This set is NOT a starter set; it is essentially useless without another set of basic parts. The main problem with this set is it has no instructions. I have no idea what some of these "special parts" do. Even after significant experimentation, I couldn't figure a couple of them out. Nevertheless, it does add some nice options, and gives my daughters some extra things to experiment with. Well worth getting once you have another set or two in the house.』
(Magnext toys) 『I have a boy and a girl who both love to build with these toys and I find that we seem to never have enough pieces so I have been adding to our collection. We have had Magnext for a little over a year now with out incident, however 2 weeks ago my son swallowed one of the ball bearings on accident. Until that time I didn't realize how many children have swallowed these. We are not talking about little kids either most are over the age of 6. The balls are not toxic, so doctors just have you wait until it is digested naturally. It took over a week for it to exit my son's body, which is a long scary wait. I guess it would be comparable to if a child swallowed a marble. The actual magnet pieces are secure in very large plastic pieces that would be imposible to swallow. However, for some reason kids of all ages seem to like to put the balls in thier mouths and because of the smoothness and weight of the ball they are very easy to swallow on accident. The bottom line is this, although it is a very fun building toy that kids love to play with I am not sure it is worth the risk.』
(Magnext) 『I bought this set as an addition to other sets that I have bought for my grandchildren. Magnext are a lot of fun for children to play with. The small silver balls are not for children that put toys in their mouths, but my grandchildren 4 and 6 enjoy playing with them. They enable them to use their imagination to make many different things. I still watch them closely to be sure they do not put them near their mouths. The only complaint that I have is that there are very few construction examples included with the set.』
(Father of Two) 『Received the Magnext Dynamix game for a present to my 6 year old. There is no way we would purchase additional parts. The system just does not work well and is frustrating. There are no directions because I think the makers of this game realize it is just a sub-par game. My son played with it for about 10 minutes and back in the box/shelf it went.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (G...I...don't know) 『One word 2 syllables.....Storm Shadow....need I say more. This is probably my favorite next to Snake eyes with the wolf. I cannot say how durable this figure is because I will be saving this one in the original package to leave for a future child of mine to remember me by. But as most of you may know that this figure I have seen go for over $500.00 in the orignal package from the 80's. This figure is only for the true fan of G.I. Joe and those that still have a kid in them. IF you find one get it, but do not pay over $30 for it.』
(So close!) 『This review is for the 25th Anniversary edition of Storm Shadow, from the G.I. Joe series.
The figure is an amazingly accurate representation of the original Storm Shadow figure. The detail is amazing, and the paint apps are incredible. They've even included details that were originally introduced in the comic strip, such as Storm Shadow's tattoo that he shares with Snake-Eyes, a definite geek-out point for the fanboys rushing to purchase this toy.
I should point out that it is a lot more poseable than the original figure, which is no small feat. Wrist and ankle joints are articulated, as is the neck joint. There must be others that the original figure lacked that I'm forgetting, but the upshot is that you can put this toy into pretty much any position you desire.
The only area in which this toy falls short is in its accessories. The original figure came with a backpack in which you could store the longbow, katana, and wakizashi. The backpack also opened up to reveal the molded arrows inside, and came with plastic nunchucks as well. The 25th edition toy, though, doesn't offer a place to store the longbow, nor does the toy come with nunchucks. It's kind of disappointing, given the lengths Hasbro went to to improve on the original. They almost certainly could have come up with a way to store the longbow, as well as include the nunchucks.
However, these are minor quibbles. Hasbro did a great job with these figures and should be complimented for giving the fans what they want.』
