on clearance for $30 and also purchased 4 additional crash up cars for $6 each it is well worth it and with all the fun my son is having I would not have mind paying full price. The track was easy for me to put together and we move it from room to room with maybe only 2 or 3 pieces that fall off, but it snaps back together. If you put the track together exactly as the instructions say, there will not be any prblems.

I have read many complaints that the cars don't run long enough and you have to keep shaking them. That's the point of shake n go. Who can shake the car the hardest and longest to get it to run the furthest? I think it displays a great sense of cause and effect, plus its just a toy. ( Try the planes they are great too!!! Must follow instructions for palnes to work properly.)』

(A really fun toy for kids and adults)
『After reading some of the reviews I initially canceled all consideration. However, I read a couple of those that emphasized the need to read and follow the instructions included with the toy. I told my son to carefully follow the instructions. He had no problems putting it together and it has been solid even after moving it frequently. He has two sons (2&4) and a number of cousins that play with Crash-Ups for hours at a time. Even the adults get into the action. It is effectious and great fun for all. If you follow the directions, yes, I know that means reading the instructions before attempting assembly, this is a wonderful fun toy for the whole family, even the supervised 2/3 year olds.

And by he way it has many instructional features. It teaches cooperation for the benefit of all. It teaches cause and effect. It teaches planning. It teaches analysis. Kinda' nice for such a fun and durable item that is not related to a computer.』

『Well, our almost 5 year-old son loved the cars but the track was very disappointing. Like others have stated, VERY difficult to put together and even harder to STAY together. Then, after (constantly) ensuring all track is nice and tight/level, the "action" lasts...5 seconds. ??? The longest the cars stayed "active" was two laps and then they quit, with or without a crash. Honestly, we couldn't get the cars to crash more than 1 of every 10 times.
Soooo, son made the best of things and just played/crashed/smashed them together. He thinks that's cool (whew!). Dad here sure is grateful that the cars are robust and when crashed together are pretty cool.

『I bought this for my 3-year old's birthday, and what a disappointment! I thought that the simplicity of the toy would make it more fun for my son to play with it, but it just makes it very frustrating, even for adults. First of all, there is no standing position for the dinosaur. Once you turn it on, a very LOUD motor turns on and the toy proceeds to turn around and around and around. Without us even touching the remote. The only way to make it stop is to pick up the dinosaur and turn off the power switch! The remote is a joke: there is no way to control the direction the dinosaur goes in! What kind of remote "control" is that? It only has one function - a button you can press or not press. When you press the button, the dinosaur moves forward in whichever direction he is facing. But remember, that he has been spinning in circles since he's been turned on. So it basically ends up being a random direction that he heads off into. Then when you let go of the button, he stops moving forward, but continues his annoying turning in circles. My son had become very frustrated everytime we have tried to play with it, because basically, he can't make it go in the direction he wants. Finally, because the toy is in constant motion from the time you turn it on, it drains batteries faster than it spins! We had to replace batteries after just two times of play and we did not even play for too long. I have not bothered to replace the batteries and now my son just has an expensive foam dinosaur with which to do some imaginative play.』

(Simple fun for the dinosaur lover in your family!)
『I purchased this for my 3 1/2 year old nephew at Christmas. After all the wrapping paper was ripped from the packaging, the fun began. I can say I was kinda surprised with the quality of the item, being a lot more sturdy and well finished than I anticipated.

After we popped in the batteries in the remote and dino itself we were off to the kitchen for a hard floor. After turning the dino on and placing it on the floor, we noticed it spinning in place. After my nephew yelling it was broken I pressed the button on the remote and the dino took off!

Basically the spinning motion is to "aim" the dino, and pressing and holding the button sends him off in that direction. It was actually kinda cool since my nephew caught on really quick and enjoyed the speed and motion.

The toy seems pretty well built, and the soft foam coating is a nice feature for both kids, and your furniture! I think the only thing I would add to this toy is dino sounds, but that's a minor thing and isn't a deal breaker for this type of toy.』
