The permanent assembly was easy (5 minutes), and my son is able to take apart and put back together himself when done playing. He quickly tires of it when he uses the elevator (a bit slow for his taste), but he likes to drop the cars down manually. Overall, this Hot Wheels set is easy and stays together.』

It is easy to assemble and worked fine, but like most Hot Wheels toys, although the box and the ads look like it is an amazing, fun experience, once you drop a few cars down the track you it starts to dawn on you....is that it? They played with it for about five minutes and then moved on to other things.』
(I bought it for my son, but My daughter loved it as well) 『I ordered this set for my son mainly for the track as The other set he received for his birthday didn't have much and this set wasn't expensive. When I brought it out, however both my Son and Daughter had a great time with it for hours. I wasn't expecting this toy to have any educational value, whatsoever, but the kids immediately began experimenting with different ways to set up the ramp and seeing where the car went with different setups. essentially they made it into a Physics experiment.
One aspect of the toy which didn't work so well was the elevator. The plastic is a bit too soft for the elevator apparatus to work smoothly, I ended up having to shave down a bit of plastic. after I did, it worked flawlessly.
One other thing is that the cars are moving fast when they jump off the ramp. So watch out for your walls!』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (pieces cracking) 『we got this for christmas last year (2008). we loved this set at first. once put together you have to make sure the pieces are just right and aligned or the car won't make the loops. it is pretty flexable and can easily get slid over slightly or bumped and then things aren't straight anymore. after being put away for a while, we took it out today only to find that most of the loop halves are cracked where they connect and therefore don't stay on correctly. one of the curved support tracks is cracked too. i looked into getting replacement pieces but only the loop halves are available for about $[...]/pair. i need 3 pair or $[...] plus shipping. the support track is retired. without the support track the whole thing is useless. we will just have to play with it without the loops. =(』

Our only complaint is that after a while the cars don't work as well coming out of the start box. They seem to spin their wheels a bit and then not have enough power left to get around the loops. When we just do it by hand, they do fine. We may try the set-up for one continuous loop next. Easy to put together, easy to use, looks cool, and it's fun.』

My 3-year old anxiouly assisted me (mostly by screaming "let's put the wheels on now!"), but we had a great time building it. I wouldn't say this was any more difficult than a bookshelf from Ikea.
My gripes would be that some of the holes were drilled a little bit off so all the pieces are a bit askew when assembled. But the bigger problems were that a few of the drill holes were too small (not a big deal), or too big (kinda a bigger deal) and required a little fill to make the screws stay in. Then the dowels for the wheels were bent so that they were hard to fit into the slots and of course made it impossible for the wheels to spin properly after assembly. But wait... maybe the wheels couldn't spin properly because they are all of slightly different sizes!
What a disappointment. My son still loves the truck, and the price is right, but I would've gladly paid a little more for a better manufactured product.』
