My little boy got this for Christmas last year and has carried it around, dropped it, crashed it, and slept with it.
It makes noises that are not obnoxious or too loud and has a flashing light that is pretty cool.
It has lost a couple of minor parts (one rear-view mirror&the cover for the light on top) in the process but has held up pretty well despite the abuse. The cover for the little red light on top is the one that is a little frustrating. It came off after a while, because my boy likes to carry it by this light; it pops back on easily which is nice, but the more it comes off the easier it comes off. One of these days I will get around to putting some glue on it.
I bought this for my son over a year ago and he or my daughter use it almost every day. They really like the lights. I never gave them the water shooting thing. I guess that is the only drawback to this toy is that the water shooter is pretty useless. It is great for creative, imaginary play and it has been very durable.
My kid absolutely loves this toy, he spends time watching the movie and playing with the cars. when we go out, its great because i dont have to worry about losing the engine like i do with the smaller cars.
Disney Pixar Cars Red Fire Truck is adorable but it has one particular issue. The water spout connector that shoots out the fake water barely stays on the truck or ladder (depending on which location you choose). It needs a better connection so that it doesn't come off so easy. Otherwise, this toy is awesome. My son absolutely loves it and he doesn't really care if it comes off or not because after all it is RED from Cars. I would recommend this product to anyone as long as they know that the water spout is loosely connected.
We bought this because my son LOVES the movie "Cars". He likes the toy, but it's nothing amazing. He loves taking the "hose nozzle" and shooting the fake water across the room though...

This thing is great for the someone above the age of 15, for being a 'toy' these blades spin faster than I would think, but as long as you are using your head you should be safe. I broke the tail blade, but it was an easy fix with some super glue, it works good as new now. It will probably take you some time to get use to it, I have been outside with it, but the way is flys inside I would bet you could have some fun with it outside. Great for a teenager.
Onits maiden voyage it went up and went out of control. Found out after the crash lasnding that the rotor broke off and was unable to fix it since it was all plastic. PIECE OF JUNK!
This is not a highly maneuverable helicopter, this is not a "toy" for young children, and this is not designed to be wonderful, but it is meant to be cheap fun for those who love helicopters. What this helicopter is, however, is essentially a large Picoo Z for outdoor use. The quality of construction first appears weak, but upon many crashes, I have found it quite durable. Do not, however, rely on its durability only. In the hands of small children, it will break quickly. It is somewhat difficult to fly, but once it's trimmed, it can be surprisingly controllable (though not NEARLY as such as a helicopter of higher quality with more channels.) The trim knob is easy to adjust for left/right motion, and for forward motion, simply affix weight to the front of the fuselage. A small fishing weight or small change stuffed in the battery compartment will suffice. As for educational value, this is by no means a highly educational toy. However, it does teach basic helicopter controls and how to properly take care of precision equipment. I've bought many RC helicopters for under $100, and so far this is the only one that:

- Can be flown outdoors
- Can fly into the wind.
- Has cheap, user replaceable parts.
- Can be flown indoors (though I do not recommend, especially until accustomed to the controls)
- Isn't primarily styrofoam.
- Has very far controllable range.

If you want something that is very controllable and stable, I HIGHLY recommend a proxyflier instead (Bladerunner, Micro Mosquito) as they are very stable, though only indoors. If you want a very cheap, fun helicopter that can handle outdoors, looks like a real helicopter, and is large, this will be very suitable on a tight budget.
This thing cannot hover in one place without spinning. The trim is located on the heli so you cannot adjust it while flying. In other words it's adjust, fly, land, and repeat until you get close. Also this thing flies anywhere it wants, you cannot control where it goes. You can only control direction of rotation and up/down. This is especially bad because you cannot fly this indoors because it's erratic, but you cannot fly it outside either because a little wind causes it to drift out of the range of your transmitter

Mine lasted for a couple weeks then the tail motor died so it could not be flown anymore without spinning out of control. The only good thing about it is it's very durable and it charges in only 3 hrs while giving you about 10 minutes of flight time.

Don't waste your money on this, instead get the 3ch 735 series which is a micro heli and VERY stable.
Out of the box and ready to fly? If you like going in one direction. It is adjustable but there is another trick that cost you more time. Any impact against the rear rotor and the mainshaft will snap right after the bolt assembly. This was a mistake from the beginning. I now buy pre tested from the Factory helicopters with aluminum frames and landing pads. It is well worth spending an additional [...] dollars to have a quality helicopter that flies correctly right out of the box.

(My Son LOVES it!)

(Poor design)

My son received Big Rig Hauler and Rob for his 3rd birthday. He has played with it hours on end and just loves it! His dad drives a semi-truck, so he loves that he has his "own" big truck! In fact, he even took it to show and tell this week and I had several phone calls from parents asking exactly what it was and where we got it because their son wants one! We have not had any trouble with it jacknifing or crasing, and my sons track set is very detailed. We LOVE Geotrax at our house!
I bought this and returned it immediately. The power is in the second car (see the little light at the top in the pic), so it pushes the engine instead of the regular train engines that pull. And the engine it comes with is very light so it jackknifes easily. It's fine if you run on a simple straight track with very wide turns and no hills, but once you start going around sharp bends or multiple hills, hills upon hills, turns at the end of hills, it derails and angers my 3 year old to no end. This was a poor Geotrax design. We have loved every bit of the Geotrax system and were very sorry that this one didn't work out for us.

We bought this truck for my sons 2 birthday. I chose this paticular one because it was made by Fisher Price, who I've allways thought made very fun and sturdy toys. However, the white ladder keeps popping of with just the slightest amount of pressure. The rest of the truck is well made. The sirens are very realistic and not to loud. The Michael figure bends at the hips, he fits well into the seats. If only the ladder stayed on. I will think twice about choosing Fisher Price over other brands now.
My son saw this in the store and I ordered it as a surprise for him. He loves to push the siren button and push the truck across the room. He puts "Michael" in every seat on the truck and pretends to spray the water. The ladder and cones are a nice touch and lend it some realism. I am thinking of getting the construction truck next since this one was such a hit. My son is 16 months and loves anything with wheels and sounds.
My son got this for his 2nd birthday about 8 months ago and he adores it. The fact that you activate flashing lights and siren by pressing the bar on the truck cab accounts for a large part of its attractiveness. The little man who bends at the hips(Michael) fits easily into the cab or the ladder seat, and other Little People without bendable legs, including animals, can fit in the seats as well. The hose with nozzle and nozzle on the ladder "to spray Wawa!" (water) are popular features. It is durable and rolls well, and has stood up to being knocked off shelves and tables. The batteries haven't needed replacing though it is played with daily. We have misplaced the cones and little axe (which was popular to start with) as they are small, but that doesn't decrease its play value. I am also happy that Michael is not a blond white kid (having an "ethnic" toddler myself)

My main complaint is that the white ladder is NOT fixed onto the grey swivel seat. It only "clamps" pincerlike onto little bumps, and the way it is positioned, any pushing down on it causes it to lever off with great ease. I have to listen to "help me! help me!" constantly when my son plays with it, as within minutes of me replacing the ladder, his little hands knock it off again. And though easy to lever off, it is not as easy to put on, ie takes an adult. I admit to often hiding the tall white ladder so I am not forced to replace it over and over. The truck is still very usable without that ladder, but it is a shame that in a vehicle so well built in general, that Fisher Price didn't use metal screws or some other proper fixation method to ensure that it stays on. It is the only Fisher Price item we own that is illconceived for hands-on play and I hope they fix this in future editions.

I highly recommend it nonetheless for toddlers. Great play value they'll keep coming back to.
I got this for my son who will be two in febuary. He loves this toy. The lights and sirens are a big deal on this. I took away alot of the small parts that i thought would be a choking hazard.truck is a good size. He loves this toy and so do i.
My 3 1/2 yr old grandson wanted a firetruck that made noise. Saw this one and knew it would be the answer. It makes all the right sounds-- not too loud or too obnoxious. And he loved the people and detachable pieces that go with it.
Overall, I think it answered his request quite well.
Michael's Rescue Rig is a cool fire truck vehicle that provides kids with all the role-play "tools" they need for fire-fighting adventures. The set includes two articulated firefighter figures, and the vehicle has areas for firefighter Michael and his sidekick to drive and ride. My two year old loves Spencer. He plays with him everyday. Well worth the price.

This guy has a minor role in the Thomas series, but boy, is he a favorite in our house! He's different - his face looks laid back and he has a smirk on his face as well. He's a bit snooty since his job is to take the Duke and Duchess of Boxford around but since he is the fastest engine, well, he has a right to be snooty! He's on the video "New Friends for Thomas" and instantly became a favorite! Sure am glad he's available and am wondering when Max is coming out! Highly recommend this one - he's really different and a great addition to our set. Highly Recommend!
Spencer is a silver British mallard (the fastest steam engine of its time), with a coal tender in the back, and a laid-back face. If your child enjoys acting out the stories from the Thomas video series, Spencer was brought to the island as the private engine of the visiting Duke and Duchess of Boxford, so his personality is a bit snooty. As you can see, Spencer has a very minor role in the Thomas&Friends TV show, but this train is a must have! He has a unique look. I have enjoyed Spencer as well, and bought some express coaches for him.
Spenser, one of the newer friends of Thomas, is a great addition to the Thomas line. As with all of the wooden trains, these hold up really well.

I'm noticing the paint on the top chipping off, but I suppose this is to be expected with trains that are tossed into a huge backpack and jostled around.

My son plays a lot with these trains, and gets much enjoyment from them!

Spencer is just about the shiniest, sleekest engine the Island of Sodor has ever seen. A striking silver express engine, Spencer was brought to the Island as the private engine of the visiting Duke and Duchess.

Thomas Wooden Railway vehicles, track and destinations are not compatible with Take Along Thomas items.

I bought this for my kids about seven months ago, and they still play with it all the time. It works best on a vinyl or other smooth floor. I just changed the batteries in the remote and the plane today--that's how much my kids play with this. This is a good toy for kids around age 3 or 4, but even a 2-year-old can figure it out if he's interested in remote controlled stuff.
We bought this plane as a 1st RC for our 2.5 yo boy and he loves it. It works wonderfully on tile, laminate, and hardwood floors but because if the small wheels it doesn't work on carpeting that well. It is easy to use, fairly quiet and small enough to take along in a "busy" bag. My 6 year old (and husband) each enjoy taking turns too!

I love Plan Toys cars and vehicles. They are so nicely made; they feel and look beautiful. The wheels are nicely engineered and turn very smoothly. My son loves these vehicles, and I love that they aren't metal or plastic.
I really can't share my opinion because I will have to wait to give these little cars to him in a year. Didn't know or didn't pay attention to how small they are. My grandson is just turning 1 and these cars are too small for him.
My 14 month old loves these little cars. I bought them because I love that they are made of recycled rubber wood! My daughter enjoys her Plan Toys doll house as well. These products are great! The little rubber wheels work well. They are very kid friendly and don't hurt him when he puts it up to his mouth like other metal cars can. Love them.
3 years&up. Set of 3 family cars.

I bought this for my son's 2nd birthday and he loved it. It is a little tricky for him to put together by himself but he has an older brother to help him.
Caterpillar Construction vehicles are rough and rugged with multiple transformations. Each piece is used to re-configure another type of construction truck, so you can build and rebuild! Plus, each truck is equipped with a c-clip that allows it to haul other trucks. And with real rubber wheels and a working suspension, these trucks are ready for rough and tumble preschool play. Measures approximately 12".
