We gave this item as a gift for a 3 year old birthday party and the little boy loves it. The Mom has told me that this is lots of fun for playtime and he will be able to play with it in the future without outgrowing it. Larger than I expected and a good gift price.
I bought this toy for my 10 yr. old grandson. He LOVES Spider-Man and loves this car. Plays with it all the time with his friends. Very well made. It's a solid piece, very well made and durable. What a steal for this car.

My 2 year old loves this and so do I! This racer by Maxim is made of sturdy wood and the colors are fun. The two cars speed down the ramps and switch directions at every angle change. It's always exciting to guess which car will win! Fun for the whole family, boys and girls alike would think it's really cool.
This is a fun and well constructed toy that helps develop hand-eye coordination for toddlers, but I am subtracting a star for the inappropriate age designation listed on the product description and the box. In my opinion, 3-year olds and up will be bored with it.

However, I gave it to my 2-year old nephew and it was just perfect for him. Correctly seating the cars in the tracks was just the right challenge for him, and he spent a great deal of time experimenting with how the ramps worked and what happened when you put the cars in different places. There are no bells and whistles -- nothing lights up -- no electronic sounds -- just the simple mechanics of gravity and momentum. What a refreshing change!

The ramp and cars are made of wood and solidly put together. (He tested that, too!) I hope that he will spend many hours with it, although I suspect that once he is old enough to put the cars in correctly every time, his interest will wane. That's why I think it is more appropriate for younger toddlers than the product description suggests.
I bought this for my 2.5 year old nephew for x-mas and it was clearly his 2nd favorite toy out of about 50 total! (#1 being a set of instruments - he's very into music, but he had a blast with this racer too.) He got a little frustrated when the cars didn't slide down the track properly but it doesn't happen that often...with a little guidance he picked up quickly and plays with it over and over and over....almost a little annoying for the adult because of the monotony but he loves it so it's okay. I didn't find that any of his other cars worked though and other reviews said they did so not sure I would count on that if purchasing. The wooden ones it came with work great though.
I thought my 4 year old and 21 month old would love this for Christmas, but they have yet to give it much attention. The 4 year old plays with it more than the younger one. I think they got too many other things that do a lot more so they are not that interested in this one.

My 18 month old loves his ramp race (almost as much me). He pretty much trys to put anything in there, but is learning only to use small cars. The two cars that came with it, get down the ramps about 90% of the time without crashing.

Let your child pretend he/she is a Formula 1 racer winning a race! This colorful car track set will allow your child to have hours of imaginative fun. Ages 3+

This pixar car-chick hicks- completes the set that my grandson has and absolutely loves and plays with all the time. Its a well made little replica-it arrived on time and was brand new.
The item came in good condition and my son was excited to see it, but the price is really high. All the other car toys are available in Walmart for under 8 dollars and no reason why some one has to spend 25 bucks for one car. I guess non-availability of this one ( and also Mack ) is a reason
My son loves all of his CARS cars. We have close to 30! I guess I was lucky to find Chick Hicks early - my son's 5th birthday was the same week the DVD was released and Chick was one of the few available back then. Like other reviewers have stated, the price was around $4 at a local store.

My complaint is with the QUALITY of all of the Mattel 'CARS' cars! Granted, my son is a little rough with them, but I think that would be expected for the target audience of this toy. Chick is especially beat up because of my son pretending the bash the other cars, just like Chick Hicks does in the movie. The paint chips nearly immediately on every new car we get. In addition, one of the side mirrors on the Brand New Mater (blue) broke off. I am disappointed because I expected them to be as durable as the other Mattel and Hot Wheels cars we have.

For enjoyment value, I would highly recommend these cars, my kids play with them every day! Just don't expect a high quality long lasting product. (And be careful if babies are around - make sure no small parts break off the cars!)

My grandsons just love the 'topham hatt' car! This is a wonderful little toy for anyone who is into Thomas toys. My grandsons especially love the wooden 'learning curve' Thomas trains. There are trains and tracks on my floors all the time, seems like, but I love watching them play with them. They have such an imagination!
I was happy to finally find a Sir Topham Hatt to add to his collection. I have never seen him before. The quality is good, it just doesn't seem to be as good as the Wooden Trains. It does run on the tracks, although I found not as smoothly. I think it is a great toy for the price and a nice addition to have.
If you've ever been to the island of Sodor, you know Sir Topham Hatt is the head honcho. If you've ever played with the wooden Thomas the Thank Engine series, you know he rarely shows up in the sets in playable form. This car combines a human aspect that you don't often get with the wooden railway, and a very cool vehicle aspect that is rare as well. Combine that with the bob-along Sir Topham Hatt action triggered by the movement of the wheels and you've got a toy that will please long-time Thomas fans as well as the young ones just getting started. Sturdy as always, this is a great pick for new and old Thomasites alike!
If your child plays with Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends and watches the videos, he or she will certainly need a Sir Topham Hatt figure. The one in the car is best because the child will have him drive around to the site of the "trouble" and instruct Thomas or Percy to get the break down truck to the scene, just as the character in the video does. Our 2 1/2 year old plays with Thomas and Friends more than any other toy and he loves to watch the video and then move his engines and trucks around. Sir Topham Hatt in his blue car is always involved in his play.

My son had seen this in a catalog and had been talking about it for a month. He was very happy to find it in his Easter basket. Good quality, as all Wooden Thomas items are.

Very cool. They are filled with liquid but so far neither my 2 year old nor my 4 year old has had any success with smashing them open.
To those who have complained about leaks, you must not know that Learning Curve guarantees all of the Thomas products for life. Just contact them and they will replace the piece. Even if your child snaps a piece of track in half or whatever. Their customer service is great.
These trains came securely package from Amazon, and my 5 year old son loves them!

He's had them for 4 months, and no sign of leakage. (And believe me, he's rough on them! He stores his trains in a Thomas backpack, so they are jostled around with wooden and die-cast trains.)

The pale blue liquid is clear enough to see the pink octopus and gray shark, and the plastic encasement is very thick.

What a fun addition to the Thomas line, especially if your child has the "Down At The Docks" picture book that these trains are based upon.
These trains are very neat and my sons loved them when we first got them. They each have been through two sets with the same result...the water leaks out after you've had them awhile. They are not worth the money. I highly recommend investing in another train instead of the aquarium cars. This was the first time my guys have been disappointed with a Thomas product.
Okay, in my opinion, this is just about the neatest addition to a train set out there. We first saw this at a (...) store and my son just couldn't take his eyes (or his hands!) off of it, so the Easter Bunny brought him a set. Boy, what a great idea that was! These guys go along the track all the time, never stop, and we just can't believe how neat they are. We don't have any trouble with the leaking (although there were some in the store that were dried out...) or with the windows being too dark. I really personally just love this set and its uniqueness. What a great idea!

I bought this Mattel Batmobile (1966 vintage) to add to my collection of movie related 1/18th scale replica's. It's a most impressive collectible. I really enjoyed it from the time it arrived. For those who don't know, this 1966 version has been in litigation with copyright overtone for some time. Finally getting one is exciting.
