These toys don't "do" anything--they are "kid-driven!" Exactly what we wanted for our 6-year old son. He has had hours of fun with them (I have, too; those train sets are fun for all ages). They are durable. I gave the "educational" part 3 stars, only because one must use imagination with them. Good product.
If your child enjoys acting out the Thomas&Friends series, Rusty is a hard-at-work, heavy-duty diesel. He is a small orange diesel who pulls a dumper that carries removable sand cargo that can work with Cranky or other Thomas cranes. The cement mixer is unique. It spins as it is pulled, almost as if it is mixing cement.

To "build" the fun, you can make buildings and bridges with Legos, Lincoln logs, or even the new Sodor blocks sets, and Rusty will bring the construction supplies you need.

To "build" the fun even more, you can expand the Thomas wooden rail and road system with the new Cement Works, as well as Jack and Alfie from the construction crew. Then your construction series will be complete. Rusty is a perfect addition to the Thomas wooden rail and road system. After all, he's the one who helps build them!
What I meant by my title is that I already had Rusty and I just wanted the Construction Cars. The cars sway from side to side and they can survive a lot of damage. I was suprised at how durable these were. The sets are a lot of fun because you don't need any additional things to go with it for immediate fun. These toys are really good for a car trip to keep a child busy when they are bored. I would higly recommend getting this set but don't buy Rusty first.
Rusty is great. i got him as a present for christmas one year he has 3 cars - rusty a dumper and a cement mixer you can use him with cranky or anything with a magnet. he is also in some episodes on a video.
The Thomas&Friends wooden railroad gives you Rusty and 2 Construction Cars. This set provides hours of fun for your children because they can use this set to recreate stories about Rusty and his construction fun. Its educational value shows children how man-made things are built and they will probably use this set with thier Lincoln Logs and other construction kits. This is also a very sturdy set, but sometimes the mixer's top will come off and will need a frequent fix-up! Other than that, it's a wonderful set and a great gift idea!
This Rusty is a very self-assured and dedicated worker with a huge heart. Along with his dumper and cement mixer, Rusty proves to be an extremely Useful Engine at construction sites. The hinged dumper includes removable magnetic sand cargo. Thomas Wooden Railway vehicles, track and destinations are not compatible with Take Along Thomas items.

My two and three year old take turns with this truck, and they both love it. The big wheels make it easy to push around, and it has taken substantial abuse and held up perfectly. We have had it less than a week, however. They love the two trash cans that come with it that can be fixed inside the back and the contents dumped when the lever is pulled, or taken out and filled with "trash" to dump in themselves. They carry it all around the house and push it at top speed around and around the gravel driveway. Big hit!
My son has the whole set of these vehicles (thanks Grandma!). They are tough,nice colours and fill that gap in toys for the not yet three years old set. No small pieces, perfect for a 1-3 year old who wants the big kid trucks they see in the stores. Also, the tires are a softer plastic so they aren't too loud on bare floors, unlike others, which makes Mommy very happy to recommend these!
My 20-month-old loves playing with this truck. It's very rugged and durable, built to withstand anything a little baby can dish out (he's even stood on it a few times and it's still no worse for wear). He loves to open the cab and operate the back door. It comes with a little man to drive it and two small plastic trash cans. It doesn't have any lights that flash, buzzers that make noise, or anything that squeaks...and that's the best part! It's tons of fun without the bells and whistles. We're definitely getting more in this line (I think there are five trucks in total).
My 3-year old loves garbage trucks, and this one is just perfect. He can spend lots of time driving it around "town," dumping the trash and reloading it, and taking the driver in and out. A real winner.
Whenever my son forgets to bring this truck to the playground, his little friends ask him where it is! He loves to open up the cab and take out the little man, or put little things (not just the removable garbage cans, but anything small enough, such as his tennis shoes or the TV remote) inside the truck. I love it because there are no batteries required, and it encourages creative thinking and play!

I purchased these for my son, and he loves them!! He has had so much fun adding them to his trains, and also he loves making them giggle :) a great add to any Thomas collection!!
These are one of my son's favorite Thomas trains. He enjoys pressing the top on the red truck to make it giggle repeatedly. I appreciate how well-made the Thomas trains are, they are solid and crafted better than other train brands we have tried (Nuchi, Melissa and Doug, etc.). We will buy more Thomas trains, and I recommend this set for the young train lover, as the giggling sound helps keep their attention as they try and figure it out.
My children just love these giggling trucks they are a lot of fun to play with, and I have bought them for friends and family too.
Thomas becomes more animated than ever! We gave these to our son for his third birthday. They have become a much loved part of his wooden railway system. He loves to pretend they are making trouble and giggling all the while. We've only had them a few weeks, but they seem to be very durable and have already received enough play to be well worth the cost. We highly recommend this addition to any wooden railway set.
As usual, Learning Curve delivers a great, sturdy product for my son's Thomas set. He loves those Troublesome Trucks, and loves to make up practical jokes to have them do as he's playing with his set.
The Troublesome Trucks are actually mixed goods wagons, so they can be used at all areas on the island, but especially enjoy causing trouble at the coal mines and quarries. Thomas Wooden Railway vehicles, track and destinations are not compatible with Take Along Thomas items.

A really cool cat camera and concept but not made very well. I think you have to pay over a hundred dollars for one of the ones that really do work well. Dont waste your money unless you just want a few days of fun before it gets wet by your cat drinking water!
This is a good idea, but a terrible camera. Probably 75% of the pictures were so blurry we couldn't even tell what they were. Plus, it only stayed on for 16 minutes, so we only got 16 pictures. The first time we charged it, the battery didn't charge either. I had to do it again on a different computer. As appealing as it sounds, don't buy this camera.
The camera is really fun and it takes good pictures. The major drawback is that it doesn't last long at all. If you forget and leave it on or overcharge, it is finished. Even if you don't it only works about 10% of the time they promise. Because it is fun, I've bought (and returned) a couple, but this will be my last time doing that. Forget about customer service from Uncle Milton. No one ever answers the phone and the only reply to an email is telling you when hermit crab shipping season is. So, some great highs when your cat comes back with a few winner shots, but real lows when it breaks almost immediately.
We bought this and had a great time yesterday afternoon, using it on the one minute setting. We got 40 pictures, and while most of them were blurry, it was fun to see where our cat goes.

But today after I put it on, I'm guessing my cat drank out of his water bowl, which dunked the camera. So [...] down the drain after one day of fun.
This seemed like a "must have" for our new dog. First off, it's bigger then you think. Our dog is ~20 lbs and the unit is a little bit too big on her collar. Secondly, I know it stated in the writeup, but **It ONLY takes 40 pictures**! In these days of digital wonder, that's not too much. I would expect some video or something. She quickly filled it up with pictures of the floor walls etc. I originally wanted this to see what she was up to in the house alone. After seeing this, I'm not really comfortable leaving this on our dog unattended. I guess her secret world will remain secret...

Spencer looks like a bullet train. My kid plays with Spencer and Emily more than Thomas and Edward.

But this take along diecasts in general are really well made. Even with constant mishandling, and dropping from a chest-high table, no problem (as long as they dont fall on your toes).

Buy the roundtable dock/housing. You'll be happy to hear your kids manufacture story lines as they play.

Great product!
Grandson now has about 28 Thomas and Friends toys and enjoys them all. He spends hours playing with them and is really getting into trains.
My son loves all the Thomas characters, especially Spencer. The take along size is nice, containing all the details of the larger versions. Since my son is not yet 3, this whole series is our preference. (It is rated for 2+)

I LOVE ALL GEOTRAX TRAINS - EXCEPT FOR THIS ONE. I HAVE 4, AND THIS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CAME WITHOUT A REMOTE. $25-$50 IS RIDICULOUS, THE TRAIN DOES NOT RUN. IT IS BATTERY OPERATED JUST TO MAKE A SOUND AND LIGHTS!!
Brutus and Victor are quite a mischief-making duo around Geo Town. With the motto "who needs teamwork?" they like to rely only on themselves and enjoying pestering the rest of the GeoTrax team. Includes 1" figure and 12" train set.

(Baking Powder Sub-Fun~)

Although this toy was inexpensive, it only worked one time. Regardless of refilling the top with baking powder, it only sinks and stays at the bottom.
I actually bought this as a surprise for my little grandson. He saw one in the gift shop at Georgia Aquarium. He didn't buy it and really wanted one. I phoned the aquarium but they were sold completely out. I was lucky to find it on Amazon. We've had sooo much fun. Goes forever with a little bit of powder. Nice to have simple toys. Sandie
This sub is a neat little toy. Took me a while to get it to work correctly. I wasn't putting enough backing powder in so it just sat on the top and didn't sink. Fulled around with it for about 10 minutes until i figured out the right thing to do. My son is a little to young yet to really understand and enjoy it yet. Meanwhile i am.
Of the many BP Subs I own, this is one of the best working subs. It's a modern remake, but it's funcitonality is great! For anybody interested in Baking Powder subs, this is a great place to start!!!

When my son added this to his Santa list - I was sure he'd be disappointed. I had never seen this car in stores... but he watched the movie again said "I saw it, it's there! Santa will bring it" and thankfully - Santa did... he was thrilled!!!

Shipping made this much more than any I bought in the store (which were all around $3) but it was worth it for this one car that was very special to him!
Even though my son tells anybody who will listen, "Chick Hicks is a cheater!", he loves this Dinoco version of him. It is definitely a hit in our house!
I know this toy is durable, because it it the same size and texture as the original Chick Hicks. Dinoco Chick is my favorite car, but I cant find one anywhere. Looks grat, better than the tacky green. GO CHICK, DINOCO IS ALL YOURS! KA-CHIGA, KA-CHIGA!

this a a good product, I have added 2 of these to my collection I have a number for each bus I have, these are school buses #25 and #36 that I have added to my fleet. A nice collectors gift.
My two and a half year old twin boys love these school buses. The only complaint is the mirrors on the sides fell right off. But other than that, they are completely fun for them and very realistic.

(CARS TEV CARRYING CASE)

My mother purchased this carry case to hold my 2 1/2 yr old sons cars. I love the case - well made, easy for him to open and close. BUT be warned that it is designed to hold the mini cars NOT standard matchbox size (1:60) and certainly not the standard CARS cars (1:55). My son was very frustrated when he could not fit the full size cars in the case and we ended up making a trip back to the store for a pack of mini cars. That said, the mini cars are very cute and all filled up with them, this makes a perfect travel toy.
This item was purchased for my grandson,s birthday, he will receive it on May 10. However, I am delighted with the product.
